Steffy: Thank god. My sweet husband.
Hope: Liam’s my husband, mom, I’m not worried.
Brooke: I’m not saying you should be, sweetheart, but situations like this. Steffy’s husband died, tragically.
Hope: Which steffy still knows nothing about. Mom, she remembers nothing about that night.
Brooke: But when she does, when she starts to remember everything.
Hope: Everyone that loves her will be there to help her through it.
Brooke: Including liam?
Hope: Yes, including liam. That’s the way it should be.
Steff: I need you.
Bridget: I’ve dealt with cases where the trauma of the event was so devastating, the patient blocks it out entirely.
Taylor: Yeah, I’ve dealt with that in my practice too. When it’s your own daughter?
Bridget: I know. On one hand, you wish you could just never tell her what happened. Spare her all that heartache and pain. But the reality is–
Taylor: Finn is gone.
Bridget: Right.
Taylor: Someone took him from us, from everybody that loved him. My daughter, most of all. I just– I just keep wondering if she’s ever going to remember what happened. I–
Carter: What did you say?
Quinn: Oh, come on. Don’t pretend you didn’t hear me.
Carter: I don’t know. You whispered– I don’t– I don’t know if I got that.
Quinn: Wh– okay, so. Fine. So you need me to say it louder? Is that it? I need to be– I need to be louder. Fine! I miss you, too.
[ Sighing ]
Carter: I’ll try not to let it go to my head.
Quinn: Well… you said at first, mr.
Carter: That I miss you? It’s true.
Quinn: And your involvement with paris?
Carter: I did what had to be done, I ended it.
Quinn: For her sake?
Carter: Yes, for her sake. She’d be much happier with zende. He can give her everything she deserves, and more.
Quinn: I don’t disagree with that. But now that things are over with paris, and I mean, they are over, right?
Carter: Yes, they are over.
Quinn: I am so glad to hear that.
Bridget: Well, obviously, you know, we’re going to continue to monitor steffy very closely. And I don’t have to tell you that we need to proceed cautiously. But ridge has really been trying to get steffy to remember who did this to finn and her. And I understand why. But I–
Taylor: But we can’t thrust the horror of what happened to her. She’s– she’s too weak, physically and emotionally.
Bridget: Exactly. I’m really relieved to hear you say that. I’m glad we agree. I’m going to go check on her. Okay?
Taylor: Thank you.
Brooke: Oh, sweetheart, I– I’m not trying to make you feel insecure or question liam’s feelings for steffy–
Hope: Mom, look, liam loves steffy, and he has always been honest with me about that and himself. They share a daughter together, and their love for kelly bonds them together the same way that liam and I– we have a daughter that we thought was lost to us. And now we have a wonderful family. And liam’s ring is on my finger. Not steffy’S.
Steffy: You mean so much to me. My husband by my side.
Bridget: What’s going on?
Steffy: Telling him how much I need him. How much I need my husband. Oh, man, that’s a whole lot of wrinkly.
Carter: So you’re glad that paris and I are over?
[ Quinn scoffing ]
Quinn: For all the obvious reasons. Your relationship with zende, your relationship with the forresters, uh, oh, uh, not to mention the little fact that that woman tried to blow up my life. What happened between us almost caused irreparable damage between you and ridge, you and eric. And now, if they were to– they were to find out that you were doing an end run around zende, trying to lure poor, sweet paris into your love nest?
Carter: Wow. Poor paris into my love nest? That is not what’s happening–
Quinn: I am sure that you didn’t do the luring. I’m sure that it was– it was mutual. And the two of you couldn’t fight your attraction to each other. Why? Why does that sound so familiar?
Carter: You talking about you and me?
Quinn: What happened between us, it’s in the past.
Carter: Mm hm.
Quinn: But I have to admit that I– I do, I do miss– I do miss our talks. The way we used to confide in each other. I don’t have a lot of friends. I know– surprise, surprise, but, um, there’s definitely been a void in my life since– since you and I stopped spending time with each other.
Hope: I’m lucky, mom. I have my husband. You– liam is safe. My family is safe. Our lives didn’t change in the blink of an eye.
Brooke: So many blessings to count.
Hope: Whereas steffy’s world will never be the same. Frankly, I mean– who could blame her if she never wants to remember th– that horrific night ever again? And if she does recall those awful moments, then– how does she handle that? I mean, how do you hear that your husband is gone and never coming back?
Taylor: Oh, honey, I know. I know you want to be here at the hospital, but douglas needs you there too. No, babe, just– just help him with his homework, and I’ll call you if anything changes. All right? Okay. I love you, too. Bye. Hi.
Sheila: Hey. I’m sorry, I didn’t– I didn’t mean to interrupt your phone call.
Taylor: No, it’s okay. I was just, uh, I needed to check in on thomas. Let him know what was going on.
Sheila: How’s– how’s steffy? I gather she’s still not remembering anything?
Taylor: No. No, not as far as that night is concerned. Everything is just a– it’s a blank for her. Oh, I’m so sorry, sheila. I know you are as anxious for steffy to remember what happened so she can tell us who did this as we are. But I promise you, we’re– we’re going to find out who did this. And we are going to put them behind bars for the rest of their lives. Come here.
Bridget: Very grateful to have your husband here with you, steffy?
Steffy: Yes. I knew liam would come.
Bridget: Honey? Do you remember anything else about that night?
Steffy: No. No. I’m trying, but…
Bridget: I think we need to give steffy some rest.

Quinn: I– nobody understands me the way that you do.

Quinn: He’s been spending a lot of time working from home. Specifically the guest house, and, uh– he sleeps there quite often.
Carter: Is there A… is there still a problem?
Quinn: I love eric. He’s my husband. And I’m committed to him.
Carter: And I get that. But you still didn’t answer my question. Is there still a problem in your marriage, something going on that you can’t talk about, even with me?
Brooke: Sheila, ah. I didn’t expect you to be here. Is everything all right, taylor?
Taylor: Yep.
Sheila: I think what brooke really means to say is I don’t belong here.
Taylor: Well, of course you belong here. You’re hayes’ grandmother. You just lost your son. And you’re worried about finn’s little boy.
Sheila: And finn’s wife. I’m also concerned about steffy.
[ Hope clearing throat ]
Taylor: Oh, ridge, how’s steffy?
Ridge: Uh, well–
Hope: Has she remembered anything more?
Taylor: What is going on?
Ridge: You– you wanna…
Taylor: What’s going on?
Liam: So…
Taylor: Did my daughter take a turn for the worse?
Bridget: No, no, no. Steffy’s condition has not worsened. No, it– it’s nothing like that at all.
Taylor: OkaY. Thank god.
Ridge: But there is a change.
Brooke: What kind of change?
Bridget: Well, uh, it’s memory deficit. It’s, uh, a little more problematic than we initially realized.
Taylor: What you mean, problematic?
Ridge: That’s–
Bridget: Well, first of all, we all know that steffy does not remember how she and finn got shot, right?
Sheila: Ar– are you saying that that’s the way it’s going to stay, that– that she’s never going to regain her memory?
Bridget: No, no, I’m not– I’m not saying that at all, uh-
Taylor: What are you saying, bridget, please, just tell– tell us, please.
Bridget: This actually has more to do with liam.
Liam: Yeah–
Ridge: All right, li–
Liam: Okay, go.
Ridge: Liam came in the room and she– she was very grateful to see him.
Hope: Well, of course she would be, liam is important to her. This is kelly’s father, they were married.
Liam: Okay, all right, so that, um, that’s the thing.
Hope: What?
Liam: Uh, steffy now thinks, what she thinks–
Hope: Liam, what is it?
Liam: I– okay, so I come into the room and she’s really emotional, right? And– and she’s saying things like, you know, “oh, my god, I’m so glad you’re here. And– and, and I need you. And I need– I need my husband and…” hope, I’m pretty sure that steffy thinks that she and I are still married. Medusa lived with a hideous curse.
Quinn: I could always talk to you about anything. It’s what drew us together in the first place. It was always so easy between us. And I never had to be anyone but myself with you. It was– it was such a refreshing relief, knowing that you didn’t want to change me.
Carter: Why would I want to change you? And you can be yourself around eric too. He doesn’t want to change you either.
Quinn: Yes, but…
Carter: But what?
Quinn: You know what? I didn’t come here to get into all of that. I just came here to give you back your damn key, which I’ve done. So now I’m gonna leave and let you get back to work.
Carter: You sure the key wasn’t just an excuse?
Quinn: Okay. Also, I missed my friend. I know we see each other here at work, but it’s, you know, it’s just– it’s not the same thing.
Carter: And is that what we still are? Friends?
Quinn: I’d like to think so.
Carter: You know what I think?
Quinn: Hmm.
Carter: I think there’s not a woman in this world that is like you. You’re an original among originals.
Quinn: Oh, and don’t you forget it.
Carter: I haven’T. And never will.
Carter: Mm.
Nurse: Your blood pressure is slightly elevated. How are you feeling?
Steffy: Better if my husband was with me. Ask liam to come back right away.
Nurse: Okay, just relax. We’re going to get him. One second.
Hope: Steffy still thinks she’s married to you?
Brooke: What? So she has no recollection of finn whatsoever?
Liam: I don’t think so.
Taylor: But, what about hayes? Does she–
Ridge: Our daughter doesn’t think she has a little boy with finn.
Taylor: Oh my– oh my god.
Brooke: Well, you’re going to tell her, aren’t you?
Hope: She deserves to know what happened to finn.
Taylor: Okay, I– I don’t think that’s a good idea. And I– I’m speaking as a psychiatrist right now. S–steffy is going through a tremendous amount of trauma, and I don’t think we should–
Brooke: Yeah, but to let her go on believing that she’s liam’s wife, when he’s married to hope. I mean, that’s crazy. Uh– bridget, what do you think? Should steffy be told about finn?
Bridget: Mom, there are no easy answers here. Given steffy’s current condition and how fragile she is, I do have to agree with taylor here. We cannot dredge up steffy’s trauma. Not yet.
Nurse: Excuse me. Well, ms. Forrester’s asking for her husband.
[ Hope sighing ]
Liam: Yeah. Okay. We– I mean, we don’t want to upset her. We know that, right? Because her– her condition is fragile, like you just said. Maybe the best thing right now is just let keep believing what she’s believing. I–I– okay. Here we go.
Steffy: Oh, thank god. I thought you might have left.
Liam: I didn’t leave, I told you I was– I was right outside those doors. I didn’t go anywhere.
Steffy: I– I was so scared, liam. I– I was shot?
Liam: Um, yeah, you were. Yeah, but, but you know something? You’re going to be okay. Everything’s going to be okay. Listen to me. You are an extraordinary woman, and you are going to be 100%, in no time. You just got to tell me you believe that.
Steffy: I do. I do. I believe you.
Liam: Good.
Steffy: Yeah, as long as I have you, my husband, by my side. Just please tell me you’re not going to leave me. Please tell me I’m not going to be alone?
Liam: I’m not going to leave you. And you’re not going to be alone.
