[ Chuckles ] Wow. I mean wow. Is all of this for — just for dinner with aunt stella? Well, I don’t want to get on that woman’s bad side ever again. Understood. Well, you have my aunt’s seal of approval. You know that, right? Mm-hmm. You look like you’re in a good mood. Yeah. I’m glad to see it. I’ve just been more relaxed lately. Well, it probably helps to know that you and drew are going to work together to unravel the mystery of your father. Nobody really likes the non-alcoholic wassail, but alan wanted it every christmas. So in case anyone wants to spice it up, I’ve got some high-octane vodka. Wow. Yeah.
[ Chuckles ] Hey. You don’t have to pretend that everything’s fine. I know how hard this christmas is for you without jason.
[ Door opens ] Look who’s here for her first night of christmas. Oh, she is adorable.
[ Shushing ] I miss jason more than I can say. But I’m so grateful for the rest of the family. I’m even more grateful to have you home. Well, hello, gorgeous.
[ Chuckles ] Hi. I heard a rumor that santa was really good to you. Oh, very good. In fact, I think he spoiled her this year.

[ Chuckles ] It’s — I mean, really. Hey, um… scout, why don’t you open the gift from molly and tj? Okay. Well, I guess kristina isn’t the only one to blame, because tj and i had a very similar idea. Huh? Alexis: Oh! Ooh, let’s see. Oh, no. Come on. Oh, you can do it. You can do it. You can do it. Yes. Why am I scared? You’re going to love it! Rip it! Don’t say it’s another noisemaker. Oh, what is it? What is it? Oh. Mommy, look! Yeah! An accordion. How about that? Yeah. What in the world were you thinking well, when you were away with dante — tj, kristina, and I had scout danny over one afternoon to give them a little break from the quartermaines. Uh-huh. And possibly to give the quartermaines a break from them. Tj: We found a kids’ show on tv all about musical instruments. Scout just fell in love with the show. Yeah, I mean, she was even, like, pretending to play along with imaginary instruments. Scout wasn’t the only one. Mm. I see. It’s true.
[ Laughter ] Mom, look what grandma alexis got me. -Wow! -Yes. Bongos!
[ Accordion and bongos playing ] Amazing, mom! Thank you. For the musical interlude? Uh, for giving me the best christmas I’ve had in a very long time. Both of us. I was drunk last year. And I was in prison. I’d like to propose a toast. To new beginnings. Hey! I thought you a lready gavegeorgie and james their gifts. Uh, this isn’t for james or georgie. It’s for louise. A swiss christmas angel waiting for her when she comes home. Wow, liesl. That’s, um — that’s very sweet. Yeah, I’m sure louise will come home soon, and you can give it to her in person. liebling? How dare those people not let you see wiley on christmas. Michael corinthos is trying to put you in prison. This could be your last chance to be with your grandson. I don’t think he likes it at all. Yeah, clearly, he hates it.
[ Laughs ] That’s it. Worst christmas ever. Well, I think there are plenty of gifts under the tree wiley can open.
[ Indistinct conversation ] Rocco, is everything okay? What’s up, bud? I was riding my bike past the guardhouse and the guard stopped me and gave me this. He said it’s for wiley. Let me guess. Nina? Yeah. Yeah, it is. So, I’m — I’m glad that you came by and celebrated christmas with — with the family. Yeah. Yeah, me, too. You know, last year, uh, I dropped presents off, and that’s when carly told me you were missing. Yeah, well, last year was not a-a good time for any of us, but I’m sure carly appreciated your company. You know, I actually had an ulterior motive. I found out that you had secretly paid for lulu’s and my house. Ah. [ Chuckles ] And I wanted to thank you. Well — so here I am a year later. Thank you for our home. And for coming back to yours. Yeah. Take it easy, buddy. Don’t look at me like that… what’s going on?
I remember when scout was this age. Those were such good times. I understand you had a visit from your daughter the other day. I did. Sam brought her by. She actually found my favorite christmas ornament, the star on the top of the tree in the nook. Apparently, it was in the playroom. Rocco was using it as a sheriff’s badge.
[ Chuckles ] Well, I’m not surprised it was scout that tracked it down. Mm. You want to know my favorite part of christmas? What? Helping scout put that star on the tree. Want me to spike some of this wassail for you?
[ Chuckles ] Oh, my bad. Good morning to you, too, detective chase. Okay, would you mind just turning around, please? No, thank you. I don’t want anything from you. Ms. Gilmore, I need to get your signature on this. What is it? Assurance that someone will be staying with you for the next 24 hours. It’s policy. For your protection. Brando will do that. Ma, would you, um… take sasha’s bag down to my car? I parked on level A. We’ll meet you down there. Sure thing, honey.
[ Elevator bell dings ] Um, hey. Um, you know, you just had surgery. And — and I think deanna’s right. Someone should be with you. Please, sasha. Come home with me.
[ Accordion and bongos playing ]
[ Molly laughs ] Danny, scout, why don’t you go into the kitchen and get cookies for grandma monica’s? Yeah? Alexis: Ooh! Thank you. That’ll be a full house at the quartermaines’. They’ll have a big audience. Will dante be there? Uh, yeah, with rocco. So, I heard drew is living there, too. Is that going to be a problem for you? Why would it be? Well, you know, the two men in your life.
All is bright I mean, talk about an embarrassment of riches, dante and drew. Ew, how old are you guys?
[ Chuckles ] Come on. Drew and I are focused on scout and only scout. Dante is okay with that. I hope so. Uh, I’m sure last christmas wasn’t easy for you. Yeah, you mean everything with lulu? I wish I was there for you.
[ Sighs ] Well, you know what? You’re here now, with your family where you belong. Nothing better than family. Speaking of — oh, olivia’S… expecting you? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, rocco, come on, buddy, we got to go. Thanks for my presents. They’re really cool. Wiley: You’re welcome. Carly: Bye, rocco. Do you think that they’re upset nina got wiley a gift? I think they expected it. I suspect they’re thinking about sasha and brando. Mm, we all are. What happened to their baby is just awful. Do you think that sasha and brando will come by later?
[ Sighs ] I don’t know. I invited them. I doubt they’re feeling up to it. They’ll be here. You and I said goodbye to liam together. You’re the only one who knows exactly what I’m feeling. So, um… yes, I — I’ll go home with you. But just for tonight.
[ Car alarm chirps ]
let’s get sasha home. We have one quick stop to make first. Where? You won’t be sorry, I promise. Nurse johnson, mr. Ashford.
[ Laughs ] Although sometimes I feel I could teach the doctors a thing or two. Well, I have no doubt, nurse johnson.
[ Chuckles ] Are you a musician? Is that why you’re in charge of the volunteer gig? No. I do it to show the patients some joy on this very special night. Well, I’m sure they’re very appreciative of your thoughtfulness.
[ Chuckles ] Do you play? Oh, no, I’m a singer. Oh, so you’ll be singing with the band tonight. No band. Just a combo. No vocalist. Oh. That’s general hospital’s tradition. I’m a firm believer that some traditions are made to be broken.
[ Chuckles ] I believe you mean rules. Ah, what are rules, if nothing but traditions.
[ Laughs ] The other volunteers are already up on the 10th floor. We will start there and work our way down. Great.
[ Elevator bell dings ] Thank you for listening to me as I go on about my father. You’re welcome. Marshall unnerved me at first, too. Did something happen between the two of you that I need to know about? Curtis, you had a lot on your mind. I really didn’t want to bother you. But marshall appeared at the metro court when I was having breakfast with trina. He had no business talking to you while you were with your daughter. Curtis, it was fine.
[ Sighs ] So what did he say? Well, he admitted to trina that he abandoned you, your mother, and your brother when you were very young. How did trina handle that? It made her think of her father and why taggert made us believe that he was dead. Well, in taggert’s defense, he did have a more compelling story, and he wasn’t gone as — nearly as long as my father was. Yeah, but the point being is that trina… forgave her father. She’s spending christmas night with him. Yeah. Well, that’s not going to happen with me and my father. So, we will be setting up over here. Let’s not get into it about wiley, not today. It’s christmas. I just don’t see how that family can be so uncharitable. I would have thought they’d make an exception on christmas and let you see that beautiful little boy. Well, we all know that carly has a big problem with me, and that was true even before everything that happened in nixon falls. So I just dropped wiley’s gift off at sonny’s on my way here, at the guardhouse. I wouldn’t dare go inside. Okay, let’s think about a way we could possibly finesse this situation. I thought you said willow was an ally. I mean, you told me she let you see wiley at rice plaza. Yeah, she did. But I’m afraid that she will probably never let me see wiley again. Why? What changed? Whoa. Nice toy there, wiley. Yep. I love to see you having fun. Where’d you get that? Um, I got it from the bag. Oh, yeah? Uh, nina. She dropped it off with one of the guards. So, is everything set for tomorrow? Everything’s in order for nina’s preliminary hearing? Good. That’s what I like to hear. What are you doing out there?! It’s freezing! It’s, uh — it’s handled. I hope so. Business on christmas is not allowed. This is our day to be together and appreciate each other. Yeah. Hey, I am all for that.
[ Doorbell rings ] I’ll get it. I’m so tired. I can’t believe how early the girls got us up this morning looking for santa. Man, they started like a little after 5:00. Yeah, we were able to hold them off till 6:30. Thank god.

tree, huh?Mm-hmm. You must be feeling pretty good, all settled into your new place. Ah, it’s a little sparse on furniture, but it’s got a great view of the harbor, and it’s an easy walk to the office. Where’s your office? Ready to be surprised? Uh, attention, everyone. Christmas isn’t over yet, okay? Uh, I have a really great gift for port charles. You are looking at the new publisher of the invader. I’m so happy to see you both. Oh, my goodness. Merry christmas. You look so beautiful. And look at you, man. You look so handsome. That jacket — that is a beautiful jacket. You look just like your dad. Thanks. I-I really begged santa for this jacket. I bet you did. Missing your dad right now, aren’t you? Yeah. And I know that you — you used to love to go see the ‘chucks play, so maybe one day this summer, that — I don’t know, I could take you to a game. Danny said he’d come to the games with me and my dad. I’m obviously someone who loves to sit still and chant om for 100 hours. Okay, you just seemed so down in the steam room that I thought it might help, but clearly, I can’t do anything right with you right now. It’s not that. It’s not anything. Just stop making this about you. I don’t want to push the wiley issue, you know, on willow and put her in the middle. Willow is a grown woman. If she’s allowed you to visit wiley before, why wouldn’t she allow it again? Aunt liesl, forget it. It’s not going to happen. Wait, why not? We had a friendship, you know, back in nixon falls, when he didn’t know who he was. And we had a bond when he thought — can you just — can you just tell me what you overheard? Enough to know that you and sonny fell in love, and you don’t regret it. Trust me. I can’t ask willow for any more special favors. She’s already doing enough for me. Not that I can see. It’s christmas day, and she hasn’t lifted a finger to give you time with your precious grandson. I’m going to give that willow a piece of my mind. Sasha, brando, I’m so glad you guys could make it. [ Sighs ] I am so sorry about liam. If anyone knows what it’s like, it’s you. This will sound totally cliché, but it’s true. Someday you will be able to live with the pain. And you will find yourself smiling again.
[ Door shuts ] I hope you got room under the tree. I shopped.
[ Chuckles ] Thank you for opening your house up to us. I hijacked them just like you asked me to.
In excelsis deo we just wanted to help you out, you know, distract you a little bit since it’s your first night out of the hospital. I realized when I stepped in here and saw all your faces… this is exactly where I needed to be. I hope you feel the same. I heard that you felt like you didn’t have a family. You’re wrong. Sonny: Sasha… you’re part of the family now. That’s right. Welcome to the family.
Scout! I love this so much. Thank you. She picked it out herself. I know she did, because hot pink is her favorite color. Now — and now it’s mine, too. That was bad, wasn’t it? Hold on. Help me. Fix this up a little bit for me. Got it? There. There. Better? That’s better. Yeah, it is. Thank you. Grandma says there’s cake in the nook. Oh, no.
[ Gasps ] I want cake. Can I get some cake? Absolutely. There’s also some presents under the little tree in the nook. You might want to check those out, too, guys. Come on. Go ahead, scout. What did I do now? Nothing. You know, how about we do something I know will get me out of my bad mood and make me remember why it is so important we are in this fix? I’m all for that.
[ Sighs ] Okay, stefan, this is marshall, and he plays the clarinet. What’s up, man? The hospital does this every christmas. Yeah, I know. Musicians volunteer to entertain the patients. Did you know that your father played the clarinet? Absolutely not. There’s probably a lot that you don’t know about your father. And maybe it isn’t all bad. What kind of christmas songs do you like to sing? I already told you, this isn’t my gig. I heard you, but maybe one tune? Come on. Everybody loves the lyrics to christmas tunes. You told me you do this to bring joy to your patients. Why not double the fun? Sing for them. You bought the invader? How? I-I’m not the owner. I-I’m the administrator of the nonprofit that owns the invader. O-okay, but when and how did you become the administrator of a nonprofit? Well, I have my ways.
[ Laughs ] Well, I’d say congratulations, but I’m pretty sure your nonprofit just bought itself a boatload of problems. Yeah, I mean, the invader’s philosophy is to just exploit and embarrass anyone and everyone. Well, I’m going to give
the invader a new mission — to expose injustice. I’m going to make the invader a platform to advocate for the greater good. Maybe I should have gotten you a cape for christmas, mr. Superhero. Well, christmas ain’t over, son. You still got time.
[ Chuckles ]
[ Sighs ] Hey. Mom, are you okay with this? Why wouldn’t I be? Because shawn’s found his purpose, and you’re still looking for yours. Alright, kristina, have you ever heard of the word tact? Mom, I promise, you are going to have an important role in the world again. She already does. As our mom. It’s true. No, no, no! Enough! Do not call willow! Let it — just let it go. I will not let you stand there missing your grandson. Give me my phone back! No! I’m not giving you your phone! Stop, stop! It is christmas. You two need to behave.
[ Sighs ] I’m sorry, my dear maxie. The last thing I want is to upset you. Yeah. The same. I’m sorry. Okay, can you just not pursue this with willow? I will give you back your phone. Just let this be the end of it. If I can’t get this thrown out in the preliminary stage, then I don’T… have much of a defense. I wish I knew something, anything, so that I could turn the D.A.’S narrative right on its head. How is this? I believe nina and sonny fell in love.
[ Spits ]
[ Knock on door ] Scott: I’m here, my dove. Oh. I don’t think he was talking to us. No, I don’t think so, either. Ah. Oh, I was just working on nina’s preliminary hearing. I’ve missed my dear linzer torte since opening our naughty gifts this morning. I need some private time with my sweet, noble savage. Wow. No kidding. Hey, let’s go home and play. Playtime can wait. What? Someone knows sonny and nina were in love in nixon falls. I wanted to give you this in private. What is it?
[ Chuckles ] I wrote you a letter, uh, just saying how happy I am that you’re part of my family. You know, kristina was here this morning, and donna and avery are upstairs asleep after a long day of opening christmas presents. And I love having so many sisters in my life, and that includes you. So I guess I-I just wanted you to know that.
[ Sighs ] Wow. [ Chuckles ] I, um — I never had a sister.
[ Chuckles ] And now I know what I’ve been missing. Thank you. Thank you, carly, for letting me into your family’s life and for forgiving me for my sins. Oh, forget all about that, okay? Sasha, you deserve so much happiness. And sonny and i can’t make up for what happened to you and brando. But we can do everything in our power to make things easier for you. I promise. You guys are amazing. Truly. I-I know you’ve both suffered losses. I mean, h-how do you even have room to be so generous with me and sasha? Because of the losses that we’ve been through, we can understand your loss. Jason and — and morgan will always be part of our lives, and we got no limit how many people we can love, right?
[ Wiley speaks indistinctly ] Look, uh, grief shouldn’t always be private. It should be shared so that maybe in some small way, it can be alleviated. Thank you.

So, an ex-client of mine who apparently has lived in a bubble in the last year sent me this for christmas, huh? So I’m going to let you guys toast with the hard stuff, and I will stick with the soft stuff. Well, hey, mom, we can all toast shawn alcohol-free. I second that. I appreciate the solidarity, I do, but that’s not the way it works in the real world. People drink. People drink. Some people drink a lot. But now that I’m in the real world, I need to get used to it. It’s part of life. See what a smart domestic partner you have? Yes. Yeah, I do. I know he is. Alright, alright, so let’s just celebrate shawn and this beautiful christmas night together, okay? Hey. Are you nervous about your preliminary hearing tomorrow? Is it that obvious? I thought I was putting up a good front. No, it’s okay. I get it. The hearing’s supposed to give you an idea about how your trial’s going to go, but I thought the whole point of the hearing was for scott to get the charges thrown out. Yeah, but he’s not going to succeed. I mean, maxie, there’s too much evidence against me. I mean, I did lie to sonny all those months, just like I lied to his family. Still, I’m rooting for you. And I really, really appreciate you forgiving me for letting peter get away when he was in nixon falls. Peter was threatening james. You had no choice. Wowza. Are you sure tt willow tait knows about sonny and nina? Nina is good at keeping secrets, but she’s no match for me and my incredible intuitive skills. There must be a way for you to put willow on the stand. Well, it could take a little maneuvering, but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk. You wanted someone who could testify that sonny and nina were in love in nixon falls. I gave you that person. Yes, yes, yes. But how do we know that she’s going to tell the truth? I mean, she’s a corinthos, and she’s also a quartermaine, which is just as bad. I know she’d never do anything to hurt michael. Yes, but if she does get up on the stand and lies, it’s going to make things worse for nina. We have to try. Otherwise, my niece has no defense. Nina will go to prison. I will do anything for my schnitzel. Oh, please, not where innocent children might see. Mm. Well. Oh! Darn it. You know what I want for christmas? What? What do you want for christmas? I want peter to die. Today. Oh, okay. And then the very best present will come right after that. Your daughter will come home for christmas.
[ Knock on door ] Hi. Someone wanted to wish you a very merry christmas. Hi. Hi. Whatever happened between us in nixon falls, it has to come from me. And it will. Okay. I get it. But…despite all the pain that it caused — and I know that we’re going on with our lives — it’s just I need to let you know that the love that we shared is the purest thing that I’ve ever known in my life. And I am sorry — I am so sorry — but I could never… regret that. Candy for your thoughts? I was just thinking about how much I love you and this family. Well, I like those thoughts. I’ve been thinking. We — we created liam by accident, right? You know, during one crazy, impulsive night. And, you know, we could have gone our separate ways after that. But liam brought us together. Now that he’s gone… …I don’t want to lose you, too. I love you, sasha gilmore. I love you with everything inside of me. But if I’m too painful of a reminder of liam, then — then walk away. No harm, no foul. I-I won’t want to make our loss even worse for you, but I am — I’m hoping that something good can come from our son’s short time on this planet. Liam left us a legacy.
