Nicole was in bed with Carlton and thought about Ted. She pulled away from him until she could clear her head. After Carlton left, she thought about Ted again. Ted wanted to have a romantic dinner with Shanice, but she turned him down. She didn’t like how he defended Leslie to her. Lia approached Ashley and had questions for her about Grayson. Ashley informed her that she broke up with Grayson. Lia seemed pleased about the news. She told someone that Ashley and Grayson broke up. Ted explained to Shanice that he had a living reminder of what he did to destroy his marriage. Shanice reminded him that he slept with Leslie again even though he knew what type of person she was. He blamed his mistake on drinking. Ted insisted that he wasn’t a bad person. Grayson was at the hotel and was freaked out by Smitty’s arrival. Jacob showed up at the hotel too. Grayson said he was done with the mess. Jacob threatened to arrest him. He sent Smitty home so he could be alone with Grayson. Grayson told him that he and Ashley broke up. He agreed to give him the name of his boss, but he wanted immunity. They talked about the deal Grayson wanted. He admitted that his contact was Lia.
Naomi went to see Martin to get information about Jacob and Smitty’s undercover work. She didn’t get the answers she was looking for. Naomi and Martin talked about him running for Senator and the cotillion. Smitty arrived at home. He and Martin agreed to forget about everything and talk about the cotillion. They are about to have a romantic evening when Jacob called Smitty. He told him that Lia was Grayson’s contact at the hospital. Lia was mad when Ren told her that there was an issue with a pickup. She told him that they had bigger fish to fry and looked in Ashely’s direction.
