Gabi and Theo talked about what was going on with Lexie. He said he was worried about his father. Theo said no matter what Abe decided, someone was going to be hurt. While they were talking, Gabi told Theo about Tony offering her the CEO position. Theo said she would be a good choice. Gabi said she turned down the job. Philip showed up and kissed Gabi. Theo was upset about it. Philip noticed Theo’s reaction. Gabi said Theo talked to her about Lexie. Kayla talked to Lexie about what was going on in Salem. While they were talking, Lexie asked Kayla about Paulina. She told Kayla about the things she heard about Paulina. Lexie said Paulina was a terrible person. She told Kayla that she felt like she woke up from a nap. Lexie said she loved Abe. When Lexie said she hated Paulina, Kayla said good things about her. She suggested that Lexie talk to Abe about what was next. Lexie said she would do that, but she had to talk to Paulina first.
Abe went to see EJ to thank him. He told EJ that despite his selfish reasons, he loved Lexie and was grateful that she was back. Abe said he appreciated him getting Theo to quit DiMera, but he didn’t trust him. He told EJ to stay away from Lexie and Theo. Abe ripped into EJ for enjoying the pain Paulina was in. EJ brought up Paulina being kicked to the curb. Abe didn’t confirm that she was getting kicked out. He said Lexie was his great love, but he and Paulina built a life together. EJ wondered how long that would last. Alex told Stephanie that he met with Joy. He said he wouldn’t take custody of Kelsey without talking to her. Alex said he wanted her to get together with Kelsey. She said it would have to wait until after Tripp and Wendy’s wedding. Stephanie asked if he wanted to go with her after everything that was going on. She suggested he bond with the baby. Stephanie said she was trying. They decided to spend time together before they parted ways. Kayla told EJ that the board was filing a complaint with the state medical regulatory and licensing agency over his activities. Lexie told Abe that she wanted to meet Paulina. Abe agreed to let her meet Paulina.
