Steffy:  Liam! -Pupils are dilated. What’s wrong? What’s happening? We need to stop the bleeding in his brain. -Is he gonna be okay? -We’re doing everything that we can. Tell them to prep the O.R.! I need that CT scan, STAT! Oh, my God, Liam, how did this happen? Wake up! Liam, wake up! [somber music plays]

Brooke: This whole ordeal has been devastating. Yeah, it was devastating for all of us, -not just your daughter. -Well, clearly, Hope and Carter both participated. What they did was unacceptable, but it’s Carter’s name that was signed to the LLC papers, and those were his ideas– But the difference is he took responsibility. Hope’s just pissed it didn’t work. Okay, okay, but the point is it’s not really fair, right? Carter’s forgiven. And my daughter isn’t. She’s banished. So don’t you think my daughter deserves a second chance? -Thanks. -Yeah. Thank you. And thank you, Dad. Means a lot knowing that I can count on you. You’re my daughter. It’s my job to defend you. And I always will. You know, I’m glad I came here. I was feeling pretty isolated and alone. Well, you’re not alone. And, you know, as far as Steffy and Ridge– just forget them, right? I mean, you know, it’s no big surprise they screwed you over. I mean, it’s what they do. Carter…[sighs] I– I understand that’s gotta sting. Really thought you loved him. I still do. My daughter should be here. Don’t you think so, Ridge? -I’ll come back. -No, it’s okay. We’re discussing Hope. I made it clear that they went too far in firing Hope. We didn’t go too far. She betrayed us, and I don’t want someone like that around, someone I don’t trust. Why are you holding Hope to a higher standard? She spent half her life here. She deserves to be here. And her line should be reinstated. What do you think, Carter? Isn’t that what you want for Hope? Look, I’m sorry you’re going through this, kiddo. I know that Carter meant a lot to you. I also know that you’ve always been looking for a true partner in life. Sure as hell wasn’t Thomas, and… I mean, Liam tried his best, but… I know you thought it was gonna be Carter. As far as I’m concerned, he betrayed me. I walked in on him kissing Daphne Rose. Dads’ll do anything for their kiddos. Mommies too. Mommy got me a new dress for the Daddy-daughter dance coming up. Yeah. You guys are gonna have a blast. Can’t wait. Daddy’s super excited too. I’m lucky to have him. And you, Finn, too. I’m the lucky one, Kelly. I love being your stepdad. But Liam’s your father. You and Beth– you’re his pride and joy. He’ll always be there for you. DR. BUCKINGHAM: 75 grams of mannitol–STAT! Is he gonna be okay? Is he gonna make it? We’re trying to get him stabilized. -Oh, my God. -O.R.’s on standby. -We’re losing him! -You have to do something. -Please! -We need to open up his skull to release the pressure. I got a pulse! Let’s prep for transport. We gotta get to the O.R. now. Liam, keep fighting! Keep fighting! Don’t give up. Oh, my God. [tense, percussive music plays] It’s only right that Hope be afforded the same opportunity that you’ve been given, Carter. Wouldn’t you think so? Look, I don’t wanna cause any more waves. You and I, we’ve begun to heal our friendship, find peace after this difficult chapter, and I don’t wanna do anything to jeopardize that. But you gave me your word. You and Eric promised me that Hope wouldn’t be punished, let alone ejected from the company. So you don’t think what we did was justified. -That’s not what I’m implying. -Okay, good. ‘Cause you know what you did was wrong. -Obviously, Ridge. -All right. Hope doesn’t. She doesn’t think she did anything wrong, and you see how that’s a problem. [somber music plays]

Deacon: I’m just gonna say it, all right? Carter sold you out. He left you in the dust. You lost your line. You lost your job. And then what does he do? He pretends like his hands are tied. I just really believed that he was going to walk out with me in solidarity, -but he didn’t. -Look, I get it. You miss him, right? But from where I’m sitting, you dodged a bullet. Carter is not your guy. Your guy–he’s gonna run in a burning building for you. And I promise, you’re going to find him. But until you do, you got me. And nothing would make me happier than you knowing that you can lean on me. Thank you. It’s nice knowing I have one parent in my corner. All right. You know, you and your mom– you’re gonna work it out. I don’t know. It’s never been this bad before. I mean, having to be on the property and pretend like everything is normal when it is not… just–I can’t fake that. I get it. I do. But you need to know deep inside better days are coming, Hope. I know they are. Trust that. You wanna read another book while we’re waiting? No. That’s okay. I wonder why Mom and Dad aren’t here yet. I don’t know. But, hey, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. [somber music plays] How’s he doing? Well, the procedure seems to have released some of the intracranial pressure. If we hadn’t removed the buildup of blood in the hematoma when we did… he might not have survived. Is he gonna be okay? Well, he’s not out of the woods yet. His blood pressure has decreased, and his pulse has stabilized. Oh, my God, thank God. Thank God. Liam. Liam, I’m here. You’re not alone. You’re gonna be okay. DR. BUCKINGHAM: He’s still extremely critical. We need to look after him very closely. Yeah, I-I-I understand. I’m just glad that he’s here. [heavy music plays] Look, I hate this. I hate what’s happened between me and Hope. She feels betrayed. And now it’s over for the two of you. Yeah. Yeah, she ended things. She doesn’t want to see or speak to me. I’m sorry. But you know what? Maybe it’s for the best. She’s a big girl. She’s gonna land on her feet. She’ll get another job, maybe with the competition, I don’t know, but I do know this– it’s not gonna happen here. Not after what she did. I promised Hope I’d stand up for her, and I didn’t. Yeah, you did. You’re doing it now. But I-I gotta ask you something. Please don’t defend her around here. Not after what happened. All right, go take these to Chef, all right? Thanks. -You… -Yes. …are gonna come back from this bigger and badder than ever. Look, trust me–I know a thing or two about comebacks. It’s in our DNA. There’s nothing that you can’t accomplish. I hope you’re right. Have you not learned by now that I’m always right? -[laughs] -All right. Always might be a big word, but you and Beth– you’re always welcome here. Thank you, Dad. And I might take you up on that offer if things get a little crazy over at Mom’s. But in the meantime, I’m really just trying to focus on healing myself, so… Come here. And as far as Ridge, Steffy, and Carter go… …they’re not gonna get away with this. He’s somewhat stable at the moment. But there’s no guarantees? His condition can change at any moment? I’ll take a look at the CT scan again, get another consult. Best case…[sighs] the bleeding will resolve itself. And if it doesn’t? He may need a more complex surgery. It’s just a waiting game at this point. You said there could be long-term effects? Well, we’ll know as time goes on if there’s any brain damage. Oh…brain damage! DR. BUCKINGHAM: Well, when the brain swells, it enters blood vessels and cerebral tissue. Obviously, we are hoping for the best here, and we will continue to look out for an additional seizures or any changes in his vitals. But what we need right now is for Liam to wake up. Because the longer he stays unconscious… the less chance he has of making a full recovery. [whispering] Liam. Liam, you heard Dr. Buckingham. You need to open your eyes now, okay? You need to wake up. Liam, please wake up. [dramatic music swells] Thank you, Hunter. Thanks. HOPE: You’re a good man, Carter. And I am so thankful that I have finally found someone like you. CARTER: I’ve got you. HOPE: And I do feel safe in your arms. CARTER: That’s because you are. I won’t let you fall. You know, I actually think I believe you. Gosh. You really are the man of my dreams. I love you. And I love you too. [sensuous jazz plays] [door opens] Carter, Carter. You messed with my daughter. That’s a bad move. Very bad. [tense music plays] Hey. No, uh, thank you so much. Hey, Kelly, Rachel and her Mom will be here soon to pick you up. Liam. Liam. Do you know how he was injured? No. No, I found him on the ground at his dad’s house. That’s interesting. There’s more than one point of impact. Uh, I don’t know if he fell or what. Well, he’s very lucky you got there when you did. A few minutes later, he wouldn’t have made it. Liam Spencer owes you his life. Liam. [sniffling] You heard Dr. Buckingham. You need to wake up now. You need to open your eyes. So many people are counting on you, Liam. So many people need you. Your dad, your brothers. Your daughters. Kelly and Beth. Oh, they love their daddy so much. You’re the one who makes them laugh the hardest. You make them feel safe… and protected. I need you, too. And even though we are not together anymore, we are always… always gonna be bonded for life. Our daughter, our memories– it’s always gonna connect us, okay? [soft, stirring music plays] Liam, come on. Come on! Please wake up. I know you can hear me. Please, Liam, just open your eyes. That’s all you have to do is just open– open those eyes, please. Oh, God. [gasps] Liam. Liam? Liam, can you hear me? Oh, my God! Oh, my–oh, my God. I think he’s waking up. I think he’s back. I think he’s back! Liam. Liam, can you hear me? It’s Dr. Buckingham. You’re in a hospital. We’re taking very good care of you. -[labored breathing] –

Steffy:  Liam? Liam! Liam, I’m here. I’m here. It’s me. It’s me. Can you see me? Can you hear my voice? [laughing] Oh, my God! Liam! Liam! [sniffling] Oh, my God. Oh, my God. -Oh, my God. -[emotional music plays]
