Nicole set up a picnic so she and Carlton could eat together. A song came on, and Carlton decided it would be their song. He wanted to dance with her. Nicole decided that she was going to be a new woman. She planted a kiss on him. Naomi met with Leslie to talk about the free clinic. Leslie wanted to help people and now she can do it. While they were talking, it turned out that Leslie was trying to buy respect. Samantha arrived and wanted to be part of the conversation. Leslie brushed her off in a rude way. Naomi warned Leslie not to let her ego get in her way. Jacob met with Isiah to get him to make up with their father. Isiah didn’t have any interest in getting their father’s approval. Eva tried to give him advice about forgetting the past. She thought he should embrace the possibilities. After talking to Eva and Jacob, Isiah decided to go to the police station to see his father. He let Elon know that he would be home for Christmas. Ted hoped he would get a miracle, and Eva would join the family to decorate Martin’s Christmas tree. Eva wasn’t sure it was a good idea. Marcel crossed paths with Leslie, and she wondered if it was a coincidence. Leslie wanted to know if he was paid to watch her the way he did at Winterfest.
