And it makes me think, after everything we’ve been through… What? It makes me wonder if you’re someone I can trust. Kristina has struggled so much with this, and I know that Molly has, too. Yeah, but Molly’s always been somehow better at it. I’m not going to lie. She has been better at it because she’s emotionally stronger. She just is. She’s able to put one foot in front of the other and face whatever comes at her head on. Well, Kristina has always been a little, mm, fragile than volatile, right? You think? A little? [ Laughs ] Well, listen, it’s okay, though, because Kristina is a very passionate young woman who, when she does get knocked down, yes, she takes a little longer to get up, but she always gets up, Alexis. You know, I think Kristina saw Molly as the enemy because of the way she grieves. Molly grieved differently. She did. She has a totally different process. And Kristina interpreted that as her not having big enough feelings and that Molly’s feelings weren’t right. And now? And now I think she realizes that. And she realizes that she can’t heal without her sister. That’s a beautiful realization. It’s a relief. I think they’re each other’s missing piece. Mm. And they need each other to lean on. They do, to heal after everything we’ve all had to go through. Uh huh. This has been a grueling, torturous, God awful storm, honey, but you have weathered it, and there are fairer days ahead. You know what? I’m really starting to believe that. Mm hmm. I am. Not only does Molly respect and understand the law, she has more integrity in her pinky than I do in my entire body. I swear, sometimes I don’t even know where she gets it. Certainly not from her mother. If Sonny or Alexis had ever made Kristina actually pay for any of her mistakes, she probably wouldn’t be such a train wreck. Yes, exactly. And because Kristina had to have more and more attention all the time, Molly was forced to be independent. I’m telling you, my daughter is the definition of responsible. While her sister is decidedly not. That’s exactly my point. You do realize that by covering this up and blackmailing Alexis, you’re allowing said train wreck to escape all culpability. Are you prepared to risk that? She’s a loose cannon, Ava. It’s not going to take much for Kristina to fly off the handle and try to kill you…again. Okay. What What were you doing in Elizabeth’s room? And I know how much you love the game, But, Kai, how? Your doctors say that if you get hit again, you might be paralyzed for the rest of your life. Yes, they did okay, but it turns out that may not be true. In what universe am I the problem? You know what, Curtis, out of deference to our former friendship, I have cut you some slack. But now you’re using your grudge against me to potentially deny Kai a career that he has dreamed of his whole life. No, I’m not. I’m simply not buying your savior act. You’re making this young man promises that you can’t keep. I’m not promising him anything. All I’ve done is introduce him to a doctor that’s had great success with athletes that have suffered similar injuries. It’s wrong for you to stand in his way. I’m not. In fact, I told him You know what? If you really cared about Kai, you would encourage him to grab this opportunity before it’s too late to have a chance to actually benefit him. Anyway, we were talking about the Pediatric Sports Initiative, and he asked me what I wanted out of life, and I told him I’m still trying to figure that out now that football isn’t a part of it. And what did he say? He told me about this doctor who’s making huge strides in vertebrae repair, and he told me he can get me in to see him. Oh, okay, so Drew just so happens to know somebody who can offer you exactly what you want. Well, he’s a congressman, so he probably knows a lot of people. Anyway, Drew thought I could be a candidate for this procedure. Drew did? And he’s willing to pay for it, Trina. Isn’t that incredible? Yeah, it just seems really hard to believe. I am not standing in Kai’s way. He came to me for advice, and I gave it to him. Frankly, the idea of him being in a wheelchair and paralyzed was enough for me to advise caution. But the possibility doesn’t seem as important to you. Kai is aware of all the possibilities. I gave him all the information. He is making his own decision. I am just in a position to help him accomplish everything that he’s worked so hard for. Just like I did for you. Excuse me? Oh, come on, Curtis, how do you think you ended up being CEO of Aurora? You wouldn’t have been in this office in the first place if I didn’t put you here. That is quite the list. Oh, well, that’s just your half of the list. See, I want as many people in our community to participate as humanly possible. So all you have to do is call each and every person on that list and confirm that they’re going to be performing. Okay. Um, and I wanted to I just came to say a quick prayer first. I heard. I mean, I know my dad hasn’t always been your favorite guy, but thank you. You’ve been an amazing sister through this. Oh. Where’s this coming from? I’m just reporting what I saw. You have no idea what you saw. Just walk me through what happened. I ran into Vaughn at the coffee shop. When I arrived, he was talking to a woman. Fancy seeing you here. Ms. Jacks. Later, he stood up to go to the coffee counter and he zipped up his hoodie. It looked like some sort of signal, and on his way back, he bumped into that woman and he dropped a plate. Woman: Excuse me. She crouched down to help him, and that’s when she passed him a small package. It looked like a pack of gum. Vaughn came back to the table and the woman left right after. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I just heard you say that Vaughn isn’t cleared for field work. Sir, that’s not what happened. And, Jacks, do you honestly think trying to discredit me will impress the chief? I hate this, too. I can’t stand fighting with you. And I hate that the situation with Jack has come between us. But I can’t live my life by your rules any more than you want to live by mine. And you’ve never policed in my life and relationships the way I did with you. I mean, you wouldn’t have listened if I tried. No. Probably not, okay? But I sure do understand how much it hurt you when I would backseat drive your relationships. I hate having an ultimatum between us because it’s awful. But I don’t want to choose between you and Jack, okay? I just don’t. He means that much to you? No, no, that’s the crazy thing. Okay, Dr. Mohinder is the only surgeon performing this surgery in the continent, and my insurance doesn’t cover it, so maybe that’s why nobody considered it an option. Or maybe because it’s just too new. Look, I’ll know more after I meet with Dr. Mohinder. And Drew can get me a consultation. And what is Drew gonna do? Pay the six figure tab? That’s what he said. He barely knows you. So why would he do that? I am telling the truth. If Agent Vaughn can explain it, great. If he can’t… Agent Vaughn. What do you have to say for yourself? Yes. I spoke to a woman at the café. She asked if she could have a sugar. I gave it to her. I did zip up my hoodie when I went to the counter because I was cold. No, no, she passed you something and she left right after because her job was done. Of course she left because she was done with her coffee. So do you stand by these accusations, Josslyn? Fortunately for Vaughn, I find his version of the events credible. As for you, well, maybe your mind was playing tricks on you. So, do you stand by your version of the events?
