Vernon called his family to meet at the house. He wanted them to know that Anita was back in town. Anita noticed tension between Nicole and Dani. She also noticed something going on with Vernon. Anita wanted to talk to them separately. She started with Dani. Dani couldn’t believe the way Nicole was treating her. She blurted out that she was sleeping with Andre. Dani said Andre wasn’t blood related to them and wondered what Anita thought about it. Anita said Dani has been through a lot and deserved happiness. She wondered why Dani and Andre haven’t gone public yet. Anita thought Dani was hoping that Bill would come back to her. She suggested that Dani focus on Andre and time would take care of the rest. Anita told Dani that Nicole didn’t hate her. After her talk with Dani, Anita had a talk with Nicole. Anita defended Dani seeing Andre. She asked Nicole why it was her business if Dani and Andre sleep with each other. Anita reminded her that Dani and Andre weren’t related to each other. Nicole said she was tired of rationalizing other people’s lies. She admitted that she was upset because of what is happening in her life. Anita said she had a right to be upset but it was at the wrong person. She advised her to blame the people who hurt her.

After Anita talked with Nicole and Dani, Nicole said she and Dani would handle things. They went to Uptown to talk things out. Nicole told Dani that she was projecting her anger towards her. Dani said she was sad that Nicole was in the position she’s in and told Nicole that she didn’t have to apologize. Nicole said she wasn’t sorry. She said Dani should be supporting her not causing more drama in her life. Dani was upset about Nicole’s comment. Nicole accused Dani of using Andre and said if she loved him, she would show him off at the club. She accused Dani of hiding him like a secret. Dani was upset about that too. Martin told Vernon that he was thinking about his meeting with Kenneth. Vernon advised him to keep it together and to keep it from Anita. Martin said he understood that he had to fake it until Kenneth went away. At Orphey Gene’s Jacob wanted Smitty to ask Martin what happened between him and Marcel. Smitty said that wouldn’t be easy but Martin never answers him. Jacob decided to be honest with Naomi and told her who the reporter was in the Marcel situation. He told her that Smitty thought Marcel did something to Martin. They thought Joey and Marcel might have teamed up to blackmail Martin over what happened that night. Naomi thought they should go to Vernon. Jacob agreed with her. Martin told Smitty that he loved their life together and apologized for not supporting his dream. He said he wouldn’t make Smitty worry anymore and said he would get his nightmares under control. Smitty thought Marin was worried about something else. At the hospital, Ted apologized to Andre for Nicole’s reaction to him being with Dani. He said his betrayal was why Nicole sees everything as a betrayal, but he thought she would come around. Andre said he didn’t think there would be a future. He said he was in, but didn’t think Dani was. After Ted’s talk with Andre, Eva showed up for work but wasn’t getting it as fast as she did with Nicole. Eva thought Kat was right about him not having the right daughter for the job. Ted called Kat and asked her to train Eva. Kat refused at first but changed her mind. When Kat showed up, things were icy between her and Eva until they started getting along. Ashley told Andre that she and Derek were over. Andre let her know that she wasn’t a bad person for knowing what she wanted. She said it was time for her to move on from Derek and asked Andre out. Ashley wanted to go to Uptown, but Andre didn’t think that was a good idea. Andre said he didn’t want to ruin their relationship, but Ashley said they could still be friends if it didn’t work.

At the country club, Kat told Ted that it was a mistake to hire Eva as the office manager. She said Eva couldn’t be trusted as long as she was still involved with Leslie. Kat said they were evil and tied together forever. She told him that Eva ignored her warning about Leslie’s involvement in Laura’s accident. Eva said the police couldn’t pin Leslie for Laura’s accident. Ted tried to make peace for them by telling them that they were both bright and had more in common than they realize. Kat said she had to leave to meet Tomas. When Ted noticed Kenneth, he left too. Kat was ready for her dinner with Tomas. Eva went to their table and talked to Tomas about books. Kat wasn’t happy about it. An upset Kat made Eva leave the table. Tomas told her Eva was being nice. Kat said she was trying to ruin their date. She told him that she loved being with him and wanted tonight to be her first time. Bill went to Dani’s place to apologize for everything he put her through. He said no one knew him the way she did. Bill said she saved him when she visited him at the hospital. He said he felt trapped in his body and wasn’t himself. When she walked into his room, she read him with a look. He said he wasn’t going back to her because he belonged with Hayley. While he was talking, he told Dani that he regretted the way he left her. He said he felt trapped and blamed her for not realizing his pain. Dani said she felt it but didn’t realize it was Hayley. Bill said they were going through the motions and called himself a coward for walking out on her the way he did. He apologized for not honoring her the way he should have. When he apologized for opening old wounds, Dani said they never closed. She said she blamed herself for what happened to their marriage so she appreciated the apology.

When Bill left Dani’s place, Hayley showed up. Hayley told Dani not to mistake Bill’s visit for anything other than nostalgia. She let Dani know that she was secure in her marriage, but Dani didn’t believe her. Hayley warned Dani that she would die waiting if she thought Bill was going back to her. While they were talking, Hayley had a pain in her stomach. Dani asked if she hurt her imaginary fetus. Smitty continued to work on the Marcel story. He had proof that Marcel had $50,000 in a private bank account. Martin said he had a bad feeling about it and thought Smitty should drop the story. He told Smitty that the article wasn’t worth their future. Jacob was concerned about Marcel’s dealings. He thought Marcel betrayed his father. Smitty called to meet him at Orphey Gene’s. Jacob agreed to meet him. Smitty told him about what happened two years ago before Marcel got the money in his bank account. He said Martin went to a political event with Vernon and then came home wearing different clothes. He said Martin told him he ruined his suit changing a tire, but freaked out when he asked him for more information. Smitty said he thinks Martin witnessed a crime and Marcel targeted him for it. He told Jacob he would bring Marcel down if he was a threat to his husband. Vernon, Chief Hawthorne, Marcel, and Joey met to talk about the man who reached out to Martin about the incident. They talked about making sure the truth never came out. Ted showed up and asked if they were going to make plans without him. He said he wanted to be in on the plans since his son was involved. Bill showed up to the meeting. Joey said sticking together would guarantee that they get away free. When Martin showed up, he realized Ted has known all along. Martin said it started and ended with him. He said they couldn’t keep him out of it.

Kat pressed Jacob to do what he needed to do to bring Leslie down. While they were talking about her, Leslie walked into Orphey Gene’s. She sat at their table and let them know that she was tired of them trying to frame her. Leslie felt like Kat was a brat with no control and thought them getting worked up was everything. She offered to help them with their investigation. Kat felt like she was delusional. Leslie warned them that it would be better for them if she worked with them instead of against them. She told them that Bill laughed when she told him about the case against her. After Leslie left, Jacob told Kat that the DNA match was 97.5 percent. The test showed that the helmet belonged to Leslie, but it didn’t prove that she was the person who ran Laura off the road. Dani was working on contracts for her modeling agency when she had a vision of Bill. She asked him why she couldn’t stop thinking about him. Pamela arrived and stopped her from reaching out to Bill. Dani assured her that she was over Bill, but she admitted that she felt conflicted. Pamela asked her about Hayley and Dani wasn’t concerned about her. She told her that Andre was a better man for her than Bill. They decided to talk about their business. While they were talking about their company, Dani thought about happier times with Bill. Dani called Bill, and he assured her that he wasn’t available. Dani let him know that he would be. Bill met with Vernon at the Dupree mansion. He told Vernon assured him that he wasn’t the one with the problem. Bill felt like Vernon and his family were the problem. Vernon said that Bill worked with family for years. He let him know that if the Duprees went down, he would go down with them. Before Bill was trying to leave, he wanted an apology from him for the way the family treated Haley.They talk about the way Bill treated Dani over the years. Vernon and Bill also talked about the way the family turned on him because of Hayley. Wayne didn’t plan to do Vernon’s bidding. Vernon warned him about a mutual problem they shared. He told him about an enemy they shored. Vernon told him about Kenneth. The men went back and forth insulting each other. Vernon warned him that he wouldn’t come out looking good. Bill eventually told him that he would wait for his call.

Martin confronted Kenneth. H demanded to know what Kenneth wanted from him. Kenneth wanted him to squirm. He said something strange about Samantha. Martin was ready to punch him in the face for that. Kenneth wanted justice, but he wanted it in the form of money. He told him that he wanted $100,000 for now. Kenneth planned on getting more money from him. He said to consider the money reparations. Kenneth doesn’t need Martin to be intimidated by him. He wanted Martin to fear him. If Martin did anything wrong, Kenneth planned to turn him to the police. Martin tried to blackmail Kenneth too, but he didn’t care. He walked away from Martin and felt like he had the upper hand. Later, Martin told Vernon what happened with Kenneth. He wanted to come clean about everything, but Vernon didn’t want him to tell it. His advice was to wait and see what happens next. Bill was on his phone talking about someone about taking drastic measures when Tomas walked into the room. Tomas tried to overhear something, but he didn’t. Bill warned him that knowing too much could be dangerous.

It turned out Kenneth wasn’t the one who took Martin’s keys. Kenneth was confronted about it, and he said he was an avenging angel. He was there to make things right. Kenneth was talking about the night in question. He said Martin had friends in high places who cleaned up everything. Martin doubted that he was the guy he claimed to be. Kenneth said enough to make Martin suspicious of him. Martin tried to buy Kenneth off, but he said he couldn’t be bought. He hated him and what he stood for. His brother would have said the same thing if he were still there. Kenneth finished Martin’s thought for him. Vernon told someone on the phone that the person who would pay for disappointing him. Martin approached Vernon after his phone call. He told Vernon that what happened two years ago has come back to haunt them. Martin told him that what happened could destroy the family. Vernon was determined to keep that from happening. Martin felt like Kenneth gave them exactly what they needed. Vernon told him that if Kenneth approached Martin, he should go directly to him. Vernon talked to Martin about what they went through as Duprees. He refused to back down from a fight. Vernon and Martin promised to be there for each other. After Martin left, Vernon got on the phone again. He warned the person that someone was back. Vanessa let Doug know that she figured out a way to solve their problem with Joey. Doug hated watching how excited Vanessa was about the situation. She was determined to get the information about Joey’s illegal activities. Doug insulted Vanessa, but she reminded him that he was the reason why they were in that situation. Once Joey is paid, Doug would be done with him.

Ted was surprised to find his door open, and Nicole in his room. She wanted him to stop sending her flowers every day. Nicole let him know that she was giving his flowers to the nurses. She told him that she was there because they needed to talk about legal arrangements if they were staying separated. Ted wanted to move back to the house so they could work things out, but Nicole didn’t want that. She wanted to get her life back as an individual. Nicole let him know that he broke her. Ted hated what he did to her. Every time she looked at him all she could think about was Leslie. He felt like they could survive Leslie, and they could move on from her. Nicole wanted to work on herself even though he wanted to get back together. Smitty went to the police station and talked to Jacob. He wanted his help. Smitty wanted to meet with Jacob somewhere else so they could talk about a crooked cop. The chief heard part of their conversation. He wanted to meet with Monroe. They realized that the walls were closing on them. Jacob and Smitty went to Orphey Gene’s to talk. He couldn’t believe Smitty’s story was about Monroe. They compared notes and realized that Joey was paying Monroe. Monroe and the chief played poker with Doug. They were trying to find the best way to take care of Smitty. Smitty and Jacob talked about what they were going to do next. Vanessa interrupted the card game. She realized that it was more than poker. Joey felt like their relationship should have boundaries. He felt like she was getting too close to his profession. Joey thought Vanessa wouldn’t be able to handle it if she knew everything that he did. She called his bluff and wanted to know what he was doing.

Martin and Vernon talked about Kenneth (the busser) from the country club. They wanted to know who he was and what he wanted. Martin and Vernon wondered why he showed up now. After hearing Kenneth’s voice, Martin was convinced that he was the person he was hearing in his visions. He knew the voice sounded the same. Martin left the club, but he forgot to take his keys. He went back for them, but the keys were gone. Martin thought that Kenneth took the keys. Vernon made a call to someone about dealing with Martin’s situation. He was angry when he told someone that it wasn’t supposed to happen that way. The problem needed to be handled immediately. Vernon threatened the person on the phone. He reminded the caller that he wasn’t someone you wanted to mess with. Hayley noticed that Bill took out a $10 million policy. She wanted to know if his condition was worse than she thought. Bill assured her that he did it to make sure that she would be taken care of if something happened to him. Kat wanted to talk to Chelsea about them getting sued for copyright infringement. Chelsea wanted to talk about her love life. After seeing the documents, Chelsea thought their dream of having a purse empire might be over. Chelsea left to talk to her father about the paperwork. Kat met up with Jacob to find out how the investigation was going. Naomi arrived to tell Jacob that June’s belongings were taken during a cleanup of the homeless encampment. June was upset because they took her picture of her children.

Kat met with Tomas to get legal advice. She wanted to talk about Leslie. Kat wondered if she could circumvent the police to get her DNA test ran. Tomas told her the results would be inadmissible because the evidence would be broken. They changed the subject and talked about Kat virginity. Tomas realized that things are worth waiting for. Chelsea went to see Bill about the lawsuit. He assured her that she could ignore the lawsuit. She wondered why she should ignore the case. Bill told her that the company that’s suing her would have an uphill battle trying to prove their case. Jacob butted heads with Monroe at the station. Smitty talked to Tyrell about the story he’s working on. He said that he was doing an article about a dirty cop. Smitty felt like the story could lead to illegal payoffs. Monroe suddenly came into some money two years ago. Smitty felt like it was connected to Martin. Monroe and the chief talked about Smitty’s investigation. They talked about Smitty’s investigation would lead to his home. Jacob found a box of June’s belongings, and it had a picture inside of it. June was happy to retrieve her things. She promised that she wouldn’t lose them again.

Chelsea and Madison spent the night together. Madison was upset when Chelsea grabbed her phone after they were together. She thought that she was telling people about their night together. Chelsea assured her that she didn’t talk about their time together. Madison was concerned about her addiction to her phone. Chelsea informed her that social media was part of her job. Madison told her that the most important connections are in person. She agreed with Madison and put down her phone. Martin beat up the busser at the club. He demanded answers from him. The busser told him that he saw him before, but there were a lot of people that come in and out of the club. Martin demanded that he repeat the phrase he told him. He thought it would confirm his suspicions, but it didn’t help. Martin was about to leave when he ran into Naomi. She sensed that something was wrong with him. Martin didn’t feel like opening up to her so he brushed her off and left the club. He went home, and Smitty noticed that something was wrong with him. Smitty told Martin about his interview with Marcel. His announcement triggered flashbacks for Martin. Martin admitted that his nightmares didn’t go away. Smitty didn’t understand what Marcel had to do with Martin’s nightmares. He wanted Martin to tell him everything he knew about the nightmares. Martin remembered how Vernon said to keep his family safe by not telling them about the nightmares. He decided not to tell Smitty the truth, but he promised to get help when things get out of control.

Andre and Dani talk about whether they should go public with their relationship. He thought Kat and Chelsea already knew about them. Dani was upset about the idea that they knew about them. She thought Chelsea wouldn’t like her being with someone closer to her age, and Nicole would be upset with both of them that they were together. Dani wasn’t happy about it when Andre told her that he talked to Ted about their relationship. He said that he told Ted by mistake. Andre wondered if her attitude had something to do with Bill. Dani denied his accusation. She admitted that she was afraid of getting played. Dani was tired of men treating her like she wasn’t good enough. Andre didn’t like that she lumped him in with the likes of Bill. Dani wondered if there were other women for him. He swore she was the only one for him. Andre assured her that she was the only one for him. He wanted to stop hiding their relationship, and she finally agreed to do it. Chelsea showed up so Andre left. Dani was about to explain why he was there when Chelsea admitted that she was in love. Dani supported her decision. She wasn’t shocked to find out that Chelsea loved Madison. Dani reminded her about her last relationship and didn’t think she should rush into it. She told Chelsea that she could invite Madison over for dinner. Chelsea told her that she could invite her new boyfriend too. Joey and Vanessa had just enough time to put their clothes on when Doug arrived at the casino. He demanded to know what they were up to. Joey told him that they worked out a lucrative deal. Doug wanted a moment alone with Vanessa. He insulted Joey’s casino. Joey warned him that he put people in the hospital for less. Doug wanted a few minutes with his wife. He didn’t like Vanessa working with Joey so much. She reminded him that he was the reason why she had to work with Joey. She refused to let Joey have his way with her. Doug wondered if she already did that. Joey came back, and Doug offered a new deal for him. He and Vanessa would take a 20% commission that they would split evenly. Doug threatened him too. He said that he knew enough that he would want him to remain close.

Martin was at the country club with Vernon. He told him about his nightmares and how they are getting worse. Martin didn’t know what would help him if he could get help. He told Vernon that he talked to his mother about it. Vernon wasn’t happy about it. He wondered if Martin knew what he did. Vernon felt like the only way to keep the family safe was for Martin to confide in him. The family would only be safe if Martin decided not to tell the family what happened. It was hard to keep quiet, but Vernon managed not to say anything to the family about Martin. Martin thought things could get worse. He didn’t notice the man watching him at the country club. Vernon left when Anita called him. The man asked Martin what color his money was. It was the same thing that Martin heard in his nightmare. Chelsea and Kat hung out at Dani’s guesthouse. Tomas helped them move in the house. Kat pretended to be jealous when Chelsea and Dani started flirting with him. Dani offered him a modeling job. After he left, Dani wanted to know if Tomas was worthy of Kat. Dani was happy that Chelsea and Kat were moving into the guesthouse. Chelsea called Madison and flirted with her. Kat heard it and realized that she was in a relationship with the doctor. They started talking when Andre arrived. He barged into the house demanding to see Dani. Andre tried to cover, but it was too late when he mentioned that he wasn’t related to the Duprees. They put it together that Dani and Andre were hooking up. Chelsea didn’t see anything wrong with it.

Bill wanted to be released from the hospital. He talked to Madison about it. Hayley had a plan to keep him in line with his physical therapy. Bill wasn’t sure he was ready for what she had planned. She showed him a slideshow of their lives together. Hayley wanted him to take care of himself and be around for them. She showed him a picture of herself wearing lingerie. Dani showed up at the hospital and ran into Tomas. She wondered if he was making Kat happy. He thought Kat was special. Tomas cared about her. Dani warned him not to hurt her or he would have to leave town. She barged into Bill’s room and turned on the lights. Dani was shocked to find Bill and Hayley making out in his bed. She told him that she would talk to him about the kids later. Bill wanted to hear about them. Hayley didn’t want to hear about them. Ashley talked to Andre about her relationship with Derek. She wasn’t sure if he was asking her out to dinner because he wanted to break up with her in public.  Derek was talking to Naomi about whether he should go through with his plan for tonight. Ashley asked Andre what he would do if he were in Derek’s situation. Andre said he wouldn’t let her go. After their conversation, Ashley got dressed up to meet with Derek. She wanted to make sure she looked good when she had to walk away. Ashley and Derek met at Uptown. She was ready to get dumped, but Derek surprised her. Derek told her that she made him a better man and asked her to marry him.

Kat and Eva ran into the country club. They got into a heated argument. Eva called Kat out for planting evidence in her mother’s apartment. She thought Kat was the only one who had a reason to do it. Kat didn’t approve of being called a common thief, but Eva refused to back down to her. She told Kat that her mother is a storm and destroys everything in her path. Kat felt like Leslie was a cockroach. Eva didn’t want to talk to Kat anymore. She told Kat to take a page out of Martin’s book and accept how things are. Smitty found out what his next story was going to be about. He found out that he had to investigate Jacob’s partner, Marcel Malone. Martin thought Smitty was too good to do a story like that. Smitty was moved that Martin finally took an interest in his work. Jacob met with Marcel at Uptown. They saw Leslie at the bar. Jacob was upset that he couldn’t get a warrant to test her DNA. Marcel warned him that he wouldn’t get what he wanted if he kept playing by the rules. Leslie walked out of the bar just as Jacob received an upsetting call. He wondered what the person wanted now. Kat met with Mona to talk about Leslie. Mona still couldn’t believe that she convinced Nicole to hire Eva. Kat didn’t want her to feel guilty about it. She wanted Mona to be the person who got Leslie out of their lives for good. They devised a plan to take Leslie down.

Mona met with Leslie at Orphey Gene’s. She apologized to Leslie for the way she spoke to her when they saw each other. Leslie accepted her apology. Mona told Leslie that Laura didn’t hold a grudge against Eva for what happened. She told Leslie that the church teaches forgiveness. Leslie asked her if she forgave her. Mona wasn’t ready to forgive yet, but she was willing to hear her side of the story. Jacob walked into Orphey Gene’s because Kat called him. He didn’t like how Kat was playing amateur detective again when he told her to stay away from Leslie. Jacob thought Kat had more in common with Leslie than sh realized. She couldn’t believe that he would compare her to Leslie. Kat felt like she had the right to go after Leslie and Eva since she was right about them. Leslie and Mona were eating powdered donuts. Mona noticed that Leslie got powder on her mouth and took it off of her. She empathized with Leslie for wanting her daughter to have a relationship with her father. Mona thought she could have told Ted privately. She didn’t have to go after Nicole. Mona called her out for taking pleasure in watching Nicole suffer. She couldn’t get over that and couldn’t forgive Leslie for that. Leslie decided on a new plan. She played the victim. Leslie felt it was cruel of Mona to invite her out only to ambush her. She thought that Mona was just as mean as she said she was. Leslie stormed out of Orphey Gene’s. Mona approached Kat and told her that they got what they wanted. She got Leslie’s DNA. Jacob couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Kat reminded him that she and Mona got Leslie’s DNA in a public place so it was fair game. If Leslie’s DNA matched what was on the helmet, Jacob would have the evidence he needed to arrest her. Ted met with Eva for lunch. She talked about how she missed working for Nicole. Eva enjoyed doing hair, but she loved her job with Nicole. Ted decided to give her another option. He wanted her to work for him since Kat was on leave. Eva didn’t think Kat would train her for the position. She didn’t understand how he could trust her.

Dani woke up to Andre kissing her. He figured that she had trouble sleeping because she was worried about Bill. Andre admired the way she cared about Bill after the way he treated her. He felt like she had a big heart. Dani told him that bonding with everyone almost made her forget that she hated Hayley. She wanted Andre, but Bill broke her when he left her. Dani wanted to heal her heart, but she didn’t know how to fix it. Vernon arrived at her place while she was there with Andre. Needless to say, Dani panicked. She rushed to find a place for him to hide. Vernon got a call from Jacob about Naomi so he left Dani’s place. Dani didn’t want her father to walk in on her in bed with someone. She let Andre know that she’s a mess. Andre didn’t agree with her. He saw more when he looked at her. If she would give him the word, he would make an honest woman out of her. Bill was tired of being in his hospital bed. He fell out of the bed when he tried to get his bluetooth. Hayley walked in the room and found him Ashley’s arms. She hoped he was getting rest. Chelsea followed Madison at the hospital. She introduced her to her followers. Chelsea called Madison beautiful. Madison liked the attention that Chelsea gave her. She felt like Chelsea was different. Chelsea wondered if that was a good thing or a bad one. Madison wasn’t sure yet. Later Madison ran tests on Bill and told him that he would make a full recovery. Bill felt like he wasn’t recovering fast enough. He didn’t like the idea of getting physical therapy. Bill wasn’t thrilled when he found out that Shanice was his physical therapist. He thanked Dani for checking on him. Hayley was surprised that she behaved herself. Chelsea thanked Madison for helping her father. Madison assured her that Shanice knew what she was doing and could handle her father. They flirted with each other before parting ways.

Anita was prepared to put an end to the reunion when Tracey and Sharon arrived. Tracey was determined to have her say with Anita. Anita didn’t see a point in talking. She wanted them to make the conversation quick. Tracey and Anita had their chances to talk so she thought it was her turn. She felt like their issues wouldn’t bring Barbara back. Barbara wouldn’t want them to keep fighting with each other. She wanted to know how they could move past it. Tracey wondered if there was a future for the group. Anita and Sharon didn’t think it was possible, but Tracey didn’t agree with them. She showed them pictures of their time together. Tracey wanted the ladies to remember the love they felt for each other. She wanted to put the past behind them and be with her sisters again. Tracey asked them if they could be friends again. Vernon didn’t tell anyone about his health. Cornelius’ ended up having a stroke. Naomi tried to make him feel better. After talking to Vernon, she headed to the hospital to see her father. She thanked Hayley for getting Bill to the hospital quickly. Bill was thankful that Naomi was there to see him. He promised to take his physical therapy seriously. Bill realized that it was time to update his will.

Eva said she had insurance to protect herself, and he wanted to know more about it. Kat talked her way into Eva’s hotel suite. She wanted to know what Eva was hiding. Hayley demanded to know what was wrong with Bill. He told her that he would come up with things wrong with him. She wanted him to be serious because she was scared. He assured her that he wasn’t going anywhere. Hayley wanted him to take care of himself. Chelsea and Naomi talked about her situation with women. Naomi wanted her to be happy. Joey and Vanessa talked about having sex on the poker table. Vanessa wasn’t happy when Joey told her that he was inviting her husband to the casino. Doug showed up at the casino. Bill tried to assure Hayley that he was okay. Tomas wondered what the leverage was that Eva had on Leslie. Eva just told him that she was going to be standing on business. They talked about a book that she had. She let him know that it was at her hotel room, and he could go if he wanted to read it. He agreed to go. Kat was searching Eva’s room. Jacob called her and wanted her to stop investigating. Kat found a box in Eva’s closet. Madison walked into Uptown while Chelsea and Naomi were talking. Chelsea called her out for not speaking to her. Bill wanted to make love to Hayley. He kissed her, but he had trouble talking. She called for an ambulance. Vanessa was upset when she found out that Doug was in debt with Joey. Joey told her that he wanted her business.

She let Ashley know what happened to Bill. Eva and Tomas went to her room so Kat had to hide under the bed. She noticed that her box was moved. Tomas tried to make excuses for why the box was moved. She hoped they could talk about it. Derek called Naomi to let her know that Bill was admitted into the hospital. Doug couldn’t take listening to Joey anymore so he walked out the room. Vanessa called Joey out for the way he treated her. She felt like he treated her like a one-night-stand. Tomas and Eva talked about Kat after she tried to kiss him. He let her know that he and Kat talk about a lot of things. Tomas felt like they had something special. He wanted to see what would happen with them. Eva wanted to be friends with him. He was about to leave, and she told him not to mention the insurance she had on her mother. Kat found the helmet and gloves in Eva’s room. She took them out of Eva’s room. Reliving Barbara’s suicide made Anita convinced not to do the reunion. Vernon thought she wanted to do it deep down inside. He felt like she should do it even if there’s a small part of her that wanted to do it. She told him that she left the group right after Barbara’s suicide. They were supposed to take a break from the group but that’s when Anita decided to go solo. She made her break permanent. Sharon was upset when Tracey told her that Anita didn’t want to do the reunion anymore. Sharon didn’t want to take that decision without confronting Anita. They decided to go to Anita’s house for answers. Laura went to the office and got a surprise. Nicole, Kat, and Mona surprised her with a party. The ladies talked about Eva. Kat felt like Eva worked with Leslie to take Laura’s job from her. Nicole and Laura defended Eva. They didn’t think she was anything like her mother. Kat stressed that she had her own opinion about Eva. She thought her opinion was right. Ted and Eva bonded at Uptown. She told him about her job at the salon and that Samantha was one of her regular customers. Eva did miss working for Nicole. She enjoyed the job more than she thought she would. Ted understood how she felt since she got close to the family in a short amount of time. He took responsibility for his role in his affair. Ted was the one who was married and not Leslie. Eva took responsibility too. She couldn’t blame her mother for everything that went wrong in her life. Eva got a text so she left the table. She had an awkward encounter with Nicole. Nicole and Ted were alone and had an awkward conversation.

Sharon was ready to argue with Anita, but she wasn’t in the mood. She wanted Sharon to take her negativity somewhere else. Vernon decided to give them some time to talk. Tracey wanted the ladies to use their words and not their fists. Anita finally put the women in their place. She called them out for not leaving when Dante fired Barbara, but they didn’t. Anita reminded them how they were on the stage and took their bows as well as their checks. She wasn’t the only one who wanted to be successful. Anita refused to be the only villain. Sharon wanted to tell Anita that she was ready for the reunion, but she was too heated to hear it. Anita announced that the reunion was as dead as Barbara and nothing would work to get them back together. She kicked them out and cried on the couch. Leslie wondered where Eva hid her helmet and gloves when Jacob showed up at her place. He let her know that he had a warrant to search her place. She allowed him to search her place. Leslie flirted with him while he tried to investigate her place. Turning up empty-handed, Jacob left her apartment. He promised that he would get her eventually. After Jacob left, she made a promise to make Jacob and the police department pay for harassing her. Kat met with Jacob after he left Leslie’s place. She thought that Eva had the evidence for Leslie. He wanted her to give it a rest. Leslie went to see Ted at Uptown and interrupted his conversation with Nicole. She ordered him to stop the police from harassing her if he didn’t want any trouble.

Naomi surprised Anita by giving her something from the Articulettes concerts. It didn’t go over as well as she hoped. Anita told her that looking back could make you sad. Naomi wanted to catch up with her during lunch, but Anita had other plans. Anita felt like she earned the sadness that she felt. After Naomi left, Anita took out a letter from her desk. It was a letter from the fourth Articulette. She ripped into Anita for stealing the group from her. Barbara told her that her voice was classless and ghetto despite starting the group. Anita didn’t need to read the letter because she had it memorized. Hayley was tired of Dani accusing her of lying about her pregnancy so she arrived at her house with a pregnancy test. She told Dani that she’s having a  Hamilton regardless of the gender. Dani wasn’t convinced that she was pregnant with Bill’s baby. She demanded that Hayley take another pregnancy test, but she refused to do it. They didn’t agree to a solution to the problem. Kat and Chelsea were celebrating their first shipment being on time at Orphey Gene. Their celebration was cut short when Leslie arrived. Leslie confronted Kat. She threatened to sue Kat for defamation of character. After the announcement, Leslie threatened Kat. She let her know that people underestimated her and warned her that they never saw her coming until it was too late. Leslie warned her to keep her eyes open.

Bill wanted Tomas to spy on the Duprees and tell him about any information that would be useful to him. He didn’t care if it was about Chelsea, Naomi, Dani or Leslie. Tomas wasn’t happy about the assignment he gave him since his relationship with Kat was on shaky ground. He ended up agreeing to take on the assignment. Kat showed up looking for legal advice. Bill allowed him to go to lunch with Kat. He reminded him about the assignment. While they were at lunch, Tomas got information from Kat about the family. He told him that he wouldn’t take on Kat’s case against Leslie with the little evidence that she had. Naomi showed up at the law firm. Bill and Hayley told her about the news. Naomi handled it a little better than Dani. She felt like the baby was insurance to guarantee that Hayley got child support or a trust fund. Hayley thought the baby would bring the family together. Her comment made Naomi upset. Hayley and Naomi stopped arguing when Bill started slurring his words. Bill told them that he was fine, but Hayley and Naomi didn’t believe him. They realized that he lied to them about his hand problems. His words continued to slur. Derek and Ashley arrived at Orphey Gene and saw Leslie there. Ashley ripped into her about what she did. She informed Leslie that the hospital changed protocol after she attacked Laura. She would never be allowed in Laura’s room again. Andre went to see Dani. She wasn’t looking for sex. Dani wanted to talk to him about Hayley’s pregnancy. She talked about couples bonding when they find out that they are having a baby. The conversation made her think about her time with Bill. Andre was ready to leave after hearing about Bill. He felt like she should spend more time focusing on the man in front of her. Andre told her that he was someone who actually cared about her. He informed her that was changing into someone who wanted more than a fling. Andre didn’t want to break up with Dani. She might not be his future, but he wanted to enjoy the present. Dani told him that she wasn’t ready to think about the future, and he wasn’t waiting for her. She felt like they were friends with benefits with hearts that belong to people who don’t want them. Barbara blamed Anita for why she left the world for a better place. Anita cried into her hands and thought about the loss of Barbara.

Dani had an awkward introduction with Adam. Pamela let her know that he was a jeweler that wanted to meet her. Kat talked to Mona about what happened when she saw her father with Leslie. Andre went to see Ted. Ted thought he was “Dana.” He told him about what happened with Leslie showed up there. Ted talked to him about Kat being there and seeing him with Leslie. Andre informed him that Kat had evidence that Leslie attacked Laura. Leslie had the helmet and gloves she was wearing the night she ran Laura off the road. Eva walked in and saw her hiding it. She walked out and called out to her. Leslie hid the bag. Eva said she was there to get the rest of her stuff. Leslie had her stuff ready for her. She let her know about her run in with Kat. Kat and Mona continued to talk about Leslie. Nicole walked in the room and wanted to know what they were talking about. Andre let Ted know that there wasn’t any definitive proof that Leslie was the nurse at the hospital. Tracey showed up at Anita and Vernon’s place. Anita thought Sharon wasn’t coming, but Tracey told her that she was at the hotel. She wanted Sharon to eat with them at their place, but Tracey thought it would be better if she weren’t there. Tracey would smooth things over for her. Ted talked to Andre about the way the Duprees treat you when you get out of their inner circle. Sharon met Tracey at Orphey Gene. She made snide remarks about Anita. Tracey wanted her to stop talking about her. She let her know that Anita and Vernon wanted to see her. Sharon planned to go off when she saw Anita. Pamela tried to give Dani a reality check about meeting people. Dani blew Adam off so Pamela gave her a piece of her mind about her moving on with her life. She let it slip that she was seeing someone so she didn’t want to go out with Adam.

Ted wanted to know about any woman in Andre’s life that he remembered. He pushed him until he mentioned that he was seeing Dani. Ted was shocked that they were together. Pamela thought that Dani’s relationship with Andre wasn’t serious. Dani didn’t want Nicole to find out about her relationship with Andre. Kat told Nicole and Mona about the jacket being tied to the person who ran Laura off the road. They realized that Leslie got rid of the jacket. Kat put it together that Leslie was using an alias during the accident. She thought they had enough evidence to prove that Leslie ran Laura off the road. Leslie told Eva to get her things and leave. Eva begged her not to be like that. Leslie reminded her that it was just the two of them, but she threw her to the wolves. Eva told her that the plan was for her to get to know her mother all along. She said that she missed her. Leslie said that she walked out, but she corrected her. She didn’t want Eva in her hair. Eva wanted to keep her key, but she told her to knock if she wanted to visit. Leslie wanted her to take her things and leave. Tracey tried to reach Sharon to convince her to change her mind about Anita. Sharon didn’t want to put an end to her anger. She felt like Anita was an actress. Tracey told her that Anita had the same hole in her heart that they did. Sharon couldn’t believe what Anita did to them. Tracey thought things might be better if they were all together again. Dani didn’t want Pamela to tell anyone that she was with Andre. Pamela warned her that Andre might tell people about their affair. Andre talked to Ted about what was happening with Dani. He didn’t like that she wanted to keep their relationship a secret. Kat and Mona felt like they needed more evidence to prove that Leslie ran Laura off the road. Leslie overheard them talking about her. Eva used her spare key to get back into her mother’s place. She went into the closet and found the bag Leslie hid.

Vernon arrived at home to hear Anita and Tracey arguing. Anita told Tracey that she couldn’t change what happened. She could only own her ambition and what she sacrificed to make her goals happen. Tracey reminded her that she didn’t really sacrifice much. Anita told her that she didn’t have any idea what she went through to get what she wanted. Tracey felt like she would come up with stories to hide from the truth. Anita wanted to put an end to the charade. She thanked Tracey for coming and wanted to pay for her to get back home. Anita apologized for suggesting they reunite. Tracey let her know that she wasn’t opposed to the reunion. She wanted to stop dancing around what happened between them. Tracey wanted to get everything out between them. Anita apologized to her for not thinking about what would happen to the group when she went solo. Tracey said they could reunite as long as Sharon was onboard with it. Anita told her that Sharon hung up the phone when she tried to call her. Tracey didn’t think Sharon would reject her call. After Tracey left, Anita admitted to Vernon that she wasn’t completely wrong about her. Anita wasn’t always sweet when they were together. She was selfish and ruthless back in the day. Tomas saw Kat at Uptown with Chelsea. He reminded her that he took the time to get to know her situation with Eva, but she never got to know him. Tomas told her about himself. She was surprised to hear about his life and thought she should have known what he told her. He was ready to tell her about himself, but that didn’t mean she was ready to hear him out about Eva. Kat didn’t think that would change her mind about Eva. She felt entitled to have bad feelings about Eva without getting judged for it. Kat promised to get to know him better. After they talked about it, things got better for them. They kissed each other.

Hayley let Bill know how she felt about being the second wife. She felt like she was getting shortchanged by having the small wedding and short honeymoon. The community treats her like she doesn’t measure up. Bill told her to have a drink, but she couldn’t do it. Hayley announced that she’s pregnant. He was shocked by the news at first, but he was excited about it. Chelsea arrived and heard that Hayley was pregnant. Hayley thought the pregnancy was a good thing, but Chelsea didn’t agree with her. Chelsea warned her that the community would shun her and her baby for life. Hayley was hurt by what she said, but she put Chelsea on notice. She let her know that the baby proved that her relationship with Bill wasn’t a fluke. They were going to be together for life. She wanted Chelsea to accept it. Smitty and Martin were at Orphey Gene’s, and he wanted to know about his involvement with Bill. He wished he made Martin as happy as he made him. Smitty told him they could get through anything together. He told him that he knew Bill summoned him. Smitty wanted to know if Bill knew something that he didn’t. Martin brushed off his concerns. He told him that Bill was a snake who played mind games. Smitty admitted that he was jealous that Bill knew something about him that he didn’t know.

Tracey noticed how nice Anita’s piano looked compared to the one they used when they were a group. She thought Anita won the lottery with her life. Smitty wanted to talk to Martin, but he had to deal with meetings. Vernon showed up while they were talking. He felt like he was interrupting them. Anita explained to Tracey that she was blessed, but she didn’t win the lottery. She worked hard for what she got. Anita didn’t like what Tracey was implying. Tracey didn’t seem to believe that she worked hard to get what she had. Doug asked Shanice if he saw Vanessa. She let him know that she didn’t see her. He thought she would be there to celebrate him getting the cast off his hand. Vanessa and Joey were at Orphey Jean. They were enjoying the conversation they were having about the property he wanted. Leslie let Ted know that she wasn’t trying to seduce him. He called her out for the way she treated Eva. She referred to her as her pride and joy. She felt like Anita went running when Dante wanted her to have a solo career. Tracey wanted her to admit it. Vanessa arrived at the hospital and ran into Ted. She called him out for what he did to Nicole. Vanessa wished she was at the party so she could have put him in his place. Ted told her to tell him what she wanted to say. She couldn’t believe what he did to Nicole. Vanessa reminded him of what Nicole did for him. Ted wanted to take everything he did back. He didn’t need to be reminded about what Nicole did for him because he saw it. Ted told her that he would never forgive himself for what he did to Nicole.
