Liam: Do you think maybe, uh,ut t with the forrester pilot again just to see, like, if you know, like there’s like an update or something.
Steffy: It hasn’t been that long since I spoke to him. He said he would get back to me once the repairs are done. And he said it’s– it doesn’t look like it’s gonna be fixed tonight, so.
Liam: Dude, it was supposed to be just like a quick trip. There and back, they go, they have the meeting and then they’re on a flight back to L.A.
Steffy: Okay, but who knew that the forrester jet would have mechanical problems?
Liam: I know. She was supposed to be home by now and now it looks like she’s gonna spend the night there with him?
Steffy: Okay, liam, I know it’s not ideal, but it’s not the end of the world.
Liam: If thomas behaves himself.
Steffy: There’s no reason to think he won’T.
Liam: I don’t know, could be a bit of a temptation. Your brother, my wife. Together, hundreds of miles away alone for the night. I don’t even like the fact that my mind is going there, but it’s going there and I have to admit it and I just, you know, like there’s a lot– there’s so many things I can forgive but not that, you know, never, never that.
Thomas: You are the most principled and– and moral person I’ve ever met. You’re nothing like your mother. You love your family. You always wanna be with liam and– and nothing is gonna come between you two.
Hope: Thank you. Thank you. Yeah.
Thomas: [ Laughs ] Here.
[ Chuckles ]
[ Heartbeat thumping ]
Liam: I should have seen this coming.
Steffy: No one could have predicted that the jet would break down.
Liam: Not the– not the jet breaking down, but I– I could have predicted that things like this would start to happen if hope brought thomas back to work on her line.
Steffy: What are you talking about?
Liam: There’s always gonna be business trips. There’s always gonna be these special, personal appearances that hope has to make to promote her line. I mean, it’s naive to think that thomas wouldn’t want to tag along every chance he gets.
Steffy: Whoa, liam. That’s not what happened. The buyers wanted to see thomas. He didn’t just horn in to be around hope.
Liam: That– I’m not saying that’s what happened this time. I’m saying– let’s say his obsession with hope kicks in again. Okay, this is– this is exactly the kind of opportunity that he could seize upon. They’re in san francisco.
Steffy: Okay, liam, I am telling you, thomas is not gonna be an issue when it comes to hope.
Liam: You really believe that?
Steffy: I really believe that.
Liam: So, I have– I have nothing to worry about? Nothing at all.
Steffy: Hope, tell me the truth. You have feelings for him.
[ Heart beating ]
[ Phone chiming ]
Hope: It’s trevor.
Thomas: Okay.
Hope: Hi. Hi. Any news?
Trevor: Yes. Good news. We were finally able to get all the mechanical issues fixed.
Hope: Okay. So, the jet’s all set to go?
Trevor: I’m sorry about the delay, but we are a go. And hope? Did you hear me? As soon as you get to the airport, we’ll be ready to go.
Hope: Yes. Okay. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thomas and I will be there soon. Special k is oven-toasted to crisp perfection
Steffy: Okay. Okay. I have tried to reassure you every way I know how about my brother, but I really don’t know what else I can say.
Liam: I know. I know. Hey, I do have a certain psychiatrist you would totally get along with because taylor had plenty to say about how thomas has changed and he’s not the same person. He’s been doing work on himself and that change is real and lasting and important.
Steffy: Yeah? Did my mom– did she sway you?
[ Blows raspberry ]
Liam: No, she didn’t sway me. But I do understand why she thinks I’m the one being unreasonable.
Steffy: Look, my mom respects you. And you’re right to feel the way that you do.
Liam: Listen, I get it. It’s like you, your mom, your dad, your whole family, even hope. I mean, like literally everybody thinks I just need to get over myself and accept that thomas has changed.
Steffy: Thomas is just trying to be his best self. New and improved thomas forrester. There’s no hint of him backsliding.
Liam: Mm-hmm.
Steffy: I don’t believe he’s gonna initiate anything.
Liam: Well, he better not because he’s already created a lot of friction in my marriage and I’m not gonna let anything come between us. Especially not him.
Hope: So, the jet’s ready to go. So, we should get ready to head to the airport.
Thomas: Sure. Um, do you wanna call liam? I’m sure he’ll be relieved knowing you’ll be home tonight.
Hope: Right, yeah. Of course.
[ Clears throat ]
[ Phone ringing ]
[ Phone beeps ]
Liam: Hey, you okay?
Hope: Yeah. Yeah. The pilot just called and they fixed the jet.
Liam: Are you flying home tonight?
Hope: Yep.
Liam: Good.
Hope: Good. I’m anxious to get home.
Liam: Yeah. No kidding. It’s– it’s been, what? Less than a day and it just feels like so much longer than that.
Hope: Well, I love you and I can’t wait to be in your arms again.
Liam: I like the sound of that. Um… I love you too. Uh… be safe and I’ll see you soon.
Steffy: They’re on their way back?
Liam: Yeah. So that’s– hey! Don’t have to have that in my head for the rest of the night. Hopefully, right?
Steffy: It’s great. I’m telling you, thomas is doing the work as a designer, as a co-parent, for douglas. Thomas isn’t the one you should be concerned about.
Steffy: He has his hat on straight.
Liam: I really wanna believe that.
Thomas: All right, I texted the front desk and cancelled that other room. Got everything?
Hope: I think so. You?
Thomas: Think so.
Hope: Good, I’m glad we were able to go home tonight.
Thomas: Home to your husband and family. Diabetes can serve up a lot of questions,
Finn: You– you relax. I already put the kids down. I whipped up a light dinner, the two of us and we can eat after you–
Steffy: Thank you.
Finn: Unwind.
Steffy: What did I do to deserve being married to such an incredible husband? Really?
Finn: I’m sure you’ll show your appreciation later.
Steffy: Oh, you best believe it.
Finn: So your text said you were at spencer publications?
Steffy: Yeah, I– I needed to talk to liam.
Finn: About eye on fashion?
Steffy: No, about um, hope and thomas. I was just… checking in on him about their business trip to san francisco.
Finn: Oh, yeah. Is liam doing any better with that? He didn’t seem too thrilled when it came up. Yeah, he was even less than thrilled when hope called and said that she wasn’t gonna make it back tonight.
Finn: What do you mean? There was something wrong with the jet. Some kind of like malfunction and they weren’t sure if they’re gonna be able to fix it and– anyways, it looked like hope and thomas were gonna spend the night in san francisco.
Finn: Wow. Wait. Oh, so, your brother and hope alone together overnight.
[ Chuckles ] I can only imagine how liam reacted to that.
[ Steffy sighs ] We all know he doesn’t trust your brother.
Steffy: Yeah, that’s putting it mildly. Liam can’t get past everything that thomas has done. He keeps thinking that thomas is going to revert to his old ways.
Finn: So, did they make it back to L.A. At least?
Steffy: Uh, yeah, they’re– the plane’s fixed and they’re on their way now.
Finn: Okay, good. So no harm, no foul, liam can relax.
Steffy: Yeah. Um, actually, there’s more.
Finn: Concerning liam and thomas?
Steffy? No. Concerning hope.
Wyatt: I mean, should we tell dad about the final numbers? What do you think he’s gonna say? You know, I know he said he liked the company and that he wanted us to pull the trigger and– and you know, lock it in and everything. It’s just, I don’t know. Are we moving too fast? I mean, are we not seeing something here? Are we overlooking anything that could be like a problem for the company later on? I’m just not– I don’t know. I’m freaking out here. Liam?
Liam: Yo.
Wyatt: Hey!
Liam: Hey.
Wyatt: I could use your feedback here. Is there something we’re overlooking that could come back and bite us in the butt later?
Liam: Um, yeah. I just, um– I don’t see anything. Really. Like– what are you doing?
Wyatt: This isn’t even the document I’m talking about right now! This is the page that we’re on. Can you please keep up? I’m gonna have to hold you down and force feed you red meat.
Liam: It’s kind of a funny joke.
Wyatt: Okay.
Liam: What– what do you, why are you getting all heavy?
Wyatt: What is it?
Liam: There’s not– what?
Wyatt: What is it? What’s got you distracted right now?
Liam: Well–
Wyatt: You can tell me because I’ll just give you some sage brotherly advice like I always do and then we can get back to our little $80 million acquisition, huh? What do you think about that? What? Is it hope and thomas again? Are they spending late nights at the office or something? This is getting really old–
Liam: They’re not at the office. They’re not even in town.
Wyatt: Wait, what?
Liam: Yeah, thomas and my wife are in san francisco together right now.
Trevor: Apologies again for the delay.
Hope: Oh, no, it’s totally okay, trevor. We understand.
Thomas: Yeah, these things happen sometimes. It’s nobody’s fault.
Hope: We’re just grateful that the issue’s been fixed and we can head home.
Trevor: Okay. Well, we’ll be in the air momentarily and I promise I will get you both home safely, asap. I can imagine you can’t wait to see your families, right?
Thomas: Yeah.
Hope: Thank you.
Thomas: Thanks. So…
Hope: So.
Thomas: Boss. Congratulations on a very, very successful trip. I mean, the buyers could not have been more impressed.
Hope: Well, I think there’s no denying what they said. Which is that we make a pretty impressive team. Partial response:
Wyatt: Well, look, all’s well, that ends well, right? The jet’s fixed. Hope will be back tonight, probably in time to put the kids to bed and you for that matter.
Liam: Yeah, well, here’s hoping.
Wyatt: Look, man, I know this is your worst nightmare here. Your wife being stranded in another city with the guy who’s literally been obsessing over her for several years.
Liam: Yeah. No, I know. But, well, thankfully, uh, he behaved himself and didn’t take advantage, so. Yay.
Wyatt: That’s good. You know, that for sure? I never know anything for sure, but… hope would have told me if he’d tried anything.
Wyatt: Well, I bet he was tempted though, right?
Liam: Yeah, his sister would beg to differ.
Wyatt: Steffy. What does she have to do with it?
Liam: Sorry, she was– she was here earlier and you know, obviously she’s team thomas all the way, you know.
Wyatt: Why? Because they’re family?
Liam: [ Laughs ] No. I mean, yeah, they’re family and that makes a difference. But no, she’s always been pretty, uh, I don’t know, she’s got a good read on thomas. She’s always objective. She– she doesn’t make excuses for his behavior. She calls him out. And so, it’s kind of different. Like when steffy says that he’s a changed man–
Wyatt: You’ve gotta believe her?
Liam: I was gonna say I feel even more alone. But…
Finn: You know, we don’t have to talk about hope or thomas or liam when we’re alone like this together. We get such little time to ourselves as it is. But I can see you’re still distracted. So, lay it on me. What is it? Something about hope you said?
Steffy: Actually, liam. Something he said.
Finn: What, when you two were together earlier?
Steffy: Yeah. He said if– if hope ever crossed the line with thomas, he wouldn’t be able to forgive her.
Finn: Okay. Yeah, well, I get where liam is coming from, but that’s not gonna be an issue, right? ‘Cause you trust your brother, he’s not gonna get fixated on hope again. So, this is all– wait, what is it? Babe? What aren’t you telling me? What is it?
Steffy: What I didn’t say to liam is that… it’s not thomas he should be concerned about. It’s hope.
Thomas: You okay?
Hope: Yeah, it’s just my neck. It’s seizing up. I think it’s from the stress of everything.
Thomas: Oh, yeah, I get that all the time. You’re feeling it up here, but it’s actually right here. Yeah. You feel that knot?
Hope: Yeah.
[ Heart beating ]
[ Speaker beeping ]
Trevor: We’ll be starting our descent soon. Please prepare for landing.
Thomas: Hey, you heard him. Soon, hope. You’ll be home soon.
