Ridge: Thank you very much. Now that is quite the collection. I realize that at forrester, we’re mostly known for couture, but every now and then, we get to branch out. It’s a lot of fun for all of us. We’ve done it before with– with brooke’s bedroom and…
[ Audience applauding ]
Brooke: As soon as i walked into the building, I knew that you were here.
Ridge: Logan.
Ridge: So you knew I was gonna be here?
Brooke: Right away.
Ridge: Wow! And my car being in the parking lot, that didn’t give you a hint at all?
Brooke: Well, I didn’t come in that way. No. I could just feel your presence.
Ridge: Huh?
Brooke: How could I not after all those years of being so tuned into you? What did you do to your hand?
Ridge: I don’t know. I was cutting something, making something beautiful and the next thing you know, I’m hurt. Why are you here so late?
Brooke: Uh, well, I thought I’d get a jump start on all the press that’s going to come in for hope for the future.
Ridge: That’s what I’m doing. There’s a few in already.
Brooke: Oh yeah? Tell me they’re good reviews.
Ridge: Not a bad one yet.
Brooke: Oh, that’s great. Hope had so much riding on this preview.
Ridge: Yeah. The press loved it. They’ve been talking about hope and thomas as the new forrester dream team.
Liam: I know. Mommy will be home soon. Just try to go back to sleep, baby.
[ Liam sighing ] Come on, hope. Just come home.
Thomas: Hope, look, I– I didn’t mean to upset you.
Hope: It’s just things have been going really well, and we had this momentous achievement today and I get that emotions are running high, but thomas, that is as far as it goes. I love liam. He’s my husband and I…
[ Hope sighing ] I don’t have any more room in my heart or in my life for another man.
Thomas: You’re right. Emotions are running high and I don’t know, I just… I thought this was our time.
Ridge: Our kids created fashion magic. They overcame their past to do it. Yeah.
Brooke: Hope always sees the best in everybody, even thomas.
[ Ridge laughing ]
Ridge: Yeah, even thomas. There’s a lot of fine things about that young man. He’s a good dad, a good designer. I’m a proud papa. Is that okay?
Brooke: Yeah, I know.
Ridge: But you think he’s gonna disappoint you again? He’s gonna screw up. You know what? We all screw up sometimes, don’t we?
Brooke: Look, ridge. Come on. I don’t wanna argue about thomas. He’s one of the major reasons why hope didn’t lose her line, and I’m very grateful for that. So, let’s just leave it there.
Ridge: Sure.
Brooke: So how was the post celebration over at eric’s?
Ridge: It was good. It’s always good, right?
Brooke: Yeah.
Ridge: A couple of drinks and laughs, celebrating with the people you’re closest to. Wasn’t the same without you there.
Brooke: What happened? I still don’t understand how we ended up apart.
[ Ridge sighing ]
Liam: Come on! All right. All right. Wyatt. Hey, bro. How soon could you get here? Really? Can I– can I still take you up on that offer to watch beth? Yeah. She– hope’s not back yet and– and her phone keeps going to voicemail and I just– I gotta– I gotta get over there. I have to. Thanks, man. Thank you.
[ Liam sighing ]
Thomas: It’s us. We can do anything together.
[ Hope laughing ]
Hope: I’m sorry. Thomas, this is the last thing I wanna do. I don’t wanna hurt you after the amazing day that we shared together. You know, I– I thought we were on the same page.
Thomas: We were. No, we are.
Hope: Okay. Really? Because I– I thought we had moved past this and that you have changed and then–
Thomas: Look, I have changed. Now you’ve said that I’ve changed and– but, you know, sometimes changes don’t come without a little bit of growing pains. And I– I have been honest with you from the beginning. I mean, I– I’ve told you my commitment to you goes beyond just our work together. And I’ve told you I’m a one-woman man. Hope. That woman, it’s you.
Hope: I can’t be what you want.
Thomas: That’s the problem. You already are.
Hope: I’m married, thomas, and my commitment is to liam and to my family. But I do care about you, which is why I’m being real with you right now because I do not wanna set you up for some kind of fall, thomas. We co-parent douglas together, we work together, and believe it or not… I really do consider you my friend. That is as far as it goes. We cannot be a couple.
Thomas: That’s– you know, that’s fine. Honestly, it’s– it’s just– you know what? Let’s just forget that this ever happened. Look, it’s– it wouldn’t be the– the best thing in the world if– if we told anyone about this either. If you told liam or your mom, well, that could cause a whole big scene. And that might even affect douglas and neither one of us wants to hurt douglas. And that’s– that’s another thing. It is like, you, me and douglas, we’ve been so amazing lately. We’ve got this wonderful bond and relationship, so maybe just forget that it ever happened. I mean, honestly, this– it’s not like anything did happen anyway, so no harm, no foul, right? Tell me– tell me you believe me and that you– you agree and we’re good.
[ Thomas laughing ]
Hope: Well, I do need to ask something of you first, which is, how is this going to affect things going forward? And I need you to be honest, and not just with me, but yourself.
[ Thomas sighing ]
[ Sneezing ]
Hope: We’re at a pretty important crossroad right now and that’s why I’m asking you to be honest. Considering that you want more from me than I’m willing to give, how we move forward from here depends on what you can and cannot handle. So, can you accept our relationship as it is right now, co-workers, co-parents and friends?
Thomas: I have been dealing with it pretty well up until now, don’t you think?
Hope: Well, no, you did just try to kiss me.
Thomas: Yeah, but, you know, look… today was a triumph, all right? And– and– and we just had one of the most influential and– and important moments of our lives and then we all got together. We came over here and we had some fun and everyone was around and toasting us, right? They were celebrating us. And– and that’s just– that’s heady stuff, don’t you think? And you and I, like, I felt so bonded with you lately. And yeah, I, uh, I tried to kiss you and that was a mistake, okay? But it was just a moment. It’s not a hint of things to come so…
[ Thomas sighing ] Let’s not ruin anything because I made some stupid mistake.
Hope: I’m going to choose to believe you. But I am married, so something like this can never and will never happen again.
Thomas: I promise. You’re not gonna say anything, though?
Hope: I don’t think that would benefit anybody. I think we should keep that to ourselves. So right now, I’m going to go home to my husband, liam, and I hope you will tell douglas that I will see him in the morning.
Thomas: Okay? Hope, just one last thing. You did a great job tonight, and everybody was celebrating you, and you deserve that. And I am very, very happy for you.
Hope: Thanks.
Brooke: This has been driving me crazy. This separation. It’s so random. I mean, you just left me and went to taylor. It doesn’t make any sense.
Ridge: Well, maybe one day it will make sense to you. I don’t know.
Brooke: Ridge, how is it gonna make sense?
Ridge: Why are we doing this?
Brooke: I don’t even know what I did!
Ridge: Let’s not rehash this anymore. It doesn’t solve anything. It just– it just creates pain.
Brooke: Of course it creates pain because you’re living at another woman’s house, sharing her bed. Of course that’s gonna bother me.
[ Brooke sighing ] I see that you still love me. I see it in your eyes!
Ridge: There’s no way I could hide that or deny it.
Brooke: Well, then what is it? What happened? What changed? What?
Thomas: What the heck was I thinking? Everything was going so well.
Brooke: I’d like to report a child in danger.
Cps agent: And your name, ma’am?
Thomas: Brooke logan, please hurry.
Brooke’s voice: Brooke logan, please hurry.
Thomas: I got brooke out of my dad’s life. Why did I think tonight was the night for hope and me?
Liam: Oh my god! Hope!
Hope: Babe.
Liam: Hope, oh my god! Are you okay?
Hope: Yes.
Liam: You have no idea how worried I’ve been. I actually called wyatt. I was gonna ask him to come over and– and– and take care of beth, because I was calling you all night and then you weren’t answering and I– I– I– I–
Hope: Oh, my phone died.
Liam: Your phone died?
Hope: Yes.
Liam: Your phone died. Of course. I’m– I– listen, I owe you the world’s biggest apology. I should have stayed at the showing tonight. You’re my wife and I failed you as a husband and I–
Hope: No, liam–
Liam: No, really, I did. But you’re okay, right? Like, everything’s fine and you’re– you’re good?
Hope: Yes.
Liam: Okay. Suffice it to say, um, I– I really need to work on separating my support for you from my feelings about thomas and I didn’t do that tonight and– and I– I’m so sorry.
Hope: No, it’s, uh, it’s fine, liam. Really, I understand.
Liam: Cool. And– and you know me, right? Like, ’cause I didn’t go to the celebration, the longer it took, the more my mind started wondering and it was like a whole spiral– anyway, I’m just, oh, I’m so glad you’re home, really. Listen, I’m done settling. Because this is my secret. what happened?
Ridge: Hey, hey, it’s pointless. Just going around in a circle.
Brooke: Yes, it is pointless. Just come home, ridge, and we can be together. We can work through this, whatever this is, and you can open up to me whenever you’re ready.
Ridge: Apparently, that’s not possible.
Brooke: Well, it is possible. We can fix this and we can move on with our future together.
Ridge: I’m with taylor now.
Brooke: Oh, god! I can’t hear that come out of your mouth. You should be with me. I am your wife.
Ridge: I never meant to hurt you. I’m sorry.
Brooke: Ridge, you can make it go away. You have the power to do that. I am not gonna give up on us. I’m not. We will be together again.
Liam: I’m so glad you’re here. Honestly, I was really– I– I thought you might even just stay the whole night.
Brooke: Once douglas was asleep, the party was over, there was no reason to stay.
Liam: I’m so glad to hear you say that. I’m also glad to know what a huge success the– the showing was. My god!
Hope: I think it’s safe to say it certainly was.
Liam: Well, there was never any doubt about that. But I know that you wanted me there, and I know that I disappointed you and I’m sorry for that. Uh, you know something? I actually– I decided to stay. I was gonna stay, but then I went backstage to wish you luck and I saw, I don’t know, kind of look like you and thomas were having a moment and then my mind started spinning and I freaked out and I just, I– I– I took off.
Hope: You should have stayed… but I understand why you didn’T.
Liam: I do still worry that the more time you spend with him, the closer he gets to you by design. But I just have to chill out and have faith that if I’m right, he’ll show his true colors and you’ll see them.
Thomas: Don’t you see how great of a team that we make? There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, hope.
Hope: Wait, stop!
Thomas: Got my stupid hopes up.
Hope: Our lead designer, my partner in crime, thomas forrester.
[ Audience applauding ] I am married, so something like this can never and will never happen again.
Hope: Thank you.
Liam: So, listen.
Hope: Mm.
Liam: I’m your husband. I love you. I’m just– I’m always gonna be like hyper aware of everything going on around you all the time… and I– I just didn’t want thomas and his obsession to hurt you again.
