Heartwarming Comedy Series Starring Rafe Spall and Esther Smith Premieres Friday, July 22 on Apple TV+ Trailer
Leading into National Parent’s Day on Sunday, July 24th, the third season of Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed series “Trying” premieres Friday, July 22. In “The Home,” Jason and Nikki wake up as the new parents of two kids they’ve barely met. But will they be able to keep both? In the second episode, “The Circle,” Jason worries that Tyler will be bullied at school. While Nikki has to fire someone at work, bad news from the landlord forces Jason to take a big gamble. The eight-episode third season of “Trying” will make its debut with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday through September 2, 2022.
About “Trying” – After a dramatic end to season two, the eight episode third season picks up with Nikki (BAFTA nominee Esther Smith) and Jason (SAG Award-nominee Rafe Spall) waking up as new parents to two children they are still getting to know. Now they just have to keep hold of them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. Thrown straight into the parental deep-end, Nikki and Jason’s relationships with each other and with their nearest and dearest are tested as they desperately try to navigate the ups and downs of parenting — while hanging onto their kids, and their sanity.
In addition to Smith and Spall, the season three cast includes Eden Togwell (as ‘Princess’), Mickey McAnulty (as ‘Tyler’), Oliver Chris (as ‘Freddy’), Sian Brooke (as ‘Karen’), Darren Boyd (as ‘Scott’) and Robyn Cara (as ‘Jen’).
“Trying” is created, written and executive produced by Andy Wolton, directed and executive produced by Jim O’Hanlon (“Catastrophe,” “Marvel’s The Punisher”), produced by Sam Pinnell (“Motherland,” “Derry Girls”), co-produced by Tim Mannion and executive produced by Josh Cole. The series is produced by BBC Studios.

For the first time since he signed a “multi-year” contract with WWE, YouTube star Logan Paul is set to appear live on “Raw”.
WWE is promoting that Paul will be The Miz’s guest for a Miz TV segment during tonight’s episode. Miz and Paul were victorious in a tag team match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38. However, after the match, Miz turned on Paul and planted his partner with a Skull Crushing Finale.
When he signed his WWE contract in late June, Paul made it clear he was not interested in future teaming with The Miz. Paul wrote “Coming 4 U @ Miz” on the back of his contract and held it up for a camera. He’s made it clear that he wants a match against Miz at SummerSlam.
Despite Paul’s public vow of vengeance, Miz has been pitching a reunion of their tag team over recent weeks. At one point, Miz declared his interest in pursuing the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles with Paul as his partner.
Also being promoted for tonight is another title defense for “Raw” Women’s Champion Bianca Belair against Carmella. This will be the third title match between these two women in less than a month.
Belair successfully defended her title with a decisive victory over Carmella at the Money in the Bank event earlier this month. Despite that, Carmella received a title rematch on last Monday’s “Raw”. This time, Carmella was able to steal a count-out victory over Belair. A timely distraction by Becky Lynch caused Belair to not beat the referee’s 10-count to get back into the ring. The victory for Carmella did not result in a title change but it did net her another championship match.

A new challenger for NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose is set to be decided on tonight’s “WWE NXT”. The winner of a 20-woman battle royal will get the next title shot.
The 20 participants being promoted for the battle royal are Alba Fyre, Amari Miller, Arianna Grace, Cora Jade, Elektra Lopez, Fallon Henley, Indi Hartwell, Ivy Nile, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Kiana James, Lash Legend, Nikkita Lyons, Sarray, Sloane Jacobs, Tatum Paxley, Tiffany Stratton, Valentina Feroz, Wendy Choo, and Yulisa Leon.
Notably absent from the lineup is Roxanne Perez. She lost to Rose in a title match on last Tuesday’s episode. Perez was pinned after she was attacked by Jade during the match and presumably in the parking lot outside the arena earlier in the night. Perez and Jade are the current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, and up until last week were portrayed as best friends.
The NXT UK Tag Team Championship is set to be defended tonight. The new champs Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs will put the gold on the line against former titleholders Pretty Deadly. Jensen and Briggs won the vacant titles on an episode of “NXT UK” last month. Pretty Deadly had a 265-day reign as NXT UK Tag Team Champions before they were moved to the “NXT” brand.
JD McDonagh (formerly known as Jordan Devlin) will have his first televised match on “NXT” since he was moved over from the “NXT UK” brand. He will face Cameron Grimes. McDonagh appears to be next in line to challenge NXT Champion Bron Breakker after his attack on Breakker at the end of The Great American Bash special two weeks ago.
Joe Gacy has promised to reveal the identities of The Dyad tonight. The cloaked figures have been accompanying Gacy for weeks.
WWE is also promoting that we’ll see video of an “altercation” between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner that happened backstage at last Friday’s “SmackDown” at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida.

Throughout, Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell refused to talk with investigators or say where the children were.
