Kyle: I’d have to say walking into this place — I mean, a brand-new jazz venue tucked inside the athletic club. How cool is that? And your grandparents’ speech.
Summer: Really?
Kyle: Mm. What Victor said about people returning to Genoa City to raise their kids spoke to me.
Summer: I know what you mean.
Kyle: I’m so glad we moved home.
Summer: Yeah, Milan was amazing, but this is always gonna be home.
Kyle: Mm-hmm.
Jack: Would you care to dance?
Diane: I would.
Jack: Keep in mind, if we dance too close, people are gonna talk, especially those who don’t know we’re back together.
Diane: Well, then let’s give them something to talk about. [ Chuckles ]
Lauren: [ Sighs ] I never thought I would see the day.
Michael: Now, now, be nice.
Lauren: [ Chuckling ] Oh, this is me being nice, darling. You know, back when Diane resurrected herself, Jack was adamant. He said to me that he would never let her back into his life, that that door was shut tight.
Michael: Hurrah for second chances. And even ninth or tenth chances.
Lauren: [ Sighs ] I just hope he knows what he’s doing.
Michael: Jack’s a big boy. This ain’t their first time around, you know.
Lauren: Still, it’s Diane.
Michael: Alright. Personally, I think they look great together.
Lauren: Really?
Michael: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: Because if Phyllis walked in right now and saw them together, all hell would break loose. [ Sighs ]
Phyllis: Diane is probably planning on announcing their engagement tonight at the party, with full media coverage. I wouldn’t put it past her if she’s convinced Jack to get down on one knee. I mean, they had their heads together and —
Jeremy: We need to get that ring.
Phyllis: To wreck the moment.
Jeremy: And because it’s the perfect personal item to add to the final touch of the scene we’re setting.
Phyllis: I’m not sure it’s possible. I mean, Jack slipped that ring in his pocket.

Victor: Baby, it makes me very happy to see most of the family together, doesn’t it?

Victor: So, this is how I envisioned a wonderful evening, the Newmans together, celebrating. I love it.
Nikki: While Diane keeps digging her claws into Jack deeper and deeper.
Victor: Well, you know, he has always been afflicted with bad judgment when it comes to Diane Jenkins.
Nikki: It’s not too late to save him.

Summer: It’s me. It’s the nanny. Hey, Linda. Is Harrison okay? Oh, no.
Adam: Well, that fresh air felt nice.
Sharon: Oh, is that why we went for a stroll — fresh air? I thought it was to avoid seeing Sally and Nick.
Adam: Um, that was just a bonus, okay? And every time I try to be gracious around them, I just end up putting my foot in it.
Sharon: Well, you know, the situation makes everyone uncomfortable, but I think you’re handling yourself fine.
Adam: Ah, yes, with my friend here, a little help, Mr. Alcohol.
Sharon: Is it time for more bubbly?
Adam: [ Chuckles ] Mm. Uh, maybe something a little stronger. I have to deal with my sister tonight, too.
Ashley: It’s been so fun seeing people that I’ve lost track of over the years. She’s not one of them.

Victor: Do you know what I would enjoy? I would enjoy knowing where things stand with the sale of your company.
Tucker: Really? You want to talk business right here, right now?
Victoria: No, of course I don’t, and neither do you. But I’m starting to get the sense that you’re taunting me. So, why don’t you just give me something solid?
Tucker: I’m still weighing my options when it comes to McCall. Uh, although I do have a strong preference as to who I would like to see make the deal.
Chelsea: These are all preliminary ideas, but they’ve been flooding my brain for days, and I would love your input. Do you think they would work with the mental-health concept we’re developing?
Daniel: I think they all sound great. Pursue as many of them as you like.
Chelsea: Really?
Daniel: Mm-hmm.
Chelsea: Thanks.

Chelsea: Do you have any idea about timelines, next best steps?
Daniel: Well, that would be a question for Lily, who I’m here with tonight, but it seems as though she’s stepped away. The Newmans dedicated the lounge to Neil. They converted it into a jazz club.

Billy: Well, that’s great. That’s very fitting.
Daniel: Yeah. It is. Definitely worth checking out when you get a chance. But you know Lily. She got a little emotional, which is understandable. So, just wanted to give her some space.
Billy: Well, that’s nice. I’m glad she has someone in her life who is sensitive to her feelings. Do you like…

Summer: [ Exhales sharply ] Oh. Zippy is missing.
Kyle: Ah.
Summer: Not Harrison. Thank god.
Kyle: Where has she looked so far?
Summer: Um, Linda, Kyle wants to know where you’ve looked so far. Have you checked the media room? Oh, no, trust me. We know. Harrison cannot fall asleep without that fox. I — I can barely hear you. Hold on. I’m gonna go outside so that we can brainstorm. Hang on just one second.
Kyle: Sorry.
Victoria: So, tell me about, um, your preferred option. Or do I already know?
Tucker: Tell you about my preferred option. Oh. Uh, I’d like to sell to Devon. That hasn’t changed.
Victoria: Oh, I see. I guess we’ll just have to revisit that when he turns you down.
Tucker: You’re on.
Victoria: In the meantime, uh [Chuckles] What I’m really, really curious about is your role in this, Ashley. What is your angle?
Ashley: Why would I have to have an angle? I’m just here celebrating my hometown’s birthday, Victoria.
Victoria: I’m not sure which one of you is more deceptive, really.
Tucker: Oh, that’s so sweet, Victoria. Do you hear that? She’s — she’s compared me to you. What a lovely compliment.
Ashley: Yes.
Tucker: Gee, you seem low.
Ashley: Uh, mm-hmm.

Victor: What was that all about?
Elena: The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge.
Nate: Pretty fantastic, huh?
Elena: It is. That was really thoughtful of the Newmans.
Nate: Yeah, it was. Lily and Devon were so touched. You know, maybe this reminder of their dad will help things thaw a bit.
Elena: I’d like to think it’s possible.
Devon: [ Sighs ] Lily, I don’t know what’s left to say. I mean —
Lily: Devon, what do you mean? Jill canceled the IPO. That changes everything.
Devon: Right. And do you know that Victor Newman is the one who convinced her to do that?
Lily: No. I didn’t know that. She told me that a friend had helped her see a better solution. Did Jill tell you that?
Devon: Well, when I asked her, she made it pretty obvious. And then I saw them both with their heads together inside.
Lily: Okay, so, then you don’t know if it were Victor then?
Devon: I mean, it’s — it’s an educated guess.
Lily: Okay. Well, I-I wouldn’t be surprised if it were Victor. He cares about you. He always has, since you were a teenager. Look, Devon, everything that you were worried about is gone now. You were worried about losing control of the company. That’s gone. Even the people you were worried about — Nate, Audra, I mean, even Billy. They’re all gone. It’s just us. So, look, we can streamline operations, you know? I’ll back off and give you everything that you need to do to run your division how you want.
Devon: And you expect me to do the same thing for you?
Lily: Yeah. We can each run our own operations the way that we see fit. You know, we won’t have shareholders breathing over our shoulders. This can finally be the united family business that we’ve dreamed of… if you say yes.
[ Light laughter ]

Michael: They’re not keeping it a secret any longer. They are out in the open.
Lauren: Mm. I’m not even sure they’re aware that there’s anyone else in this room.
Michael: Hmm. Maybe we should challenge them to a dance-off.
Lauren: Uh, wha–
Michael: Follow me.
Lauren: [ Laughs ]
Michael: Mm-hmm!
Lauren: You two look like you’re having the time of your life.
Diane: [ Chuckles ] We are. It’s a night to remember.
Jack: I can’t tell you the last time I went out and just enjoyed music and dance. I love it.
Michael: And you’re not rusty at all, Jack, are you?
Lauren: [ Laughs ] He’s just jealous of your grace and fluidity. In fact, he would like to challenge you to a dance-off.
Diane: [ Laughs ]
Jack: Is that so?
[ Laughter ] Ooh, yeah.
Lauren: [ Laughing ] Oh, honey!
Diane: This might sound crazy, but…was that Jeremy?
Jack: I was just thinking the same thing.
Sharon: Have a great time.

Lauren: So, you’re flying solo tonight. What does Paul have on the agenda now he’s the retired chief of police?
Christine: Uh, actually, Paul’s in Portugal. Heather and Lucy’s visit wasn’t long enough, so he went there to visit.
Lauren: Ah. Well, that sounds like fun. I can’t wait to see pictures.
Christine: [ Chuckles ] Oh, so, do I have this right? You two are responsible for the amazing food and beverages tonight? [ Laughs ]
Michael: Actually, Lauren was the brains of the operation. I was on tasting duty.
Christine: Ah, very well done, both of you.
Lauren: Thank you. Thank you.
Michael: I know Nikki doesn’t want us talking about business tonight, but, uh, I have to ask. Between you and me, how’s the arbitration going?
Christine: I mean, do you think I’m gonna tell you?
Lauren: [ Laughs ]
Michael: No, but like I said, I had to ask.
Christine: No, you really didn’t. You didn’t. Because we’re not talking business tonight.
Christine: Okay, I can tell you this — once the case is settled, I’m considering making a move.
Michael: What? Where?
Christine: My old job.
Lauren: District attorney?
Christine: Yeah, I mean, an interim basis maybe. I haven’t accepted the offer, but I think it would be good for me. I, um… I need a change.
[ Camera shutter clicking ]
Esther: Thank you. Hi.
Leanna: Esther Valentine? [ Gasps ] Oh, my gosh! How long has it been? I almost didn’t recognize you without your feather duster.
Esther: Leanna. What are you doing here? I thought this gala was only for the elite of Genoa City.
Leanna: Oh. Well, you made the cut, so…
Esther: Well, for your information, I am now a key employee of Chancellor-Winters.

Leanna: Impressive. You know, I heard, um, rumblings that there was major conflict at the company. Care to share?

Leanna: Oh, good question. I don’t know. I haven’t seen Devon and Lily in a while. Huh. Maybe there’s a story there. See you later.
Jack: I’m gonna find that man. If it really is Jeremy Stark, I’m gonna throw him out of here. If it’s not, it gives us some peace of mind.
Diane: Jack, please don’t confront him.
Jack: We don’t want him wandering around this party. He’s only gonna cause trouble.
Diane: Just wait. Wait. Um, I-I know we — we put it on hold, announcing our engagement, because we didn’t want to trample on the excitement about Neil’s club.
Jack: You having second thoughts?
Diane: Well…you said that we’d know when the time was right, and, you know, here we are, surrounded by practically everyone we know and there’s buckets of Champagne flowing and I just — I just think it might be a good idea if we do it right now, don’t you?
Jack: I’m the guy who wanted to announce it to the whole world. You’re the one that put the brakes on. I just went along with you.
Diane: Well, I’ve reconsidered.
Jack: Well, you’ll get no argument from me. That’s why I want to deal with Stark — so he doesn’t ruin our moment. I’m just gonna talk to the club security staff, okay?
Diane: Alright. I’ll go with you.
Jack: No, no, no. You — you’re upset. Stay here. Take a breath. Everything’s gonna be okay.
Diane: [ Sighs ]
Jack: I’ll come back and find you.
Diane: [ Gasps ]

Victoria: You know, Dad, if you ask me, I think that Tucker has lost his edge. Instead of a quick and easy sale to Newman, he’s waiting for Devon to ride to his rescue.
Victor: Well, good luck with that. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that Tucker McCall has been playing us.
Adam: You guys talking about McCall?
Victoria: Excuse me. This is a private conversation.
Adam: [ Chuckles ] Which you are having in a very public place. Has the plan to acquire McCall hit a snag? I saw you talking to Tucker earlier. Or are you the one throwing up the roadblocks?
Victor: Son, we are all working toward a common goal, alright?
Victoria: I wouldn’t go that far.
Adam: Mm. So, you both want to buy Tucker’s company, but you have different visions on what happens to it after that. I see.
Victoria: You know, Adam, I really wouldn’t concern myself with this because, however it shakes out, you’re never gonna be CEO.
Elena: I know you’re frustrated, but I do admire your efforts in trying to get Devon and Lily communicating again. When we got back together, you told me that you would work on being a better person. And, lo and behold, you have, which makes me feel like this leap of… Nate.
Nate: I’m sorry. Uh, what?
Elena: [ Scoffs ] If you’re so curious about what the Newmans are discussing, why don’t you just join them?
Nate: Look, uh, I’m a bit preoccupied, okay? There’s a deal in the works. I’m sorry, okay? It won’t happen again.
Elena: Whatever. I’m gonna go mingle.
Nate: [ Sighs ]
Ashley: I am amazed at how focused you’ve been all evening. Right? Because there’s been so much going on in this room. Victoria was pressuring you.
Tucker: Just got to trust that things are gonna work out the way they’re meant to.
Ashley: Since when have you been so fatalistic?
Tucker: I know what I want. I know what you want from the situation.
Ashley: Mm.
Tucker: How can the universe deny us?
Ashley: Uh-huh.
Jill: Hi, Ashley.
Ashley: Hi, Jill.
Jill: Tucker, I’ve been meaning to have a word with you.

Jill: How dare you come after my company? How dare you plant a mole the way you did?
Tucker: Oh, well, if you’re referring to Audra —
Jill: And the worst part of it is you thought you could get away with it. You thought we were too stupid to catch on.
Tucker: If it’s an apology you’re seeking, then you got it. I apologize.
Jill: Oh, don’t hand me that. You’re only sorry because you got busted.
Tucker: [ Sighs ] Jill, we’re both players, aren’t we? It’s who we are. We enjoy the game, and I know that you enjoy playing it every bit as much as I do.
Jill: Oh, shut up. You don’t know a damn thing about me, do you? But I will tell you something. I have taken steps to prevent whatever it is you had in mind. All you’ve accomplished is you’ve made Chancellor-Winters stronger.
Devon: I just don’t see how I can stay ’cause, yeah, the IPO is killed, but that’s not the only issue here. Like, how am I expected to work alongside somebody who went out of their way to try and hurt my feelings?
Lily: I know. I’m… I’m sorry. I am. I just — I let my anger get the best of me, you know? I-I was hurt and scared. And I lashed out.
Devon: Yeah, I’d say so.
Lily: And you’re right. I-I shouldn’t have hired Amanda. Like, that was wrong. I know it was wrong. And I’m sorry.
Devon: And I — I guess I should have been more honest with you and myself about my feelings when it came to doing this merger.
Lily: [ Sighs ] Devon, we can get past this. I know we can. We’ve been through so much together. You know, we — after Hilary died. And then I go to prison and I get out. And after dad died. And we’ve always gotten out stronger on the other side. We always made it through. Like, please, please — like, this can’t be the thing that breaks us.
Diane: What are you doing lurking around? Are you trying to scare me? Because it won’t work.
Phyllis: I’m sorry I startled you.
Diane: Oh, sure you are.
Phyllis: I’ve been looking for you.
Diane: Oh, you have? What, did you get the sense that I was having a good time and you wanted to ruin it?
Phyllis: Kyle’s sick.
Diane: What?
Phyllis: Yeah. He’s sick. He’s nauseated, dizzy. He was sweating, glassy-eyed.
Diane: Well, what is it?
Phyllis: I don’t know. I’m not a doctor. Diane, I have a suite for after the party. Summer’s with him now, but he’s been asking for his mother. So come with me.
Christine: So, where are Mariah and Tessa now?
Sharon: They are in Portland with the baby. I can’t wait for them to get home.
Christine: I don’t suppose you have any photos?
Sharon: Oh, only a few million. Let me show you.
Christine: Okay.
Sharon: [ Laughs ] Look. Here she is, eating.
Christine: Aww, that’s so —
Sharon: And then there she is, sleeping.
Christine: She’s adorable.
Sharon: Isn’t she?
Nikki: Those wouldn’t happen to be baby pictures, would they?

Nikki: Well, welcome to the grandparents club, Sharon. I spent years avoiding the “G” word, until I joined the club and I realized that having a grandchild to spoil is one of life’s greatest blessings.

Jill: I’m doing just fine.
Billy: So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much trouble am I in this week?
Jill: [ Laughs ] You tell me.

Jill: Uh, although I will say that I’ve been getting reports of you making very positive strides in your life since your breakup with Lily, which I had to find out about from Esther, of all people.
Billy: Well, uh, thank you. I’m trying my best.
Jill: Well, honey, that’s all any of us can do in the end. [ Sighs ] I’m really sorry I was so hard on you when you left Chancellor-Winters. You know, I think that was more because of the company’s struggles than your choices, but I’ve been working some things out over there, and I think you’re figuring out your life, too, huh?
Billy: I’m trying. And thank you for the vote of confidence.
Jill: Oh, good. Okay. Johnny tells me he’s been enjoying spending time with both of you.
Billy: [ Chuckles ]
Jill: Billy, you are an outstanding father. I don’t know if I tell you that enough, and that is the most important thing in life.
Billy: I don’t know what’s going on with you, but I really like it.
[ Laughter ]
Jill: I think it’s because I just unloaded on Tucker and I got all the negativity out of me.
Billy: Oh, good.

Phyllis: Well, when I left him a bit ago, he was nauseated. But you want to argue with me, so, okay.
Diane: Well, wait. If Kyle’s so ill, why hasn’t he called a doctor?
Phyllis: Exactly. Exactly. So why don’t you come with me? So you, me and Summer can convince him to get medical help?
Diane: I’m going to see what Kyle has to say.
Diane: Kyle isn’t responding to my text.
Phyllis: Exactly. Probably because he’s out of it.
Diane: You know, you’ll say anything to get me to leave this party, won’t you?
Phyllis: You think I want to kidnap you?
Diane: Well, I wouldn’t put it past you.
Phyllis: Really? Then I’d want to spend time with you, and I don’t want to do that. Listen, if you want to go alone, fine. It’s suite 567. Go. I won’t accompany you.
Victor: I want you to think for a minute of all the things we could achieve if we work as a team instead of spending all this stupid energy fighting each other. We could rule the damn world.
Victoria: [Sighs] Did you and Elena get all caught up?
Nate: Yeah. We talked about uh, Lily, Devon, and the two of us. It feels good, uh, knowing we got back to the place we need be as a couple.
Audra: I saw you and Nate talking. It looked a little intense. Is everything okay?
Elena: Couldn’t be better. But I have been thinking about your suggestion to interview Victoria’s ex, J.T., for my podcast. And maybe it’s not a bad idea.
Audra: I’m glad you think so.

Devon: Neil loved this album so much. Then he left it to me on vinyl, and now it’s Dominick’s favorite. Every time I put it on, he starts dancing.
Lily: [ Chuckles ] I mean, if that’s not a sign, I don’t know what is.
Devon: God, I hate feeling like this. And I hate that we let things get this damn far.
Lily: [ Sighs] I know, Devon. I hate it, too. Please, can we just stop this, and, like, find our way back?
Devon: Yeah. Yeah. I’m gonna drop the lawsuit.
Lily: Really?
Devon: Yeah.
Lily: [ Laughing ] Oh, my god!
Devon: I’m sorry.
Lily: I’m sorry, too.
Summer: [ Sighs ]
Kyle: Had enough excitement for one evening?
Summer: Oh, thank goodness Linda found Zippy in the pool house.
Kyle: Yeah, we’d be breaking into a toy store right about now.
Summer: I know, but Zippy and Harrison are all tucked in and fast asleep.
Kyle: That calls for Champagne.
Summer: Or coffee and dessert?
Kyle: Mm, I think I like your idea better.
Daniel: Hey.
Summer: Hey. What’s up?
Daniel: When’s the last time you saw Mom?
Summer: Um, during Grandma and Grandpa’s speeches. Why?
Daniel: I don’t know. We had this odd conversation. She wanted to know how proud she is of me and how she expects me to do great things in life. Then she just wished me well and took off.
Summer: [ Sighs ] That’s… She said pretty much the same thing to me, that she was impressed with the woman I’d become and that she’s very proud of me.
Daniel: Yeah, but it was strange, right?
Summer: Yeah. It was kind of moving, too.
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, okay, a little, maybe. Maybe it got me a little, too. She’s crossed a thousand lines, but — I don’t know — maybe I’ve been too tough on her?
Kyle: Guys, her behavior was out of control. You needed to set some boundaries.
Summer: I know. But… I just hope we didn’t make things worse.
Leanna: Hmm.
