Deacon: I know that you’ve always believed that ridge is your destiny. But how much longer can you chase this? You need a guy who is not going to bail on you when things get tough and is not going to run into the arms of his ex, when they do. Look, ridge needs to grow the hell up. I mean, I’m sorry, but he needs to quit pitting you against taylor. And he needs to stop putting conditions on his love. A man who truly sees you would never do that. You need a man like me. I’m who you need in your life, brooke. Because I see you.
Steffy: You can’t let brooke get to you, mom. She’s desperate. She’s going to say anything to try to undermine you and dad.
Taylor: She’s fighting for her marriage.
[ Steffy scoffs ]
Steffy: A marriage she threw away.
[ Door clicking ]
Thomas: Hey, mom, I thought you were still at the office.
Steffy: She had a visit from brooke.
Thomas: Ah.
Taylor: As you can imagine, she’s, she’s not very happy with me.
Steffy: Let me guess. She thinks that you’re trying to seduce dad away from her.
Thomas: Oh, please, that is brooke’s playbook, not mom’S. She just can’t handle the fact that dad wants to be here with mom and our family. Not her.
Taylor: Well, she actually thinks that all of this is temporary because your father still loves her.
[ Thomas sighs ]
Hope: I realize that you told my mother that you can’t do it anymore, that despite the love that you have for her, she’s made it impossible for you. And that’s because of–
[ Sighs ] Well, because of my dad. And because she keeps defending him. But ridge, please, you have to understand, that is because of me, because she knows how much I want a relationship with my dad.
Ridge: I do understand that. What makes you think I don’t? I get it. I always got it. What makes you think I don’t?
Hope: Ridge, please. Can I just finish? I get that you and I don’t always see eye to eye, but I can see that you still love my mom and she is desperately in love with you, so let that be enough. Let that be enough for the two of you to come together again and to work through whatever it is the two of you need to work through. Just tell me that you’ll try. I don’t want this to be some impulsive decision where you just throw it all away, where you don’t even work to save what the two of you had before that awful night.
Brooke: Unlike you,

[ Sighs ]
Sheila: Oh, if you only knew the truth, brooke. But you never will.
Thomas: Don’t listen to brooke.
Steffy: Yeah, she just wants you to doubt what dad’s saying.
Thomas: Yeah, it’s killing her, knowing that dad wants to come home to you and not to her. I mean, look, we– stef and I see this. We see the kind of peace you bring to dad’s life. Alright, you’re like an oasis for him. You bring him happiness and fulfillment.
Steffy: Brooke can think that dad still loves her, but thomas is right. When dad looks at you, you can see the love in his eyes, a love he’ll only have for you.
Ridge: Hope, I appreciate what you’re trying to do.
Hope: She wasn’t herself that night.
Ridge: No, she wasn’T. She was drinking. Right? That’s the thing.
Hope: Oh, come on. I mean, don’t you have questions? I mean, even mom has questions that she doesn’t have the answer to. And I am not, I’m not excusing her behavior, but she did take accountability for what happened that night, and she is getting help so something like that will hopefully never happen again.
Ridge: And we are all very proud of her for that. Excuse me.
Hope: Ridge, you were so supportive of her then. You were going to meetings with her. You stood by her. Why can’t you stand by her now?
Ridge: Because this is not the same thing. How is it the same thing?
Hope: Okay, okay, fine. But there is one thing I know, and that is that there is no other man for my mother but you, ridge. And there will never be another man.
Deacon: Will you indulge me for a second and just think back, all those years ago, how amazing we were? We could have that again. I’m offering you a real partnership, brooke. I’m talking about giving you my total devotion, my undying loyalty. Two things you will never have to question or doubt. Thomas: So, mom, did you ever imagine this when you came back to L.A.? Having a fresh start with dad?
Steffy: Dad was in trouble, and it was because of brooke and the train wreck that she is.
Thomas: Yeah.
Steffy: He needed a way out.
Thomas: And that’s what you give him.
Steffy: Mm-hm.
Thomas: You give him a way out.
Taylor: You know, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen myself as a way out. I–
Steffy: You know what we mean.
Thomas: Yeah.
Taylor: Yes, I– I’m glad that your father feels comfortable turning to me. But right now, we’re just taking it moment to moment. The rest we’ll see.
Thomas: Well, you’re like a safe harbor for him, mom.
[ Sighs ]
Steffy: And now, it seems like he’s ready to chart his own course. I know that’s what you’ve been hoping for. Not that you need a man to have like a happy, fulfilling life, but–
Thomas: Right, but when dad is that man… you have this whole history together. You have children and grandchildren. That’s got to feel pretty perfect.
Taylor: You know what else feels perfect? Family. Family means everything to ridge and me. Our family means everything.
Steffy: We feel the same way.
Thomas: Yeah, I just hope that now things can finally settle down. You know, dad finally knows what he wants, and it’s you, and– and no one’s going to come along and get in the way of that, no matter how hard they try.
Ridge: Listen, I– I respect you for coming here and taking responsibility for your part in this nightmare.
Hope: Well, I mean it. At the end of the day, my mother loves you, ridge, and she wants to fight for your marriage, so I hope that you will give her a chance too. And sure, you, uh, may not be wearing your wedding ring right now, but I don’t believe that you could give up on brooke logan so easily. Not after all these years. And I am certain that there is a part of you deep down that knows there is a way back for the two of you. I mean, hell, if getting pushed out of a helicopter, a vegas wedding and your meddling kids hasn’t stopped you yet, then why should this? For better or for worse. You two made vows to each other, you made a commitment, and your love has overcome a lot and sure, it is being tested right now. But let it overcome this too.
Keith: Well, well, the hotel’s favorite guest.
Sheila: Hey, keith.
Keith: Your accommodation still satisfactory?
Sheila: Yeah.
Keith: Good.
Sheila: Very, very much so good.
Keith: Good. Well, I figured as much since you seem to have taken up residency here. So, where you off to?
Deacon: I’m not trying to pressure you, I know how much you’re dealing with, and I don’t want to add to that.
[ Sighs ]
Deacon: I just think that you need to take a realistic look at where you stand. Ridge has all but abandoned you for taylor.
Brooke: Deacon, please.
Deacon: I know you don’t want to believe it, but if you’re not going to be honest with yourself, brooke… come on.
Brooke: I am. I am. I am being honest with myself. Really. I understand the odds are against me. Ridge is finding comfort with taylor and his other family right now. But in time…
[ Sighs ] Look, I can understand why you’re skeptical. I get it. I know you want me to move on. But the thing is, even if I were able to do that, ridge would always have my heart. I’m sorry. I mean, we have an incredible, wonderful daughter.
Deacon: Yeah.
Brooke: And we’ll always stay connected because of her. It’s just that ridge will always be my soulmate, my destiny. I brought in ensure max protein,
Brooke: I don’t know why ridge and I are being tested again. But I know it all started that fateful night…
Deacon: That we kissed.
Brooke: The night that I drank. Lost controL. And did things I wouldn’t have done otherwise. I don’t know why I started drinking in the first place.
Deacon: I don’t know. I don’t have an answer for you. But even if I did, I would still be concerned for your commitment to ridge. That it would just lead to more heartache, especially now, because he’s moving back towards taylor. Okay, so I’ve pretty much spilled my guts here.
[ Both chuckle ] So, I think I’m gonna go, but, uh… before I do, I just, I just want to say one last thing. I just want you to know that I would do anything for you. Anything. And I will always be here for you. I’m not going anywhere.
Brooke: Thank you.
[ Sighs ] What have I done?
Ridge: How about now, is that better?
Petra: Much. Amazing how one little adjustment can make all the difference. You’re a genius.
Ridge: Oh, stop.
Steffy: And a handsome one too. Right, mom?
Taylor: That’s right.
Ridge: That’s all for now. Thank you, petra.
Petra: Thanks. Oh, by the way. Congrats to the both of you.
Ridge: Congrats?
Petra: Yeah, you and taylor. Thomas mentioned something about his parents reconnecting.
Steffy: Well, we’re hopeful.
Taylor: I will have a talk with thomas.
Ridge: Where is that kid anyway?
Taylor: He is at steffy’S. He said he had to wrap up some phone calls.
Thomas: Yeah. Three bedrooms and an infinity pool? Absolutely. I’d love to see it, uh, how about today? I’m kind of sick and tired of this whole house-hunt thing. Yeah, okay, that sounds good.
[ Door knocking ] Alright, bye. Did you forget your keys?
Sheila: Ah, I’m sure you were expecting someone else.
Thomas: Yeah. Amelia, with the kids.
Sheila: Well, I’m sorry to disappoint. Your mom’s secretary, I called and they said that she was at home, I came by to see taylor.
Thomas: No, I don’t know exactly why you want to talk to my mom, but you’re not welcome here, sheila. You should go. Now.

[ Sighs ]
Taylor: You okay?
Ridge: Yeah, it’s been one of those days.
Steffy: Brooke, again? Is she still pressuring you, trying to get you to come home?
Ridge: No, it’s not, brooke. Thank you, though.
Steffy: This time. But remember, she betrayed you. You didn’T. So, you shouldn’t feel guilty for saying enough is enough.
Brooke: So, you went to ridge on my behalf too?
Hope: Yes, I– I’m not sure how it went with dad. I’m sure he tried his best and I thought that I should give it a try as well.
Brooke: Well, please tell me you had better luck than deacon did.
Hope: Well, I said what I thought would get through to ridge, and I pleaded with him to find forgiveness. He still loves you, mom.
Brooke: As much as I will always love him. But…
Hope: But what?
Brooke: I don’t know. I– I, I really don’t know. I mean, yes, of course, I’m going to always fight for our marriage. But it hit me, you know? I’ve caused him all this pain and all this disappointment, and… how could I do that? How could I do that to the man that I love? How could I do that to ridge?
Hope: Mom, it was not intentional.
Brooke: I know. I know it wasn’T. But maybe I need to be brutally honest with myself. Maybe I’m not the right woman for ridge. Maybe he’d be better off with taylor.
Hope: Mom. Stop. Please, I hate seeing you talking like this.
Brooke: Honey, I– I did this. I mean, if ridge and taylor end up together, it’s because of what I did. The choices I made. I am responsible. Nobody but me.
Sheila: I’m not welcome here?
Thomas: Absolutely not. My family’s been separated for years, in large part because of what you did. You shot our mother, sheila. Which pushed her away and, and made my dad lean on brooke. So actually, none of this would have happened if it weren’t for you.
Sheila: I did a terrible thing. I’ve done a lot of terrible things. But I’m changing, thomas, I swear I am not that person any longer.
Thomas: According to you.
Sheila: According to your mother as well. Okay, all right. That– that might be pushing it a bit, but she, she really is trying to give me a cha– a chance. Can’t you please do the same?
Thomas: No. No, steffy and I are finally getting our family back together. My mother and my father suffered for long enough because of what you did. And they are finally, finally, having a chance at happiness. So, no, I don’t think I’m going to let you come back into our lives and mess with anything. In fact, you should get out of our lives forever.
Sheila: Get out of your lives? This is because of me. The demise of– of ridge and brooke and your mom and dad’s reunion. I am the one responsible for that. You should be welcoming me here with open arms right now, not banning me from the family. You should be thanking me profusely for what I’ve done. After all these years, your mother finally has a chance with ridge because of me, thomas. Me.
