Brooke: Beth stayed home from day camp?
Hope: Yes. A few of the kids, uh, got the flu and I think she might have it too.
Brooke: Oh, no. Poor thing. Does she have a fever?
Hope: And she’s achy, so I’m keeping a very close eye on her.
Brooke: Can I go see her?
Hope: Could it wait until a little later? She just drifted off right before you got here and she didn’t sleep well last night so I just…
Brooke: You didn’t sleep well either, did you?
Hope: No. You know how it is when your child is sick. You just wanna be right there for them.
Brooke: Yes, I remember it well.
Hope: So, mom, what is the reason you came to see me?
Brooke: Uh, we didn’t really get to finish our conversation yesterday. You had to run out. And I couldn’t believe some of the things that you were confiding in me. You have feelings for finn?
Hope: I… I just think he is one of the most amazing men that I have ever met, that’s all.
Brooke: Honey, he is also steffy’s husband.
Hope: I know that, mom. I am well aware. I just– I don’t think she appreciates him in the way that he deserves to be appreciated. And honestly, I don’t think he is that happy with steffy.
Steffy: What did I just walk in on? Answer me, hope.
Finn: Hey, you. I have a free morning. I’d love to spend it with my beautiful sexy wife.
Steffy: Well, I’d love that too, but duty calls, I’m afraid.
Finn: Hm. You have to go to the office?
Steffy: Yeah, yeah, I have, um, back to back meetings.
Finn: Hm.
Steffy: Tonight.
Finn: Tonight.
Steffy: Look, there is something I do wanna talk about quickly.
Finn: Okay, what’s that?
Steffy: I wanna clarify our discussion yesterday. About hope.
Carter: Okay, I’ll get the revised budget figures for you and steffy right away.
Ridge: What about hope for the future? Any news on that?
Carter: No, there’s still time for a turnaround.
Ridge: All right, is hope in? I’d love to talk to her about it.
Carter: I haven’t seen her, but if and when I do, I’ll let her know you’re looking for her.
Ridge: Thank you.
Carter: You know, you’re pretty fired up today, ridge. Juggling different things. I gotta say, you’re not acting like a guy who wants to concentrate more on designing. Having second thoughts?
Ridge: No, no, my plan is still my plan. With a very particular caveat.
Carter: This caveat you mentioned?
Ridge: I still wanna step away from the administrative stuff and do more of design, but I don’t want all that to land on steffy.
Carter: Okay, in the meantime, if you need me to step up.
Ridge: You’ve got enough to do already. Somebody different.
Carter: Okay, so are you gonna bring in someone new to work with you and steffy?
Ridge: Not new. Someone who’s been with this company almost as long as I have.
Carter: Brooke?
Ridge: Is there anyone better?
Carter: Brooke’s a great choice. Have you run it by her?
Ridge: Yeah. And she turned me down.
Carter: Hm.
Steffy: I really don’t wanna keep having this conversation. You know where I stand when it comes to hope.
Finn: Yeah, I do. And I respect your feelings.
Steffy: I know that. And you’re a giving, generous, trusting guy.
Finn: You think she’s manipulating me?
Steffy: I mean, she’s used men in the past. Thomas. Liam.
Finn: And now me.
Steffy: All I’m saying is hope is really confused right now.
Finn: Hm.
Steffy: So, the less time you spend with hope, the better.
Finn: Okay.
Steffy: Love you.
Finn: I love you too.
Brooke: Finn is steffy’s husband. You can’t be talking or feeling this way.
Hope: How can I help it? I mean, he’s brought so much into my life. We relate on this whole other level. He’s easy to talk to and…
Brooke: Well, that’s good. That’s wonderful. That you have somebody you can confide in. A friend that you can open up to. But that’s all it is, honey. You can’t knowingly go after steffy’s husband.
Hope: And I would never do that, nor would I want to, because I’m not a homewrecker.
Brooke: Good. I hope you wouldn’t because there are children involved. And it just feels like this could get out of hand without you even intending to. And I don’t want that to happen to you, sweetheart. Okay? Now, I gotta run, because ridge wants to talk to me for some reason. So, I’m gonna go. But just be careful. Don’t let your heart rule your head, okay?
Hope: Okay. I’m gonna come back and check on beth later.
Beth: Mama. I feel worse.
Hope: Oh, my sweetie.
Beth: I’m more achy and super hot.
Hope: Oh, honey. I think it’s time we go to the doctor.
Beth: I don’t feel good enough to go.
Hope: Come here.
The power of a skin filler
Hope: Here you go, honey. Just relax. Oh, sweetie, you’re shivering.
Beth: I’m achy, too.
Hope: I know, honey. I’m sorry.
Beth: What’s wrong with me?
Hope: Well, I think you might have the flu. You– hi. Yes. Yes. Okay. So, no availability until tomorrow. Okay. All right. Yes. Thank you. So, the doctor can’t see you until tomorrow. But don’t worry. Mommy has an idea. Hi, finn. Yes, it’s– it’s me. I was actually hoping to get some of your advice.
Finn: What’s, uh, what’s up?
Hope: Well, it’s beth. Uh, she has a fever, chills, she’s achy, and the doctor can’t see her until tomorrow and I’m a little worried.
Finn: Um, are you– are you alone?
Hope: Yes, my mom was here a little earlier, but I don’t know, do you think it can wait? Or should I go to urgent care?
Finn: No, no, no, look, don’t– don’t worry about it. I’ll, um, I can come over.
Hope: Finn, you don’t have to do that.
Finn: No, it’s– it’s fine. I insist. I’ll leave right now. Won’t be long.
Hope: Thank you.
Finn: Okay.
Hope: All right, sweetie, you don’t have to worry. Finn is on his way.
Carter: Perfect.
Ridge: I mean this is good. We can do better on this one. Thank you. All right. I guess I put the cart before the horse a little that time.
Carter: That’s exactly what you did. Instead of going to steffy first and floating the idea of brooke coming on board, you just–
Ridge: All right.
Carter: Yeah. Well?
Ridge: Well, what? Well, the truth is, I knew steffy was gonna have a problem with brooke doing this, so I thought I’d ask her first. If she agreed, I figured they would just, you know, they’d work through it and do what’s best for the company. Hey, how are you? We were just talking about you.
Brooke: All good things, I hope.
Ridge: Of course.
Carter: Yeah, ridge was telling me how you nixed his offer to take on more slack so he can do his thing with couture.
Brooke: Oh, yes, I’m afraid so. Although, I hope he doesn’t feel like I deserted him in his time of need.
Ridge: No, he doesn’t feel that at all. And he also thinks that, um, he has not given up completely on you.
Brooke: Oh, ridge.
Ridge: Mm-hmm.
Steffy: Hello, everyone. Brooke, what are you doing here?
Finn: Hey, beth. How you doing? How you feeling?
Beth: Not so good.
Finn: Not so good? You have, um, you have some chills, some body aches. Yeah? Can I– can I touch your forehead? Let’s see here. Oh, yeah, you are– you are burning up. Definitely sounds like the flu.
Beth: That’s what mommy says.
Finn: Did she? Well, your mom is a smart lady. But, look, I brought over some medicine that’ll get you feeling better in no time. Does that sound good? Okay, good.
I thought I was sleeping ok…
Finn: There, see, warrior. You’re very brave, beth.
Beth: Didn’t hurt even a little.
Finn: Hey.
Hope: Yeah, I told you dr. Finn knows what he’s doing. So, uh, do you think it will help?
Finn: Yeah, I mean, it’s not always the remedy, but in her case, I think the vitamins and the mild steroid will lessen the symptoms pretty quickly. But for you, the big question is… which one of these?
Beth: Hm… that one.
Finn: This one right here? Good call. That’s my favorite, too. But you need to do me a favor, okay, beth? I need you to drink plenty of water and the juice that your mom has been giving you. Let’s put this right here. And take your medicine and get plenty of rest, okay? I need you to rest your body.
Beth: I will.
Finn: Okay, good. You do your part and I’ll do my part, and we’ll have you back to your old self in no time.
Hope: There you go, sweetie.
Ridge: I asked brooke to join me here.
Brooke: Only he still hasn’t told me why.
Carter: Does this have to do with what we were just talking about?
Sheila: Which was what, exactly?
Ridge: This is about the impact that brooke has had on forrester creations. We need to try to capitalize on that again.
Brooke: What do you mean?
Steffy: Capitalize how?
Ridge: Well, the bedroom line. We need to highlight brooke the way that we used to when we first started it, right? You– you need to create a buzz that no one else can.
Steffy: Okay, highlight how? What are you suggesting?
Ridge: Photo shoots. Do– do a campaign with you front and center.
Brooke: Uh, uh, ridge, I don’t know about this.
Ridge: Well, I know about it. More than that, I know what we need to get to. We need to get back to this.
Brooke: So that’s what you’ve been thinking about at work.
Ridge: Yeah, sometimes. A lot. But it’s about you. You like being in front of the camera, right?
Brooke: Yes, but that was a long time ago. I’m a grandmother now.
Carter: You’re not like any grandmother I know.
Ridge: Easy, carter. Geez. But he’s right. You’re not like any grandmother anybody knows. Because you’re timeless, you’re ageless, you’re sexy and alluring and as provocative as you were the first day I met you. Maybe more so. So what do you think? It’s time. Step out of the shadows, onto the runway, in front of the cameras, and give the people what they want. Make the bedroom line yours again.
Hope: Looks like your fever’s starting to go down.
Finn: You feeling better, kiddo?
Beth: Uh-huh. I’m not as shaky and achy.
Finn: Okay, well that’s awesome. That means you are on the road to recovery.
Hope: Why don’t you drink a little more juice, okay?
Finn: Yeah. You’re a star patient. Just keep it up, okay?
Beth: I will.
Finn: You promise? Pinky promise? Okay, good.
Hope: You know what? I think it might be time for bed again so you can get some rest.
Finn: Hm, good idea, mom. Want me to airlift you there?
Beth: Yes, please.
Finn: Yes? All right. Come on. Let’s get you back into bed.
Beth: Thank you, dr. Finn. You’re the best.
Finn: Oh. No problem. Anytime. ()
Ridge: Hey. You said you wanted to be more involved in the company. This is a perfect way to do it.
Brooke: I do. But I’m too old.
Ridge: You got to– stop saying that. It’s ridiculous. You’re very lucky there’s people in this room or I would show you how sexy I think you are. We need to shine some light on the bedroom line and you’re the one to do it.
Carter: Sounds like you’ve given this a lot of thought, ridge.
Ridge: I have. And not just this. I– I– I put together a whole retrospective of you and your best moments here at forrester. You wanna see it?
Brooke: Yeah.
Ridge: Can you get the lights, please?
[ Crowd cheering ]
Ridge: Magic. That’s what you bring to the bedroom line. Carter, can you get the lights, please? See, people can’t take their eyes off of you. I can’t take my eyes off of you. You’re just hitting your stride. You have so much more to give to forrester, to the fashion world. So, what do you say?
Brooke: I still have a lot of questions about how this will work. But, yes. I will do it.
Ridge: Yes?
Brooke: Yes.
Ridge: I’m so happy. Thank you.
Brooke: Yes. Thank you.
Hope: Oh, I’m gonna just check on beth again real fast, but, um, thank you again for coming.
Finn: Oh, yes. Um, my pleasure.
Hope: Tea, on the house.
Steffy: Brooke, isn’t there somewhere you need to be?
Brooke: Are you trying to get rid of me?
Steffy: No. No, it’s just my father and carter, they had another meeting, so I assumed that you’D…
Brooke: So I guess I should be on my way as well. Look, steffy, I know you’re not thrilled about your father’s idea of rebooting the bedroom line.
Steffy: Honestly, no, but I am a professional and I will make the best decisions for this company.
Brooke: And threatening to kill hope for the future wasn’t one of them.
Steffy: Look, I am more concerned about hope than her line. Specifically, her spending so much time with my husband.
Finn: How’s the patient?
Hope: Sleeping peacefully, thank goodness. And I took her temperature and her fever is definitely starting to go down.
Finn: Good. When she wakes up, she’ll be back to her old self.
Hope: Yeah, I have to admit, I was starting to get worried. Just how bad she was feeling.
Finn: That’s why the doctor came over.
Hope: Thank you. I know I keep thanking you a lot, but just seeing you with beth and how much better you made her feel and how much better you made her mother feel, it just– it’s just a reminder of what an incredible man you are.
