Deacon: Daddy’s back. Mm.
Brooke: This is so unexpected. Seems like it came out of nowhere.
Hope: Well, because it did. I mean, there was no heads-up from thomas. Just, “I think douglas should live with me.” Just like that. Like it’s no big deal.
Brooke: Thomas fully signed off on the shared custody agreement. It’s been in place for a long time now.
Hope: Yeah, and it’s been great. And– and I am not opposed to douglas spending time with his father. In fact, I’ve encouraged it. I welcome it. It’s good for douglas to be around thomas. But moving out permanently, and changing his living situation on a whim, I– that– that is wrong.
Brooke: I totally agree with you.
Hope: Have you… talked to ridge about it? Or…?
Taylor: You know, it’s so beautiful outside today. The sky is clear.
Steffy: Uh-huh.
Taylor: Not a security guard in sight!
Steffy: Uh, I am not taking that for granted.
Taylor: Mm-mm. I’m glad finn’s going back to work.

Deacon: Mm. Debra, last night was wild. You were like an animal. You couldn’t get enough of me. Not that I’m complaining, because I’m happy to oblige. Mm… mm.
Brooke: Yes, ridge and i spoke. Let’s just hope this blows over quickly and thomas comes to his senses and realizes that douglas is better off with you.
Hope: Should’ve heard him last night. He seems pretty determined. And I don’t think he’s going to change his mind.
Brooke: Okay. Well, is thomas really ready for that big commitment?
Hope: Thomas wants to play a primary role in his son’s upbringing.
Brooke: He doesn’t have to go to such extremes. Like I told ridge, douglas belongs here with you, liam, and beth.
Steffy: Talk about timing. Mom and I were just talking about you.
Ridge: Oh! Your favorite subject.
Taylor: Ha! Sometimes.

Steffy: Haha. So, how was your talk with brooke about, uh, thomas and douglas?
Ridge: I knew you were going to ask me that.
Steffy: I can only imagine how it went.
Ridge: Brooke is in favor of keeping douglas where he is.
Steffy: Of course she is.
Ridge: We’re never going to see eye-to-eye on that.
Steffy: Well, I hope she didn’t cause you too much trouble.
Ridge: She wasn’t happy. Especially when I told her about us… kissing in monaco. When hurting feet make you want to stop,
Deacon: Man, I needed that last night. Something tells me you did, too. So, you gonna tell me your name? You didn’t say a word last night. At least nothing that’s intelligible. I think it’s hot. You know, you’re kinky. I like it.
Debra: You have no idea, darling.
Hope: Mom, I do not want this to cause some rift between you and ridge.
Brooke: Honey! Don’t worry about us. We can survive anything.
Brooke: Besides, you are my daughter. And I will always stand by you and your children.
Hope: Thank you.
Brooke: Yes, of course.
Hope: I don’t know, mom. It’s just… like… look at this beautiful home that we’ve built for ourselves. It just– it finally felt like– like we had all settled in. Yeah, all of us. It– it felt safe and comfortable and there was a routine, and now thomas just wants to interrupt the day-to-day?
Brooke: It’s not fair to anybody, especially to douglas!
Hope: But douglas does get sad when his father isn’t around. And then that makes thomas feel guilty and…
Brooke: Okay, okay, so thomas can step up other ways. Right? He can drive douglas to school more often. He can show up at more of his games. Just not when it’s convenient.
Hope: Thomas has been making more of an effort and– and I– I– I do want to reach some kind of compromise.
Brooke: Honey, I know you’ve always wanted thomas to build a relationship with douglas.
Hope: I mean, I’m thrilled that he wants to be more hands-on. Douglas needs that. He deserves that.
Brooke: That’s great! But he doesn’t have to move over to eric’s house with him.
Hope: And this whole forrester thing, I mean, what does it matter who is a forrester and who isn’t? What matters is douglas. The focus should be on douglas and what he wants, what he needs. And I have never heard him ask to live with his father before.
Brooke: He’s too young to make a decision like that.
Hope: Well, exactly! That is the last thing that I want. I do not want some big custody battle, mom. And I–
[ Brooke sighing ]
Hope: I just really don’t want this to get, you know, brought up in your relationship and have it become a thing.
Brooke: Oh, stop. It’s not going to. I’m not gonna let it. I’m determined not to let it. Especially now since taylor’s circling around… waiting to strike again.
Hope: Wait, waiting to strike again?
Brooke: I don’t know, it seems like she’s looking for every opportunity in the book. And I think she’s found her opening.
Hope: So, something already happened?
Brooke: Oh… I’m really trying not to give it any energy.
Hope: Mm-hmm.
Brooke: You know what I mean? I just– I know ridge loves me. I’m very confident with that. Okay. Okay, yes. Yes, something happened between ridge and taylor. They kissed. In monaco.
Steffy: You came clean about your kiss with mom?
Ridge: Yeah! Had to be honest with brooke.
Steffy: How did she react? Did she freak out like usual?
Ridge: No, she did not freak out. Uh, but she was upset.
Steffy: She doesn’t have a right to be.
Ridge: Of course she has a right to be! She’s my wife.
Steffy: She’s a hypocrite. Look how many times you’ve looked past all these kisses.
Ridge: Brooke knows exactly who she is, she’s very self-aware.
[ Taylor clearing throat ]
Ridge: We’ve forgiven each other a lot of things, including this thing with deacon. I let that go!
Steffy: Yeah, yeah, deacon. And, um, bill. And thorne and– and grandad.
Ridge: What are you doing?
Steffy: I’m just–
Ridge: Just naming names now? Is that?
Steffy: Yeah, well–
Taylor: We’re not going to sit here and name names, ridge. We’d be here all day.
Ridge: Wow.
Steffy: Yeah, we’re not gonna do that. Especially, that was– you know, it was more than kisses. It–
Ridge: So, what are we doing? Just a laundry list of all the things of all the things that brooke’s done wrong?
Steffy: Brooke has let you–
Ridge: I’ve let her down too! I’m not a saint.
Steffy: If she–
Taylor: You’re kind of a boy scout in comparison.
Steffy: Okay, if she’s giving you a hard time about kissing–
Ridge: She’s not giving me a hard time! What happened in monaco is behind us. She’s forgiven me for it. Okay? (Vo) when you live with moderate to severe crohn’s disease
Hope: Ridge and taylor kissed?
Brooke: Uh, they got caught up. I– I think his words were something like, “they forgot themselves,” or…
[ Hope laughing ] Uh… mom, ridge is still your husband. Are you not upset about this?
Brooke: I know. I’m trying not to be, honey, ’cause I know ridge didn’t do it on purpose. He didn’t do it to hurt me.
Hope: Okay, so then how did it even happen?
Brooke: They had just arrived in monaco. And they were looking all over for steffy.
Hope: And I’m sure they were really worried but–
Brooke: Yeah, they couldn’t find her. They were looking all over the place. But then… they found them. And– and finn and steffy, they were reunited. And they were there with the kids and… I– I don’t know. Apparently, they got swept up in the miracle that finn was alive and what that meant for steffy.
Taylor: So, brooke forgave you? That’s smart.
Steffy: Yeah, dad. Brooke’s in no position to be judging you over one kiss with mom.
Ridge: I…
[ Ridge sighing ] I heard you. I heard both of you. But what I don’t want is this to turn into some brooke bash fest. Can we maybe not do that?
Steffy: We’re not bashing her. Well… I mean, we’re stating facts. And sometimes I feel like you need to be reminded of those–
Ridge: No, you– I don’t need to be reminded. I’m aware of everything that’s going on. I– that’s what I just said. I know what’s going on. I know what’s going on here. I– I know that thomas wants to be with douglas. I get it!
Taylor: And you made it clear, also, that– that you support your son and your grandson, because there’s no reason that thomas and douglas shouldn’t be living together.
Ridge: Yes! And I– I did. I ma– I made it clear. But that doesn’t mean that brooke doesn’t have a point. She– she wants what’s best for douglas. She’s around him all the time. And she’s concerned about him, and hope, and her family.
Steffy: Yeah, exactly! Brooke’s concerned about her family. Hope, her daughter. The logans. It’s never about you. It just– it drives me crazy sometimes, dad. Like, the way you talk about them, it’s just– it’s insane to me.
Ridge: What– what is insane to you? What– what did I just say?
Steffy: You just cut brooke so much slack. I now know how fleeting life can be. And I just feel like you’re wasting your time. I mean, our family has been years just wasted on brooke because she’s so obsessed with you.
Ridge: I–
Steffy: And now thomas– thomas wants to raise douglas, but he can’t because hope and brooke won’t allow it.
Ridge: No, I– what– I… that– but I’m agreeing with you. That’s exactly what I said. That’s what I want to happen. I want these guys to be together!
Steffy: But dad, you are not putting your foot down. You’re not doing it.
Steffy: You need to stand up and leave this family and you need to stop defending brooke! Get douglas. Get him and bring him back to thomas. And go back to mom. I know I’ve said this a million times, but it’s true! You guys have such wonderful history. And look at this. The way you look at mom. I mean, I just saw it. I mean, come on. Dad, remember how you feel when you look at her. Okay, I’m gonna go check on hayes. But think about what I just said. Both of you.
Ridge: That was, um…
Taylor: She means well. She really does. Okay?
Ridge: Yeah, I’m sure.
Taylor: Hey.
[ Exhaling ] Everything’s okay. You know, I am a completely different person than I was when we were married.
Ridge: So am I.
Deacon: You know, I’m hungry, but not for food.
[ Both chuckling ]
[ Debra laughs seductively ] Does that feel good? Mm. You’re not ticklish, are you? Whoa. What happened there? What happened to your toe? Want your clothes to smell freshly
Hope: I totally get how incredible it must’ve been for ridge and taylor to find out that finn was alive, but–
Brooke: Yeah. They were overcome with emotion and gratitude.
Hope: Yes! That– when we found out, we were so amazed that, you know, we took a picture together.
[ Chuckles softly ]
Hope: But we did not kiss taylor. So, what are you saying? That ridge just happened to forget that he was married, again?
Brooke: Okay! Okay. I will admit that I was shocked when he filled me in. But it’s not like I haven’t made mistakes in the past, honey.
Hope: Okay. Mom, mom. I love you and I respect you for trying to take the high road, but this– this is me here. How do you really feel about taylor kissing your husband?
Taylor: I’ve been thinking about our kiss a lot.
Ridge: I have, too.
Taylor: Yeah. What happened? You– you moved back home. To live in the moment. And… it seems that you’ve been here a lot. And I don’t know. Maybe it’S… maybe it’s steffy and the kids. Maybe it’s me. Who knows. You do seem happier when you’re here. I don’t think I’m wrong.
Ridge: I don’t think you are.
Taylor: Do you remember when you proposed to me in st. Thomas?
Ridge: Hmm.
Taylor: You– you tracked me down, halfway across the world, and pledged your undying love to me.
Ridge: Yeah, I remember that day. And I meant what I said.
Taylor: I know you did. But somehow it’s like our– our history has been erased. Our whole love story, it’s just gone. And– and it’s like it’s just always been brooke. You know? But that’s changing. And there’s feelings that are coming up now, like… old feelings, and we’re both feeling it. And it’s confusing, I know. But it’s been like that since I’ve been back. We both feel it. Ridge, I– I– I just want you to be happy. You know that’s what I want. And I– of course I wish it was with me. But if it’s with brooke, okay. But are you– are you happy? Do you want to be in that house with brooke and hope and liam? Is that where you want to be? Hmm? ‘Cause I– I don’t think it is.
Deacon: What happened here? What happened to your toe?
Brooke: Sheila carter is dead.
Deacon: Unbelievable. Killed by a bear.
Brooke: Detective said that her toe and all of the evidence that was found is conclusive.
