Finn: Liam should be concerned about hope. What do you mean?
Steffy: I know you think I’m overreacting, but… I’ve seen some things, and then this trip comes up.
Finn: The meeting in san francisco is for hope for the future. It’s work-related.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. They almost got stuck there, overnight.
Finn: But that’s not thomas’s fault or hope’S.
Steffy: Finn, if they had to spend the night… I was concerned about what could happen.
Finn: But not because of your brother? So, you’re not worried about thomas? You’re worried about hope?
Steffy: Yeah.
Hope: Well, thank you. I didn’t realize how much I needed that.
Thomas: Yeah, just let me know if it starts bugging you again.
Hope: [ Clears throat ] Well, we’ll probably be landing soon, so we should get ready. Oh, sorry.
Thomas: There’s nothing to be sorry about.
Hope: I didn’t mean to do that. [ Clears throat ]

Thomas: Everything’s gonna be all right.
Finn: Liam shouldn’t be concerned about thomas, it’s hope he needs to worry about? I– what could possibly even make you think that?
Steffy: Okay, this has to be just between us.
Finn: Yeah, of course.
Steffy: Nobody can know.
Finn: Babe, who am I even gonna tell? I’m not exactly gossiping about the fashion industry in between patients.
Steffy: I– I get that. I just don’t want the wrong person finding out.
Finn: Honey, I– okay. I promise I’m not gonna tell a soul.
Steffy: Uh, I walked in on something. Hope and thomas. It was a– it was an intimate moment. Eye contact, touching.

Steffy: No, it was the other way around.
Finn: Wait, what?
Steffy: Yeah.
Finn: Hope was coming on to thomas?
Thomas: Look, hope, I know just how devoted you are to liam and your whole family.

Finn: So, you said touching?
Steffy: Yeah.
Finn: Okay, so, what does that mean exactly? Like, what did you witness between hope and thomas? Was– I mean, it was at the office. It couldn’t have been that bad. We’re not talking about something, like, completely inappropriate? Are we?
Steffy: They were fully clothed. But, yeah, it was inappropriate.
Finn: And they didn’t know you were there?
Steffy: Not at the time. I wasn’t eavesdropping or anything. I– I was walking back into the office when I overheard hope talking to thomas about how in sync they are. And how there was no limit to how far they could take hope for the future.
Finn: It seems pretty tame. I mean, maybe he was feeling down, he just needed a pep talk.
Steffy: No, no, there was– there was more to it, more to her. It was the way she looked at him, touching his hands. There was nothing tame about that. Gosh, hope was caressing my brother’s hands, gazing into his eyes and not in the way a coworker or a co-parent should. No, she was gazing with desire.
Finn: Desire? Steffy. Come on.
Steffy: It’s– it’s true. She wasn’t looking at him like a friend, that she, like, appreciated him. I know when a woman wants a man, finn.
Finn: Well, you think that hope wants– I just– I’m– I’m sorry, I can’t believe this. This is–
Steffy: I couldn’t believe it either. That’s why I had to confront her.
Finn: You confronted her?
Steffy: Yes, of course I did. My brother is doing so well. There is no way I’m letting hope screw this up for him.
Thomas: Hey, carter.
Carter: Hey.
Thomas: I didn’t realize anybody would still be here.
Carter: Yeah, just finishing up a few things. So, san francisco.
Thomas: Uh-huh.
Carter: Huge success, huh?
Thomas: Yeah, you know, hope crushed it per usual.
Carter: I can tell from all the orders pouring in.
Thomas: Really? That quick, huh?
Carter: Initial orders and the buyers indicated there’s more to come.
Thomas: You know, I love it when a plan comes together.
Carter: Yeah. Well, almost together. I heard about the little drama that happened after the meeting between you and hope.
Hope: Um, what’s all this?
Liam: Hey, one sec. Hi. Yeah, we’re, uh– we’re celebrating. Yeah.
Hope: Yeah. My, um– my successful meeting?
Liam: Yeah. Also selfishly, I’m glad you weren’t forced to spend the night in san francisco. You know?
Hope: Mm-hmm. Me too.
[ Liam laughing ]
Liam: Um, li– uh, listen, I– I get that you– you trust thomas. And– and I understand that at this point. It’s– it’s one thing for you guys to have to work long hours at the office. But, you know, being alone together in another city is just a bit much for me.
Hope: I know. No, no, no, I totally– I totally get that. But, you know, even if we did have to stay, he would have been in his hotel room. I would have been in mine, and– and we probably would’ve barely even seen each other.
Liam: Yeah. No, yeah. I mean, unless– I mean, I wouldn’t put it past him to, like, ask if you wanted to take a stroll or, like, see the city. Night out on the town. Something– it doesn’t matter because it didn’t happen and for that, I’m grateful. So, moving on.
Hope: Yeah, I am grateful for that, too.
Liam: Cool. Um, I guess maybe as a formality, I should ask, like, did he try anything?
Hope: No.
Liam: No. You promise? Great. Nothing. So, nothing. Nothing at all happened. Eggland’s best.
Thomas: Drama?
Carter: The plane. You and hope almost didn’t make it home.
Thomas: Oh, yeah, that was– that, yeah, was dramatic.
Carter: Yeah, hope must have been freaking out. I mean, you, you probably wouldn’t have minded an extended vacation but hope was probably desperate to get back to liam.
Thomas: Definitely.
Carter: That’s what we hope for, right? Liam’s crazy about her and hope, completely devoted to him.
Thomas: Yeah. She– she certainly is.
Finn: Please tell me you didn’t let things get out of hand?
Steffy: I was a protective sister. I didn’t go into attack mode… ish. She did a pretty good job convincing me that she doesn’t have feelings for– for thomas.
Finn: Okay, then, well, like, what’s the concern there?
Steffy: I said pretty good job. She may believe what she’s saying, but I’m not sure I do.
Finn: Oh, so are you suggesting that she doesn’t even realize that she’s flirting with thomas? Like, not consciously?
Steffy: I don’t know. I don’t know. Okay, let’s– let’s think about it. All these years, thomas has been fawning over hope. He just adored her for so long and just like that, it– it goes away. Maybe hope’s not used to it. Maybe– maybe it bruised her ego a bit. Thomas is in a good, healthy place. So, if she’s flirting with thomas, consciously or not, it’s awful. You just don’t flirt with someone who used to be obsessed with you.
Finn: I don’t disagree. It’s just– so, what did hope say for herself?
Steffy: She said that my imagination was running wild.
Finn: Well, it could be, right?
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, it could. So, I asked her point blank if she had feelings for thomas.
Finn: And?
Steffy: She said it’s ridiculous.
Finn: Okay, so was there any part of you that believes her? Like, could there be a world where hope is telling the truth?
Liam: So, that’s cool. Nothing happened, thomas didn’t try anything, huh?
Hope: Oh, well, I’ll tell you what did happen. We had a meeting with the buyers and they were super, super impressed.
Liam: Well, of course, they were. That’s fantastic news. I am so happy for you.
Hope: I mean, it really is. I don’t think it could have gone any better.
Liam: Well–
Hope: Actually, that is not true. I think it would have been much better if you were there. I–
Liam: Aw.
Hope: I really missed you.
Liam: Hmm. Wow.
Hope: Mm.
Liam: Where’s that coming from?
Hope: Oh, I just, you know, don’t want you to forget how much I love and appreciate you.
Liam: I love and appreciate you, too. Things are good. I mean, your line is coming back. No surprise there. The buyers loved your pitch. No surprise there. Shoot, the most stressful part of the trip was probably after.
Hope: After?
Liam: What happened after. The mechanical issues on the plane. ‘Cause, you know, nobody likes being stuck waiting for a flight, you know?
Hope: No, not at all.
Liam: Well, I’m sure it will come as a great shock to you that I’m really happy you didn’t have to spend the night in san francisco with thomas.
Hope: Mm. Yeah, me, too. When you have chronic kidney disease.
Thomas: You getting out of here finally?
Carter: Yeah, late dinner plans with katie. I can’t wait to tell her all the works we’ll have on our plate tomorrow thanks to your successful trip.
Thomas: Better than the alternative, though, right?
Carter: Yeah, that is for sure. Nice work today, thomas. You and hope, you proved it again.
Thomas: Proved what?
Carter: What an amazing team you are.
Steffy: I want to believe hope. I do. So, the last person that you’d think that she’d be attracted to is, like, a bad boy.
Finn: Well, not that thomas is. I mean, not anymore.
Steffy: No, I mean, he’s– he’s made changes. We all see that. Hope sees that. But I think– I think hope will always see thomas as the ultimate bad boy.
Finn: Like some hidden fantasy of hers? I mean, yeah, it’s not that unbelievable. And growing up with brooke logan as your mother… I mean, at least from the stories that you’ve told me, I mean, I can only imagine the example that was being set.
Steffy: That’s true. And I… I did tell hope that I thought she was turning into brooke.
Finn: [ Chuckles ] Really?
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. But honestly, I– I really don’t think hope is anything like brooke. She’s the complete opposite.
Finn: So, does that mean you’re gonna take her at her word? You’re gonna choose to believe that she doesn’t have feelings for thomas?
Steffy: Okay. I will try to lean toward believing hope, but I’m gonna be watching her. And if she crosses any lines with thomas, first off, that would be just awful if she did that to liaM. Secondly, that would undermine all the progress thomas has made. Everything is going so well in our family and I don’t want– I do not want hope to ruin that for us.
Hope: My principles
and my morals,

Liam: I mean, the whole thomas situation, you guys working late nights together and going on trips together now, it– it drives me nuts. That’s not a secret. I can admit that. What I don’t want is for it to affect our relationship. I don’t want it to– to drive a wedge in our marriage. And even if that did happen, that wouldn’t be on you. I– I trust you completely. It– it’s thomas that historically I have trust issues with.
Hope: Well, I don’t think you need to worry about thomas. He’s been professional and he knows how I feel about you and our family and this life that we’ve built together.
Liam: Yeah. I mean, even steffy said a lot of the same stuff.
Hope: Wait, um, so, you talked to steffy about this?
Liam: Yeah. I mean, she’s his sister. I figured if anyone would have some insight into his, uh, consciousness, it’d be her.
Hope: And what did she say?
Liam: Kinda just what you did. Like, that he’s– he’s not a threat to my marriage.
Hope: That’s it?
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: Okay.
Liam: Okay.
Hope: Okay.
[ Clears throat ]
Steffy: I saw you, hope.
Hope: Saw?
Steffy: What I didn’t know,
which I– I never would have
thought is that it would–
it would be you.
Hope: Me?
Steffy: You were looking
right in thomas’s eyes,
laying it on pretty thick.

Steffy: I know what I saw.
I will not
let you derail thomas.

or anyone else to set him back.
