Marlena, Belle, and Sydney caught up at the pub. They talked about Sami not coming back to Salem anytime soon. While they were talking, they talked about the treasure hunt and Dominic. Paul called Belle who told her he investigated Dominic. He said Dominic went to boarding school. His roommate was Sami’s fiance, Dante. Sydney said she didn’t know anything about it. She said Dante never gave mafia vibes. Sydney said she would ask Dante about Dominic. Belle told her not to do that. Sydney ended up leaving. Belle and Marlena found it hard to believe that it was a coincidence that Dante meeting and proposing to Sami was a coincidence. Maggie talked to Julie about Philip gambling. Julie talked about Philip’s debt to the Vitali family. Maggie said she didn’t know how she could trust Philip again. She told Julie that she loved Philip like a son and Victor would want her to watch out for him. Julie told her she could do that at Titan.
Theo told Abe that he shouldn’t have taken the job at DiMera. He told Abe that he couldn’t trust Johnny since he lied to him so he quit. Abe said Lexie would be proud of him. Theo told him about the job offer Gabi gave him. He told Abe that he wasn’t sure it would be a good idea. Abe said Theo should go with his gut. Johnny went to DiMera and saw Theo’s letter of resignation. EJ stormed in the office and was upset about what happened while he was gone. Johnny told him that George already ripped into him, but he had his hands full with his baby and sick wife. They argued over whether or not Theo was needed. Johnny said he was lying for everyone and he was disgusted by it. He let EJ know that he was the CEO and that EJ couldn’t tell him what to do. EJ got a text from George to meet at the house. When EJ got home, EJ said that Johnny didn’t have what it took to run the company. George agreed with him. EJ said Sarah would be found responsible for it. George said it would work. EJ said people died on George’s watch. He warned George that he would be taking the fall if it didn’t go away.
