Taylor: No, I understand. I– I know that you’re worried abo– no, we have the situation with bill and sheila under control. We– no, because if you come back to confront bill, you’re just gonna make the situation worse. Because you’re gonna scream like that. Ridge, I– hey. Oh, stop. Can I call you back? No, I’m fine. I– I’ll talk to you later. You too. Bye. What are you doing here?
Sheila: Well, hello to you too. And I agree, you don’t wanna make the situation worse. I wanted to talk to you, now that I know that we really are not so different, you and me.
Taylor: We are nothing alike, sheila.
Sheila: Aren’t we? I’m really hoping that you can find a way to accept the situation, taylor. My freedom, my relationship with bill. So that we can just all live in peace and harmony.
Charlie: Okay. Here are the new hires for the security team. All have extensive training and experience.
Carter: Background checks?
Charlie: Done by yours truly.
Carter: Okay. Charlie, this place needs to be a fortress. With ridge out of town, I’m responsible for making it as safe as possible.
Charlie: Don’t worry at all. This place is going to be tighter than a $2 watch. You– you– you see– you see a $2 watch is really cheap and you have to wind it really tight.
Carter: Yes, charlie. Yes. I– I get the joke, charlie. It’s just that sheila’s running free and she’s a threat to all of us.
Charlie: Right.
Katie: She most definitely is.
Deacon: Well?
Brooke: Mm! Oh, my gosh! This is amazing.
Deacon: Thank you. Hey, and thank you so much for coming in before we open. I really appreciate it.
Brooke: Yeah.
Deacon: Wait until you meet the chef that I brought in.
Brooke: Well, you can tell your chef that the ravioli is magnifico.
Deacon: Grazie. You know, brooke, I– I gotta tell you, owning my own restaurant and making great money, working with amazing people, it’s– it’s special. But knowing that you and hope are proud of me, that’s something I’ve dreamt of for a very long time.
Deacon: You know, just before you got here, I had a pizza about to go in the oven.
Brooke: Yeah?

Brooke: Still working on that signature pizza?
Deacon: I’m getting so close. Do you wanna try a slice? You know, just give me your thoughts. Come on.
Brooke: Yeah, no, really, I would like to do that.

Charlie: Ah, look. Your concerns are not misguided, little cheese.

Charlie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You see, ridge is the big cheese and– and steffy is the co-big cheese, which of course makes you–
Carter: Carter. Just– I’m just carter.
Charlie: Oh, I get it. You just– you want me to cut the cheese… references. You– you know, you used to be a lot more fun.
Carter: Charlie, I’ll be way more fun when we no longer have to worry about sheila.
Charlie: Yeah.
Carter: Look, I appreciate your hard work. We’ll touch base at the end of the day.

[ Charlie chuckling ]
Carter: We’re in serious trouble. I called you last night, went straight to voicemail. You okay?
Katie: No. No, I’m not. I found out what bill has on steffy and finn. And how he’s blackmailing them to keep sheila out of prison.
Sheila: I can see you’re skeptical. That’s– that’s understandable.
Taylor: You know, I would love nothing more for all of us to live in peace and harmony. You shot my daughter and her husband and you lied about it. So the only way that peace and harmony is going to happen is when you’re behind bars.
Carter: Wait, you know what bill has on steffy and finn?
Katie: Yes. Yes. And it’s unbelievable. I– all this time, the truth was right there in front of us. And I– I can’t stop thinking about it. I was up all night long. I couldn’t sleep.
Carter: Hey, hey, hey. Slow down. Slow down. Breathe. Okay. Whatever it is, it’s obviously huge secret. If you don’t feel comfortable, you don’t have to tell me.
Katie: I trust you. Completely. And I– I don’t wanna keep things rom you, but… I think it’s probably best if you don’t know.
Carter: That’s fine. That’s fine. My main concern is you.
Katie: Well, there’s– there’s something else. I went to see bill to try to get through to him again.
Carter: Katie, I worry about you with sheila over here.
Katie: She wasn’t there at– at least not at first.
Carter: Were you able to talk some sense into bill at least?
Katie: I don’t know. I mean, I– I thought I could see a– a– a glimmer of the old bill in there somewhere.
Carter: How do you know?
Katie: Well, he implied that he would end things with sheila if I took him back.
Deacon: Man, I would’ve loved to have seen the look on forrester’s face when you and taylor shot him down.
Brooke: Well, we stood up for ourselves.
Deacon: Proud of you.
Brooke: Yeah. I think taylor’s proud too. I mean, we can finally be good role models for hope and for steffy. And kelly and beth, they need to see that they have strong grandmas.
Deacon: Oh, come on. They know. They know I’m sure of it. And hope, she really loves you.
Brooke: She loves you. She’s very proud of you.
Deacon: Thank you.
Brooke: Well, you know that. She believed in you when nobody else would.
Deacon: She is very clairvoyant.
Brooke: She is. Well, there is one fascinating development that nobody foresaw happening.
Deacon: Oh yeah? What’s that?
Brooke: I found a new dear friend in taylor.
Sheila: I understand why you may harbor ill feelings toward me.
Taylor: Oh, really? You understand. How good of you. Yeah. You– you put a bullet in me years ago, ruined my life. And then you shot steffy and finn, your own son.
Sheila: Yeah. You– you put a bullet in bill.
Taylor: Those are completely different circumstances.
Sheila: You know what? I am not here to argue with you. I just want you to know that you don’t need to fear me. I’m not here to harm you or anyone else in our family. You don’t need to get extra security or be guarded because I’m not gonna hurt you. I’m not gonna hurt anyone, taylor. I care about you. I saved your life.
[ Wind gushing ]
Taylor: Please, help me.
[ Taylor screaming ]
[ Taylor sobbing ]
Sheila: You know, you are– you’re a leader. You’re in a position of– of power. A prominent psychiatrist. The family will listen to you. Please. Because I’m– I’m not going anywhere. I’m a part of bill’s life, kelly’s grandfather’s, which means I’m a part of your life too. Mckenzie: Being a first time parent is hard, you know? taylor hayes are bffs? Well–

Deacon: I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. Hell froze over.

Brooke: It is pretty wonderful. We are blown away by it. We do have a lot in common and not just ridge.
Deacon: Hey, who knows? Maybe ridge and I’ll become bffs next.
Brooke: Really?
Deacon: Yeah.
Brooke: Well, I don’t know if hell can freeze over twice. So, mr. Restauranteur, why don’t you tell me what you’re doing when you’re not coming up with your next wonderful special signature pizza? Is there a woman in your life? Uh-huh! Okay. I know that look. So there is somebody, isn’t there?
Sheila: You regret shooting bill, don’t you?
Taylor: I do. He wouldn’t be able to blackmail us if I hadn’T.
Sheila: I think there’s more to it, taylor. Why don’t you be honest?
Taylor: I mean, of course, I– I almost killed a man.
Sheila: It haunts your nights, doesn’t it? Makes you sweat and makes your heart raise. You know, I– I understand that. And I’m telling you, you need to forgive yourself. I know you of all people, I– I shouldn’t have to say that to. But you need to forgive yourself first, and then you can forgive others.
Taylor: God, this is so weird! Stop! Stop what you’re doing. Okay? You’re right. I– I do need to forgive myself. I’ve been– I’ve been carrying this for a long time. But I will never forgive you, sheila. Ever.
[ Sheila chuckling ]
[ Taylor exhaling nervously ]
Carter: So bill asked you to come back to him?
Katie: I told him with sheila gone, we could be a family, and he took it to mean that we could be a couple again. I– I saw this flicker of hope in his eyes.
Carter: I guess sheila’s hold over him isn’t as strong as we thought.
Katie: I don’t know. I wish I knew.
Carter: Are you sure?
Katie: About what?
Carter: That you can’t go back to bill? I’m no fool, katie. I know the history you two share.
Katie: Yeah. We do have history. And I will always care for him. And we will always be family. But I am not the same woman he married. There’s a level of respect and love that– that frankly, I demand because I deserve it. And after everything that happened with brooke, I deserve better than that.
Carter: You definitely do.
Katie: And now he’s with sheila carter. He’s– he’s blackmailing the mother of his granddaughter. I mean, frankly, I– I don’t even recognize bill anymore.
[ Knock on the door ]
Brooke: Hello! I come bearing gifts.
Taylor: Yay!
Brooke: I hope you’re in the mood for pizza.
Taylor: Oh.
Brooke: What’s wrong? Not a good time?
Taylor: Oh, god. It’s just um… sheila paid me a visit. Welcome to my digestive system.
Katie: I used to feel lucky to be with a man like bill spencer. He promised that he would always protect me and make me feel safe. And now, he’s with sheila. He’s literally bringing danger to my front door.
Carter: Hey, hey. Our front door. We’re in this together, remember?
Katie: I don’t know how you do it. You always make me feel safe. How can I ever go back to someone like bill after being with someone like you? Smart and kind, more giving and charming and handsome. And I’m gonna need a thesarus ’cause I can’t come up with any more adjectives.
Carter: I love them. You can keep going.
Katie: I think I’m going to drive you away with all of my cheesiness.
Carter: Do you see me leaving?
Carter: I know I just said, “do you see me leaving?” But I do have a meeting in like five minutes.
[ Both laughing ]
Katie: Okay. Thank you for everything.
Carter: Always.
Katie: Have a good meeting.
Carter: I will.
[ Door slamming ]
Katie: How did you get in here?
Sheila: I’m a free woman, remember? And I’m also the woman in bill’s life, katie, and I’m warning you. You need to accept our relationship or else.
Brooke: What on earth was sheila doing here? Are you okay? Did she threaten you?
Taylor: She wanted peace and harmony. She wants us all to get along.
Brooke: Ah, okay. Uh…
Taylor: You know what she said? She said that um… we’re no different than each other because we both shot someone.
Brooke: No, you and sheila are very different. It’s just–
Taylor: I attempted murder and then I kept it a secret. I didn’t wanna tarnish the old st. Taylor image, I guess. Right? It’s a lie. Because the truth is– is I– I shot a man.
Brooke: You weren’t yourself.
Taylor: I shot a man and I left him for dead. That’s what sheila does. So, she’s right. We’re not that different.
Brooke: Stop it. Stop, please. Sheila gets into your head and she makes you doubt yourself. Don’t let her do that. Taylor, look at me. Look. You are nothing like sheila. You are kind. You’re good. You’re smart. You’re an incredible mother. You built an entire career helping countless people around the world. You’re amazing. And sheila is just weaponizing your guilt. You can’t let her do that.
Taylor: I feel like I’m breaking. Brooke, I don’t know. I don’t know what to do. I– I don’t– I don’t know how long I can take this.
Brooke: It’s okay. Really. It’s okay. We’ll get through this. We’re gonna beat sheila. We’re gonna beat her. We will. I– I don’t know how yet, but we will. I don’t want you to worry about it. Just know… that I am here for you. Always. We’ll get through this. Okay?
