EJ ran into Johnny and Trey at the pub. He asked Johnny if he could see the baby. Johnny let him see the baby. When EJ looked at the baby, Johnny told him that nothing changed. EJ said he knew that it didn’t change anything, He said he promised Amy that he would stay away from the baby in exchange for allowing Johnny to adopt the baby. Johnny was shocked. EJ said he would do anything for him, He told Johnny that Tony was missing and that Kristen escaped prison. Johnny said that was a reminder that it’s dangerous to be a DiMera. EJ reminded him that he was a DiMera. Paulina helped Chanel with the baby. Chanel said she was overwhelmed. Paulina said she could complain and suggested she take time off from the bakery. She advised Chanel to lean on Johnny and make time for herself. Shawn ran into Belle. She told him what was going on with her mother. Belle beat herself up for falling for EJ. Shawn said she wanted to see the best in people. He said she would find someone who would treat her the way she deserved to be treated. Shawn said he was sorry he wasn’t the person. Belle said he was the person even if it didn’t work out.
While Cat was at the square, Liam tried to take her purse, but she stopped him. He tried to run away, but Abe stopped him. Liam told him he had to feed his kid. He asked Abe not to say anything so he wouldn’t go back to jail. Abe agreed not to say anything since he didn’t actually steal the purse. He told Liam not to do anything like that again. Liam promised not to do it again. Cat said they could forget what happened and left. Liam said he wasn’t that kind of guy. Abe told him there were resources available and offered him money. Liam didn’t want to take his money. Chad read the edits Leo did on his dating profile. He ended up running into Cat while she was icing down her wrist. Chad wondered what happened. Cat told him that someone tried to mug her. After they talked, she walked away from him. Chad looked at his profile before sending it out. Belle and Shawn talked about putting themselves out there. When they were finished talking, Belle got an alert on her phone. Chad turned out to be a match for her on the dating app.
