You know, when I asked you to take Carter’s mind off of Hope, you weren’t supposed to fall for him. What can I say? Carter’s an incredible man. I’m hoping he still is after Hope’s manipulations. Steffy: Hey. Hi. Mmm. Wow. -[both laugh] -Happy to see -you’re in a good mood. -How could I not be? It’s a big day for Forrester Creations. I never thought… you, of all people, would betray me. You’re hurting. But I’ve been by your side this entire time. I sacrificed everything because I love you. And you threw it all away for a family that neglected you! It was time to make things right. Oh! Oh, well, then congratulations. I guess making things right is me losing my position and you getting to keep yours. I’ll fix this. I promise. But we can’t let what happened at Forrester be the end of us. What we have is bigger than a job, Hope–we love each other. We can’t give up on that. We can’t. [heavy music plays] Well, it’s official. The LLC has been transferred back. My dad, my grandfather, and I– we’re finally back in control -of Forrester Creations! -Sweetheart, that’s amazing! -I know! -Thanks to Carter. I told you that this was going to happen, that they were going to use the power that you gave back to them to fire me. Ridge and Eric gave me their word. They can go to Steffy–they can convince her to take you back. Carter… are you being serious right now? What makes you think that they would listen to you after what you did? If you thought you weren’t heard before, oh, you are in for a trip. You know, the only reason you still have a job at the company is because their egos are too big to believe that their good little soldier betrayed them. And it is far easier to blame and shame me. I’m sorry. No, you’re not. You had a chance to stand with me today, and you chose that family instead. Just when I thought you might have found a bit of class over the years, you always prove me wrong. I shouldn’t be surprised. You’re always… throwing yourself at Ridge. -The only reason you’re here– -The only reason I’m here is because you took the CEO position at Forrester. Showing him, once again, your true colors. I took the CEO position to convince Carter what he was doing was wrong. And look. Look where we are. Ridge is back in charge of Forrester Creations, and this horrible chapter is behind us. All of it. We need to heal. We need to be together and move forward. I know I want that, and I believe you want that too. [edgy music plays] I can’t believe you’re questioning my loyalty after everything I’ve done for you. [laughs] Loyalty? -You kissed Daphne, Carter. -[exhales] You abandoned me when I needed you the most because it got tough for you. -You made your choice. -Yes. And I chose my conscience. I told you how this was tearing me apart, how I felt like a traitor, but you wouldn’t listen. We knew the fallout was going to be difficult, and we said that we were going to do it together. Then let’s do it together. Unless… Unless what? I am no longer desirable ’cause I’m not in a position to help you. [scoffs] There it is. Yeah, so Ridge and Steffy finally got into your head. -You think I’m using you. -No. No. But I do think you fell for me because my undying loyalty and everything I was willing to sacrifice for you. Every man in your life has let you down– your father… Liam… Thomas. And here comes Carter, your knight in shining armor, and the second I do something you don’t like, I’m gone! Do you remember the last time I was fired… and you told me had you had been there, you wouldn’t have let it happen? Well, you had your chance today. And you let it happen. Hope… I love you. I love you, and I don’t wanna fight with you. And I don’t want this to be over. You made a deal with Ridge and Eric behind my back, and you set me up. So when I see you standing there… I no longer see the man that I fell in love with. Hope… [whispering] Goodbye, Carter. [somber music plays]
Steffy: Not once did Hope show an ounce of remorse. She just lacks self-awareness, and she always plays the victim. DAPHNE: Couldn’t agree more. Now, if you’ll excuse me, there’s something I need to check on. Something or someone? [giggles] That dark period is behind us, Ridge. It’s time that we all move on. I couldn’t agree more. Just come home. Tell me that’s what you want too. [soft, emotional music plays] DAPHNE: I know you think you’re in love, darling, but she’s been using you. When you finally give the company back to the Forresters, remember what I told you about Hope. You okay? Not really. Hope believes I betrayed her, that I stabbed her in the back. She wants nothing to do with me. Her loss. Takes courage to face your wrongs and do what’s right. You know, after the fragrance drop and the press, I was gonna go back to Paris. But I can’t leave now. Because I’ve never met a man like you, Carter Walton. Daphne, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you. You helped me find myself, but, uh… I’m really messed up right now. I did the one thing I swore to Hope I would never do, but it wasn’t my fault. No, Ridge and Eric, they broke their promise. After you broke their trust. But you did the right thing. I’m not this good guy. You’ve made mistakes. We all have. And the Forresters gave you a second chance because they see what I see– a remarkable man… full of goodness, intelligence, and integrity. My heart is broken. It’s broken because you gave it to the wrong person. CARTER: Look, I know what’s right, Hope, and I will never–I will never stop fighting for you. HOPE: I have never felt so protected. I love you. I love you too. I don’t wanna be in a world without you in it, Hope. This is our beginning, not our end. I told you. I told you, I will never give up on you. [emotional music swells] -Thank you. -[softly] Yeah. [sighs] Ahh. -Ha. You must feel like… -Mmm. -A weight has been lifted. -Oh, my gosh. Yeah. We finally have the company back. The family business is back where it belongs. Well, it’s more than a business. It’s…it’s a home. My grandparents poured their blood, sweat, and tears into the company, and I just have so many fond memories there, just running around with Thomas and Phoebe in the hallways, trying to sneak into my grandfather’s office to raid the jellybeans in his drawer. Gosh…like even then, the place just seemed so grand to me, and I told myself that one day I’m gonna lead the company. Just wanted to make my parents so proud of me. Well, you have. Because of you, this will never happen again. -Ugh. -What? What is it? Well, we’ve dealt with one Logan. Now we just have to deal with another who’s even more cunning. Mmm. Brooke. Yeah. She wanted to speak with my father, I’m sure to advocate for her daughter. But Brooke never misses an opportunity to throw herself at my father, try to work her way into his life. It’s been a big day for my family, for my dad. And I’m very happy for all of you. But not everything has been restored. It’s nothing that Ridge and Steffy can’t fix. Okay, I respect and admire both of you. You-you gave me my life. You gave me my kids. You gave me…my memories, so many beautiful memories. But I think you’re right, it’s-it’s time to look to the future, but you can’t have a future without a past. We gotta move on. -CARTER: This is just business. -HOPE: This is not business. -This could be an opportunity. -For you. How in the world is this beneficial for me? You’re really staying. DAPHNE: Hope left you. You need to leave her too. It’s not that easy. -It was for her. -It wasn’t. Let me remind you– you carried your guilt long enough. You did the right thing. Don’t for a second regret it. Even if that means I lost Hope? Especially then. You should feel free, light a weight have been lifted. I don’t. You will. I’m here for you. [moody music plays] I wish I could have kicked Brooke out of Forrester -along with Hope. -[sighs] Ohh. Ridge and Eric would never allow it. Yeah. We’ve already been through so much. Last thing we need is an argument about Brooke. But I really hope Brooke doesn’t get into my father’s head and guilt-trip him away from my mom. The idea of hurting either one of you guys is-is… I hate it so much. But we can’t do this anymore. We gotta do something. You knew–you always knew when I saw Brooke for the first time… …she was always gonna be my Logan. And when we were in Rome… I was lost. I don’t mean I was l–I was… I was lost in my life. I didn’t know what to do when I looked through that keyhole. And you were reminded of our destiny. Yeah. And we held on to that… so tight. But it didn’t work, did it? Brooke, I made a commitment.
