Jason and Dante talk and, after the talk, Jason decides to move back into the Quartermaine Mansion so he and Danny can live there with Dante, Rocco, and, Scout since Scout told Drew she didn’t want to live in Washington. Drew will live in the mansion with Scout and he will commute back and forth to Washington.

Mac and Felicia give Sasha a letter from Robert saying he will return to Port Charles when he gets Holly out of trouble. Robert tells Sasha that he is looking forward to getting to know her when he returns home. Mac and Felicia welcome Sasha to the Scorpio family and tell her that they will be there for her whenever she needs them.

Michael tries to persuade Curtis to team up with him to kick Drew out of Aurora Media but Curtis doesn’t want to help Michael with his revenge on Drew. Aunt Stella persuades TJ to go to Ava’s trial and support Molly. Molly and Kristina decide they need to get justice for the death of their daughter at Ava’s trial. Molly is upset with her dad Ric for defending Ava and making her testify for the defense.

Danny talks to Jason because he feels terrible because he blamed his Uncle Lucas for the death of his mom. Danny feels badly that Lucas stayed away from the funeral because of what he said to him.

Alexis reads Sam’s will and it says that she wants Drew to be Danny and Scout’s guardian because she wanted her kids to stay together. Alexis tells Molly the will was written when Jason was presumed dead. Alexis and Molly think Sam never updated the will because she never thought she needed to update it.

Brenan once again asks Lucky if he has decided to take the WSB mission and Lucky tells him that he hasn’t decided what to do about the job offer yet.

Portia tells Lucas that Sam’s autopsy shows that her death was not caused by a surgical error. Portia tells Elizabeth that Sam’s death was caused by an overdose of digitalis. Portia wants to review everything that was done by Elizabeth and the nurses that cared for Sam.

Lulu wakes up at Turning Woods long-term care facility but, when she hears Cyrus talking to her doctors outside her room, she pretends to still be in a coma when Cyrus and the doctor come in to check on her. Once Cyrus and the doctor leave, Lulu takes the tube’s out and sits up in bed.

The entire episode focuses on Sam’s funeral.

Sam’s family and friends gather to share memories of her. The audience sees clips of each person with Sam and, at the end of the funeral, the audience sees more clips and memories of Sam.

Lucas and Ava are at Julian’s grave having a talk. Lucas tells Ava he isn’t at Sam’s funeral because Danny didn’t want him at the funeral since he blames him for Sam’s death. Lucas tells Ava that he won’t know what caused Sam’s death until they get the results of the autopsy. Lucas tells Ava he will gladly take the blame if it will help Sam’s family grieve. Ava reminds Lucas he isn’t alone and, if he needs to talk, she will be there for him.

Lulu opens her eyes.

Terri offers Isiah Gannon a job at the hospital and Jordan persuades him to take the job because the hospital needs a man with his skills.

Lucky talks to Sonny because he is trying to decide if he should stay in town or go back to Somalia. Sonny advises Lucky not to let anyone persuade him to stay in town if he wants to leave town.

Elizabeth tells Terri that she feels bad that she hoped Lucky would stay in Port Charles and Lucky and Aiden could be a family. Terri advises Elizabeth that she should tell Lucky how she feels because he needs to know before he leaves Port Charles.

Drew tells Ric that he and Jason fought because Jason knows he and Willow kissed. Drew tells Ric that he and Willow slept together but nobody knows about that except him and Willow. Drew asks Ric to tell Jason he won’t press charges against him if he keeps quiet about him kissing Willow. Ric asks Jason to sign an NDA and Drew won’t press charges against him. Jason doesn’t sign the NDA but he does promise not to tell anyone about Drew and Willow.

Jason and Drew get into a physical fight in the Quartermaine living room. Jason punches Drew because he slept with Willow. Drew asks Jason why they are fighting, and he says “you know why.”

Michael and Willow decide to have an honest talk so they can begin work to save their marriage. The talk is interrupted by Nina who wants Willow to check on Drew’s black eye and his cuts.

Ned gets upset with Michael because he told Jason about Drew and Willow ‘s kiss. Michael tells Ned that he needed to talk to someone about the situation. Ned worries that everyone will know Drew and Willow have been playing footsie. Michael sees Willow taking care of Drew as they whisper because Drew doesn’t think Jason knows about what happened between them. Drew tells Willow he has no idea why Jason fought with him.

Molly meets Dr. Gannon and she tells him it is her birthday but she doesn’t feel like celebrating because Sam died. Isiah tells Molly that all birthdays should be celebrated so he finds a cupcake and puts a candle in it and sings happy birthday to her.

Kristina also gives Molly a birthday present which means a lot to her because she thought everyone forgot her birthday this year.

Trina runs into Kai again and tells him she requested a new art project partner.

Kristina tells Alexis that she thinks her purpose in life is to testify against Ava so she can get justice for baby Adela also known as baby Irene. Kristina wants Alexis to help her get justice for baby Adela.

Drew wins the election and is going to be a congressman. Drew is going to go to Washington after Sam’s funeral.

Jason asks Spinelli to keep looking for Valentin and asks him to focus his search on Brennan because he thinks Brennan knows Valentine’s location.

Michael tells Jason that he has proof that Drew and Willow are sleeping together because he has footage from the nanny camera. Jason advises Michael to have a talk with Willow about her feelings and try and save his marriage.

Drew wants Michael to be CEO of Aurora Media but Curtis thinks that he will be CEO of Aurora Media once Drew leaves for Washington DC.

Jason talks to Spinelli about whether he should let Danny live with him or step back and let him live with Rocco and Scout because it is best for Danny.

Cody and Tracy team up to keep an eye on Drew waiting for him to make another mistake so they can bring him down.

Ric tells Anna that he intends to get Ava’s case thrown out because the police bent the rules to help Sonny.

Jason gives Sidwell the diamonds and rescues Sasha before a bomb goes off and blows up the warehouse where Sidwell was keeping Sasha. Sidwell makes a get away with the diamonds.

Sasha gives Robert a hug and thanks him for saving her. Holly tells Sasha she gave Sidwell the diamonds because she loves her more than anything.

Brad and Carly try to persuade Lucas that Sam’s death was not his fault. Lucas still blames himself and he tells Brad and Carly that, even if the autopsy shows another cause of death, he still has to live without his sister.

Sasha tells Sidwell that the only way he will get his diamonds is if he sets her free so she can get the diamonds from Holly and bring them to him. Sidwell doesn’t accept Sasha’s offer to help him. Holly tells Jason that Sidwell kidnapped her daughter Sasha because he wants her to return the diamonds she stole from him. Jason gives her the diamonds and goes with her to meet with Robert, Jack Brenan, and Anna.

Anna agrees to let Jason and Jack Brenan handle Sasha’s rescue as long as Jack gives her updates on the situation. Sidwell calls Holly and allows Holly and Robert talk to Sasha. Holly and Robert tell Sasha that they will go get her soon and Sidwell tells Holly and Robert they need to follow his exact instructions if they want to see Sasha again.

Carly goes to Jack Brenan for help to rescue Sasha from James Sidwell.

Brenan tells Anna, who breaks the news to Robert and Holly, that Sidwell kidnapped Sasha because he wants Holly to return the diamonds she stole from him.

Portia wants to make Lucas the scapegoat for Sam’s death. Dr. Ganon tells Portia that Lucas preformed a textbook surgery that she will remain sober and didn’t make a mistake, so she shouldn’t blame him for Sam’s death. Sonny and Olivia are there to support Dante as he begins to face life without Sam.

Alexis tells Curtis that she will not lose her sobriety because it is the way she will honor Sam’s memory.

Michael and Sasha decide to keep their drunken one-night-stand a secret. Michael arrives home and Willow tells Michael she loves him and she asks him to forgive her for her one kiss with Drew. Michael asks Willow if there is anything else she needs to tell him. Willow doesn’t tell him about the second kiss with Drew. Michael tells Willow he is sure that they can get past this because their family is what matters.

Drew gives Cody $50,000 to not say anything more about Willow and him kissing.

Alexis and Jason are stunned when Lucas and Portia tell them that Sam had a heart attack and died. Elizabeth tells Jason that they don’t know what caused the heart attack but they will be conducting an investigation. Jason says goodbye to Sam and the audience sees a montage showing important moments in Jason and Sam’s relationship.

Michael and Sasha wake up in bed together after a night of too much drinking. Sasha tells Michael she knew about Drew and Willow kissing twice. Michael only knew about one kiss, so he asks Sasha about the second kiss. Sasha tells him the second kiss happened when Congressman McConkey died. Sasha tells Michael Willow felt badly about the second kiss but emotions were high and it just happened but Michael thinks Sasha chose to kiss Drew a second time.

Sasha feels badly for breaking Willow’s confidence and sleeping with Michael. Michael tells Sasha the only one to blame for this is Drew. Willow tells Drew that she is going to tell Michael the whole truth because it is the only way she has to save her marriage. Drew thinks Willow will hurt Michael more if she tells him the whole truth.

Sam tells Alexis that Dante asked her to get married and shows her the ring Dante gave her. Alexis gives Sam a hug and tells her it’s about time Dante gave her a ring. A few minutes later Alexis goes out to the nurses station with a serious look on her face. Jason sees her and sends Danny and Scout to get something to eat. Alexis tells Jason she doesn’t know what happened, but Sam suddenly started having trouble breathing and the doctors kicked her out of this room.

Portia and Lucas try their best to revive Sam but after thirty minutes of doing CPR and using the defibrillator paddles a stunned and heartbroken Lucas must pronounce a time of death on his sister.

Isaiah tells Laura and Lucky that Lulu’s surgery went well and now they just have to wait and see if Lulu’s body will accept the liver.

Mac persuades Cody not to leave Port Charles just because he found out that Sasha is his cousin.

Sasha tells Holly she was never there for her when she needed her the most and it is too late for her to try and be her mother now.

Nina tells Willow what happened with Cody and Drew at the bar and advises Willow to tell Michael the truth now before he finds out some other way.

Ned gets video of Cody and Drew’s fight at the bar and he and Tracy plan to blackmail Drew so that Michael doesn’t find out the truth. Ned and Tracy tell Drew he must vote with Ned on every ELQ decision. Drew refuses and tells Michael (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) that he and Willow kissed on the fourth of July and Willow tells Michael that the kiss meant nothing and that she still loves him. Michael doesn’t say a word to Willow and just walks out on Willow while she is crying in Nina’s arms.

Sasha goes to a bar to drown her sorrows and forget for a little while that Cody is her cousin.

Curtis and Portia consider sending Trina away but Curtis tells Portia that he will make Heather leave town.

Molly argues with her father because he won’t drop Ava’s case. Ric insists that he took the case to prove to her that what happened to her baby was an accident.

Holly asks Sonny to help her discreetly and privately sell some diamonds because she needs to leave town. Sonny tells Holly he doesn’t deal with diamonds and, if he does this, he wants to get 30% of the money. Holly tells him she needs time to consider his deal.

Anna calls Jason and tells him that Interpol has spotted James Sidwell in Miami. Anna also tells Holly about Sidwell and offers to help her if Holly tells her what she took from Sidwell. Holly doesn’t say a word and refuses Anna’s offer of help.
