Y&R Raves and Rants #10

Young and the Restless Opinion Article

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) argue on "The Young and The Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (screencap)

Article written by Barbara 3/21/26

Although the week of 3/16/2026 was a short one for Y&R (3/19 and 3/20 episodes were preempted by CBS broadcasting NCAA basketball tournament games), there was still plenty that I liked and disliked about Y&R on the days it aired … just my humble opinions, no particular order, just random musings.

Raves: 👍

The cat fight between Nikki and Phyllis at the bar in GCAC was great.!😹

Given their volatile history, I am really liking Billy’s support of Jack during the Patty debacle, especially when he told Jack, “I love you”. ♥️. Very touching.

Diane was a force to be reckoned with as she unleashed her fury on Jack for having drugged-up sex with psycho Patty Williams (although I like the guy and feel sorry for him). Susan Walters nailed those scenes.

I am loving the way Nick and Adam are strategizing, cooperating, and respecting each other’s differing points of view regarding their plan to find Matt in Las Vegas.

I simply adore Michael and Lauren together and how well their marriage/partnership works.

Rants: 👎

Victor is being beyond cruel and mean, especially to Nikki. He has sunk to a vile and disgusting new low.  Screaming insult after insult at Nikki, and throwing her out of their home … wow, just wow. He deserves to be 100% ALONE – no family legacy, no wife … nothing.

In typical Newman style, protecting her precious “daddy”, Victoria played dumb and eventually lied, feigning ignorance, while Nate expressed his concerns and thoughts to her about the mystery of Lily and the twins’ disappearance.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something about doe-eyed Claire and the way she expresses herself that makes her annoying, especially when she was talking with her grandma Nikki about the deteriorating state of Nikki and Victor’s marriage. Claire was trying to comfort her grandma, but it fell flat to me, almost condescending.

Neither a Rave nor a Rant: 👐

I have not changed my feelings about Sienna – I do not like her at all – but in all fairness, she was tolerable on 3/18/2026 because she was in a meaningful conversation with Noah and Sharon and was simply giving them valuable, factual information about Matt, based on her experience and history with him.

The opinions in these articles are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of TVMEG.COM or its other volunteers.
