Tomas admitted to Kat that he didn’t want to move into a condo with her because he didn’t want to be kept man. He brought up his culture and didn’t want to step into her life. They were supposed to build a life together. He feared that people thought he wanted her for the money. They came up with a plan that worked for both of them. Tomas would stay over occasionally and pay rent until they came up with a plan that worked for both of them. Leslie wanted Jacob to find information about Monica so she wouldn’t have any issues like she did with Lia. After he talked with Leslie, Jacob went home. Naomi planned to tell him the truth about her having the BRCA gene, but he wanted to take her out to make up for the time they lost together. The couple ended up at Uptown. Grayson was working as a bartender there. The manager gave Grayson a part-time job there. Ashley helped Jacob give Naomi an anniversary gift. He vowed to make sure she knew what mattered the most to him.
Leslie had a meeting with Monica. Monica’s the new chief of staff at Garland. She told Leslie that the hospital was cutting ties with the clinic. Leslie wondered if she did that because of the way she treated Shanice. Monica admitted that was why she did it. Leslie found out that Monica was messing with her head to see if she was a changed woman. They made an arrangement to work together. Each woman wanted to keep an eye out for the other.
