Ted talked to Leslie about the way she treated Shanice. Leslie changed the subject by mentioning taking Eva out for dinner for her birthday. Ted was willing to go because he couldn’t see her on her birthday because of the cotillion. Later on, Leslie met up with Derek to rip into him for not letting Grayson volunteer at the clinic. She told him that his judgment was clouded. Derek said his apprehension wasn’t about Grayson dating Ashley. Leslie told him to get Grayson on board. Later on, Derek went to the hospital and told Ashley he was okay with her being with Grayson. Ashley told him she and Grayson broke up. She said Grayson wasn’t the man she thought he was. Since Ashley still had feelings for Grayson, she didn’t want to talk to him about it. Jacob and Naomi talked about his case. She got him to tell her what was going on. Naomi went to see Ashley and told her that Lia was the one putting her in danger.
Leslie met with Eva at Orphey Gene’s. She let Eva know that she and Ted were celebrating her birthday. Eva told her it wasn’t her birthday. Leslie said she wouldn’t forget her birthday. While they were talking, Eva told her that she was doing Samantha’s hair for the cotillion. Leslie told her that she was choosing the other side over her. She told Eva that she wanted to make up for the time the three of them lost being together. Eva agreed to the birthday dinner. At the hospital, Nicole told Dani that she thought about Ted while she was having sex with Carlton. Dani said it was part of letting go. They went to Anita to celebrate her last round of chemo. At the Duprees home, they celebrated Anita’s last round of chemo. She said she had a few more hurdles to overcome but there was no stopping her.
