Hope: Great. Okay. So let alterations know that we’ll take it in a quarter of an inch.
Paris: On it.
Hope: Okay. So this means we have look, three, four. Um, we’re canceling look six. It’s just not working.
Paris: Don’t forget to breathe.
Hope: I know. It’s just really important to me. And the preview’s already tomorrow.
Paris: You got this. You are ready.
Petra: Paris is right. The entire hope for the future line is phenomenal. The showroom’s gonna go nuts.
Hope: Thank you. But I mean, I really couldn’t do it without my team. Petra, you look gorgeous. And paris all your help has been amazing. Not to mention thomas’s talent and support.
Steffy: Wait, wait, wait. You closed on all the renewals?
Justin: Was I not supposed to? You told me to get on it.
Steffy: I– I’m just really impressed. I thought you’d do this in like a– a month or so.
Justin: I aim to please.
Steffy: It’s always been your mo, hasn’t it?
Justin: I’m just trying to use my powers for good now.
Steffy: Well keep it up. We notice.
Justin: Thank you. Let you get back to it.
Steffy: Thank you.
Justin: All right. You’re welcome. Hey.
Thomas: Hey. Hope and i are on fire.
Steffy: Better be. Preview is right around the corner.
Thomas: It’s gonna be great. Hope for the future is at the top of its game.
Steffy: Thanks to you.
Thomas: It’s a joint effort, you know. Hope and i have been working very closely around the clock.
Steffy: How’s that going, by the way? Not easy, you know, dealing with hope.
Thomas: No. It’s good. I think we work really well together. You know, the same values and the same taste and you know, it shows in the designs.
Steffy: Yeah. Well, there’s a lot riding on hope for the future. Her line’s gonna be tested.
Thomas: Yeah. Well, you know what? Hope will meet the challenge and then so.
Steffy: Seems like you’re really committed to her and her success.
Thomas: I believe in hope.
Steffy: She obviously thinks you’re talented.
Thomas: Talented and hot.
Steffy: You’re joking, right? Hope thinks you’re hot?
Thomas: Yeah.
Steffy: Okay.
Thomas: I’m not lying to you.
Steffy: So you’re telling me you hope just walked in on you in your underwear? You know, we have a– a locker room, by the way.
Thomas: You know what? Forget I said anything.
Steffy: Like I could ever.
Thomas: I’m serious, stef. We don’t need the whole office gossiping about hope saying that I’m hot. All right? And we won’t want anybody getting the wrong idea.
Steffy: Yeah, well, if finn can keep a secret, so can I.
Thomas: Great.
Finn: Hope thinks you’re hot, huh?
Steffy: I guess hope and paris walked in on my brother in his underwear.
Finn: Ah.
Steffy: Yeah. And I guess they agreed that he’s hot.
Thomas: Okay. Can we just drop it?
Steffy: Just be happy that finn walked in and not hope. I’m sure liam wouldn’t be too thrilled to hear about it.
Hope: Oh, hey, you.
Liam: Hey. Am I, uh, am I interrupting?
Hope: Uh, no. We’re just– we’re finalizing some looks for the preview.
Paris: Yeah. Your girl is gonna kill it, liam. You gotta be so proud of her.
Liam: Oh, always.
Paris: Okay. Well, we’ll let you guys have a minute.
Hope: Okay. But, uh, you’ll give alteration those notes by the end of the day.
Paris: Yeah, having it down there right now.
Petra: And I’ll be back in a bit with the next look.
Hope: Thank you so much ladies. Thank you.
Liam: Good meeting you.
Hope: Bye.
[ Hope squealing ] I’m so happy you’re here. I could use the break. Yes. The day has been really, really crazy.
Liam: Yeah. You’ve been, uh, you’ve been putting in the hours.
Hope: Mm-hmm. And it is exhausting yet exhilarating.
Liam: I am so proud of you. And all your hard work is so obviously paying off and I’m– I’m just– I wanna support you any way I can. I mean, if– if– if I’m being honest, um, this preview can’t be over soon enough just because of all the, you know, day in and day out. You’re with thomas. I feel like I’m on the outside looking in and, um, it’s– it’s not a great feeling.
Steffy: Are you sure it was hope who said you were hot? Not charlie?
Thomas: Ha! You’re very funny. Look, I– I’m– I’m flattered. It’s no secret what I think of hope.
Steffy: I know. I just don’t want you to get your hopes up.
Thomas: They’re not. My focus is on the line, hope for the future and being an amazing father to my son. That’s it.
Steffy: Good. That should be your top priority.
Thomas: Douglas would love nothing better though.
Finn: Than what?
Thomas: That’s just what he’s been saying lately. You know, he– he loves seeing how well hope and i have been getting along.
Steffy: Okay. Well, there’s a difference between getting along and getting obsessed. Just don’t lose perspective.
Thomas: Yeah.
Finn: I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Thomas: I’m not. Look, I– I– I think the whole thing is sweet, you know. And douglas, he was even saying how– how he wishes that– that hope and me could– could love each other. Kids, huh?
Steffy: There you go again.
Thomas: There you go what?
Steffy: That look.
Thomas: What look?
Steffy: I see that look. I know that look. It’s not a good look.
Thomas: Okay. Relax.
Steffy: I’m not gonna relax. You’ve worked so hard on yourself. I don’t want you to go backwards.
Thomas: I’m not.
Steffy: Be honest.
Thomas: I am!
Steffy: Thomas, do you really think hope’s gonna leave liam to be with you? She’s in a committed marriage.
Finn: And they have a kid together.
Thomas: Well, so do hope and I.
Steffy: Okay. You can’t entertain this. No. Do you have any idea what you’re doing?
Thomas: I’m not doing anything.
Steffy: Thomas, you are in a really good place right now. You have douglas full time. You can’t be obsessed with hope.
Thomas: I’m not obsessed with hope. Okay? And this isn’t about me going after her. She’s the one that said that I’m hot.
Hope: I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself.
Liam: Y– yeah, I know. Of course, you are. That’s not what I’m saying. I know you can take care of yourself.
Hope: Okay. So then there shouldn’t be anything that you’re anxious about when it comes to thomas.
Liam: Okay. But no– but that– see that– when you talk that way, that does worry me because we’ve always been anxious about thomas and for damn good reason. Namely all the terrible things he’s done, some of which have occurred in this very building. Do you remember the roof?
Hope: Oh my gosh.
Liam: With the helicopter when he literally tried to kidnap you and assaulted me?

Hope: Oh my god.
Liam: I mean, how many tears did we shed when he let us believe that our daughter was dead? This is that guy. It’s the same guy. And you keep saying it’s fine. It’s not fine.
Hope: Liam, people are capable of change.
Liam: And that’s what you said the last time. It turned out he didn’t change. Why are we debating this?
Hope: I don’t know, honestly. But please stop. I know what I’m doing.
Liam: Do you?
Hope: Yes.
Liam: Really? Because your mom sees it. I see it. I mean, like, I know how important it is to you for this preview to be successful. I want it to be successful, but hope, look at what it’s– look at what it’s already cost us. Right? Douglas hasn’t been home in forever. And my god, you’re about to spend the weekend with thomas and our two children. And I’m not invited.
Hope: Oh, I’m sorry because douglas wants to have his parents in the same room together every now and then.
Liam: No. No, that is not what this is. This is thomas using douglas to get closer to you, like he’s always done.
Hope: No, he’s not.
Liam: Yes! Yes, he is. And you just– I don’t know why, but you don’t wanna see it. But this is the same guy. He has not changed.
Hope: What do you want me to do? My preview is tomorrow and thomas is my lead designer. I can’t just switch him out like this.
Liam: Yeah, no, I know. Yeah. I don’t know what I– I don’t even know what I want you to do. I– I– you’re under a lot of pressure and I do get that. I do.
Hope: Do you? Do you really? Because I am so stressed right now that this is the last thing that I need.
Liam: Yeah, you’re right. I’m sorry. I just– I don’t want anything bad to happen. I don’t– I don’t want you to get hurt or worse.
Hope: Liam, listen to me, please. Hey, look at me. Look at me. I’m fine. I need you to trust me. Okay? Nothing bad is going to happen. It’s okay. It’s going to be okay.
Liam: Okay. All right. I’ll tell– uh, how– how about this– how about this? I can be– I really can be good with all of this. I can. If you– if you can just promise me one thing: That after this preview is over and you’ve succeeded phenomenally, you just– you– you just try– try to help me convince douglas to come home. Can you promise me that? (Birds chirping)
Finn: You and thomas are hilarious together. The way you two bicker.
Steffy: I know. I thought we would’ve grown out of it by now. Bet you, uh, are happy you don’t have an annoying little sister.
Finn: No, that wouldn’t be so bad. I kinda feel like I missed out on the whole sibling rivalry thing.
Steffy: I just worry about him. You know, I’m always looking out for him. I try not to be overbearing. But–
Finn: You say overbearing, I say caring.
Steffy: He’s been through a lot and I– I don’t want him to backslide.
Finn: You’re a good sister, steffy.
Steffy: I know I am. But I was really excited for him to leave so I could have some alone time with my hot, sexy husband.
Finn: It’s funny you say that because I was thinking the exact same thing.
Liam: I don’t know what I’m getting. Order whatever you want, by the way. It’s on me.
Bill: That’s still not gonna make up for you missing our meetings this morning.
Liam: I know.
Bill: What was so important that you missed work?
Liam: I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It– it was– I– I got caught up at forrester for one.
Bill: No. No, I’m sorry. That’s my bad. That’s right. It was the– the big fashion preview and being a supportive husband. Good for you.
Liam: Ha! I was trying to be the supportive husband. It’s the whole potential for disaster aspect it’s not sitting great with me.
Bill: Let me guess. What did that wacko thomas do now?
Liam: It’s– you know what? It’s not even something I can put my finger on. It’s just the same damn feeling over and over again at the pit of my stomach where I– I think he’s warming his way deeper and deeper into hope’s life and she doesn’t see it.
Hope: Everything looks great to me. And you’ll be sure to get it to the buyers before the showing?
Justin: Oh yes. It’s pretty boilerplate. I just wanted to update before it went out. Add a few protections for the line.
Hope: Thank you, justin.
Justin: Yes, indeed. I’ll email you once they’re all back inside.
Hope: Perfect.
Justin: Sounds good. All right.
Thomas: You know, I think I’m gonna snip this up a bit, hope if you’re okay with that. Obviously, you get the say.
Hope: Um, I mean, it’s– it’s beautiful, but I say yeah, go for it.
Thomas: Okay. Cool.
Petra: Thomas, you really are super talented.
Thomas: Thanks. But you make my job easy.
Petra: Well, I’m not sure if you have any plans after the preview, but I was thinking maybe we could grab a drink to celebrate?
[ Thomas chuckles softly]
Thomas: Um, you know, actually I– I’ve been so focused on the preview I haven’t as much time with my son as I’d wish, so I’ll probably be tucking him in, but I appreciate the offer.
Petra: No worries. It’s nice to know you’re not just a hot designer, but a– a great dad too.
Hope: Thank you, petra.
Petra: Thanks.
Thomas: Wow.
[ Hope chuckling ]
Hope: You know, I think we’ve made a lot of progress. Not only on the line, but also as parents.
Thomas: Yeah, me too.
Hope: And I just want you to know that I’ve seen all the progress that you’ve made in the past year, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. I really genuinely appreciate all of your support and enthusiasm and, uh, I don’t know you just– you’ve really grown, not only as an artist, but as a father.
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Steffy: I love it when you visit me at work.
Finn: Well, I have the rest of the day off, I was hoping I could talk you into coming home with me.
Steffy: Ugh! I wish.
Finn: We could build a fire. I’ll cook you dinner. Rub your shoulder.
Steffy: Oh, you’re making it impossible for me to say no.
Finn: That’s the goal.
Steffy: As much as I’d love to come home with you, the preview is tomorrow for hope. And as co-ceo, I kinda have to stick around.
Finn: I figured. Just thought I’d give it a shot.
Steffy: Will you at least stay up for me? We can spend some time together.
Finn: Absolutely. I’ll make dinner and keep it warm for you.
Steffy: You really are from another planet.
Finn: Hopefully you won’t have to stay too late.
Steffy: I don’t think so. Hope and thomas seem to be on top of everything. And the way thomas is talking this shift in hope, now they’re getting along and the things hope is saying about thomas, I wonder if liam has any idea.
Bill: You see now you ruined my lunch, I can’t even eat. Well, what is hope thinking about spending an entire weekend with that psycho?
Liam: It’s douglas. It’s– it was douglas’ request. I mean, obviously, hope’s gonna stay in her own room like– like before, but this time it’s the whole weekend.
Bill: Nope! Uh-uh. You cannot let that happen.
Liam: Dad, what am i supposed to say? Douglas wants to spend more family time with his real parents.
Bill: Real– real parents? Douglas is a kid. Since when do kids call the shots? And as far as real parents is concerned, you were a dad to douglas while his father was kissing mannequins.
Liam: I know. I know. Honestly, the truth is, I’m not putting any of this on douglas. This is thomas. This is thomas pulling all the strings.
Bill: And hope is just– just okay letting this happen. She’s fine being a puppet.
Liam: Yeah. She doesn’t see a problem with it. And more than that, she’s just doing what a parent does, which is just all– all she cares about is her kid being happy.
Bill: But this is– this is beyond my, I want my kid happy. This isn’t that. Right? This one can go south. Get dicey real fast.
Liam: You think I don’t know that? I’ve been saying that. I just– no. You know what? If– if we just– if I get through the preview, hopefully, things will go back to normal.
Bill: Liam, there is nothing normal where thomas is concerned.
Thomas: I am totally committed to the line and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, hope.
Hope: You think we’re ready?
Thomas: For the preview? Yeah.
Hope: Oh gosh, I’m nervous.
Thomas: Don’t be.
Hope: Really? I mean, you’re not even just like a little bit nervous?
Thomas: Well, I mean, yeah, I– I mean, I got the butterflies, but I’m just excited.
Hope: I– look, I know this isn’t my first preview, obviously. Uh, but it just-feels like it’s at such a pivotal moment of my career.
Thomas: We are all set. All right. Katie has invited the most influential people. The buzz is huge.
Hope: Well, we need rave reviews and people to feel inspired. Not to mention all the buyers need to place really big orders.
Thomas: Okay, I understand. I– I know the feeling of being all stressed out, but we’ve got nothing to stress out about. All right? It’s not– not just my confidence in– in my designs, it’s in your vision. This vision that you brought to life. And that vision follows a beautiful, wonderful woman. This woman that’s right in front of me. And I can see that so clearly.
[ Audience clapping ] You out there on the runway, me watching proudly. The show will be flawless. The audience will be blown away. Jaws will drop. Applause will fill the air. It will be one of the greatest moments of our lives.
Hope: I really hope you’re right.
Thomas: I know I’m right. They’ll love you, hope. How can they not? Hey, tomorrow, hope. Tomorrow.
