Holly showed up at the hospital and was glad EJ was okay. Her concern touched EJ and he assumed he was back in her good graces. She told him she wasn’t over him lying about Jude’s paternity, but she didn’t want him to die. EJ said what he did was terrible, but he wanted to save his marriage. She said she understood about doing stupid things out of desperation. He said her empathy meant a lot to him. She said him being there for her after she found out the truth about Eric meant a lot to her. Changing the subject, she asked what he was doing about Brady hitting Sarah. He said Brady’s confession wasn’t enough evidence to put him away. EJ wondered if her determination was about justice for Sarah and making Eric pay for killing her father. She said she might have been transferring her anger onto Brady. Eric got a slap on the wrist and now Brady was going to get away with what he did. EJ said he would make Brady pay when more evidence comes to light. She said she would do whatever she could to help him. Since Eric was living a good life with her mother, Brady had to pay for what he did. EJ said he agreed with her. Sophia went to see Tate. She asked if Holly was still ignoring him to which Tate said she was. He said Holly felt she didn’t have a father because of Eric and now his father was responsible for what happened to her aunt. Sophia said Holly was ignoring her too. She said her heart broke for Holly and him. Sophia said if she had a wonderful boyfriend like him she would never push him away. While they were talking Holly showed up. Holly was upset when she noticed Sophia. Sophia told her they were just talking about her. When Sophia left to go to work, Holly apologized to Tate for ignoring him and wanted to hang out the way they used to. Tate said he wanted to hang out with her because he missed her. She asked to use his bathroom and went to Brady’s room where she found his briefcase. Tate walked in and asked what she was doing.

Eric ran into Brady at the pub. Brady said he was doing as good as to be expected and was there to check on Ava since she was attacked. Eric said he didn’t realize they were friends. Brady said they weren’t, but they got closer the night he got drunk. He said she tried to talk him out of drinking, but he didn’t listen. Sarah wouldn’t have been in an accident if he listened to her. Eric told Brady not to keep punishing himself over Sarah’s accident. Brady said he paralyzed Sarah. Eric said it was an accident and she would find a way to have a good life and he would too. Brady asked how he was supposed to have a good life after what he did to Sarah. He said he may not pay in court, but Xander was going to make sure he paid for what he did. Xander almost hit him with a bat until Fiona stopped him. Eric said Xander didn’t have the right to take the law into his own hands. He said Brady made a mistake, but Xander didn’t have the right to come after him. Eric thought Fiona kept him out of prison to Xander out of prison. Brady admitted that he and Fiona were sleeping together. Eric wondered what he was thinking. Brady said he was drinking and didn’t know she was Xander’s mother. He changed the subject to Holly. Eric said Tate told her the truth about Daniel before he had a chance to. He said Holly felt betrayed by him and Nicole. Brady said Holly needed time to process what happened and would come around. He said he needed to go to an AA meeting and left. EJ showed up and wondered if Eric was upset about Brady paralyzing Sarah which made him relive what he did to Daniel. Eric said Holly was hurt, but she would get over it. EJ said Holly wouldn’t want anything to do with Nicole since she was a liar and Eric was a drunk who killed her father. He said Holly would never trust Eric and Nicole again. Xander talked to Sarah about Brady getting away with what he did. She said she understood, but he was obsessed with getting revenge. Sarah said they needed to focus on their daughter. She said she wanted him to forgive and forget for their daughter’s sake. Xander said he would do anything to help her be there for their daughter, but he would never forgive Brady. While they were talking, he got texts from someone. He said he had business to tend to at Titan. Sarah was suspicious since the last time he tried to attack Brady with a bat. Xander promised he wouldn’t go after Brady. He met with someone at the park and gave him an untraceable gun. The man left and ran into Brady at the town square. When Brady tried to walk away, the man stopped him.

EJ told Paulina that she would look like a fool if she fired him because no one would be as good as he was. Paulina said she would replace him with Melinda. EJ said Melinda was gone and possibly had her fill of politics. Paulina reminded him that he stole a baby to which he said he allegedly stole a baby. He said they were in-laws who didn’t need the scandal, but she said if Stefan was right about what he knew, she couldn’t save him. Jada went to Connie’s apartment with another officer. When they went in the apartment, they saw blood on the floor. Jada followed the blood on the floor and saw the cardboard of Li in Connie’s room. While in Connie’s room, she noticed the ropes on the bed frame and figured out that Connie held someone captive. When Jada and the police officer searched for evidence, they found Melinda’s pocketbook. They wondered if Melinda was there and if so where was she. Jada put out an APB on Connie and Melinda and wanted to find out what Connie did with Melinda. Connie had a knife in her hand and confessed to Gabi that she stabbed Rafe. A shocked Gabi said it wasn’t true because Everett was the one who stabbed Rafe. Connie said Bobby asked her to take care of Rafe so he could be with Jada. Gabi decided to keep Connie talking while she tried to get her phone. When Gabi accused Connie of killing Bobby, Connie said she did because he was going to snitch on her. Gabi asked Connie what she did. Connie admitted to killing Li. She told Gabi that she framed her by sending her a text the night Li died. Connie said Gabi was stupid enough to fall for her trap then and to fall for her trap now. A curious Gabi asked why Connie framed her. Connie said she hated the way Gabi and Stefan treated Li and played with his emotions. She said she loved Li and had a great date with him. If it weren’t for Gabi, they would have had a wonderful life together. Thanks to Gabi’s actions, Li couldn’t fall in love again. Connie said she tried to convince Li to love again, but Gabi ruined him. She said Gabi was the one who deserved to die.

When Connie tried to attack Gabi with the knife, Gabi got out of the way. Gabi grabbed the knife and ran, but Connie went after her. Connie caught up to Gabi and dragged her into the wine cellar where Melinda was tied up. She tied Gabi up to a chair and took Melinda’s gag off. Melinda wanted to know where they were. Connie told her they were at the DiMera wine cellar. Since Melinda was still alive when she tried to kill Gabi, Connie decided to kill them together. Melinda asked why Connie didn’t kill her when they were in the apartment. Connie said she would never ruin her and Li’s love nest by killing her. She said she and Li would be together as soon as she killed Melinda and Gabi. Melinda told Connie that she didn’t want to kill again because LI didn’t want her to kill again. Connie appreciated her concern, but she could kill them both and get away with it. Melinda said the police would look down there eventually, but Connie said they wouldn’t find anything because the two of them and everything else in the house were about to be incinerated. Rafe tried to call Gabi, but she didn’t answer. Jada showed up and told him Connie wasn’t found, but might have had something to do with Li’s murder. She told him what she found in Connie’s apartment. Jada called and found out Gabi didn’t go to work. Rafe hoped Gabi took the day off to be with Stefan, but Jada said they split up because Stefan cheated on her with Ava. Paulina went to Connie’s apartment and talked to the police officer. The officer told her that Connie held Melinda hostage, but they haven’t found Melinda or Connie. Paulina saw the cardboard of Li in Connie’s bed. Ava told Stefan that she wasn’t taking the job at the Bistro because she knew he and Gabi would make up. Stefan said Gabi could rot for all he cared. Ava said he would take her back if she apologized. While they were talking, he got a call from Gabi which he ignored because he thought she was rubbing it in that she was sleeping with EJ. He tried to entice Ava to work with him at the Bistro and offered her a manager position. She decided to take the job. When they went to the Bistro, Ava said she wasn’t sure about taking the job because Gabi wouldn’t like it. Stefan said Gabi was dead to him. Ava said Gabi may be out of his life, but she went through this with Rafe and Harris so she was prepared for Stefan to go back to Gabi. Stefan said that wouldn’t happen because Gabi was with EJ that morning. EJ showed up and saw Stefan and Ava together. He thought Stefan assumed he would be in jail since he told Paulina that he stole Nicole’s baby. EJ reminded Stefan that Gabi came on to him. Stefan asked EJ about what happened that morning. EJ said there was no this morning to which Stefan said that wasn’t what Gabi told him. He told Stefan that Gabi lied to him about what happened.

Abby talked to Mark on the phone and told him Steve wouldn’t be as easy to fool as everyone else. Before she could get caught on the phone, Chad called out her name which allowed her time to get off the phone. She told him she was ordering food. When Chad said he heard her say she was freaking out, Abby came up with a lie to get out of what she said. Changing the subject, she told Chad about her conversation with Steve. Chad said he was surprised he didn’t come over sooner to see her with his own eyes. He let her know that people were going to be suspicious of her because it was too good to be true. She asked if he felt that way. He said he felt like it was the miracle he prayed for everyday since she left him and everyone loved her including him. While they were talking, he showed her their wedding album to see if it would help her memory. She said she was shocked that they were married multiple times. He said they had their share of good and bad times, but always found their way back to each other. When he read his vows to her, she was moved and said no one ever said anything like that to her before. She corrected herself and said not that she remembered before nearly kissing him. Steve told Kayla he didn’t understand why Abby lied to him saying she was on the phone with her. Kayla said it might have been a mistake, but she knew he didn’t believe it was. He said it felt like she was covering up and wondered why she would lie. Kayla wanted him to admit that he didn’t think Abby was the real Abby. Steve told her about catching Abby talking to Stefano’s portrait about her brother. Kayla reminded him about the DNA test which he said have been tampered for years. He mentioned Abby’s facial surgery and asked Kayla to run another DNA test. Kayla said she couldn’t do it because it would be a violation of the HIPPA oath. When she turned him down, he said the only solution was to find Clyde and get answers. Kayla didn’t think it would be a good idea because he might not have told him the truth. Steve said he would finish what Chad started if he didn’t tell him the truth. Kayla wondered how he would get in the prison, He said he would find a way.

Maggie asked Sarah about her session with Marlena. Sarah said it didn’t go well because even under hypnosis she still didn’t remember seeing Brady hit her. While they were talking, they talked about Xander. Fiona stopped Xander from hitting Brady with a bat. She said she had a confession to make. Xander said he wasn’t going to kill Brady. He said he was going to do to Brady what he did to Sarah. Fiona blurted out that she and Brady slept together. A shocked Xander asked why she would do something like that. She told him the underwear he found in her room was Brady’s. Xander still wanted to make Brady pay for what he did. He asked if Brady slept with his mother to pay him back for shooting Marlena. Brady and Fiona informed him that they didn’t know about him until after they slept together. When Fiona implied that she and Brady slept together multiple times, Xander wanted to know how many times they slept together. He asked if she fell off the wagon and landed on Brady. When she tried to protect Brady, Xander told her he hoped she didn’t have feelings for him. Xander said there was nothing Brady could do to make up for what he did to Sarah. He ended up firing Brady. Xander went back to the mansion. Sarah wondered why he had a bat to which he told her he wanted to make Brady pay for what he did. He said his mother stopped him by telling him she slept with him. Brady thanked Fiona for saving his life. Fiona thanked him for not telling Xander that she fell off the wagon. Before he left, he told her they shouldn’t have anything to do with each other. While Abby was looking through the wedding album, she said she couldn’t do this anymore. She got a text message asking her why she hadn’t married Chad yet and what would happen if she didn’t marry him. The message was from Clyde.

Chad met with Stephanie at the park. He apologized for missing Everett’s memorial. She let him know that she and Jada were the only ones at the service. While they were talking, she asked him how he was doing. Chad said it was hard taking the kids back to school without Abby. He said he hoped Abby got her memory back soon. On the subject of Abby, he asked Stephanie about her meeting with her. Stephanie said they had a good time and talked about the past, but something weird happened. She said Abby had a health plan with her mother, but her mother said they didn’t have anything planned. Chad said Abby might have been confused, but Stephanie couldn’t shake the feeling that she was lying. He said Abby might have been confused and thought it was another doctor, but Stephanie wondered who the other doctor could have been. She told him that she and Abby agreed to having dinner one day. He thought it would be good for Abby to be around family because it might help with her memory. Abby talked to Stefano’s portrait and apologized for lying to his son since family meant everything to him. She said it meant everything to her and her brother so she had to do what she had to do. Steve showed up to see her. He said he overheard her saying how family meant everything to her and her brother. Abby said people told her that she was close to her brother. Steve asked if she was talking about J.J. Abby wondered who else she could be talking about. Steve told her about Abe’s memory loss and how he got it back and assured her she would get her memory back too. He told her Kayla was his wife and reminded her that she talked to his daughter. Abby said they had a talk about growing up together. Steve confronted her about the health plan she said she had with Kayla. Abby said Kayla has been a big help. Steve said Kayla told him they haven’t spoken to each other. Abby said she might have mixed the doctors up since she spoke to so many doctors. She said it was hard to keep track of people when she didn’t remember who she was. Steve said he understood and told her he thought he was Stefano before. Abby said she knew people doubted who she was but the test proved she was Abby. Steve said he could imagine how hard it has been for her having her mother not believe her. He said Jack and Jennifer thought they lost their daughter and grieved her. When Steve left, Abby thought he was going to be a problem.

Gabi told Connie that she was taking everything from Stefan and was going to keep seeing EJ. Connie took a knife out of her bag and said he was going to take care of her. Before Connie could finish what she was saying, Gabi got a call. She told Connie to find Melinda because she needed the notes she took for her upcoming line. Connie said Melinda took a leave of absence and left town. At the hospital, Paulina ordered Rafe to wake up. He woke up. Paulina went to get Kayla. Melinda tried to get the ropes off of her as Jada showed up to talk to Connie. Jada heard the noise Melinda was making and let herself in the apartment. Melinda continued to make noise which caused Jada to knock on the bedroom door. When Jada was about to go in the room, Paulina called her to tell her about Rafe. Jada said she would be right there. Kayla took out Rafe’s breathing tube and said she was happy he was awake. Rafe asked what happened .Jada showed up and was happy to see him. When Connie was going to try and kill Gabi, Gabi got a call telling her Rafe was awake. When Gabi showed up at the hospital, she and Jada told Rafe what happened to him. Jada asked if he knew who stabbed him, but he didn’t remember. Gabi and Jada told him that Bobby stabbed him because he wanted Jada back. Connie went to her apartment to check on Melinda. She told Melinda that Rafe was awake. Melinda said she should be worried that he was awake. Connie said he never saw her so there was nothing to worry about. Melinda asked why she was so worried. Connie said her plan wasn’t going well since Gabi slept with EJ. She said there was only one way to make Gabi pay for what she did.

Holly told Eric that it made sense for him to be back in town to support Brady after what he did. While Sarah was sleeping, Fiona attempted to put a pillow over her head. Fiona thought twice about what she was doing, but couldn’t let Sarah remember that she was the one who hit her. Brady yelled at Justin for convincing EJ to drop the charges against him. Ava showed up and joked about him being a fugitive. He let her know he wasn’t in the mood for her jokes. She said she tried to make him feel better. He said getting away with hitting someone made him feel worse. She said she took partial responsibility for what happened since she drank with him when he fell off the wagon. He let her know there was nothing she could have done to stop the destruction. She said she remembered going back to the pub to make sure he wasn’t driving home but he was with a woman with an accent. At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin ran into Xander and let him know that EJ dropped the charges against Brady.

Holly told Eric that she knew he killed her father. Eric said he was going to tell her tonight. She said he had 17 years to tell her. Instead of telling her the truth, Nicole lied to her and everyone went along with the lie. Eric said they were trying to protect her. Holly said her mother was a manipulator. She said she never thought to look into the investigation because she believed the monster who killed her father was dead, but he was living with her all along. Tate told John that he and Holly fought over him standing by Brady. He said he knew what his father did was bad, but he couldn’t turn his back on him. John said he felt the same way. Since Brady didn’t remember hitting Sara, there could be more to the story. John said there was nothing he or Brady could do that would make him stop loving them. Fiona pressed the pillow to Sarah’s face until she heard the doorknob. Xander came in the room with soup. When Sarah woke up, he told her EJ dropped the charges against Brady. Fiona said it was ridiculous since Brady confessed. Xander agreed with her and said Brady didn’t remember what happened which was why it was important for Sarah to remember what happened. Sarah said she couldn’t see the driver’s face. Xander told her to say it was Brady since he confessed to it. Sarah refused to lie and didn’t like that he wanted her to do it. When she didn’t wan to lie, he suggested she get hypnotized. Holly told Eric that she stole her father’s life to which Eric told her wasn’t planned. He said they were a family and Nicole didn’t want to ruin it. Eric also didn’t want her to know what he did because he loved her like a daughter and thought it would ruin their relationship. She said it did because she hated him. When he tried to reach out for her, she told him she would never forgive him. Brady asked Ava if she told anyone about finding him with a woman. She said she didn’t because she was glad that they were walking to the Salem Inn and not driving. He asked her not to say anything about the woman. She asked if the woman was married. He said she was Xander’s mother. She promised not to say anything. Fiona didn’t like the idea of Sarah getting hypnotized, but Xander and Sarah told her Marlena knew what she was doing. Sarah didn’t think Marlena would help knowing it could put Brady behind bars, but Xander thought Marlena would want to do the right thing. Fiona wasn’t sure about that since he shot her. Xander asked how she knew about that. Fiona lied and said she looked him up online. He said he was a better man now and wanted Brady to pay for what he did. Sarah thought they should leave it alone, but Xander couldn’t do that. Eric apologized to Holly and said he didn’t expect her forgiveness. He said Daniel was his friend and he loved him. Holly said she never got a chance to love her father because of him. After Holly stormed off, Eric called Nicole and said he needed to tell her something.

Steve and Kayla were at Stephanie’s place because there was a problem with her plumbing. While they were talking, they got on the subject of Jack, Jennifer, and Abby. Kayla said she spoke to Jennifer and she’s devastated over not believing that Abby is her daughter. She thought Jennifer was afraid of losing her daughter again so she won’t believe it. Steve said DNA test results have been altered before. Kayla said she did the test herself and the only person involved was Mark and she trusted him. Steve wondered if Abby will get her memory back, Kayla said there was a possibility, but she recommended sessions with Marlena. Steve reminded her that he had amnesia and was afraid to remember who he was. He said he was a fool then. Chad ran into Leo at the Town Square. Leo said he thought Chad would be happy now that Abby is back. Chad said Abby didn’t remember anything, but Stephanie was going to see her to see if she remembered anything. He said he wanted to get revenge on Clyde and everyone who kept Abby from him. Leo asked if there were any leads, but Chad said there weren’t. Changing the subject, Leo brought up Everett’s service and how Stephanie was planning it. Chad said she didn’t tell him anything about it. Leo said she told him when he brought her the press release for Body and Soul. When Chad said that went through him, Leo told him about being the new head writer for Body and Soul. Chad congratulated him and asked if he was going to continue being Lady Whistleblower. Leo said he thought he could do both, but he wouldn’t be able to do it. Chad said he was sorry to see him go. Leo let him know that a story on the show may sound like his life so he didn’t want him to be offended. Chad said he should have asked him first, but Leo said amnesia stories were done all the time. When Chad said a DNA test was done, Leo said tests can be faked on soap operas. Chad said his life wasn’t a soap opera.

Abby called Mark and told that since she convinced Chad to move back home with the kids, she could breathe again. She said they had to figure out the next step in their plan. While she was on the phone, Stephanie showed up. Abby told Mark she would talk to him later. After Abby introduced herself to Stephanie, Stephanie told her who she was and how she was related to her. Stephanie brought up how Abby was talking about the next step in her plan. Abby lied about talking to her doctor. When Stephanie realized she was talking about Kayla, she told Abby she was her mother. Abby brought up how Stephanie lived with her husband after she died. Stephanie apologized and said Chad had trouble moving on after her death. Abby said she didn’t have to explain since she was supposed to be dead. Stephanie said Chad never got over her and that was why they didn’t work. She said Chad asked her to come see her to see if it would spark a memory. They talked about the past. Gabi told EJ that she didn’t know why he was nervous when he wanted to get revenge on Stefan. EJ told her she didn’t have to decide right away and had time to think about it before the truth came out. Gabi wondered why he was being nice. He said he had his own heart broken and would do anything to take the pain away. Stefan showed up and found them together. When Gabi tried to explain what was going on, Stefan said he knew what was going on. Stefan said EJ was taking advantage of Gabi and wanted to use her to get revenge on him. EJ said it was more like the other way around. Stefan said Abby convinced him to talk to Gabi and not give up. He asked if they could go somewhere and talk. Gabi agreed to talk to him. When EJ tried to put Gabi’s clothes under a rug, Stefan busted him. Stefan asked if the clothes were Gabi’s. He asked if she slept with EJ and she said she did. Stefan yelled at EJ and hit him. When EJ was about to hit him back, Gabi got in between them. Stefan couldn’t believe she was defending EJ. She said she seduced EJ. When Stefan asked why, she said she hated him and wanted to pay him back for sleeping with Ava. Stefan was upset that she would do this just to hurt him and their relationship. He said she ruined things and hoped she was happy. Stefan said he made a drunken mistake, but she did her act on purpose. Gabi admitted that she did it on purpose. He said he was killing himself trying to make it up to her. Her actions couldn’t be taken back. Gabi asked if that meant he was giving up on them. He said he was. She said when she woke up she might have had second thoughts about her plan and considered lying to him the way he did about Ava, but that would have mad her just as guilty as he was. When EJ came back, she told Stefan that his brother was better in bed than he was. Stefan said they deserved each other and walked out. Abby met with Mark at the park. She told him it was tired of being around the fake family. He told her her real family was there for her. She called him bro and he called him sis.

Abe and Paulina talked about him making Chanel a star. While they were talking about the show, he told her that Johnny and Chanel didn’t know that Alex was auditioning for a role. Paulina told him to let them know before it was too late. Johnny and Chanel talked about the show. Chanel wondered who would be playing her love interest. Johnny didn’t know if he would like the idea of someone else kissing her. When they decided to practice the love scenes, they missed Abe’s call. Alex went to Stephanie’s place and she told him that she got hired for Body and Soul. He told her he was auditioning for the show and thought it would be fun. When he said he was nervous, she offered to run lines with him. While they were rehearsing, things were intense with them, especially when it came to the kissing scene. She told him he did a good job and gave him tips to make his scene better.

Kate asked Roman if she could film the show in the pub. She also wanted to film scenes at the hospital. Hattie went to the Body and Soul office and pretended to be Marlena. Leo fell for it but didn’t want her to trick him again. Bonnie showed up and complained about Hattie’s character having more lines than her character. Hattie informed Bonnie that her character was the star of the show. Bonnie went to the pub to talked to Roman about Leo not caring about her issues with the show. She wanted to talk to Kate about Leo and Hattie. Hattie showed up and wondered if she was talking to Roman about her. She wanted Roman to decide which one was better suited for the soap opera’s magazine cover. Johnny and Chanel went to the Body and Soul office talking about how soap stars got their start. Chanel wanted to get in character and think about her mystery man. Johnny said she was torturing him. She let him know that he was her only leading man and kissed him. While they were kissing, Alex showed up for his audition. He said he would be her leading man if he got the part. Johnny and Chanel weren’t happy about that.

Brady ran into Tate and Holly at the hospital. They were there because Tate got in an accident at the beach on Smith Island. Brady was shocked to see Tate on crutches and with Holly. Tate confessed about staying at the cabin instead of going to lacrosse camp. Maggie told Sarah it was okay to be angry about the accident. Sarah said Xander was angry for the both of them and asked her how she dealt with not being able to walk. Maggie told her she learned to live a new normal and suggested that Sarah not give up. Jada told Xander that they had a suspect, but she couldn’t tell him the name. Xander demanded to know who it was. Jada said she understood that he was upset, but she was going to find the person who hit Sarah. Xander apologized for his reaction. Jada said she had to talk to the DA, but he would know something soon. At the DiMera mansion, Kristen told Stefano’s painting that Brady’s car was flat as a pancake. She said she did what she had to to protect her family. EJ walked in and wondered what she did. She said she protected the family legacy by firing Ava because of Gabi. EJ didn’t believe her and suggested that she not talk about her plans to Stefano’s painting. Marlena told John that Brady’s car was stolen, but Jada was trying to piece together a timeline. John thought Jada was connecting it to Sarah’s accident. Marlena said Brady would never hit Sarah and run away unless he was drinking. Brady asked Holly to leave him and Tate alone so they could talk. Tate asked if Brady ever lied because he was scared of how someone would react. Brady flashed back to Kristen telling him she got rid of his car. When Xander showed up, Tate apologized for what happened to Sarah. Xander said the police might have a suspect.

Sarah opened up to Maggie about not being able to keep up with Victoria when Holly came in. Holly said she and Tate was staying at the Horton Cabin. She said she used Maggie’s key to let him in the cabin. Maggie said that was why she couldn’t find the key that night. Holly wondered what night she was talking about. Maggie said Sarah was coming home to help find the key so she and Xander could go on their honeymoon, but she got hit by a car. Holly realized it was the accident was her fault. Sarah let her know that it wasn’t her fault. Holly ran out of the room. EJ assumed Kristen was plotting for Brady. Jada showed up at the mansion so she could talk to EJ about Sarah’s accident. Kristen left the room but eavesdropped on their conversation. Jada told EJ that she connected a car with the accident, but the owner said the car was stolen. Unfortunately without the car, they didn’t have proof. She asked if he wanted to indict anyway. EJ wanted to know who the suspect was. Jada told her it was Brady. EJ told her to arrest him. He let Jada know that his beef with Brady wasn’t a factor and believed he could get a conviction. When Jada went to the door, Kristen asked if she had any leads. Jada said she knew she was eavesdropping and asked if she knew anything. Kristen said she didn’t know anything and walked away. While Tate was pleading his case to Brady, Kristen sent him a text to run because the police were about to arrest him. Brady told Tate he had something to do and left. Holly ran into Tate who told her how weird his father was acting. She told him that they were responsible for Sarah’s accident. When Kristen went back to see EJ, he told her Brady was being arrested for Sarah’s accident. He said he had a feeling she knew that already. At the police station, she called for a search warrant for Brady. Brady showed up and said she didn’t need it.

Jada went to the townhouse to see Brady’s car. Brady wondered why she wanted to see it. She said it matched the description of the car that hit Sarah and they had a partial plate. When she asked to see the car, he told her it was stolen. Kristen saw Chad looking at pictures of Abby and asked where was the woman who claimed to be Abby. Chad said she was Abby and she remembered Clyde stabbing her. Kristen wondered if it was a real memory or if she was a fraud. Chad said the DNA test proved she was a match for Abby. Kristen apologized and said she was trying to protect him. She left the room. Abby met Dr. Green in the park. She told him the mansion was like a mausoleum with a lot of DiMera eyes on her. Since Chad looked at her like a puppy dog, she threw him a bone and said she remembered the night Abby was murdered. Mark said she did the right thing. Abby said she didn’t have a choice, but now she had to keep remembering things if they wanted people to believe that she’s Abby. She thanked him for changing the DNA results and said they made a great team.

Xander told Fiona that the police had a partial license plate and would hopefully find the person who hit Sarah. When Xander talked about Sarah never walking again, Fiona asked if it would change the way he felt about Sarah. Xander said he loved her more than he thought he could love anyone and nothing was going to change that. He was afraid he wasn’t going to be the man she needed to get her through this. Fiona assured him he was strong enough to handle it and was there to help after everything she has done. Xander wondered what she meant by that. She covered by saying she wasn’t there for him when he needed her. Brady lied and told Jada that his car was stolen on the morning of the 14th, the day Sarah was hit. He said he remembered that because it kept him from going to a meeting he had at Basic Black. Brady said he didn’t report it because he was slammed at work covering for Xander. Jada said the person who stole the car could have been the one who hit Sarah. She suggested he file a report at the station. Mark told Abby they needed to talk about the next part of their plan. Before they could talk, Chad showed up. Abby lied and said she was asking him for directions. When Mark left, Chad wanted Abby to talk about the night she was stabbed because it could spark memories. Marlena found Marlena taking pictures of the empty parking space. Jada said Brady told her the car was stolen. She asked Marlena when was the last time she saw the car. Marlena said she saw the car the night of the 14th, but she didn’t see Brady. Kristen showed up to see Brady at the townhouse. She told him she took his car after she saw the damage to his front bumper. Since he looked bad the night she saw him, she figured he was the one who hit Sarah. She told him to remain calm and do what he would normally do. Brady wondered what you would normally do when you hit a family member. She told him to visit Sarah and offer compassion. Brady said he was responsible for Sarah’s condition. Kristen said Theresa wasn’t worth throwing his life away and suggested he get sober and get his life together. She said she would help him for Rachel. When Chad asked Abby about the robe she was wearing when she was killed, she wanted to know if he didn’t believe her. Chad said a lot of people knew the story. Abby reminded him that he was the one who came to her not the other way around. She said she was doing the best she could and if it wasn’t enough, she could go back where she was. Chad apologized and said the stress was getting to him. He said he didn’t care what anyone thought because he was happy that she was back.

At the town square, Johnny ran into Hattie and mistook her for Marlena when she was reading her script. When Hattie told him she didn’t have any kids, Johnny realized she must be Hattie. He told her he was the director of the show. Hattie said she wanted to talk to him about the script because it didn’t sound like her character. Johnny suggested she talk to the writer which was what Hattie was going to do. Leo read Kimberly’s book about D.I.D. and thought Marlena was going through it. He decided to call Marlena so he could have an intervention. Abe and Kate talked about Leo’s script. She thought it was something the show needed. They talked about hiring hot young actors for the show. Hattie went to Leo’s place. She said she needed help rewriting her script. Instead of helping her with the script, he said she should be concerned about her D.I.D. They talked about different cases of the illness. While they were talking, he called her Dr. Evans. Hattie said she wasn’t Dr. Evans. Johnny talked to Chanel at the town square. He told her about his run in with Hattie. When he talked about the show, she said she wished she had an unpredictable job that ran itself. She said she wish pursued her dream even though she doesn’t know what it is. Alex and Stephanie ran into each other at the Bistro. She told him she had a new client. While Alex was talking, he spilled water on Stephanie’s computer. She assured him it was okay. When she left, Justin and Bonnie went over to Alex. Justin said he had something to make him feel better. Alex looked through the annulment papers and was glad his marriage to Theresa was over. Bonnie suggested he get back together with Stephanie, but Alex said they were just friends who weren’t looking for new relationships.

Stephanie went to the Body and Soul office. She told Abe she had a presentation for him but it was destroyed. Abe told her the job was hers if she wanted it. She accepted the job. Johnny looked through Leo’s story ideas and was intrigued by the young couple. Abe told Johnny that he and Kate haven’t found the right actors for the role. Johnny suggested Chanel because she did a great job when she auditioned for his movie. He said she was looking for a creative outlet. All they needed was a leading man with chemistry with her. Alex and Chanel ran into each other at the square. He told her about his annulment papers. Alex said it wasn’t all Theresa’s fault because he ignored the red flags. Chanel said he was driven by his hormones which lead to questionable behavior like him sleeping with her girlfriend. They talked about their threesome and how he slept with Allie when she and Allie had problems. While they were arguing, Abe and Johnny showed up. Johnny said the tension between them was intense. Abe agreed with him. Leo tried to convince Hattie that she was one of Marlena’s alters. When he tried to take her to Bayview, Kate showed up. She told Leo that Hattie was Marlena’s double. Leo apologized to Hattie for trying to get her committed. Kate hired Leo for the job as head writer at Body and Soul. When Kate left, Hattie said she was happy for him because he could change her script.

Steve came in Kayla’s office when she told someone to rush on Sarah’s results. Kayla told him Sarah didn’t have feeling in her legs. After they talked about Sarah, Kayla told him about Abby. She said Abby’s memory loss could be a psychological issue which made it hard to know when her memory would return. At the DiMera mansion, Jennifer couldn’t wait to see Abby. Chad let Jennifer know that Abby didn’t look like herself or remember who they were. Jennifer said she would take her daughter any way she could. Chad left to find out what was taking Abby so long. Abby told someone on the phone that the plan was going according to plan. She told the person she had to go because she was nervous. When Chad knocked on the door, Abby got off the phone. She told him she was on the phone with a nurse from Poplar Bluff. Chad said her parents were downstairs waiting to see her. He confronted her about being nervous and assured her she had no reason to be nervous. She thanked him for being patient with her. Chad let her know he would wait for as long as she needed him to. After Melinda fired Connie, she demanded to go in her apartment to get the laptop and phone. Connie asked if she could have a minute and closed the door. She told the cardboard Li that she didn’t know how to get revenge on Gabi and Stefan if she wasn’t working for Gabi. When Melinda knocked on the door, Connie thought of an idea. When Connie let Melinda in the apartment, she admitted that she lied on her resume because she was desperate for a job. She wanted to tell her side of the story.

Gabi told Stefan and Ava that she knew they slept together. She said Connie overheard Ava talking to Kristen about it. Stefan and Ava said Connie was mistaken. Gabi said it was possible that Connie was mistaken, but Kristen had to be too. She threw her drink in Stefan’s face and told Ava she was out of a job. Gabi said she made Kristen choose between the two and she chose her. Ava walked away. Gabi yelled at Stefan. Abby went down to see Jennifer and Jack. When Jennifer tried to touch Abby, she drew her hand back and said she wasn’t her daughter. Jack and Chad reminded her that the DNA test results proved she was. Jennifer apologized for her behavior and thought she was ready for this. She said she thought she would feel a connection but she didn’t. Jennifer ran out of the room. Abby went upstairs. Chad told Jack they had to do damage control before they drove Abby away for good. When Jennifer came back, she apologized for running away the way she did. Jack told her they should go back to Boston until Abby’s memory came back. Jennifer hesitated at first, but agreed Abby needed room to find herself. Jack said when Abby was ready, she would come to them. Connie told Melinda she had to work for Gabi. Melinda thought she was a fan of hers until Connie said she hated her. Connie told her about her vendetta against Stefan and Gabi breaking Li’s heart kept her from being with him. While Melinda was drinking her tea, she started gasping. Connie told her she put a fast-acting drug in her tea. Melinda tried to find her phone. Stefan told Gabi that he was drunk and missing her. Gabi said she was beat up in prison and put in solitary while he was having sex with Ava. He said it was only one time. Stefan said he hated himself more than she hated him. If she was willing to let him, he would spend the rest of his life making it up to her. Gabi said she didn’t care how bad he felt because it didn’t change what he did. He begged her to talk to him, but she refused to do it. She said their marriage was over.

Maggie defended Brady’s actions since she’s his sponsor. Sarah got a message that Theresa was in Statesville. She thought that was why Brady didn’t show up. Xander thought Brady could have called. Jack went to Kayla’s office. He asked her to do a DNA test on the mystery woman. In the hospital lobby, Chad thanked her for helping them find out the truth. She said she was afraid they were setting themselves up for disappointment. Even if she was Abby, they couldn’t be together because they didn’t know each other. Jack showed up to get them for the test. After Kayla swabbed Jack and the mystery woman, she said she was hungry. Chad said he would take her somewhere. While they were celebrating, Xander said Sarah was the love of his life and she pushes him to be better. He said he wouldn’t have reunited with his mother if it weren’t for her. While they were talking, Fiona got a message from Brady asking her to meet him at the Small Bar. Xander noticed how happy Fiona was. He told her to meet her new friend.

Fiona showed up at the bar as Brady was fighting with a server. She fixed things between Brady and the server. After they sat down, Fiona told Brady about the meeting he missed. Brady said after running into Tate and seeing his father at the hospital, he needed a drink and forgot about the meeting. Fiona said they should get something to drink. While Maggie, Sarah, and Xander were talking about Fiona, the subject of the honeymoon came up. Maggie suggested they got to the Horton Cabin. Sarah said they could go tonight. Chad brought the mystery woman to the DiMera mansion. He said it was where they lived with their kids. She said he assumed it would trigger memories for her. Chad asked if she remembered anything, but she didn’t. She picked up a vase that she liked. Chad said Abby bought it and thought that was why she was drawn to it. The mystery woman thought she could like shiny things. He apologized for pressuring her to remember. She said she understood that he wanted to be with Abby. Jack told Kayla that Jennifer was trying not to get her hopes up, but it was too late for him. He said if it turns out to be a hoax, he would be grieving all over again. Kayla went to check the results. At the bar, Fiona suggested she and Brady go back to her place. Brady said he would love to go but his family needed him. While Xander and Sarah were ready to go to the cabin, Maggie called to tell Sarah that she couldn’t find the keys to the cabin. Sarah said she would go to the mansion to help her find the keys. Chad and the mystery woman went back to Kayla’s office. Kayla had the text results and gave them to Chad. Chad opened the envelope. Fiona drove the car with Brady passed out in the passenger seat. Sarah was walking by. Fiona took her eyes off the road. Sarah looked up and saw a bright light in her face. Fiona screamed and turned the wheel.

Stefan confronted Ava about Gabi. Ava said she went along with his story about them kissing. He felt guilty about what they did, but she told him not to ruin his relationship by confessing to what they did. Connie told Gabi that she overheard Ava talking to Kristen about having sex with Stefan. Gabi was furious. Connie said she knew how much Gabi appreciated loyalty so she didn’t feel right keeping it from her. Gabi wanted to find Stefan. When she left, Connie said she wanted Gabi to destroy her life like she did Li’s. Hattie showed up at Leo’s place while he was in the middle of writing the script for Body and Soul. Leo didn’t notice that Hattie wasn’t Marlena. While they were watching television, Leo thought Hattie was acting differently from how she normally acts. Kate ranted to Roman about Abe wanting to give Hattie, Leo, and Bonnie a chance at Body and Soul. Roman said they were pretty good. Kate was willing to give Hattie and Leo rope to hang themselves, but she drew the line at Bonnie.

Bonnie auditioned for Body and Soul, but Abe told her she needed more acting experience. Johnny showed up when Bonnie reminded Abe that she successfully pulled off pretending to be Adrienne. He said she had a point and allowed her to audition. Abe agreed to let her audition. Johnny told her to channel her ability to impersonate Adrienne. Bonnie said she didn’t like remembering how she hurt Justin, but Johnny told her to feel remorse. After Bonnie’s performance, Johnny and Abe were impressed with her performance and offered her the role. Abe met up with Kate and told her he offered Bonnie the role. Johnny told Bonnie she did a good job but he had notes for her. She flirted with him to prove that she didn’t need notes. Gabi came up to Stefan and Ava. Ava said they were talking about their kissing being a cover and not meaning anything. Stefan asked Gabi if she believed that nothing happened. Gabi wondered why she would think he was lying to her. She said she wanted to thank him for the flowers he gave her for their anniversary. Before she left, she kissed him. When she walked away, Stefan told Ava that she knows the truth. Ava was sure Gabi didn’t know anything. Gabi went back to the office and told Connie that she didn’t confront Stefan and Ava because she needed proof. She said she needed Connie’s help to get as much information as possible.

At the hospital, Johnny went to see Rafe. He told Rafe that he was a superhero to him when he was a kid. Gabi said Rafe loved being his stepfather. Johnny apologized to her for EJ letting her go to prison for something she didn’t do. Gabi was shocked that he was being nice to her after she exposed EJ. Johnny was glad she exposed it and hoped his father learned a lesson now that he lost everyone. While he was talking, he told her Stefan was lonely and miserable while she was gone. Ava went to talk to Stefan alone. She said she couldn’t be sure but she thought Connie might have overheard her talking to Kristen about their affair. Stefan was furious but Ava said Connie was harmless. Paulina met with Jada in Rafe’s office. Jada told her Bobby was most likely the one who stabbed Rafe. Paulina was shocked when she heard the story. It bothered Jada that she didn’t figure it out sooner since there was no one else to suspect. Paulina said it wasn’t her fault. She talked about her own issues with abuse. Jada said she couldn’t believe the man she once loved could be capable of murder. She said Bobby had secrets, but she hoped they didn’t cost Rafe his life. Connie wanted to celebrate because things were going her way. Imaginary Li asked her if she was happy because she murdered Bobby. Since Bobby was going to expose her, she had to do it. She said it was Stefan and Gabi’s fault. Connie said they were going to pay for what they did.

Alex and Stephanie went to the pub. He talked about believing he was Victor’s son and what happened when he found out he wasn’t. Stephanie told him Everett died. He offered his condolences. Jada told Paulina that they still don’t know who killed Li. Paulina wondered if Bobby could have stabbed him as well. Jada said it was possible but thought he would have included that in his suicide note. Connie told Li that Stefan slept with Ava while Gabi was in prison. Li was shocked and thought it would blow up Stefan and Gabi’s marriage. Connie said she planned on exposing it when it had a huge impact. Li admired how she was making the women friends before she ruins them. Stefan told Ava that Connie came by with papers for Gabi to sign. Ava said she never asked her to do that. Stefan wasn’t convinced that everything was going to be okay. He suggested they not talk about it again so no one would over hear them. Gabi showed up and wondered why Ava was there. When Fiona begged Xander to forgive her, he found a pair of boxers. Xander asked her whose boxers they were. Fiona flashed back to telling Brady to go in the bathroom. Xander asked if she was entertaining someone last night. Fiona said she met the person while getting lattes. Xander wanted to know the person’s name. Alex ran into Brady at the pub. While Alex was venting about Theresa, he thought that was why Brady was back on the bottle. Brady said he was drinking club soda. Alex was glad he didn’t have to call Maggie and tell her. They made a toast to each other saying they weren’t worthy of being in Victor’s will. Alex added Theresa to the toast by saying he never wanted to see her again. Stephanie told Kayla that Everett died. She felt as if she didn’t do enough to help Everett. Stephanie said she should have realized sooner that Bobby was pretending to be Everett. She told Kayla that Everett came back just before he died. Chad kicked in the door at Poplar Bluff. John was tied up to a chair with a gash over his eye. Jack and Chad free him from the ties. John said he thought he was in Greece. Jack handed John the phone so he could call Marlena.

Fiona told Xander he didn’t know her friend. Changing the subject, she asked him for another chance to be the mother he deserved. Xander said he hurt people and remembered begging for forgiveness. Since he respected the fact that she worked on her sanity and sobriety, he decided to forgive her. Kayla invited Stephanie to come back home. Stephanie said she was back in her and Chad’s old place. Kayla said she didn’t like Stephanie being around all the memories. Stephanie said Chad wasn’t ready to move on from Abby. She thought he knew a part of him knew Abby was alive. While Chad was looking around the room, John called Marlena and told her he made his peace with Catharina’s death. When he got home he was going to tell her everything. After John got off the phone, he asked why Chad and Jack were there. They told him about Abby. Alex told Brady he was moving back to his apartment. He said everything he thought was his belonged to Xander. Brady understood why he was upset. When Alex mentioned Theresa, Brady said he brain and heart were never on the same page with Theresa. He said he was glad his head took over and he didn’t fall too deeply. Alex was upset with himself for being sucked in. Brady decided he was done with women. Alex asked him about Kristen. Brady said things would be worse with Kristen. Fiona asked Xander when he was going to claim his birthright. Xander said he may not claim it because Victor treated him like dirt for years. He said Sarah was able to support them and he was happy to spend time with Victoria. Fiona said that didn’t sound like him. Xander reminded her that she didn’t know him. She said he had a right to claim what was his. In Marlena’s office, she told Steve that John was hit from behind at Catharina’s grave. She said the last thing John remembered was being dragged away before he blacked out. Chad showed John the video. The room they were in looked like the one the mystery woman was held in. John thought it was the same room. Xander told Fiona she gave him a lot to think about. While they were talking about Sarah and the wedding, he invited Fiona to the wedding. John told Chad and Jack that he was out of it, but he remembered someone bringing him food. Chad wanted to stay and find out who the people were. When Jack took John to the hospital, Chad noticed a bracelet on the floor. He said it was Abby’s.

She said she was trying to fit in, but she didn’t fit in anywhere but Salem pretending to be Marlena. Hattie said her calling was an actress. She said she looks like Charlemagne. Jada called Stephanie and told her she told Marlena about their theory that Everett is still Bobby. She said Marlena didn’t give her any information but she thinks Marlena agreed with them. Leo overheard Stephanie’s conversation and wondered what Everett did. When Stephanie got off the phone, she told Leo to put his notebook away. Leo wanted to know what was going on. Stephanie told him no one better find out. Connie went to see Bobby. Bobby didn’t want them to be seen together since he told Jada he knew who killed Li. Connie flashed back to overhearing Jada and Stephanie talking about Bobby stabbing Rafe. When her flashback was over, she told Bobby she wasn’t worried about that. Bobby said he didn’t want to see her again. She told him he would get what he wanted. At the police station, Paulina is going to appoint Jada the interim commissioner. Jada agreed to take the job. She said she would work constantly to find Rafe’s attacker. Paulina saw Li’s file on Jada’s desk. Jada said she reopened the case after getting new information that linked Rafe’s attack to Li’s murder. She said she had a plan she hoped she could do that day. Jada called Everett to come to the police station. Bobby left to see Jada. Connie went back to Bobby’s room. Stephanie told Leo that Everett broke up with her. Leo said he thought something was off considering how much Everett talked about her. He said he had to call out to Everett three times. Leo wondered if Everett was Bobby. Stephanie told him to let it go and left.

Hattie’s audition didn’t go well. She apologized and showed emotion after she yelled at Abe. He said if she kept showing emotion like that, she would be Charlemagne. Hattie assumed she got the job. Abe asked her to leave him and Kate alone for a minute. Kate told Abe that Hattie’s performance was terrible. Abe said they could hire an acting coach because her look was too good. When they called Hattie back in, Abe told her she got the job. Paulina met with Johnny and Chanel at the pub. They talked about Johnny and Chanel staying in Salem. Johnny said he would look for work in Chicago or locally. When Abe showed up, Paulina suggested he hire Johnny. Abe said he needed a director for the show. Johnny accepted the job. When Hattie looked at her contract, she wanted a higher salary with perks. Kate turned her down. She asked if Hattie wanted the job or not. Hattie agreed to sign the contract. Bobby showed up at the police station and apologized for crossing the line at the hospital. Jada said he wasn’t acting like himself. Bobby said he was integrated now. He said he had to remember things he blocked years ago. Jada said that was break since Bobby said he knew who killed Li. Bobby said it was fuzzy. Jada accused him of being Bobby and stabbing Rafe. Bobby admitted Jada was right about him. He said he didn’t stab Rafe, but he knew who did. Connie typed on Bobby’s laptop. She pulled out a bag that had bloody gloves with Rafe’s DNA on them. Marlena talked to Kayla about Everett faking his integration. Abe showed up to tell them that he and Kate were producing Body and Soul in Salem. Since Marlena and Kayla looked like the original actresses, Abe wondered if they would play the parts. Marlena and Kayla turned down the roles. While they were talking, Kate sent them a message about Eric and Nicole’s going away party. Eric and Nicole talked about Holly staying with Maggie. Nicole said it would be hard, but she had to let Holly live her life and focus on Jude and Eric. She wonders if she is dreaming. Eric told her she wasn’t. She wanted him to pinch her, but he had a better idea. Tate talked to Holly about what’s going on with his mother. He was glad that he didn’t have to worry about his mother coming between them. Tate was worried about his father finding out about lacrosse camp. He said they have to stay at the cabin for the summer.

Andrew told Theresa that he would try to negotiate a deal for her since Victoria was returned shortly after she took her. He said the fraud was committed on foreign soil. Andrew didn’t think the Greek government would extradite her. He said he couldn’t promise her that EJ wouldn’t go after her. After Eric and Nicole spent time together, they went to the pub. Everyone was there at the pub to celebrate them leaving. During the celebration, Eric and Nicole flashed back to their lives together. Marlena and Roman said goodbye to Eric. Abe told Nicole he would miss her. Nicole made him promise to visit in Paris. Holly and Nicole said goodbye to each other. While they were talking, Holly told her she endured a lot and was proud of her. Nicole said she was proud of her too. Theresa called Tate. He wanted to be there with her, but she told him not to come. She told him she would be okay if Andrew didn’t get a deal for her. Theresa said she was proud of him. She said him owning up to his mistakes set an example for her which was why she turned herself in. When she got off the phone, Andrew showed up.

At the office, Kristen told Ava that Gabi left her a message about resurrecting Gabi Chic. Ava told her it was a bad idea. She said she hated Gabi even though she doesn’t know she slept with Stefan. Ava said she wasn’t sitting beside her. Kristen said she would do it. Stefan comforted Gabi about Rafe. Jada sat with Rafe at the hospital. Kayla suggested that she go home, but Jada refused to leave. Kayla said Rafe been through this before and recovered. She said there was no reason to think he wouldn’t now. Jada said she hoped she was right. While Connie was cutting vegetables, Li taunted her about Rafe waking up from his coma, which would cause Bobby to throw her under the bus. He said her plan would blow up in her face. While at the pub, Bobby read an online article about Rafe. He was surprised Connie took it that far but wasn’t going to waste an opportunity to get closer to Jada. When Bobby said he was going to the hospital, Stephanie walked in. He changed into Everett mode telling Stephanie that he had an appointment with Marlena. Stephanie said she was happy that he was making progress. He said he didn’t want her to think they were getting back together. Stephanie said she didn’t think that.

Kristen told Ava getting Gabi Chic would help them compete with Basic Black. Ava said this had to do with Brady, but Kristen said it was good for business. Kristen said Ava would have to swallow her pride and get Gabi to sign with them. Ava said Rafe was in a coma. Kristen said Gabi could compartmentalize. She said if Ava wanted the job, she’ll make it happen. Kristen gave her Gabi’s contract. Gabi appreciated Stefan being there for her. She wanted him to make love to her. Jada told Rafe that she loved him. She asked him to wake up. Bobby came in the room. Jada asked why he was there. He said he wanted to apologize to her about Rafe and asked if there were any leads. Jada said forensics was analyzing the knife for DNA. Bobby said the Spectator would support him. He said he would support her too. She said she wasn’t sorry that Eric got his son back, but she was sorry she betrayed his trust. Stefan apologized for getting mad at her. Gabi said they needed to trust each other no matter what. She said she would never keep secrets from him. He said the same thing. Kayla and Stephanie talked about the double wedding. While they were talking, they got on the subject of Everett. Stephanie told her she was supportive of Everett’s mental health. She told Kayla about the way Everett was acting. Ava ran into Gabi at the hospital. She told Gabi she was sorry about what happened to Rafe. Gabi asked if she was sorry that she wasn’t the one who did it. Ava said she cared about Rafe and would never wish that on him. She said wanted to bring Gabi Chic to DiMera. Gabi said going over her head worked. Ava wondered if Gabi would be able to work with what’s going on with Rafe. Gabi said it would be a distraction. Jada moved away from Bobby. Bobby told her he wasn’t developing feelings for her. He was just offering her support. Bobby said he and Stephanie broke up so he was alone. Jada was suspicious when Bobby left. Connie told Li that Bobby could be a liability. She said if it came to that she would get rid of him. Stephanie and Jada ran into each other. He had a drink in front of him. Fiona said she got her invitation to the wedding too late to RSVP. She said she decided to come anyway. Sarah introduced herself. She told Fiona about her granddaughter. When Sarah told her the baby was named Victoria after Victor, Fiona said it was appropriate. Maggie told her she was Victor’s widow. Fiona said she and Victor were close years ago. Maggie said Fiona was married to Victor’s brother Titus. Theresa wanted to get the wedding back on track. Ava went down to the pub and saw Brady drinking. She was surprised to see him drinking. He told her about Theresa. She asked if he wanted to talk about it. Fiona wanted to know who Theresa was. Leo said Theresa just married Victor’s son. Alex introduced himself to her. Fiona said she thought Bo and Phillip were Victor’s sons. Alex told her about a letter they found after Victor’s death. Fiona had questions, but Theresa told Maggie to finish the ceremony. Fiona said what she had to say couldn’t wait. She said Alex was committing a fraud. Fiona wanted to see the letter. Xander wanted to know what Fiona was doing. Fiona apologized to him for it coming out this way. She said she had an affair with Victor while she was married to Titus. Fiona said she didn’t want Titus to know she had an affair so she wrote the letter to Victor in private about his son Alexander. She said she gave Xander that name. Fiona said someone changed her signature on the letter. Justin said the letter was found in Victor’s briefcase which was returned by the ISA. Fiona asked if anyone had access to it. Alex looked at Theresa and asked if it was her. He said Theresa was alone with the briefcase in Greece. Theresa tried to explain herself, but Alex said she changed the letter. He demanded that she tell him the truth. Theresa admitted the truth. Sarah tried to hold Xander back. Alex wanted to know who helped her forge the letter. Theresa said it was Konstantin. Ava listened to Brady talk about Theresa. Ava talked to him about Harris. She said she brought her heartache on herself. Brady said it didn’t change how much it hurt. He said she didn’t have a constant reminder of Harris because he’s gone. Maggie was shocked that Theresa worked with Konstantin. Theresa said she didn’t know how dangerous he was. Xander yelled at her for giving Alex what was rightfully his. Alex said Theresa may have screwed Xander over but at least he didn’t marry her. Theresa ran away. When the guests left, Justin, Bonnie, and Sonny comforted Alex. Alex said he felt stupid for not listening to the signs about Theresa. Bonnie said there was one good thing that came out of it. Justin was really his father. Justin hugged Alex. They said they loved each other. Justin said they would get the marriage annulled and they would get the police involved. Alex said he had to leave. Xander confronted his mother for lying. Fiona said they didn’t want to hurt Titus. Xander wondered why they lied after he died. He said she fell apart after Titus died. Fiona apologized for not being there for him. Xander said he didn’t want her around now. He told Sarah that he still wanted to get married, but Sarah didn’t think they should.

Nicole went to the Spectator to confront Leo. She yelled at him for knowing the truth about Jude. He said he’s trying to be a better person with his therapy with Marlena. Nicole said she wondered if Marlena knew about his part in letting everyone Jude was a DiMera and not her grandson. Leo said he didn’t know Jude was Eric’s son. It occurred to him why EJ paid him to keep quiet. Nicole was shocked to hear that. Leo apologized for what he did. She said he could make it up to her by testifying in court. Marlena showed up at the DiMera mansion. EJ thought she was there to see Jude and told her he wasn’t there. Marlena said she came to do this. She slapped him. He said she had a right to be angry because there was no excuse to do what he did. Connie told Bobby that she stabbed Rafe in the back with a knife. Bobby said he didn’t want Rafe murdered. Connie said he wanted Rafe gone. She asked what else was she supposed to do. Connie said she held up her end of the bargain so he could be with Jada. Kayla told Jada and Gabi that Rafe was in surgery. She said the knife penetrated his lung. Kayla said they wouldn’t know the extent of the damage until they got in there. When Kayla left, Gabi told Jada that someone stabbed Rafe the same way Li was killed. Jada said she would investigate every lead. Gabi said the knife could help her prove who did it.

Bobby told Connie that there was going to be a murder investigation. Connie said she didn’t know if Rafe was dead or not, but it didn’t look good. Bobby was upset, but Connie said Jada would be devastated if Rafe died and needed someone there to pick up the pieces. She said that was what he wanted. Connie said she held up her end of the bargain and asked if he would do the same. Bobby said he wouldn’t tell anyone he saw her the night Li died. He said no one could ever see them together now that Jada thought the identity of Li’s killer was in Everett’s head. Jada went in Rafe’s room. There was blood on the sheets. After she put on latex gloves, she put the knife in a bag. When she saw Rafe’s shirt, she put it to her face. Leo was hesitant about testifying against the Salem D.A. Nicole said she wanted to divorce EJ and make sure he went to prison. She said Leo testifying against EJ would make sure it happened. Leo didn’t want to help her. Nicole said she would talk to Rafe and get him immunity. Leo said that wasn’t why he wouldn’t testify. He said EJ suffered enough by losing his wife and kid and now had to deal with his worst nightmare of her and Eric being together. EJ told Marlena that he thought he could make Nicole love him if he had enough time. Marlena said he was like Stefano who also didn’t like to lose. EJ talked about losing Sami which made him desperate to keep Nicole. He said it didn’t matter because Nicole and Eric were together and he had nothing. Marlena said she didn’t feel sorry for him. EJ said he got his comeuppance so all should be right with her world. Marlena said she hoped his suffering just begun. While they were talking, he got his divorce papers. EJ said his comeuppance happened sooner than she thought. Kayla told Jada and Gabi that there was a complication. She said the surgeons removed a clot from Rafe’s lung, but he slipped into a coma.

Stephanie wanted to go see him, but Kayla told her to give him time. Stephanie wanted to know if he was really back. Being without him made her realize how much she missed him. Kayla told her to be with him. Jada and Gabi ran into each other at the pub. Gabi thanked her for helping get her out of prison. Jada said Rafe and Stefan deserved all the credit. While they were talking, they talked about Bobby saying he knew who really killed Li. Jada thought she wouldn’t be able to get answers now that Everett was back. She said she needed to find Rafe and let him know what was going on. Gabi said he was at Abby’s grave. While Rafe was on the phone with Paulina, Connie stabbed him in the back. Connie apologized, but said she had to do it so Bobby wouldn’t say anything about her killing Li. She said she had to bury him in the empty grave so no one would know. When Connie heard Jada call out to Rafe, she ran off. Jada went to Rafe and called for help.

Stephanie went to see Everett. Bobby was disappointed that Stephanie wasn’t Jada. He pretended to be Everett. Stephanie was happy to see him until he told her they couldn’t see each other anymore. He said he had a long way to go to be fully integrated and needed to focus on his mental health. Stephanie was disappointed but said she understood. She said she would be there for him as a friend. He said she was the best and would never forget how hard she fought for him. Gabi left Ava a message about starting up Gabi Chic at DiMera. She said she was putting a team together. Connie showed up and was excited. She asked where she could sign up because she’s very loyal. At the hospital, Jada watched Kayla working on Rafe. Kayla told her to wait in the hall. Jada told Rafe she loved him. Connie went to Bobby’s hotel room. Bobby told her he faked being Everett so he could get out of Bayview to avoid talking about LI’s murder. He asked what she did to hold up her end of the bargain. She said Rafe wouldn’t be a problem for him or anyone else. While Jada was on the phone, she ordered someone to find the person who stabbed Rafe. Gabi showed up and wondered who hurt her brother. In Rafe’s room, Kayla said he was going into shock. She said they were losing him.

Connie had breakfast with Li. She told him about her deal with Bobby. If he kept quiet about seeing her on the night of Li’s murder, she would kill his romantic rival. Li asked if she was going to kill Rafe the way she killed him. She said it wasn’t her fault because it was an act of passion. Connie thought about showing up at their apartment months after their date. He tried to get rid of her because he was having a bad day. Despite what he told her, she pushed herself in his apartment. She talked to him about her dates. Now that things didn’t work out with Melinda, she wondered if they could pick up where they left off. Connie told Li if he said yes to getting together, things would have worked out differently. Rafe asked Marlena if she thought Bobby knew who killed Li. Marlena said Bobby could be playing Jada, but didn’t think he was dangerous. She said people with mental illness was more likely a victim a crime than a perpetrator of one. Rafe didn’t want Jada alone with him. Jada questions Bobby about Li. Bobby flashed back to Connie’s visit. Bobby winced and held his head. After a few moments, he asked why she was calling him Bobby. He said he was Everett. When he didn’t know where he was, Jada went to get help.

Connie flashed back to telling Li that she was getting therapy. He accused her of stalking him. She said it was caring for him. He told her to leave. When she refused to leave, he threatened to call the police. She picked up a knife and stabbed him. Connie decided it wasn’t her fault and blamed Gabi for it. She thought Gabi was the reason why he rejected her. Connie thought Gabi needed to see what she did and decided to text Gabi from Li’s phone. When she was about to leave, someone knocked on the door. She hid when Gil came in looking for Ava. He was shocked to see Li on the floor. The black book fell on the floor. Jada went back to see Everett. Marlena showed up. She recognized Everett. Jada and Marlena told him how Bobby took over. Marlena was happy about his breakthrough but thought he needed to stay a few more days. Everett wanted to get better but he had a relationship and job to go back to. He said he wanted to be in control. Marlena said she didn’t think he was a threat to anyone and signed his release. Connie said she wanted Gabi to get caught standing over Li. She said she was afraid Gil was going to get caught. In the flashback, Gil leaned over and checked Li’s neck. He felt a weak pulse but didn’t want any trouble. Gil picked up his book from the floor and left. When the flashback was over, Connie said if Gil called an ambulance, Li might still be alive. She thought she would have gotten away with everything if it weren’t for Bobby. Everett thanked Marlena for what she did. When Marlena left, Everett thanked Jada. She asked if he remembered talking to her about Li. He was confused. Jada told him to focus on getting well before she left. When Jada left, Everett thought about Connie’s deal. Bobby smiled after the flashback. While at the Salem Inn, Bobby said agreed to keep Connie’s secret safe so she better live up to her end of the bargain. At the cemetery, Rafe talked to Paulina on the phone. Connie came up behind him and stabbed him.

EJ vowed to get revenge on Stefan and Gabi. Holly came in and wondered why he was upset. EJ told her that Gabi revealed that Jude was Eric’s son. Holly told him she was sorry. He told her he already knew about it. Stefan asked Gabi why she exposed Jude’s paternity. Gabi said she couldn’t let Eric suffer the way she did in prison being away from her child. Stefan said she wanted to stick it to EJ. Nicole told Eric that he is Jude’s father. She told him what Gabi said at the press conference. Eric was excited about the baby being his. Brady asked Theresa if she knew about Alex being Victor’s heir before she slept with him. Theresa acted as if she was insulted by the accusation. She said she wasn’t that person anymore and wanted to be someone her son was proud of. Brady apologized to her and thought she couldn’t be after money since she signed the prenup.

Stefan told Gabi she could have told Eric about Jude in private. He said she chose to humiliate EJ instead because she hated him for what he did to her. Gabi said she hated him because he sent her to prison where she lived in fear every day. She said she spent weeks in solitary and was afraid she would never him or Arianna again. If EJ had his way, she would have been left in prison to rot. She said EJ got what he deserved. When she wanted to go home and forget about what happened, Stefan said they couldn’t. EJ explained to Holly why he kept the secret about Jude’s paternity. He said he was afraid Eric and Nicole were going to reunite. Holly said she was happy that Eric had his son back but didn’t like what EJ did. She said she understood his desperation. EJ thanked her for understanding. Eric told Nicole he couldn’t take the job in Paris now. Nicole said she didn’t think he would. Eric said he couldn’t imagine what EJ was going through. Nicole told him not to feel sorry for EJ. Eric was furious at what EJ did. She said EJ was afraid they would reunite. Stefan told Gabi he loved her, but he was furious with her. He said he wasn’t on EJ’s side, but he promised to keep the secret in exchange for her freedom. Stefan said he thought they could live in peace, but now they had to prepare for a war. He walked away from her. Eric pushes Jude’s stroller past Gabi. He thanked her for telling the truth. She said she did the right thing even if Stefan was furious with her. Stefan showed up at the mansion while EJ was there. He told him he intended to keep his secret, but Gabi had other ideas. EJ told him the damage was done and he lost his wife forever. Nicole showed up. When Stefan left, Nicole told EJ she was there to get her things. She told him she wanted a divorce.

The person’s name escaped him. He pretended to be tired when Jada kept questioning him. Bobby suggested they talked tomorrow. When Connie went in her apartment, she thought about killing Li. She said it was Gabi’s fault that she killed Li. When she wiped her tears, she heard a voice that said Gabi wasn’t the one who stabbed him. Connie was excited that Li was still alive. He said he was dead thanks to her. She thought about killing him but realized no one else knew she did it. Connie said what happened would stay between them. While she was talking, she brought up their date. She asked why he didn’t call her. He said he thought she was crazy. She told him she wasn’t crazy. Connie said she wanted to be close to him which was why she moved in his apartment. He thought it was sentimental. She vowed to get revenge on anyone who was responsible for his loss. When he death was avenged, they could live happily ever after. During the press conference, Gabi said Eric was Jude’s son. Rafe pulled Gabi aside and told her this wasn’t the place to say anything. Gabi said it was the place and was able to prove what she said. Stefan asked her not to say anything. When EJ tried to end the press conference, it didn’t do any good. Nicole wanted to know where Gabi got her information. Gabi said Stefan told her. EJ was upset.

Nicole wanted Stefan to give her answers but he couldn’t. Gabi asked if he was going to call her a liar in front of everyone. Stefan said Gabi told the truth. Gabi said Stefan saw the DNA test. Stefan apologized to EJ, but he didn’t want to hear it. Nicole apologized to EJ. Gabi said he already knew. Nicole asked EJ if it was true. The reporters continued to record Gabi’s statement. Gabi said Melinda used the truth to get an immunity deal. She said Stefan blackmailed EJ to get her released from prison. EJ called Gabi out for being ungrateful. When EJ was about to get her, Rafe stopped him. Nicole yelled at EJ before she walked away. When EJ was going after her, Rafe stopped him and told him he perpetrated a fraud and was an accessory after the fact. EJ told him to take it up with the D.A. At the mansion, EJ told Nicole he didn’t know about Jude at first. He said when Leo told him, he had another test done. After he got the results he was devastated at the idea of raising Eric’s child. He said he made a terrible choice, but he didn’t want to lose her. Nicole said he did lose her. When Nicole was packing Jude’s things, EJ tried to stop her from leaving. He said they have weathered worse storms. She said it was a nightmare of his own doing. He said he loved her. She said she never wanted to hear those words again. When he wanted to know where she was going, she told him it was none of his business. Rafe wanted Gabi and Stefan to give him answers. Stefan said they could talk later, but he needed to talk to Gabi. Gabi told Rafe they would go to the police station tomorrow. When Rafe left, Stefan asked Gabi how she could do this. While Eric was at the airport, he thought about giving Jude back to Nicole. Nicole called him but he ignored the call. She showed up at the airport and told him Jude was his son.

Paulina wanted Kayla to tell her Chanel’s miscarriage wasn’t her fault. Kayla was willing to do it, but she couldn’t tell her anything without Chanel’s permission. Chanel told Johnny that she had a dream about being at the baby shower. She said they were happy and then she woke up and realized they would never know if their baby was a boy or a girl. They would never hold their baby. Johnny consoled her. Marlena told Stephanie that Bobby was still in control of Everett. She said Bobby has been protecting Everett for most of his life which was why it was hard to break through. Marlena said someone who knew Everett might be able to help him. She said since they didn’t know his family Stephanie was their best bet to getting through to Everett. Stephanie agreed to help. Jada told Steve she had to book him on a felony. Steve asked if the deal Justin was working on for him fell through. Jada said a plea deal was still a possibility. Since he confessed to a crime, she had to book him. She said he could face up to five years in prison. Johnny got a call from the director. He found out the director replaced him. Johnny told Chanel the only place he wanted to be was beside her. Steve told Jada that Clyde double crossed him at the airfield after he broke him out of prison. He said Goldman knocked him out and then they left. While Steve was talking, Jada turned off the recorder and told him what he was saying wasn’t true. She thought Ava helped him, but Steve said she didn’t. Jada said two people were wearing hazmat suits got Clyde out. She asked if John was the other one. He said he wasn’t.

When Johnny wheeled Chanel into the hospital lobby, they ran into Paulina. Paulina said she loved her and would regret for the rest of her life. Chanel told Johnny that she wanted to go home. Kayla showed up. When Chanel gave Kayla consent to talk about the miscarriage she said the miscarriage wasn’t caused by the radiation exposure. Kayla said she had a partial molar pregnancy that happened at conception. She said the fetus wasn’t viable which meant she was going to lose the baby. Chanel hugged Paulina. She apologized for blaming Paulina. Paulina said she didn’t need to apologize. Kayla said she wanted to monitor her for a couple of months. Paulina said they were moving away. Chanel said they decided to stay in Salem. When Marlena and Stephanie went to Bobby’s room, he told them to leave. Stephanie tried to reach out to Everett, but Bobby told her to shut up. He said she abandoned Everett when things got tough. Bobby said he protects Everett from people like her. He insulted Stephanie. She said she wanted to hear from Everett and forced him to come out. Marlena said it wasn’t working so they should leave. She said Everett would never be free and safe until he confronted his issues. Bobby said Everett only made it this far because of him. He said if they kept pushing, no one would see Everett again.
