Claire: So you are happy that you remember your life with ben? I wasn’t sure because you–
Ciara: Because I resisted it with literally everything in mE.
Claire: You were scared.
Ciara: And you were brave. Claire, you spent a night in jail so that ben could have alone time with me. That was amazing. That is so generous and so brave.
Claire: And also kinda selfish. I was hoping that you would remember our friendship toO.
Ciara: Well, I do. I know how much I love ben, and I know how much I love you.

Ciara: Yeah. It all came back to me, claire, and I need to say, I am so, so sorry. I was horrible to you. I was a monster.

Nicole: Thank you for being so diplomatic, belle, but i cheated on your brother with the worst person on the planet, and you probably hate me.
Belle: Well, I’m the last person that should be judging anyone’s marriage. Eric did say that he feels responsible toO.

Belle: Yeah, I did suspect she had something to do with xander’s big announcement at your party, but hey, you got her back, right?

Belle: Mm. That ej knows now about sami’s infidelity and their marriage is over too? Yeah, I hearD. And she probably got what she deserved. You know what they say. Payback’s a bitcH.

Allie: No, it’s okay. I mean, it’s something I have to learn to deal with. Especially as henry grows up. At some point, he’s gonna need to know the trutH. He’ll need to know who his father was.

Johnny: And totally disrespectful, right?
Allie: Yeah.
Johnny: So anyway, he’s not gonna help me, but I figured I’d ask mom and see if she wanted to back me, but looks like I just missed her.
Allie: Well, you heard about what happened with her and your dad, right?
Johnny: Oh, yeah. That was the first thing he told me. Ah, what a mess.
Allie: I went to see ej yesterday to try and remind him how much mom loves him, but he shut me down.
Johnny: Well, thank you for trying. Where is mom, anyway?
Allie: I’m actually not sure. I was worried because she had this big blowout with your dad and then none of us could reach her, but she texted last night and let us know she was fine. I guess she just needed to get out of town for a little.
Johnny: I’ll give her a call.
Allie: Actually, I don’t know if you shoulD. She said she needed some alone time.
Johnny: Mom?
Allie: I know. Not like her at all.
Johnny: YeaH.
Allie: But I can relate to feeling overwhelmed and needing spacE. And mom’s life was completely blown apart.
Johnny: Yeah.
Nicole: I assume you spoke with sami.
Ej: Oh, yes, and I told her I never want to see her agaiN.
Nicole: Well, that must’ve been painful.
Ej: Not at all. And perhaps it sounds callous, but looking on the bright side, I feel rather liberated. From living under the delusion that my wife still loves mE. Had you not given me that letter, I’d have continued on being the clueless cuckold, and samantha would’ve taken her dirty little secret to the gravE. For all I know, she and lucas might’ve continued having their affair behind my back, so i assure you, nicole, I am happy that the truth is out. Very happy.
Nicole: That’s a crock, and you know iT.
Belle: So you’re moving to south africa?
Shawn: With theo?
Claire: No, not with hiM. I’m going to be working for him and jj.
Belle: Okay, let’s just back up for a second. So they just, out of nowhere, offered you a job?
Claire: Okay, so their social media guy quit unexpectedly, so I volunteered to step in. Because I live for social media and I’m good at it and I’m familiar with their brand, so i can jump right in. Look, I think this is gonna be really fun and challenging, and I’m really excited about iT.
Shawn: I mean, it does sound like a good fit. But I don’t understand. I mean, you and ciara just became friends again.

Shawn: Yeah. I walked in here and they were hugging. It was beautiful. Claire, I–I mean, you’ve waited a long time for a moment like that. I’d think that you would want more, wouldn’t you?
Claire: Yeah, of course I dO.

Shawn: I mean, can’t you–is there any way that you could do the job remotely?
Claire: No, I already asked theo, and he said it doesn’t work like that. I have to go to johannesburg with him.

Ben: I know that last time i did this, I said it was gonna be the only time. But I thank god that I get to do it again. Ciara alice brady, will you marry me?

Shawn: Listen, we know how much you care about theo. We know how bad you feel that he was hurt, but, claire, are you sure you’re not doing this out of guilt?
Claire: I’m very sure. It’s time for me to commit to something that I really care about. And for once, I don’t mean a guy or a stupid beauty contest. This is a real job.

Claire: You moved halfway around the world for work.

Claire: I used to be scared to be on my own. I’d worry that I wouldn’t be able to control my insecurities or my jealousy. But I don’t feel like that anymore. I feel confident, and making peace with ciara just– it’s given me even more courage. Look, I really, really wanna do this. Can you please support me?
Shawn: Look, of course we can.
Belle: We believe in you, baby.

Ej: Let me see if I follow. It’s recently come to my attention that my wife is a lying slut. I’ve expressed relief at knowing the truth and consequently ended my marriage. How is that hiding how i really feel?
Nicole: That’s not what I meant, but–
Ej: Allow me to try again. It’s recently come to my attention that my wife is a cheating slut. She cheated on me twice, that she’ll admit to, and it wasn’t a drunken mistake with a random stranger or a one-time slip-up that she instantly regretted and came clean about. It was a repeated betrayal with a man who’s never stopped lusting after her, never stopped insinuating himself into her life. Well, guess what, darling. That whore is done making a fool of me. Is that still hiding how i really feel?
Nicole: You’re angry.
Ej: Mm-hmm.
Nicole: Of course you’re angry. But underneath that anger is pain.

Nicole: No, you see, you’re doing it again. You’re deflecting. You’re dodging. Because you feel if you admit that you’re suffering that people would see you as weak.
Ej: I’ve spent the last several years suffering and never tried to hide it.
Nicole: Right. The physical part, yes, of course you can’t hide that, but I am talking about emotional suffering. And you always hid that behind your rage. And yes, of course you seem like a very strong person on the outside, but inside, there’s pain there, like there is right now. And I know you. You would do anything not to have to deal with it. Trust me, I can relate. But ej, you should deal with it. You should face it head-on. Because if you don’t, it just might eat you up alive.

[Laughter] Truthfully, it’s frustrating to see how fast dust reappears.
Ej: I’d never pimp you out to anyone. I just thought you’d have better luck with johnny than I’ve had.
Nicole: Well, whether I would or wouldn’t, I’m just really not interested in coming between you and your son. Okay? And just fyi, I predict that if you keep telling your son not to pursue his dream, he will defy you and go after it with a vengeance.
Ej: I shouldn’t have asked you to get involved. After all, I’ve learned if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. One way or another, I will bring my son around.

Ciara: I’m fine with that. I actually remember everything we said to each other last time, and I don’t think we need to say it again. I remember saying that our life would not be perfect.
