Theresa talked to Victor’s portrait about how she couldn’t be with Brady. It’s always disastrous when they were together. She felt like she would be better with Alex. Theresa apologized out loud about making Alex Victor’s son instead of Xander. Bonnie walked in while she was talking to the portrait. She wanted to know how she screwed Xander over. Theresa told her about Xander shooting Konstantin and ran out of the room. Bonnie was suspicious of what she said. Leo was walking in the town square and ran into Theresa. They introduced themselves. He wanted an interview with Theresa about Konstantin, but she refused to give it to him. She got annoyed with him. Leo wondered why Konstantin took her hostage and said there was an enemy among the Kiriakis’ midst. Theresa was about to leave when Leo asked her about Alex. He wondered if she had any tips on how to get a fortune. They joke for a few minutes until she tells him that she’s not with Alex for the money. Maggie woke up and was horrified by what happened with Konstantin. She hoped that he was in prison. Sarah told her that Konstantin was dead. Maggie wanted to know what happened. Xander walked in and said he happened. He told her what happened in the backyard. She wondered if Konstantin was really gone. He told her everything else and she realized Xander didn’t have a choice but to do what he did. Xander said he had a choice. He killed him out of rage for everything that Konstantin did. Xander didn’t have to shoot or shoot to kill, but he did. He knew she cared about him once. Maggie let him know that she despised him. She wished she were the one who killed Konstantin. Thankfully he wasn’t charged for what happened. She thanked him for always being there for her. Maggie apologized for the way Victor treated him. She thought he treated him the way he did because he reminded him of himself. Maggie said he was closer to Victor than his sons.

Bonnie and Sarah talked about Maggie and Konstantin. They shifted gears and talked about Sarah’s search for Xander’s mother. Sarah didn’t hear from her. Her phone rang and she thought it was Xander’s mother. The woman who called had the number for years, but wasn’t his mother. Chad and Julie talked about whether Abby was really alive. He wanted answers immediately. She reminded him that it’s Juneteenth. Chad called a bank manager to see if they could get in when they got a surprise. Jack showed up when they were about to leave. He wanted to feel closer to Abby since it’s the anniversary of Abby’s death. Jack wanted to make sure Clyde never got out of prison. He wondered if Clyde said anything about Abby. Chad felt awkward and Jack realized that he and Julie were hiding something from him. Jack overheard them talking about a box and keeping something from him and Jennifer. Julie showed him the time capsule and tried to distract him with the kids. Chad wanted to get to Chicago and didn’t know how to explain it to Jack. Jack came downstairs and got upset that he found out about Abby being alive through Thomas. He knew what Chad meant and felt Abby’s presence.

Alex and Theresa were together at the Kiriakis mansion. He wondered what Konstantin meant when he said she was a thorn in his side ever since he got to town. She tried to play dumb and blame it on his craziness. Theresa didn’t think he liked her. Alex wasn’t sure if that was it. She thought they should get something to eat. Paulina read the comments about her online when Abe arrived. He wanted her to take the night off. Abe reminded her that their anniversary was the next day. Paulina forgot about it and apologized for forgetting. He wanted to ignore the world and focus on each other. They looked at their wedding album and she remembered Lani turning herself in for shooting TR. Tomorrow was Juneteenth too and they were throwing Chanel and Johnny a going away party. Nicole was working with Jude by her side. She apologized when Eric walked in the room. Nicole wouldn’t have had Jude there if she knew Eric was working late too. He was fine with it. Eric wanted to put a post in the paper by morning so he could get rid of Sloan. They talked about the post he wanted to put in the paper and talked about him hiring EJ as his lawyer. Nicole wanted to have a little fun with the post he wanted to write. EJ arrived at the mansion and wanted to talk to Stefan about working with Kristen to steal the CEO position at DiMera Enterprises. Stefan told him that he believed the envelope belonged to him. EJ didn’t know what was in the envelope and wondered what he was talking about. Stefan told him about the DNA results. He knew EJ wasn’t Jude’s father. EJ snatched the results out of his hand and said he forgot about them. Stefan laughed at him for keeping the results in the safe. He thought EJ sounded convincing, but he didn’t seem shocked that he wasn’t Jude’s father. EJ thought it was laughable so Stefan offered to get another DNA test done. He snatched Stefan’s phone. Stefan told him that Nicole would leave him for Eric if she knew the truth about the baby. EJ warned him to keep quiet. Stefan agreed for a price. He wanted Gabi out of prison. EJ reminded him that he’s not the DA anymore. He told him to get his job back. Stefan reminded him that he could stay motivated since he didn’t have anything else to do. EJ said he started a recall campaign to get Paulina out as mayor. Once she was gone, he would appoint someone as DA who would do what he wanted. Stefan wanted Gabi out now. EJ started yelling at him when Nicole arrived. He had to go out to run an errand. Nicole demanded to know what the fight was about.

Brady and Alex ran into each other at the pub. He was surprised Ales wasn’t with Theresa. Brady was about to leave when Alex stopped him. He wanted to clear the air. They discussed Theresa’s plan to make him jealous with Brady. Alex admitted that he did the same thing with Kristen. He realized that he wanted to be with Theresa. Alex wondered if Brady was okay with it. Brady admitted that he was fine with it. His relationship with Theresa never worked so he thought they would be happy together. Eric arrived to talk to Brady after Alex left. They talked about what happened at the Kiriakis mansion. Eric was sure Theresa would get back on her feet. Brady wondered how Eric was holding up. He wondered if Eric was okay with Nicole working at the paper. Stefan closed the safe and Nicole wondered why EJ left. He wasn’t sure, but he thought it had something to do with Kristen getting the CEO position. Abe and Paulina were about to get another glass of wine when there was a knock on the door. EJ was at the door. He agreed to have the petition withdrawn, but he wanted something in return.

Jada and Kayla talked about Everett’s DID. She never knew anyone who had it. Jada wanted to understand what Bobby was going through since they were married. She got a call about the shooting at the Kiriakis mansion. Kayla started to panic. Sarah wanted John’s help, and he pulled the gun on her and Steve. Steve’s phone rang which made John snap out of it. John helped Steve while Sarah told Kayla what happened. Marlena talked to Stephanie about Abby’s situation with DID. She let her know that Abby was able to deal with the two personalities. John showed up at the hospital. He told Marlena and Stephanie what happened at the Kiriakis mansion. John told them that Steve was okay, but he was in the hospital. Kayla and Stephanie went to Steve’s room. He told them how he got shot. Steve told them about Konstantin’s lies and murders. The plan went haywire. Stephanie left them alone and Kayla yelled at Steve. She couldn’t believe he didn’t know that Konstantin would fight back. Kayla wanted him to let her know that he got mixed up in a dangerous situation. He felt better keeping her out of it. Kayla got upset and told him that he doesn’t treat her like a partner. Alex went off because Xander could have hit Theresa. Xander reminded him that he was an excellent marksman. He asked Alex if he was supposed to let Konstantin choke her in front of them. Theresa wanted to make sure Konstantin was dead. Brady confirmed that he was. Brady and Xander thought about Konstantin’s last words about an enemy being in their midst. They figured it was the person who helped him kidnap Victoria. Theresa looked uncomfortable as Xander talked about the person in the hoodie who took Victoria. Jada showed up while Xander and Sarah talked about Konstantin’s body. Brady told Jada that Xander killed Konstantin. Jada wanted the weapon. She wanted answers about what happened. Brady told her what happened. Xander told her that he shot him to save Theresa, but Alex and Brady told her that he didn’t care about her life.

Xander couldn’t believe Alex and Brady threw him under the bus. He saved Theresa’s life and they tried to get him arrested. Jada said everyone could go but Xander. She needed a statement from him. Xander sarcastically thanked his family for backing him up. Brady texted John telling him that Konstantin was dead because Xander shot him. John told Marlena that he didn’t regret that Konstantin was dead. Marlena said that Konstantin’s reign of terror was over. John told her that it wasn’t quite over yet. He told her about the card and how he almost shot Steve. Marlena tried to assure him that he would never shoot Steve. They had to work to get him out of Konstantin’s spell. He was afraid it wasn’t enough. She believed she could free him from Konstantin’s brainwashing. John wasn’t sure since he killed Konstantin’s daughter. He felt like the best thing to do would be to leave Salem. Brady helped Theresa. She was surprised he helped her because of what happened that morning. She apologized for hurting him. He reminded her that she’s the mother of his child and he would always care about her. Jada and Xander finished the interrogation when Sarah showed up. She thought the police would charge him. He doesn’t know if the police will buy him trying to save Theresa’s life or was he getting revenge. Sarah wanted to know which one it was. He told her about Konstantin choking Theresa. Xander didn’t regret killing him. He wished he found out who helped him kidnap Victoria. Marlena told him that he couldn’t run away. He wanted to pay respect to Katarina’s grave. John wanted to do it alone.

Maggie didn’t want Konstantin to say anything while John pointed his gun at him. She told him off about deceiving her for so long. Xander got upset when it came out that Konstantin had Victoria kidnapped. Konstantin said everyone was a hypocrite. He reminded them that Victor wasn’t a saint. Konstantin told them that he got his revenge by sabotaging Victor’s plane. He admitted to sending him to a watery grave. Sarah arrived and wondered what happened. Maggie called Konstantin a liar. She knew he was going to kill her. Sarah was shocked by what she heard. Maggie didn’t believe Victor was taken out by a man like him. She thought he just wanted to hurt her, but he couldn’t hurt her more than she was. Maggie couldn’t believe she allowed her husband’s killer into her house. Konstantin didn’t think she was ever going to marry him. She said she would have until Steve and John got through to her. John and Steve were about to take him away, but Maggie wanted to know about Victor’s final days. They deserved to know the truth. What took so long to get revenge for his daughter’s death? There’s a flashback of Konstantin and Victor. He gave Victor a chance to redeem himself. They talked about Bo being in a coma. Victor talked to him about accidentally taking his wife and daughter and regretting it. Konstantin didn’t want an apology. Victor decided to make a new will and would leave him something in it. Konstantin wanted him to draft the will immediately. After the flashback, Konstantin told everyone that he would only collect after Victor died. He said that Victor screwed him over because he changed his will again before getting on the plane.

Konstantin flashed back to walking in on Theresa reading the will. After the flashback, Konstantin wished he could have seen Victor’s face when he plunged to his death. Maggie started crying while he kept talking. She snapped at him when he said Victor cared more about money than her. After she yelled at him, she collapsed. John and Steve arrested Konstantin. Bonnie and Sarah took Maggie upstairs. Sarah let her know she had an adrenaline crash. Maggie wanted to know about Victor’s life that she overlooked the red flags. Bonnie told her that she was the victim. Maggie felt stupid. He got his way because she always sees the best in people. Konstantin faked a coughing attack and grabbed Theresa as his hostage. He pulled a gun out and started shooting as he left the room. Just as he was leaving Steve shot Konstantin in his side. John assured him that he would be okay. Alex and Brady went after Konstantin. Brady grabbed his father’s gun. Steve wondered how he got hit. Xander told Sarah, Maggie and Bonnie that Steve was grazed, but he would be okay. He said they needed Sarah’s help. Maggie noticed that Steve’s wound was more than a graze. Konstantin dragged Theresa outside. She called him evil. He shot her uncle. She wished she didn’t get involved with him. Konstantin reminded her that she set everything in motion. She said he took charge ever since. They kept arguing while Alex arrived. Alex said Steve was okay unlike his father. Konstantin started laughing. He told Alex that he was mistaken. Alex wanted to know what he meant by that. He confessed to killing Victor, but he wasn’t his father. Steve wanted John to stop Konstantin. John refused to abandon his father. He felt like the bullet was meant for him. John looked at the pawn card and flashed back Katarina and flashing back to being his pawn the first time. Sarah examined Steve and said he was fine. Theresa told Alex not to listen to Konstantin. Before Konstantin could finish talking, Brady showed up with a gun. He warned him to drop the gun or Tate would grow up without a mother. Maggie felt like she lost Victor again. She wanted to do the right thing. Justin and Bonnie wondered who the accomplice was that helped Konstantin. Xander arrived while Konstantin, Theresa and Brady were arguing. He took Brady’s gun and said he had to deal with him. Xander wanted to make him pay for what he did. He kidnapped his child and wanted to make him pay. Xander wanted to know who helped Konstantin. Theresa elbowed Konstantin in the stomach and tried to get away. He pulled her to the ground. Konstantin said he was a pain ever since he arrived in Salem. He started choking Theresa until there was a shot. There was a shot of Xander pointing the gun at him.

Melinda was shocked when Rafe decided to arrest her. He told her that she lied to him about Jude and that she was involved in what happened to Jude. Melinda scoffed at him until he told her that he found out the truth from Eric. She explained that the help she provided for Sloan was under client/attorney privilege. Rafe told her that she was going with him to get booked. She tried to stop him, but he told her that she was criminal. Rafe let her know that she would be punished. Melinda had a card up her sleeve. She told him that she could help Gabi. He froze where he stood. Rafe wondered what that had to do with Gabi. She told him about the new evidence about Gil and Gabi. Melinda informed him that she had the book. She knew he wouldn’t want anything to happen to the book. He couldn’t believe she was blackmailing the commissioner. Melinda said even if she knew about the kidnapping, Sloan was the one who kidnapped Jude. If he ever wanted Gabi out of prison, he would tell people that she wasn’t near the baby. Leo couldn’t believe EJ wanted to keep the truth about Jude a secret. He wondered why he paid him so much money. EJ decided to come clean with Leo. He said he didn’t want Nicole to find out the truth about Jude until he was certain about him. He didn’t want her to get her hopes up. Leo didn’t believe him. He wondered why EJ would pay him to keep quiet and not ask him about the truth. EJ said Leo always tells things so the money was insurance. He left with Jude. Nicole wanted to call the cops on Sloan. She was about to run out when Eric showed up at the mansion. Eric demanded to know why Sloan was at the mansion. Nicole told him that Sloan wanted to call a truce, but she didn’t want to do that. She called Rafe and left a message for him to arrest Sloan. Eric told Sloan that she would pay for what she did. Sloan said there wasn’t a worse punishment than losing him. She wanted Eric to forgive her. Sloan told him that she did what she did out of love. Eric went ballistic when she said that. She said that wasn’t the entire story. Sloan flashed back to her conversation with EJ. EJ arrived home and wondered why Sloan was there.

Nicole told EJ that Sloan was there to apologize and said there was more to the story. EJ escorted Sloan out of the mansion. He demanded that Eric stay and get Nicole ice for her hand. Sloan told Eric that she loved him. EJ and Sloan went outside and reminded her they had a deal. He paid a lot of money for her to disappear. EJ warned to make her life miserable if she said anything to Eric. Sloan didn’t want to live in fear. She thought she could convince Nicole to forgive her and understand what she did. He warned her to take the money and disappear. Eric told Nicole that Melinda was involved in the kidnapping. They talked about Jude and he admitted that it was hard to be around Jude. He wanted to catch up to EJ to make sure Sloan was taken care of. Stefan and Kristen talked about Melinda screwing him when he wanted to reopen Gabi’s case. They needed more evidence for Gabi’s case. Stefan said Kristen had to figure out how to get Melinda to play fast ball if she wanted the DiMera CEO position. She suggested that Stefan seduce her to get her to talk. He hated the plan. Kristen reminded him that his passion for Gabi didn’t stop him from sleeping with Ava. He tried to deny it, but she didn’t buy it. She told him that Ava told her the truth. Roman and Kate talked about what happened to Eric. He was devastated that Eric got hurt like that. Leo walked in the pub and Roman wasn’t happy about it. Leo wasn’t sure what he did wrong so Roman told him. He let Leo know that he wasn’t welcomed there because he kept the truth about Jude from everyone. Kate wondered if he stole the baby. He denied stealing the baby. Leo told him that Sloan was a liar and that no one could believe what she says about him. He walked out of the pub. Melinda told Rafe that he could arrest her if he wanted to do it, but he wouldn’t get what he wanted. She hoped Gabi would understand he was more concerned about her than he was about getting his sister out of prison. Rafe hesitated, but he agreed to her terms. He warned her to keep her word, or he would lock her up for good. Eric found EJ on the ground alone. He woke him up and EJ told him that Sloan hit him over the head. EJ sent Eric in the opposite direction to look for Sloan. Sloan approached EJ and thanked him. He told her to leave and never come back.

Theresa saw Stefan at the Bistro. She happily let him know that she was moving into the Kiriakis mansion with Alex. There’s a shot of Alex and in bed with Kristen. Alex got a call and he assumed it was from Maggie wondering where he was. Kristen informed him that EJ is waiting to find a chink in the Titan armor. Alex wasn’t worried. His phone went off again and he realized he was late for an appointment. He got out of bed. Harris let Ava know that the ISA cracked the code in Clyde’s book. The ISA was tracking the dealers they uncovered. There were local dealers involved. Harris was confident they would find Clyde. Ava wanted to go with him, but Harris refused to let her go.

EJ was with Jude and he introduced him to Alex and Kristen. Alex rushed off. EJ told Kristen about Sloan kidnapping Jude. She didn’t believe Sloan kidnapped Jude alone. EJ just told her what he knew about it. He wanted to use his resources to track her down. Kristen reminded him that his sources didn’t find Clyde. She wondered if he was losing his magic touch. He didn’t want to hear that from her. Ava told Lucas that Harris wanted them to stake out the post office to watch Goldman. They wore disguises while they waited for Goldman. Ava wore a big hat and glasses while Lucas dressed as a monk. He didn’t think he blended in. Ava thought people would talk to a monk before they talk to a cowboy. She wanted him to look out for Goldman while she went around the post office. Lucas bumped into Goldman. Harris saw a man named Snake and showed his badge. Snake ran off. Ava came out of the post office and saw Lucas with Goldman. He sprayed Goldman with bear spray. They took Goldman away.

John and Marlena had gifts for Jude. They wondered if Eric was with him so Marlena decided to give Eric a call. Eric was in his bed and didn’t want to answer the phone. He texted her to say that he couldn’t meet her. Marlena believed something was wrong. Jada met with Steve at the pub. They talked about the station being short staffed since Harris went on leave. She mentioned how Harris went on leave again. Steve wondered where he and Ava went. Jada thought he was worried about something else. He admitted that he was worried about Stephanie. Lucas followed Ava and Harris to a rustic motel. He felt like a third wheel with Ava and Harris. Harris reminded him that they were there for Clyde. He brought him there as a lookout and a driver. Marlena and John went to Eric’s place. Eric cried and told them what happened with Sloan and Jude. They wanted to know what they could do for him. He wanted to be alone. Eric promised not to drink. Jada tried to downplay Everett’s arrest when Steve mentioned it. Since she and Stephanie were involved with Everett, he wanted to know if Everett was dangerous. She said he never hit her. Jada didn’t think he would hurt Stephanie. Steve felt like Jada wasn’t telling him something. She said that Stephanie what she’s getting into.

Lucas wondered why Harris didn’t call the FBI on Clyde. Harris wanted to deal with Clyde himself. He told Lucas that a librarian identified Goldman. Clyde was spotted in town too, but it was a false lead. Lucas wondered if Clyde had the local police in his pocket. Harris believed if they followed Goldman, they would find Clyde. Lucas thought they would turn him in when they find him. Harris confirmed he would do it. John and Marlena force Eric to eat at the town square. He wasn’t hungry so he didn’t eat. Marlena stopped Everett when he walked by. She told him they were looking for him. He said he was walking around. Marlena wanted him to tell her what happened. Everett got defensive as he said he didn’t remember punching Eric. He apologized to Eric for what he did. Everett thought he was hurting Sloan. Eric stormed off. Marlena asked Everett to let her help him. Steve called Ava and told her that he wanted to be involved in the search for Clyde. She was worried that Clyde would get tipped off if too many people were involved. He told her where Goldman could be. John comforted Eric in the square. He talked to Eric about having to give him and Sami up when they were young. John talked about staying in their lives and loving them. The pain went away over the years. Eric was glad John made the choice to stay in their lives, but he didn’t want to make Nicole’s life hard.

Rafe went to Black Patch with a file on Clyde’s book. He hoped John and Steve could get the ISA to decode the book. Rafe thought the outside of the book could be the key to Gabi getting out of prison for Li’s murder. Rafe thought Gil was the one who killed Li. Harris arrived at the pub. Ava wanted to unbutton his uniform, but he wanted to focus on finding Clyde. She told him about her theory that Gil killed Li while looking for her. Ava didn’t want to tell Wendy and her family that Li died because of her. They had closure and she had to open up old wounds. Nicole wanted Eric to explain how Jude could be her son with EJ. EJ pretended to be concerned. Eric told them about Sloan’s confession. She remembered the first time she held Jude. She realized that she had a feeling he was her son. Eric looked at her with tears in her eyes. He apologized for everything, but Nicole told him that he was a victim too. She blamed Sloan for everything. Nicole wanted her arrested. EJ thought there was plenty of time for that. As Nicole went off about Sloan, Holly arrived. She found out that Jude was Nicole’s son. After Rafe left, Steve asked John how far they would go to get Clyde out of their lives. He wanted to take charge in Clyde’s case while John focused on Konstantin. John wondered if there was something he needed to know. Steve wanted to keep a close eye on Ava. He thought she was getting close to him. Steve thought about Ava’s threat to take care of Clyde permanently. John told him about Maggie’s plan to make it look like Konstantin was embezzling money from Titan.

Harris told Ava that his friends didn’t decode the book yet. He had encrypted images for her to send to him. As soon as Clyde opened the images, they would know his location. He wanted to check in with Rafe. Harris went to see Rafe and asked for more time off. Rafe couldn’t give it to him because they have a lot of cases. Harris said he was leaving anyway. Rafe wanted to know if he was okay, and he said he was. Rafe allowed him the time and hoped he had a job waiting for him when he got back. Holly loved the idea of Jude being her brother. She realized that Eric lost his son. Nicole apologized to Eric, but he said it wasn’t about him. He wanted them to be happy. Eric planned to make Sloan pay for what she did. Nicole asked him if he wanted to hold Jude before he left. Eric took him and promised to love him. He gave him back to Nicole. John warned Steve to be careful with Clyde. He wanted to see things through as partners and brothers. John said no one would drive a wedge between them. Nicole and Holly discussed her apology text. Holly didn’t mean the things she said to her. Nicole, Holly and EJ looked forward to their lives together. Rafe met with Eric outside of his apartment. He apologized for everything Sloan put him through. When they went inside, they saw the place was trashed. Everything was gone except the necklace Eric bought her for Mother’s Day. Eric realized that she left.

Sloan told Melinda that EJ wanted her to tell Eric that he and Nicole are Jude’s parents. He wants Eric to lose everything. Sloan told her everything that happened with EJ. Melinda wanted her to keep her name out of it. She didn’t want to lose everything. Jada told Rafe that Everett was arrested. Stephanie told Chad about what happened with Eric and Everett. He wondered how long it took for the police to come. She didn’t understand why the police reacted that way when he was trying to help. Chad wondered if he really was trying to help. Eric talked to Marlena about why he got punched. He thought Everett was trying to protect Stephanie. He had to go and Marlena wanted him to be careful. Sloan couldn’t believe that Melinda was worried about what she would lose. Melinda told her that she was reinstated at the D.A. and thought the situation would ruin her. Sloan had to think of a way to get out of that situation. EJ told Nicole that he was fired as D.A. He reminded her that she wasn’t in any condition to handle the news. Nicole thought about kissing Eric. She felt terrible that she wasn’t there for him. He felt bad that he wasn’t there when she went through her argument with Holly. EJ thought Eric wouldn’t have had to be there. Jada told Rafe that Everett insisted that he was Robert when he got arrested. She thought Marlena could help him. Jada called Marlena to ask her to visit Everett at the station. Marlena told her that she wasn’t seeing him anymore. Jada remembered that Stephanie told her about it. Marlena informed her that she didn’t stop helping him. He decided to quit. Jada asked her to help him anyway. Melinda didn’t know what she could do to help Sloan when EJ was holding the cards. Sloan said that EJ would take her son and she would lose Eric. Melinda told her that she didn’t have a choice. Sloan said Eric and Jude were all she had and needed Melinda to help her. Stephanie defended Everett to Chad. She noticed the look on his face and wanted to know what that was about. Chad told her that Everett had violent tendencies. She insisted that he doesn’t act that way. Chad wondered if Bobby was the one who did it. He thought Everett overreacted to the situation. Chanel and Johnny were going to meet with the doctor about her baby. Holly met with Tate. She told him about the things she said to Nicole. He thought she was being too hard on herself. She informed him about the things she told her mother. Holly didn’t understand why she hurt her mother the way she did. Eric told EJ that she got into another argument with Holly. Maggie was surprised that Konstantin was brainwashing him. John explained what happened when he and Marlena figured out what Konstantin was up to. He let her know that Konstantin wanted him to steal the prenup that she had him sign. John showed her the original version of the prenup. Steve and John informed her that he thought he was getting away with it. John told him that Konstantin told him to steal it. Maggie realized they were telling the truth. Konstantin went to see Sarah and Victoria. He told her that he was going to be her grandfather. Konstantin was happy to have her support. Sarah admitted that he didn’t have it at first. She blamed Alex for what happened with the magazine. Maggie wanted to talk to Alex about it.

Konstantin ran into Theresa at the mansion. Kristen wondered if Stefan was going to let EJ steam roll over him and take the business. Stefan said he had to quit or be fired. He realized that she was pardoned felon. Stefan thought she could be CEO. Kristen liked the idea. They felt like they were going to make a great team. Stefan wanted to take EJ out of DiMera Enterprises. Konstantin threatened Theresa. He warned her to stick with the plan or she would regret it. Stefan figured Kristen wanted the CEO position. She admitted that she wanted it. Kristen wondered what he wanted in return. He wanted her to help him get Gabi out of prison. Maggie met with Alex. She wanted to congratulate him to give him another chance to make the right decision. She wanted him to bring her back to Titan. Maggie knew the company was struggling and she wanted to make it successful the way it was. She thought they could work together. Theresa hated that Konstantin was lying to Maggie. He said he was fond of Maggie. Under different circumstances, the money should have been his. Theresa told him to leave Salem because no one will want to have anything to do with him after what he did to Maggie. He refused to leave Salem until he did what he went there to do. Kristen thought trying to get Gabi out of prison would be insane. Stefan thought she was overqualified for the job. He wanted to know if she wanted the job. Stefan asked her if they had a deal. She said she would think about it. Kristen asked if Gabi killed Li. Stefan said she didn’t. She told him that he had to find the person who killed him.

Holly let Nicole and EJ know that she had her apology letters for Tate and his parents. She wondered how she would give the letter to them. Brady, Tate and Theresa talked about the press conference. Sloan discussed Stefan’s case with him. Brady and Theresa warned Tate to stay away from Holly while they’re at school. Tate didn’t like what they had to say. They informed him they were trying to protect him. Theresa told him they wanted to save him from Holly. Nicole was proud of Holly for writing the letters. She wondered if EJ was ready for the press conference. He felt like it was every prosecutor’s dream to admit he made a mistake. Holly lashed out because she had to deal with another stepfather who happened to be a DiMera. EJ received a call so he told Nicole he would meet her and Holly at the press conference. He knew he could get Stefan out of the company. Sloan informed Stefan about her retainer fee. He couldn’t get access to his money at the moment. She wasn’t confident about their arrangement. Stefan promised to pay her well. He knew she needed him because her practice diminished. She assured him that her practice was flourishing. Sloan wanted him to double her retainer fee. He agreed, but she questioned him about EJ. Stefan knew EJ would double cross him. Tate told Brady and Theresa that he wanted to work at the pub. They were against it, but he tried to convince them to let him do it. EJ went to see Stefan. Stefan wanted someone to help him who wouldn’t send him to prison. EJ wanted him to accept his offer, but Stefan didn’t want to do it. Stefan wanted to get out of jail, but EJ didn’t think he was getting out of jail. Stefan planned to make him pay if he didn’t get out of jail. Nicole and Holly saw Brady, Theresa and Tate so she wanted to leave. Holly reminded her that they were going to run into them. Holly wanted to give them the letters she wrote. EJ presented a plea to the judge. She wasn’t happy about the plea and felt it reeked of nepotism. The judge was appalled by it.

Brady and Theresa read Holly’s letters. Theresa didn’t want Holly around their son. Nicole understood Theresa’s wishes. The judge wasn’t satisfied with the plea EJ gave her. Sloan wanted to approach the judge. She wasn’t impressed with Sloan’s comments. The judge didn’t want Stefan getting off because EJ didn’t want to prosecute him. Sloan continued to plead Stefan’s case. The judge decided to take everything under advisement. Stefan knew EJ deliberately gave the judge a weak plea so she would deny it. EJ didn’t admit to it. Stefan warned him that he didn’t destroy the tape he had. EJ said he could tell who really shot Harris. He reminded Stefan that he signed everything over to him. Theresa was upset that people were making rude comments about Tate. She wanted to talk to the principal about it. Brady assured her it would stop after the press conference. Holly told them everything would be over after the press conference. Later, EJ began his speech at the press conference. Brady demanded to know what EJ meant by his comments. Julie, Johnny and Chanel were at the Horton cabin. They played games with each other and tried to make the best of the situation. Johnny and Chanel let to get air. Julie noticed they were gone for a while. Brady and Theresa were upset that EJ made his comments in front of one person. Nicole spoke for EJ and tried to explain his actions. Theresa didn’t care. Nicole apologized to Brady and Theresa. Theresa didn’t care and wanted to leave. Julie was determined to look for Johnny and Chanel. Johnny came back, but Chanel wasn’t with him. He thought she was with him. Johnny didn’t see her.

Steve apologized to Kayla for working with Ava. Kayla understood and needed to stay mad at him for a day. Tate talked to John and Marlena about Holly. Holly and Maggie discussed what happened. Maggie had to leave and wanted to reschedule their conversation. Holly texted Tate. Everett and Stephanie ran into each other at the town square. He apologized for coming between her and Jada. She assured him that they talked through their issues. Stephanie wanted to know if he still had feelings for Jada. He assured her that he didn’t. Everett wanted to know how he could have feelings for someone he didn’t know. She wanted to know why he wanted to stay married to her and why he wouldn’t sign the divorce papers. He said he wouldn’t sign because he didn’t remember who he was. Stephanie reminded him that he was Robert and he demanded that she never call him that again. Steve tried to get back in Kayla’s good graces, but she reminded him that he was still in the dog house. He wanted to tell her what happened while he was working for Victor. Steve told her about a mission John went on. He let her know that John had to do a mission concerning Konstantin. Steve let her know that Konstantin’s daughter was possibly killed by John. He wanted to forget about it and pretend it didn’t happen. Steve continued to explain what happened while he was John’s handler. He felt like he never dealt with his role in what happened to Katarina. Marlena tried to talk to Tate about Holly when he received Holly’s message. He let them know that he had to meet his friends. Marlena was happy to see John smile. He informed her about his conversation with Harris. John felt that he could forgive himself if Konstantin could forgive him. Konstantin talked to Katarina’s picture and said he would never forgive her murderer.

Steve let Kayla know that he didn’t think Konstantin got over what happened to his daughter. He knew he wanted revenge and suddenly did a 180. Steve didn’t buy it. He felt that Konstantin was scamming Maggie and planned on keeping his eye on him. Stephanie apologized for offending him. Everett apologized to her. He let her know he was going to see Marlena to talk. John met Steve at his place and they talked about feeling free from the past. Everett went to see Marlena. He let her know that he’s struggling and wished he could be someone else. Stephanie and Kayla talked about Everett’s situation with Jada. She hoped Everett figured out what happened. Kayla let her know that he had trauma to his head but there wasn’t a memory loss. She informed Stephanie that she asked Marlena if she thought he was faking. Everett admitted he wasn’t honest with Marlena during his hypnosis session. Steve let John know that they needed to get to the bottom of this thing. He asked John to let him help him. John agreed to let him help. They recapped what happened when Katarina was killed. Steve thought someone else could have been there. Marlena wondered if Everett would be okay with hypnosis. Everett didn’t want to get hypnotized. He felt there are things better left unsaid. Steve and John continued talking about what happened in Greece. They wondered if Victor or Stefano’s henchman were there that night. John suspected Katarina’s mother might have been there. Konstantin let Maggie know that he had to leave Salem.

Brady thought they should work with Nicole and EJ to keep them apart. Theresa was grateful for the way he handled the situation. Maggie wondered how Konstantin and Victor developed a friendship. He explained how they bonded. Maggie let Konstantin know that Victor was part of her second chapter. She talked about the Victor she knew and love. He wanted her to remember Victor the way he was with her. Kayla wanted to know what Steve couldn’t live with. Steve told her that he couldn’t live with Clyde getting away. John let him know they had to go. Julie walked in the room while Maggie and Konstantin were talking. Theresa and Brady hoped Nicole and EJ were on the same page. Harris let them know he was investigating Clyde’s disappearance too. He wanted them to let him know when they found something so they wouldn’t take the law into their own hands. Steve was ready to go. John told Steve that he wanted to talk to Harris a little longer. John wanted to look at Goldman’s personnel file. Harris told him that was against policy. John reminded him that they broke the law. He wanted to ask Harris about a common thing they shared. John wanted to know about Megan brainwashing him. Harris told him that he talked to Marlena to get better. John asked him if he was afraid that the brainwashing could happen again.

Julie and Maggie talked about John killing Konstantin’s daughter. Maggie had to dig deep into her feelings to think about what he does. Julie reminded her about the way Doug was years ago. She let Maggie know that she brought out the best in Victor. Maggie appreciated what she said to her. Brady didn’t hide his surprise that Alex was living with Theresa again. They shifted gears and talked about Victor and Alex being his legacy. Brady thought Victor would be proud of him. Alex congratulated Brady because Tate was exonerated. Konstantin met with Theresa at the town square. He wanted to know about her being with Alex. She told him they were platonic. Steve brought flowers to Kayla. She wanted him to talk to her. Steve hated keeping secrets from her. She wanted answers. He wanted her to sit because it was a long story. Harris explained to John that he had to put the blame on the people who tried to control him. He said John had to forgive himself for what happened. Kayla didn’t understand Steve, John and Ava’s plan. She got upset because he was targeting a terrorist who killed their niece. Alex felt like Brady was more interested in Theresa than he’s letting on. Brady denied it. He didn’t want Theresa to deal with Kristen. Alex thought that Brady wanted to be with Theresa. Brady continued to deny wanting her. He didn’t convince Alex of that. Alex said what went on between him and Theresa would stay between them. Konstantin told Theresa to create an illusion for Alex so he would come after her. Theresa had a plan of her own to get him to be with her. Steve wished he didn’t agree to the plan. He asked Kayla to understand, but she didn’t. She didn’t understand why she worked with Ava in the first place. He told her that he thought his son was going to die. They continued to argue because of Ava. Kayla blamed him for putting their family in danger. She stormed out of the room.

Holly thought she would be grounded. Nicole wanted to make sure her punishment fit the crime. She recapped everything Holly did. Nicole knew she was trying to protect her. Holly said she did try to protect her. Nicole felt like she was protecting herself. Kate didn’t want to give up on freeing Lucas. She reminded him that he helped with Clyde. Kate planned on going to the governor to free Lucas. Nicole wanted Holly to apologize to Tate and his parents for what she did. Holly said she couldn’t talk to Tate because they don’t want her too. Nicole didn’t blame them because she made him lose time. Holly wondered if Nicole forgave her for what she did. Brady and Theresa were grateful Tate was home. He felt like the nightmare was over. Theresa didn’t think Tate would be happy to see her things in his room. She wanted him to sleep in his own bed. Brady offered his bed to her. He said he would stay on the couch and she could stay in his room. Things got awkward when he assumed that she wanted to share his bed with her. Theresa said it was time for her to move out of the house. Holly told Nicole that drugs were everywhere. Nicole wanted to know if she was using before she overdosed. Holly admitted that she drank during the holidays. Nicole couldn’t believe she missed it. She wanted to trust Holly, but she showed her that she couldn’t do it.

Kate didn’t want Lucas to do anything to make Clyde come after him. She warned him that Clyde is all about revenge. He wondered if he wasn’t going to be safe until Clyde was dead. Brady let Theresa know that she could stay with him, but she felt she needed to go. She was happy that they worked on the same side for once. Holly had to give her the phone and her car keys. She refused to give up her phone and keys. Holly wanted her to let her live. She reminded her that she used her phone to become self-sufficient. Holly called her out for being with different men. Nicole was about to slap her, but she stopped herself. She demanded the phone. Holly gave her the phone, but refused to give her the password to it.

Holly let it slip that Eric knew the truth. Nicole wanted to know why she told Eric the truth and not her. Holly knew Eric wouldn’t judge her and thought Nicole would blame herself. EJ wanted Nicole to tell them everything. EJ wondered if Tate was her dealer. Brady yelled at EJ, but Eric wanted him to calm down. Holly reminded Nicole about what happened when she recovered. She knew Nicole would blame herself because she was grieving over the baby. Holly thought it would be too much for her. Nicole comforted her. Tate told Theresa that Holly wasn’t a bad person, but she didn’t believe that. Theresa reminded him that he broke into the DiMera mansion and the DA was after him. Paulina and Abe went to the hospital to see if she’s cancer free. Sarah arrived to give Paulina her test results. Tate wanted Theresa to stop yelling. He didn’t need her getting mad at him on top of everything else. She realized that she shouldn’t lash out at him. Theresa thought Holly should have come forward if she cared about him. Tate believed Holly thought she did the right thing. Sarah told Paulina that she was cancer free. Paulina, Abe and Sarah were excited about the news. Sarah explained everything Paulina would have to do in the future. Brady called Holly out for ruining his son’s life. He demanded that EJ get Tate out of the halfway house immediately. EJ let him know that it wouldn’t be right away. Brady threatened him with a civil lawsuit if he didn’t fix the situation. He stormed out of the mansion. Holly blamed herself for what happened. Eric comforted Nicole after Holly stormed off. Nicole wanted to know how long he knew the truth. He told her that Holly told him that day. Brady arrived at the halfway house and told Tate that he could pack his bags. Tate and Theresa were excited. Brady told them that Justin was going to get the charges against Tate dropped. He let them know that Holly confessed to everything. Brady said that everyone would know that he told the truth all along. Nicole asked EJ if he had the charges against Tate dropped. He said it was a done deal. They talked about how Holly felt about everything. EJ realized that Holly cared about Tate very much. He knew Nicole wondered where Holly got the drugs. She wasn’t sure, but she knew they had to question her about the drugs. Tate was relieved that Holly came through for him. He wanted to call Holly. Theresa didn’t want him to go overboard thanking Holly. He admitted that he told her that she didn’t have to tell the truth about the drugs. Brady couldn’t believe he was going to continue to take the fall for Holly.
