Alex got a message confirming that Kelsey is his baby. Stephanie said they knew he was the father. Julie showed up to tell them that Jeremy left town. She thought Stephanie would have known why Jeremy left town. Stephanie said she knew why he left and asked Alex if he could leave them alone to talk. Alex left them alone. Stephanie told Julie what Jeremy did with Joy and the baby. She said Jeremy tried to ruin her marriage. Julie said she didn’t approve of what Jeremy did but it was better that Alex got to know his daughter. Stephanie agreed with her but thought it was bad timing. Julie said things in life tests love but the challenge made love stronger. She let Stephanie know that she went through the same thing. Alex ran into Joy at the pub. He told her about the test results. Alex said he knew she had a life in New York and wouldn’t ask her to stay, but he wanted to spend time with his daughter. Joy said she wanted him to spend time with his daughter too. She let him know that she didn’t have much of a life in New York. While they were talking, Joy told him she was staying in the Salem Inn. Alex said he wanted her to stay. Joy asked how Stephanie would feel. Alex said Stephanie would understand. He said there was a lot going on between him and Stephanie. Alex told Joy about the kidnapping. Joy said she shouldn’t have come to Salem. Alex told her he didn’t want her or the baby to leave.
While Philip and Gabi were in bed, she told him about Liam. She said she didn’t want Arianna to see him again. Philip told her it would be a mistake because Arianna would rebel against her. Gabi told him that he didn’t have kids. Philip was upset and turned his back on her in bed. Gabi apologized for what she said. He said he didn’t raise a teen but he remembered being a teen. Philip told her to put herself in Arianna’s position. He asked how she would feel if her mother tried to control her life. While they were talking, he said he thought Claire was his daughter. He told her he had a child. Philip told her about the child he and Mimi had through IVF. He said they gave the child up for adoption. Philip said he was never the child’s parent but he thought about him. He said he wondered what his son was up to. Gabi apologized for what she said to him and didn’t mean to hurt his feelings. Philip said she did hurt his feelings. At the town square, Holly, Tate, and Arianna looked for Sophia. Brady called Tate that they didn’t find Sophia. It was believed that Sophia was gone. Sophia’s backpack was found. It looked like Sophia jumped. Holly and Arianna were shocked. Arianna brought up the argument she had with Sophia. They wanted to know how Tate was doing. Tate blamed himself for what happened because Sophia wanted to be with him. Holly and Arianna comforted him. Jada brought Amy to the police station to tell her that the police were looking for Sophia. She told Amy that they found Sophia’s shoe and backpack with blood on it. Jada said they needed a hairbrush or toothbrush to prove it was Sophia’s DNA. Amy said she couldn’t understand how her daughter could do this. She blamed Holly for Sophia’s death. She told Jada about what Sophia went through. Amy asked if there was a chance that Sophia was still alive. Jada said there was always hope since they didn’t have a body. She told Amy that the evidence made the chance of Sophia being alive slim. Amy broke down in tears. Later on, Holly told Tate that Sophia did this to herself. Amy showed up and heard what she said. She blamed Holly for what happened to her daughter. Amy blamed Holly and Arianna for what happened to Sophia. Alex let Stephanie know that Joy was staying in Salem. Amy warned Holly and Arianna that she was going to make them pay for what they did to Sophia.
