Paulina told a thankful EJ that no matter how upset she would be over losing Abe, she couldn’t live with herself if she kept him from Lexie. EJ told her not to say anything because he didn’t want to get Abe and Theo’s hopes up. Paulina didn’t want to work with EJ. She wondered why Lexie was brought back. EJ said Lexie was wonderful and it was the one thing his father wanted before he died. Paulina said it might go wrong. When Paulina went home, she hugged her bible. She felt guilty about not wanting the project to work, but she couldn’t lose Abe. While she was crying, Theo walked in and wondered if she was okay. Paulina said tough work decisions came up and they were starting to get to her. Theo let her know that he and Abe were there for her if she needed anything. Stephanie called 9-1-1 and screamed for help. Owen took the phone out of her hand. Stephanie said she made a mistake. Owen was ready to kill her and Jeremy. Jeremy tried to stop Owen from hurting Stephanie. Owen said she would never love him. Rolf checked on Lexie. He said Stefano would have his final wished fulfilled. Stephanie started to give up ever being found until Jeremy said he would free them. He needed her to dislocate his thumb. Rolf heard Jeremy screaming out in pain. When Jeremy and Stephanie tried to get out, Rolf looked in the room and was shocked. Stephanie told him Owen did this to them. Rolf gagged them and left.
Jada called Steve to tell him about the 9-1-1 call that came in. She said they were sure it was Stephanie. Steve let Kayla know about the call. Kayla told him to find Stephanie. Rafe and Cat couldn’t find much about Owen after his disappearance. Cat decided to go to work. Steve showed up and told him about Jada’s call. He told Rafe that they needed the FBI involved. The FBI let Rafe know they pinged the cellphone tower that routed the call and it was within the hospital. They decided to check out the area. Steve called Kayla so she could let them in the lab. Kayla told him she wouldn’t be able to do it. Rafe called Cat so she could let them in the lab. Rolf went to the lab and texted EJ. EJ was upset that he hired Owen. He told Rolf to make sure the prisoners weren’t found. Kayla went to Cat and told her what Rafe said. Cat opened the door. Jeremy screamed. He ended getting out of the handcuffs.
