Hope: Don’t be, mom.
Brooke: You said that you want nothing to do with thomas and that you remember the things that he’s done in the past.
Hope: Of course, I do. I could never forget that.
Brooke: Okay. Well, something keeps echoing in my head. You also said that thomas isn’t the issue. You are. So what does that mean? Please tell me. Are you or are you not attracted to thomas?
Taylor: I just can’t believe that hope would say those derogatory things about you.
Thomas: Okay. Well, she didn’t mean it, right? And she already explained why.
Taylor: Mm-hmm. Okay. Well, um, just to clarify, everything has been good with you and hope, right?
Thomas: Yeah, they were. I mean, they are.
Hope: Okay. So, explain to me one more time, what was the point of hope attacking your character?
Thomas: I think it honestly was just to placate her mother.
[ Liam laughing ]
Liam: Your throne, my lady.
Kelly: I’m so happy you’re here, daddy.
Liam: Yeah, me too. Thank you for, uh, letting me crash your girl’s night.
Steffy: Hayes went down already and finn’s working another late night shift. So kelly thought, “why not have daddy come over for a nice late night cookie?”
Liam: A cookie? I get one? That’s what I’m worth to you? Do you hear this? Unreal, this woman.
Kelly: We need to save some for the man in the moon.
Liam: That’s exactly what I was thinking. We save some for the man in the moon. What do you say you, me, and mommy, go outside in a second a6e yell at him. We’ll just yell at him. We’ll just ask him if he wants to– “hey, you want a cookie?” Like that.
Kelly: Like howl?
Liam: We could howl.
Steffy: Yeah.
Liam: Do you know that I’m a championship howler? Do you wanna– you wanna practice right now? Let’s go right now. Three, two, one.
[ Liam and kelly howling ] You want a cookie?
Kelly: You’re so funny, daddy.
[ All laughing ]
[ Liam howling and coughing ]
Kelly: You sound funny, daddy.
Liam: Funny, yes, but do you like my howling?
Kelly: Now you do it, mommy.
[ Steffy howling ]
Liam: She’s really good. I think man in the moon’s gonna hear us tonight.
Kelly: Maybe we can read him a story too.
Liam: Ah, yes.
Steffy: It’s a great idea.
Liam: Is this like maybe the best night ever?
Kelly: Yeah. It’s so fun when we’re together as a family.
Liam: Yeah, it is.
Thomas: Okay. There’s no reason to get upset.
Taylor: Well, thomas, I was– I was talking to brooke earlier, she didn’t mention this at all. So there’s some–
Thomas: Well, hold on a second though. It– it makes sense that brooke would still have reservations about me.
Taylor: Fine. Okay. That’s fine. But what is she so suspicious about?
Thomas: I’m guessing she just thinks I’m gonna get involved somehow and come in between hope and liam’s marriage, but that’s not gonna happen. I– I would never do that and nothing is coming in between hope and liam.
Brooke: You said that you were having feelings.
Hope: Well… yeah, I meant that in that sometimes I find myself having doubts and uncertainty and I feel really, really bad about that.
Brooke: Regarding thomas?
Hope: Yes. Mom, it’s– he has been a professional. He’s been nothing but a gentleman and I just– I hate that and I don’t want anything to undermine all that progress that he’s made.
Brooke: Well, I don’t want that either.
Hope: Okay. Good. So then believe me when I tell you that he has changed, okay? He actually is quite a remarkable man in many ways. Diabetes can serve up a lot of questions,
Liam: Hey, you know, we’re always gonna be a family, right, kel?
Steffy: Yeah. Whether your dad and I are together or not.
Kelly: I know, but I like when we do things at the same time.
Steffy: We like that too.
Liam: Yeah. ‘Cause we have a blast, don’t we?
Steffy: Yeah.
Liam: We’re so proud of you. We really are. We’re proud of how kind you are, how loving you are.
Steffy: How dedicated you are and patient. You are the best role model to your siblings.
Liam: Do you know what beth’s first word was when she was a little baby? ‘Cause it wasn’t dada. It wasn’t even mama. It was keh-wee.
Steffy: Oh, yes, our little keh-wee.
Kelly: I’m not little anymore, mom.
Steffy: Oh, yes. I– I forgot. You are a big girl. But you’ll still always be my baby.
Liam: And you’re always gonna be my baby too. Speaking of, let’s do jammies
Kelly: And then we can go howl at the man in the moon? Tell him sleep tight?
Liam: This is a perfect plan, I think. Let’s do it.
Steffy: All right.
Liam: Come with me. Good night, mom.
Taylor: I’m gonna give brooke the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe she is picking up on a vibe that I’m not seeing.
Thomas: I don’t know. But I can tell you that any feelings I have for hope are purely platonic.
Taylor: No, honey. I– I believe you. I’ve seen it. I’ve– I’ve seen how you’ve created healthy boundaries and a– and a very professional work environment.
Thomas: I– I– I feel like I have and I think that she’s expressed that to me, you know? And– and– and I haven’t done anything to make her feel uncomfortable.
Taylor: So what would brooke have to be concerned about?
Hope: You’ve gotta drop this. Please, mom. Okay? You have nothing to worry about. I have everything under control.
Brooke: What does that even mean?
Hope: It means that I love liam. I love my family. I love our marriage and I wouldn’t allow anything or anyone to get in between that.
Brooke: Okay. Of course, you wouldn’t want that. And I wouldn’t want that either. I just wanna know you’re okay. That’s why I keep going on about this.
Hope: I am fine. I’m– I’m fine. Okay. I’m fine.
Brooke: There is still something I need to clarify.
Hope: Do I have feelings for thomas? Have my feelings for him changed? Yes, mom. Because he has changed. And that is why I felt so horrible about the things that he overheard. I mean, that really bothered him.
Brooke: Well, it seems like you smoothed that over.
Hope: Yeah. But he still didn’t deserve to hear any of that. I mean, he’s made so much progress. All the hard work he’s put into becoming a better person, a better father, a better partner for hope for the future. I just… I don’t want anything to ruin his success, okay? So can you please just not look for problems where there are none, mom? I get that you love me. I get that you’re worried about me, but you don’t need to be.
Brooke: Because you have everything under control.
Hope: Yes. Hi. I keep my home fresh with febreze fade defy plug.
Taylor: Hi.
Brooke: Hi.
Taylor: Do you have a minute?
Brooke: Uh, yeah. What’s up?
Taylor: Great question. I was, uh, wondering the same thing.
Brooke: About?
Taylor: Well, I was, uh, I was just in the design office talking to thomas and he told me about the conversation that he overheard between you and hope.
Brooke: Yes. Uh, I regret that he had to hear that. So does hope.
Taylor: Mm. Yeah. Can you imagine what that must have been like for thomas to hear those kinds of things from people that he thought were in his corner, just to find out that they’re not. Can you imagine how that made him feel?
Brooke: I’m sorry that thomas was hurt. Really, I am.
Taylor: Are you? Because thomas also told me that he talked to hope and she said that she only said those terrible things about him for your benefit. Why, brooke? We were just having a talk about thomas. We were talking about how he’s changed, how he’s really turned his life around and everything was so positive. So what am I missing? What are you not telling me?
Thomas: I don’t know. This– this whole thing is just not speaking to me.
Hope: What about it isn’t resonating?
Thomas: I don’t know. It’s just weird. It’s stale. It’s boring.
Hope: I get what you’re saying.
Thomas: Okay. So, I’m not crazy. Maybe you should take a stab at it ’cause I’m probably just overthinking it.
Hope: No. No. I– I don’t wanna– I just– I’m totally distracted anyway.
Thomas: What’s wrong?
Hope: I keep thinking about what happened earlier. What I said to my mother. I didn’t mean it.
Thomas: Right. It’s fine. Just forget it. I already have.
Hope: How are you like this?
Thomas: A lot of coffee. Not enough sleep.
Hope: No, I just mean, I don’t know, optimistic, forgiving.
Thomas: After everything I’ve done and– and how much forgiveness and grace you’ve shown me, how could I not be forgiving?
Hope: See, this is what I’m talking about. This is the evolution. Your heart has softened and you’ve… you’ve let the light in. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
Liam: Well, that was fun.
Steffy: Yeah. We actually howled at the moon.
[ Both laughing ]
Liam: At the request of our wolf cub daughter.
Steffy: It’s kinda cathartic.
Liam: Yeah. It really was. Glad we didn’t wake up hayes. Kelly’s got some pipes on her.
Steffy: I know.
Liam: Geez.
Steffy: She is adorable. You see that big smile on her little face. She’s so cute.
Liam: And then tucking her in when she was like– like we had to have equal kisses.
Steffy: Mm-hmm. Five for me, five for daddy.
Liam: I don’t wanna upset you, but I got six.
[ Steffy laughing ]

Liam: Yeah.
Steffy: Well, you deserve it. She loves having you here. She didn’t want the night to end.
Liam: I know. I know. She– she kept asking for the light to stay on.
Steffy: More water.
Liam: And then she needed another pillow. And then, she needed the noise machine. And then– [ Laughing ]
Steffy: High maintenance sleeper.
Liam: Yeah, I know. Where does she get that from?
Steffy: Very funny.
Liam: I’m hilarious. I’m the most hilarious.
Steffy: Mm-hmm.
Liam: I’ll tell you what, that kid just fills me up.
Steffy: She changed our lives forever.
Liam: I’ll never forget us just like seeing her for the first time.
Steffy: Say hi.

Liam: She’s so incredible.

Liam: I’ll tell you what I can’t wait for. When she’s old enough to understand like all of this, like how lucky she is to have this like, smart, successful mother, you know, that’s gonna love her forever.
Taylor: Just tell me what’s going on, please. I– I wanna get all of this out in the open.
Brooke: Yeah. I’m– I’m happy you came to me. I mean, we need to communicate. And we’ve grown too close to let our children tear us apart.
Taylor: I thought so.
Brooke: Uh, it’s– it’s never my intention to lie to you, taylor.
Taylor: It’s never your intent– how about just don’t lie? Just don’t lie to me. Ugh. I need to know how you feel about my son and I just– I just want you to be straight with me.
Brooke: Okay. Uh, all right. Yes, I will be honest, okay?
Taylor: Okay. That will be great.
Brooke: I’m not sure I’m quite there yet. I– I’m not a hundred percent comfortable with thomas and hope working together. I mean, I thought I was, but now…
Taylor: Now what? What?
Brooke: I don’t know. I– I wanna give thomas the benefit of the doubt. I really do, but I’m also worried about my daughter’s life with liam.
Taylor: Oh, my god, brooke. Thomas is not going to do anything to interfere with hope and liam’s marriage.
Thomas: Okay. Maybe– maybe we can get rid of the ruffles and– and add in some extra color. Maybe a little teal swooping through the design.
Hope: Maybe.
Thomas: You’re just not into it.
Hope: No, I just don’t–
Thomas: Ugh. I know. Ugh. But it’s not– it’s not all lost. Like, there’s potential here, so I can’t just scrap it. I just… maybe I just need to take it back to the drawing board.
Hope: Shoot.
Thomas: What’s up?
Hope: I didn’t realize how late it has gotten. I need to give liam a call.
Thomas: Oh.
Liam: I know. When does the tea party phase end?
[ Phone ringing ] Hey.
Hope: Hi.
Liam: So, I was just about to pick up the food on the way home. Donna said that she can watch the kids for the night, so that’s good. Gives us some extra time.
Hope: Um, well, actually a bit of a change of plans. I am not going to be able to make dinner.
Liam: Oh, no. Why?
Hope: Well, it’s just, um, thomas and I, we are still at the office and I need to work a little later.
Liam: You and thomas. Um, okay. That can’t wait until morning?
Hope: No, we are on a deadline.
Liam: Well, that– oh, that’s convenient for him ’cause you were on a deadline the other night and a couple of times last week and we–
Hope: Well, we are having some setbacks.
Liam: Yeah, I don’t– it’s not– it’s not the fact that you’re working late. It’s the– it’s okay. Um, I’ll just– whatever, do your thing and I’ll, uh, I’ll just– I’ll– I’ll talk to you when you get home. Bye. Well, that’s just awesome. Another late night with thomas. Another canceled dinner. Is it– am I– am I just being unreasonable or does it feel like hope doesn’t give a damn?
Steffy: Of course hope gives a damn.
Liam: Like I know– I know– I know that he’s your brother and you love him and I’m sorry if this offends you, but the fact that I can’t ever trust thomas is a problem. And I hear– I hear what everybody’s saying. That he’s, like, rehabilitated and he is this like, shiny new person, but I’m just, I’m sorry. Like, I’m not– I’m not convinced that he’ll never be up to his old tricks. It’s like– it’s like a curse. Like, I’m doomed to forever worry about thomas having feelings for my wife and I don’t know how hope doesn’t see that that’s like affecting everything?
Steffy: Why– why do you assume it’s thomas?
Liam: I know that you wanna see the good in him.
Steffy: Maybe he’s not the problem this time.
Liam: So, maybe I’m the problem? I mean, I get it, but I’m not–
Steffy: No. You got this all wrong.
Liam: I– okay.
Steffy: You keep acting like hope is some innocent victim, but the truth is, my brother has changed. He’s a different person.
Liam: Okay, but see, steffy, I don’t buy that because I’ve seen them together and I’m sorry, I can’t, like, put my finger on it, but it’s weird. Like, something is going on there. There’s a vibe. I– I can just sense it.
Steffy: Maybe thomas isn’t the problem. Maybe it’s hope. I’m sorry, liam. I don’t wanna hurt you, but I think your wife has feelings for thomas.
