Steffy: Brooke? Brooke really called cps on thomas?
Ridge: I thought he should have all the facts.
Taylor: And ridge, you’re sure, you’re sure that it was brooke?
Eric: But the brooke I know would never do such a thing.
Ridge: Well, I didn’t want to believe it, either.
Steffy: She tried getting his son taken away from him?
Ridge: I don’t know what she was thinking, steffy. I don’t know.
Finn: There’s no doubt it was her?
Eric: Look, we all know that brooke had issues with thomas, but for her to do this? Come on.
Taylor: Yeah, why– why would she do this?
Steffy: Because she hates us, mom. Are we really surprised?
Taylor: No, no. I’m just, I’m– I’m completely in shock right now. She went after our son, and he is such a– such a good influence on douglas.
Brooke: You guys don’t have to stay with me.
Donna: Brooke, we’re your sisters. We are not going anywhere.
Katie: Yeah, especially since hope is out of town.
Brooke: Well, she didn’t want to cancel her business trip, but I didn’t want her sitting around just holding my hand.
Katie: And that’s why you have us.
Brooke: Thank you. I still can’t believe it.
Donna: Neither can we.
Brooke: I just signed annulment papers and ridge is already moving on.
Donna: It’s way too soon.
Katie: And it shouldn’t be happening at all.
Brooke: I guess this is what he wants.
Katie: No, it’s not. It can’t be!
Brooke: Well, then why isn’t he here with me? It just– doesn’t feel right. And he’s really going through with it. He’s going to marry taylor tomorrow.
Brooke: You could have stayed for the rehearsal dinner. You didn’t have to leave on my account.
Donna: Are you kidding? I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Sitting there with a fake smile on my face–
Katie: Pretending to celebrate a marriage that is doomed from the start.
Donna: And I told eric I– I wouldn’t make the wedding tomorrow either. He understands. It hurts me. You know, watching ridge and taylor, knowing how much it hurts you.
Katie: I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
Donna: And, you know, honestly, let’s get real. I mean, ridge going from one woman to the next? How does taylor not see this as a big red flag?
Katie: What I don’t get is the thomas connection. You said that he has something to do with why you and ridge aren’t together?
Steffy: Brooke called cps on my brother? I mean, I knew she was horrible, but this? Are you serious?
Taylor: This is, um, this is unforgivable.
Eric: Look, this is just some kind of a misunderstanding. Obviously, brooke wouldn’t do anything like this. Who told you it was her?
Ridge: Like I said, I heard the conversation. I heard it!
Steffy: So no question it was brooke.
Douglas: Grandma brooke’s call? That was the processed voice, not the original.
Thomas: I– I don’t really think you know what you’re talking about here, bud.
Douglas: Yes, I do. I heard it. I heard you. You made that call in her voice. You did it so granddad would get mad and wanna be with grandma taylor instead. Admit it.
Ridge: Thomas, you heard it, back me up.
Thomas: I heard what you did, dad. It was definitely brooke’s voice. Are you feeling sluggish or weighed down?
Brooke: Have I missed something? I– I just keep replaying our conversations.
Katie: I hate that you’re feeling like this. I just wish we could help you put the pieces together.
Brooke: You guys just being here for me, that’s enough. Really.
Donna: But there’s still, there’s– there’s got to be more to the story. Of course, your feelings about thomas, your very valid feelings, I might add, that might add a little friction to a marriage, but…
Katie: My god, how is it possible that ridge and taylor don’t see thomas for who he really is?
Brooke: I don’t know!
Katie: I mean, look at his past. Look at his obsession with hope.
Brooke: He’s a pro at this point. He’s just a total con artist. Just keeps picking away at those threads, trying to unravel my marriage so that his family wins.
Thomas: I, uh, told douglas to hang out in his room.
Steffy: Yeah, it’s probably best he isn’t here to listen to what brooke did.
Thomas: I agree.
Taylor: You must feel so betrayed.
Thomas: Well, you know, dad’s the one that got manipulated.
Taylor: Yeah, she called cps on our son. He could’ve had his parental rights taken away.
Steffy: So hope could have douglas full time.
Finn: That was brooke’s reason?
Taylor: How do you think, ridge? Is that why she did it, so that thomas and douglas couldn’t be together?
Ridge: I don’t know. I’m shocked as you are.
Taylor: But you– you didn’t say anything. You knew this before you came to aspen and you didn’t say anything?
Steffy: Dad, please don’t tell me you were protecting brooke. She targeted thomas.
Thomas: Yeah, you know, dad and I actually, we promised we wouldn’t say anything to anyone, especially brooke.
Eric: So brooke doesn’t know that you’re aware of this?
Ridge: No, she doesn’T.
Thomas: You know what? Brooke threatened to call cps, and then cps showed up at the door, so I’m pretty sure she could figure it out.
Steffy: And you expect us not to say anything? She needs to be called out!
Thomas: Brooke is already out of our lives and dad’s already said goodbye.
Steffy: She can’t get off this easy.
Thomas: If I can let it go, so can you.
Steffy: So mom and me just have to pretend like nothing ever happened? What?
Thomas: What is going to happen if you– yeah, I know. I get it. I get the feeling you want to go over there and you want to make sure that brooke gets what she deserves. I totally get that, but what’s she going to do? She’s going to come over here and she’s going to cry and beg and plead to him because she wants forgiveness. But he’s already moved on and he’s getting married to our mom. Alright? Let’s just put brooke behind us. Hey! It’s me! Your dry skin!
Donna: I don’t trust thomas. Honestly, he has always given off, like, weird vibes.
Katie: I mean, look at the way he’s using douglas to lure hope over to eric’s house.
Brooke: I agree! I am sick of talking about thomas. He’s had too much power over my life as it is. And I know ridge is just being protective of his son, I mean, the same way I’m being protective of my children.
Katie: You don’t let them dictate your life. I mean, they’ve had issues with ridge over the years, but you work it out.
Brooke: Right. If you say vows, you’ve got to stick with it, right? You have to work through that. But there’s ridge! He’s exchanging vows with somebody else.
Donna: So wrong. So, so wrong.
Brooke: Yeah, it is. That whole family is over there at eric’s, waiting to just celebrate his marriage tomorrow.
Katie: I don’t know how ridge can celebrate anything knowing that you’re here heartbroken.
Ridge: Alright, can we be done with this now? We’re supposed to celebrate–
Taylor: No, ridge, this is– this is very important.
Eric: I need some details here. How did any of this happen?
Ridge: What do you want to know, dad? It’s her voice, I heard it, I didn’t wanna listen to it.
Finn: How did this all start?
Thomas: You remember knife-gate? You know, brooke freaking out because i had a tiny little pocket knife that I used to cut up an apple?
Taylor: Yes, and she was afraid that douglas was there.
Thomas: Yeah, except it wasn’t a big deal, and douglas couldn’t care less.
Ridge: Well, obviously, it was a big deal to brooke because cps showed up here shortly thereafter.
Steffy: You’re telling me she freaked out because you were eating an apple?
Thomas: Yeah.
Taylor: She was looking for an excuse to make you appear unstable, and that was it.
Thomas: Right. But regardless, dad wanted to know why they showed up. So–
Ridge: Right, so thomas suggested we reach out to someone that actually worked for forrester for a while, walter. He now works for a company that works for child protective services. And we got in touch with him and asked him if we could listen to the recording.
Agent: Child protective services.
Brooke’s voice: Hello. I’d like to report a child in danger. His name is douglas forrester. His father, thomas forester, is unstable. He has a knife.
Agent: And your name, ma’am?
Brooke’s voice: Brooke logan.
Ridge: And unfortunately, it was brooke. I’ve never been so blindsided in my life that someone would want to do this to my son.
Taylor: And then you– you came to aspen. This is– the whole thing’s unbelievable.
Steffy: This just proves she isn’t worthy of you.
Thomas: Yeah. And now, brooke, isn’t going to hurt you anymore.
Eric: Look, I’m sorry I’m hearing all this, you know, but I’m finding it very hard to believe.
Ridge: Okay. No, I can see that. But why is that? I’m telling you, I heard the recording. We both heard the recording. She said her name!
Eric: Did you confront brooke about it?
Ridge: I gave her every chance to come clean. To maybe try to explain or apologize, but she said nothing. The only thing she did say was that, oh, my god, how could anyone do that to thomas? She lied to my face and then she came to aspen.
Brooke: I know you, ridge. I know there’s something that you’re not saying, and I wish you would just– just say it.
Ridge: Why are you doing this? Why are you pretending that you don’t know what this is?
Brooke: I don’T.
Ridge: Can you just be honest and– and say it? I just need to hear you say it.
Brooke: Say what? I– I don’t know what it is you want me to say. I mean, what do you think I did?
Steffy: I’m sorry, dad.
Finn: Yeah, I can’t imagine how hard that must have been.
Taylor: I wish I would have known. I wish I would have known that you were struggling. Both of you.
Thomas: It’s not about me. I just feel bad for dad.
Steffy: Well, since we’re being honest with each other, what brooke did, as awful as it is, I have to ask you, dad. Is this why you’re marrying mom? During walmart’s black friday
Brooke: I love ridge. And I know he loves me, too.
Donna: Of course he still loves you, brooke. I’m sure he’s thinking about you day and night.
Katie: Ridge will never love anyone the way he loves you.
Brooke: I just miss him so much already. I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that he’s going to marry taylor tomorrow.
Donna: It just seems so final, but maybe it isn’T. You know maybe– maybe there’s still hope.
Brooke: I don’t know what to do, donna. I don’t know what more I can say to get through to him. I don’t know why he’s doing this, why he’s marrying taylor, leaving me. All I know is that he still loves me.
Katie: Well, it’s clear that something happened to make ridge leave and it’s not his undying love for taylor and the fact that he can’t live without her, which means that that marriage doesn’t stand a chance. So don’t give up on your life with ridge.
Steffy: Dad, I don’t mean to put you on the spot in front of mom, in front of everyone, but I do need to know why you’re marrying her. I’m sure she’s wondering too.
Ridge: No, you’re not putting me on the spot. It’s a fair question. Brooke broke my trust in so many ways, but that’s not why I’m here. I’m here… because I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I deserve that. Someone loyal. Someone honest.
Taylor: I love you, too. And you’ve said so many wonderful things to me and I believe you. I do. And you’ve shown me. You’ve shown me that you want to be with me. So I’m going to continue to believe you. No matter what.
Thomas: Yeah, and mom, he’s not with you because of what brooke did. You know that. What she did was just one of a million reasons why he could break free.
Steffy: I just wanted to be sure, dad, that you’re sure.
Ridge: I get it.
Thomas: Well, you know what? You two are a magnificent couple. I’ve watched you since we were kids. And, uh, like I said before, you have a love that not very many people do. It’s pretty impressive and, uh, you know, it’s been a long time. But after a few obstacles, you made your way back to each other. And here we are. So, uh, to the wonderful couple and the beautiful days ahead.
Eric: Absolutely. Cheers.
Finn: Cheers.
Thomas: Cheers.
Finn: Steffy, the kids, and I couldn’t be happier for you two.
Steffy: We are so happy, we are over the moon. We absolutely adore you.
Ridge: What’s not to like?
Taylor: You know, I am so excited to be your wife again. I’ll tell you something, ridge forrester, I– I’m going to make this so good for you.
Ridge: Yeah?
Taylor: Yeah, I really am.
Ridge: I know.
Taylor: I’m never going to let you down and i will always be honest with you. I promise you that.
Steffy: Okay, okay. You have the wedding tom– woah, woah, woah. Okay. We have the wedding tomorrow. All this sweet chit chat– mom, let’s talk about the wedding and everything.
Taylor: Okay, we’ll be back.
Thomas: I mean, hey, I’m a fashion designer. Shouldn’t I be in on the whole dress–
Steffy: This is girl time!
Thomas: I’m like chopped liver over here, what’s goin’ on?
