Ridge: My boys. Look at us, huh?
Taylor: Such handsome fellas.
Ridge: I know! And the forrester men back together, in this building!
[ All chuckling ]
Brooke: Oh, we are so excited to have you home, rj.
Rj: Good to be home, mom.
Taylor: Oh, my gosh. I– I think you are– you are overjoyed right now.
Ridge: I am overjoyed!
Brooke: He’s beaming!
Ridge: And I’m beaming. Know why I’m beaming? Because I’m here with these– they were boys five minutes ago, now they’re men.
[ Rj laughs ] And the possibilities are endless.
Steffy: What are you asking, liam? Is there something more drawing hope to thomas?
Liam: That’s what I’m asking you. Do you think that?
Steffy: Like… what? The collection? Thomas coming up with these new designs?
Liam: No, not– not work.
Steffy: Okay, so… douglas? Their role as parents? Douglas is always gonna keep them connected. And you know that. The four of you have been navigating that for a while… okay, so if it’s not work or parenting, why do you think hope and thomas wanna spend all this time together?
[ Liam sighs ]
Liam: Listen, douglas is always gonna tie hope and thomas together. That’s not– I’ve made peace with that.
Steffy: But you’re worried about something else now?
Liam: That’s what I’m asking. Should I be?
Steffy: And I already told you no!
Liam: I know, I know, but the– ugh. It’s just the feeling. The feeling is not going away. I mean, I– look, I admit it. I thought that thomas was gonna be out of the company, right? I thought that he was gonna be out of hope for the future, and turns out that’s not true, and I’m trying to make peace with that too, but I also don’t wanna come off as this overbearing, overprotective, controlling husband.
Steffy: Okay, nobody thinks that. You love hope, you’re worried about her. Her well-being matters to you. There is nothing wrong with that. But I honestly don’t think that you need to be concerned about thomas having feelings for your wife.
Hope: I think you might’ve gotten here just in time, thomas.
Thomas: Why’s that?
Hope: Oh, to rescue your half-brother.
Thomas: Oh, yeah?
Brooke: Yeah, ridge has been putting on the pressure for rj to work here.
Rj: Yeah, well, too bad for him I inherited all of his stubbornness, so…
Ridge: And what else did you get? You got my ambition and you got your mom’s ingenuity. So this is not about pressure. It’s a proud dad saying, “there’s a lot of potential here.”

Steffy: You’re worried about hope having feelings for thomas?
Liam: What? No! No. I don’t think so. No, it’s just– [ Sighs ] I mean, something– something keeps drawing hope back to thomas. I just don’t know what it is, that’s all.
Steffy: She always likes to see the best in everyone, so.
Liam: Well, yeah, but that’s the– like, I keep, you know, I keep thinking of all the horrible things he’s done to her, and yet he’s still in her life.
Steffy: Yeah, okay, you can’t ignore the fact that they work together, they share a child together, raising a child.
Liam: I promise you, I’m not ignoring anything. If anything, it’s the opposite. I’m on high alert all the time, and I hate it. It stresses me out.
Steffy: Do you need me to tell you that you’re crazy?
Liam: Yeah, probably.
Steffy: I can’t stop you from worrying, liam.
Liam: And I can’t– I know that I can’t ask you to– I’m– I’m not asking you to do anything creepy or weird, like spy on hope, okay? It’s not your problem.
Steffy: Right, ’cause… that would be weird.
Liam: I–
Steffy: And crazy.
Liam: I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just– I just don’t know– I wanna know–
[ Groans ] I wanna know what I’m dealing with, that’s all. That’s all. I wanna know what I’m dealing with, and… maybe… I’ve underestimated hope.
Steffy: Underestimated her how?
Liam: I don’t know. I mean, you know, I– I keep asking myself, like, “well, how could she put up with all these things that thomas has done, all the things he’s put her through?” But, like, she puts up with me. She puts up with how much I care about you. She puts up with our history. She puts up with our family. She puts up with all of that.
Steffy: Yeah, but hope and i are past that. There’s– we don’t have any issues–
Liam: That– that’s my point. That’s what I’m saying. I mean, maybe hope just really is that generous, and… I can’t see it because… I’m not.
[ Steffy sighs ]
Steffy: Liam, I– I gotta get to work.
Liam: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Steffy: But just know that… thomas is in a much better place, okay? My father has forgiven him, and thomas knows how lucky he is to have it, have this chance, and I promise you, he is not gonna sabotage it. Okay? It’ll be fine. Like I said, I promise, all right? All right, I gotta head out.
Liam: Okay.
Ridge: My father built this company for his kids, and now I wanna share it with you guys. Thomas, can you please just tell him how good it would be to have him on board?
Thomas: Well, honestly, I– I don’t know if he needs to come on board, or wants to. I mean, I’ve been seeing the stuff you’ve been doing recently. It’s– it’s innovative, and I’m impressed.
Rj: Thanks, man.
Ridge: How is that helping, thomas?
Taylor: You know what, why don’t you just be happy that rj’s home?
Ridge: I am–
Thomas: Okay, look, look. Hey. You’re a forrester, right? You’re rj, ridge jr. If you want a place here at the company, it’s yours. You have birthright here as much as I do.
Ridge: Well said. And very true.
Rj: Come on, dad. You don’t want all of your kids working here, do you?
Thomas: Hey. Just know you’re welcome.
Rj: I appreciate it.
Brooke: Okay. I can understand why your father wants you to work here. I would love to have you here as well. But, we, as your parents, we’re not gonna be pushy. We’re going to allow you to follow your own path.
Ridge: Yeah. What your mom said, absolutely. As long as your own path, maybe it leads you back here into this office, that’s all.
Brooke: [ Laughs ] Oh, god.

Liam: Sorry! Sorry, sorry, sorry. Hi!
Wyatt: I was just texting you.
Liam: I know, yeah.
Wyatt: You totally missed the meeting, man.
Liam: Okay, I– it was–
[ Laughs ] Got here soon as I could. Just a last-minute thing, wasn’t– wasn’t something I planned.
Wyatt: Oh, unlike this meeting that’s been on the books for weeks now.
Liam: Are you okay? Did you handle it?
Wyatt: Yes, I’m fine.
Liam: All right.
Wyatt: And yes, that’s what I do. Probably better you weren’t here anyway. You’d screw things up. Clients like me better.
Liam: Oh my god, yeah, you’re not upset at all.
Wyatt: I will be if you think you’re gonna get a free lunch out of this.

Wyatt: You know what? I got a better idea.
Liam: What?
Wyatt: How about you tell me where the hell you were? Because I know you, and I know something’s eating at you. So why’d you bail on me?
Liam: I was with steffy.
Taylor: Okay, so, sorry to interrupt. This is– this is pretty wonderful, huh?
Ridge: Yeah.
Hope: It absolutely is, because I can’t believe that rj didn’t tell anyone that he was coming home.
Taylor: Okay, well, if your mom had known, she would’ve– she wouldn’t have been able to keep it to herself. She would’ve been too excited.
Hope: Yeah, it’s true.
Rj: Hey, thomas? I think we need to have a little talk.
Thomas: I think I know what this is about.
Rj: You up to your old tricks again, thomas?
Thomas: Yeah, look, um… I did some pretty terrible things. I hurt both of our families. But I’m not gonna do anything like that again.
Rj: So I’ve heard.
Thomas: Yeah, look, I– I was ostracized from the family, from the company and it hurt, really bad, but it caused me to turn inward, you know, look at myself and figure out my issues and I think I did, so I think I am a different person now.
Rj: Okay. I– I hope so.
Thomas: Hey, we all change, right? Even you.
Rj: Listen, I– I’ve been away for a while, thomas, doing my own thing, but that doesn’t mean I was kept out of the loop. I kept up with everything, okay? So, like, I just– like I told mom and dad, I just– I don’t wanna get involved in any family drama, okay?
Thomas: I don’t wanna start any.
Rj: I still have to put you on notice. I can’t let you mess around with my mom and dad again, or my big sister.
Thomas: Yeah. I respect that.
Rj: Okay.
Thomas: So, we’re good?
Rj: Yeah. Yeah, we’re– we’re good. I don’t know, I figure if our moms could get along, at least become friends, there’s no reason we can’t be.
[ Taylor and brooke chattering ]
[ Laughing & chatting ]
Thomas: Yeah. You know, I, uh… I never thought I would see that happening.
Rj: Yeah, it’s gonna take some getting used to. Now, I’m not gonna lie, it’s actually one of the reasons I came back. Mom and taylor have been rivals, I think, for my entire life?
[ Chuckles ] Like, I had to see it for myself.
Thomas: Yeah, I know. I know. Hey, look, um… we, uh, we haven’t exactly been that close recently, but you know you’re my half-brother and we can change that, right? We can spend more time together and I think we should. Well, hey, I mean, we have the same name, right? But you got stuck with our dad’s name too, and that– that kinda sucks.
Rj: [ Laughs ] Yeah. Yeah, it’s definitely– it’s hard to make a name for yourself when you share yours with someone as legendary as ridge forrester.
Thomas: Yeah, no kidding.
[ Both chuckling ]
Brooke: Wow! Lots of laughing coming from over here.
Ridge: Yeah, what are you guys talking about?
Rj: Oh, you know, just the trials and tribulations of being forrester men, saddled with the insurmountable legacy of our amazingly talented and well-respected father.
Thomas: Well put.
Rj: How will we ever measure up?
[ Laughs ]
Steffy: Dad, charlie’s going on about some huge surprise? What’s–
Rj: Surprise.
Steffy: Rj?
[ Rj laughs ] Oh, my god. Rj! What? Oh, my goodness!
[ Laughing ] Oh, my god. I don’t feel my age. Why should my skin?
Wyatt: You missed the meeting because you were with steffy?
Liam: Well, ye– and traffic was awful, by the way.
Wyatt: Dude, we have been working on this deal for weeks now. I cleared my whole afternoon.
Liam: Yeah, it’s not like I wanted to be late, man. I– I just, time got away from me, I’m sorry.
Wyatt: Time got away from you.
Liam: I texted you and I told you I was running late.
Wyatt: Oh, must’ve been some kind of emergency, then, with kelly? Better have been.
Liam: Kind of.
Wyatt: Hm.
Liam: Kind of a mini-emergency. She left her homework at steffy’s, and then– and then we started talking, and, uh, yeah. That’s all.
Wyatt: About?
Liam: What do you think? Thomas.
Wyatt: Great. Our favorite person.
Liam: Who’s– who’s our server today? Is it–
Wyatt: Mm-mm. Uh-uh. No foodsie ’til you explainsie–
Liam: Why?
Wyatt: What’s going on? I thought you and steffy already got into this?
Liam: We did. We have. We’ve– she– she’s still insisting that I have nothing to worry about.
Wyatt: Is there any reason why you should be?
Liam: I– I– I want to believe her. I do.
Wyatt: Okay. So then you’re gonna stop bugging her? You’re gonna stop flaking on meetings and everything? Is that it?
Liam: Oh, my god, wyatt. It’s this one time.
Wyatt: Yeah, but it’s just not like you! You’re mr. Reliable! Okay, if this is gonna throw you off your game here, then you need to find some way to get past it. We got quarterlies coming up.
Liam: Then we want the same thing because I do wanna find a way past it, and that’s why i was talking to steffy. I want– I want– I want… assurance.
Wyatt: And did you get it? Because I don’t wanna hear that you bailed on me for nothing.
Liam: Steffy says that she and thomas and the whole family are in a really good place right now, so…
Wyatt: Aw. Terrific.
Liam: Maybe that means thomas will keep his damn head on straight.
Wyatt: Fine. I forgive you.

Wyatt: A little bit. A little bit. Because I know steffy and the family have been going through a lot lately, with the sheila thing and ridge going mia and thomas disappearing and reappearing like a magic act.
Liam: See? You get it. Forresters need all the good news they can get right now. And I need all the bruschetta I can eat right now. Please? Please? Please.
Wyatt: Fine.
Liam: Yes!
Steffy: I can’t believe you’re here. Where have you been hiding? Why didn’t anyone tell me that you were here?
Rj: Well, nobody knew.
Brooke: He just showed up.
Rj: Yeah, I wanted to surprise everybody.
Steffy: Well, you succeeded. Look at dad’s face.
Ridge: What about my face?
Steffy: Your face. [ Laughs ] No, it’s lit up. So is brooke’S.
Brooke: I know. We’re so happy.
Steffy: I can tell. Especially dad. You must be so happy to have your son back. No offense, thomas.
Thomas: No taken, stef.
Taylor: [ Chuckles ] And these two are actually getting along.
Steffy: Kinda like you and brooke.
Rj: Steffy, you’re still a rock star.
Steffy: Obviously. See, this is the kind of energy we need around here, okay?
Rj: Oh, no, please, don’t you also start. He’s– he’s enough to handle. You’re a whole lot tougher.
Thomas: She is pretty tough.
Steffy: Yeah.
Rj: Nothing can keep you down, steffy.
Steffy: I could say the same about you, mr. Adventure-seeker. What, you were, like, scaling mountains and jumping off of them? So, what are you doing now? What brings you back to L.A.?
Rj: Aw, you know, I’ve just got some opportunities, but i really wanna just stick around, spend some time with my family.
Steffy: I think that’s an excellent idea.
Brooke: I think it’s a great idea. Yeah.
Ridge: And you know what? We still haven’t figured out what he’s gonna do for a job while he’s here, but that can wait. We don’t have to do that right now, just because I have a request.
Rj: If he tells you to offer me a job, I already have one.
Ridge: Okay, “request” is not the right word. I– I have, um… I have an idea. And this is something that would mean a lot to me, and it’s actually the first time we can do it, because these two ladies finally get along, and I’m totally on board.
Taylor: Okay, what– what is it? What?
Ridge: Can we just all get together and have a picture of the two mothers and all the kids? Can we do that, please?
Brooke: Oh, a picture? Yeah. We should do that. Let’s do it. Okay, rj, come here!
[ Overlapping chatter ]
Hope: Here, I can take it.
Ridge: No! I– no, you’re gonna be in the picture.
Hope: Okay, so then are you gonna do it?
Ridge: Hang on. Yeah, you need to be in it because you’re not my daughter, but you’re part of my family, have been for a long time, so.
Hope: Okay. I love that.
Ridge: Okay. You. Eat your heart out. This is how you do selfies.
Rj: Oh, all right, dad.
Steffy: Gotta turn it the other way.
Rj: Come on, show me how it’s done.
Ridge: I got it! This, right?
Taylor: Well, you– yeah.

We got half-brothers and half-sisters and mothers and dads, and we’re all here, and… people always tell me I– I have two families, and I don’T. I have one. One beautiful, blended family, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
