Brooke: Hope, you didn’t answer my question. Are you having feelings for finn?
Hope: Where is this coming from? All I said is that finn is a great guy.
Brooke: It’s the way you said it. I can hear it in your voice. Honey, just be honest with me. Are you falling for steffy’s husband?
Steffy: Hope is incredibly toxic. The fact that she’s trying to support you having a relationship with sheila just shows you how delusional hope is. And sheila’s only playing nice because she married her father.
Finn: Look, I– honey, I understand your frustration, but I don’t– I don’t think that’s the way hope feels. And I have to say, she has been very kind to me.
Steffy: You have to trust me, finn. I’m more experienced with hope than you are. You need to keep your distance from hope.
Liam: Well, tracey, this is– this is so appreciated. You– you probably just saved us from a pr nightmare, so.
Tracey: Just doing what you hired me for. Mitigating any unwanted surprises.
Bill: Yeah, we don’t want any of those at spencer. Although sometimes they can be the best part of life. Unexpected surprises.
Poppy: Bill was so happy to learn that luna’s his daughter and he’s fully embraced her into his life and the two of us into his home.
Luna: I know it’s a lot to take in.
Poppy: Katie, I really value and respect your opinion. Look, you may not be married to bill anymore, but you’re still an important person in his life. It would really mean a lot if you could give my daughter and me your blessing.

Liam: What? What was that? You– you– you– talk to me, okay? We’re in a meeting and you’re talking all this about unexpected surprises. You wait until it’s just you and me. Talk to me.
Bill: About what?
Liam: Oh, that’s cute. That’s so cute. Uh, luna.
Bill: All right, look. What do you want me to say? You know how I feel about her.
Liam: Well, I know how you felt about her the last time we did this, but I don’t know. Maybe– maybe the euphoria has subsided a little bit. You’ve gotten some perspective. How do you feel now about poppy giving you a daughter?
Katie: I don’t really know you all that well, poppy, but I think very highly of luna. She’s been a great addition to forrester and you’ve become very important to my nephew.
Poppy: Well, you’ve all made a very profound impact on my daughter.
Katie: Not as big an impact as you’ve made on bill, apparently. Bill and I haven’t had a chance to discuss this, so I was hoping he would be here. And this is big, surprising news. And it doesn’t just affect your lives, but… it affects my son will’s life as well.
Finn: I love you for being so protective. And look, I hear your concerns with hope. All right, you’re right, I– I don’t know the logans as well as you do.
Steffy: Thank you.
Finn: And seriously, there is nothing you need to worry about when it comes to hope and me.
Brooke: I am not judging you or accusing you of anything.
Hope: Well it certainly feels like it.
Brooke: Please, honey, just tell me. Are you developing feelings for finn?
[ Hope sighs ]
Hope: Okay, you want the truth, mom? Yes, I am starting to… care more about finn.
Brooke: Huh.

Bill: When I first looked at the paternity test results, it was like time stood still. I mean, I was speechless.
Liam: Well, I mean, you speechless, that’s– that’s saying something.

Poppy: It’s true. You are luna’s father. Oh, baby. You finally got your answer. Bill is your father.
Bill: Well, uh, I guess it’s time we have our first official family hug.

Liam: Sure.

Luna: You know, I’m still trying to process all of this, too. It’s always just been my mom and me, and now I finally have a dad and a whole extended family, and I can’t believe I have brothers. And I can’t wait to meet will, and, um, I’m sure it’ll be a little bit awkward in the beginning, but I think with time it’ll– it’ll be okay.
[ Cell phone chimes ]
Luna: Oh, it’s rj. Um, I really should get going. He’s still trying to wrap his head around the fact that bill’s my dad, too, so bye.
Katie: Bye.
Katie: You have a lovely daughter.
Poppy: Thank you. I mean, like we said, this is a lot to take in, and I’m sure that you and bill have a lot to discuss, but… as I said, he isn’t home right now. I can let him know you stopped by.
Katie: I’m sorry, are you telling me to leave?
Steffy: Hope doesn’t worry me. She bothers me. She’s passing judgment on my feelings about your relationship with sheila, the woman who terrorized us.
Finn: Well, I think hope, she’s just trying to help.
Steffy: She can’t even help herself. I mean, her marriage ended, thomas and douglas left, hope for the future is sinking, her father married a psychopath, and you think that she has enough on her plate for you? You don’t really think this is coming from a place of jealousy or insecurity, right?
Finn: No, I don’T. I don’T.
Steffy: I do feel very uncomfortable with you hanging around hope, especially with her behavior lately. I mean, you see the way she used thomas to cope with her divorce from liam, and now she sees the good in sheila, and she supports you having a relationship with her? Hope’s lost, and when she’s lost, she’s reckless.
Brooke: You’re starting to care about finn.
Hope: Well, how can I not? He’s become a very, very good friend to me, and look at how he is with people. He’s compassionate, he’s caring, he wants the best for people, even when it’s difficult.
Brooke: Like with sheila?
Hope: Exactly, like with sheila. I mean, what kind of man has that capacity for understanding, for forgiveness? I mean, it makes sense why he’s such an amazing doctor. I mean, he’s– he’s even helped me recently.
Brooke: Helped you? How? Are you a patient of finn’s? Hope?

Liam: Well, I am really happy for you, because I can see how captivated you are, not just with luna, but with her mother, poppy.
Bill: She is something else.
Liam: Yeah, she better be something else. If you had one night together 20 years ago, and there’s still this– this spark.
Bill: No, it’s more than a spark, liam. It’s like we are frozen in time. I mean, I– I look at poppy and I still see that same young woman that just took my breath away at that music festival. What?
Liam: Can I tell you how much it delights me to picture you at a music festival? Did you use lights?
Bill: Don’t do it. Don’t do it, I will choke you with your own tie.
Liam: Fair enough.
Bill: Now, can we just be serious for a minute? You understand that poppy didn’t just give me memories. She gave me a daughter that night. It’s incredible.
Liam: I know. Speaking of, there is another woman in la who gave you a child. Have you, um, have you spoken to katie at all about luna and poppy?
Poppy: Katie, I would never ask you to leave. You’re a part of this family too.
Katie: Glad to hear it.
Poppy: I don’t want there to be tension between us. I mean, our kids are siblings. We’re family now. And I know it’s gonna take some getting used to. This used to be your home, but… now it’s mine. I know there’s gonna be an adjustment, but I truly hope to become good friends. Now as you can imagine, I do have a million things to do around here. I mean, this place could definitely use a woman’s touch. And honestly, I just assumed that you’d wanna be on your way since bill isn’t here. But as I said, I will let him know that you stopped by. Although, I’m certain that he’ll just wanna be alone with luna and me.
Steffy: Hope has zero self-awareness. You saw it with my brother when she lost liam. And now she lost thomas and douglas. And she doesn’t wanna lose her dad. So what does she do?
Finn: She becomes accepting of sheila.
Steffy: Hope’s standards and beliefs, they sway like the wind. I mean, one minute she hates sheila, and the next she’s trying to convince you to go to her wedding.
Finn: Okay, look, you may have a point, but would that not be a great reason to feel for hope instead of criticizing her? Look, maybe she needs our help.
Brooke: You’ve been seeing finn as a patient?
Hope: Well, no, not officially.
Brooke: Are you sick?
Hope: No, I just– I’ve been getting these headaches. I think they’re migraines.
Brooke: Oh, I had no idea.
Hope: Yeah, I was with finn when one of them came on and he thinks it is due to stress.
Brooke: So, did he prescribe you something?
Hope: No, but, uh… let’s just say finn has healing hands.

Liam: I’m only asking if you’ve talked to katie about– about luna and poppy because it affects will.
Bill: Yes, I realize that. And no, I haven’t talked to katie yet.
Liam: Dad.
Bill: Will you relax? I’ve been very wrapped up in luna and poppy and I just– I haven’t had a chance to talk to katie. I’ll talk to her.
Katie: I’m sure that you, bill and luna, have a lot to make up for.
Poppy: We do.
Katie: But you have to understand that for the sake of my son, it’s important that bill and I discuss this. It’s a priority.
Poppy: Yes, and– and I agree. It’s important for bill and you to discuss how to approach this with will. I just didn’t want you to get your hopes up that it would happen today.
Katie: Because bill will be busy with you.
Poppy: I am certain that bill can’t wait to be alone with luna and me. And just like you said, we have a lot of time to make up for. And I’m really eager to do that.
Katie: I imagine you are.
Steffy: You wanna help hope?
Finn: Look, she’s been stressed out lately.
Steffy: And how do you know that?
Finn: She’s opened up to me a little bit.
Steffy: What did she say?
Finn: Well, basically everything you just said. You’re right, she’s– she’s been having a hard time. And look, I’m– I’m not gonna pretend to even remotely understand the dynamics, but… the problems you have with each other, it didn’t start with you two. All right, it was brooke and stephanie and then brooke and your mom, and like… honey, the rivalry between your two families started before you guys were even born. I mean, who’s next? Kelly and beth?
Steffy: What, no.
Finn: Well, it could be. If we’re not careful, I mean, that’s the cycle, right? That’s why I’m lobbying for some peace and harmony between you two. I mean… honey, we are one big, extended family. And we have a lot to be grateful for. That’s what we need to focus on. And look, you don’t need to worry about hope, okay? She is not influencing me. Okay?
Steffy: Okay.
Brooke: Finn has healing hands?
Hope: Well–
Brooke: How did you know that, hope?
Hope: He gave me a massage.
Brooke: He what?
Hope: Well, it was, you know, like temples, sinuses, like this little squishy thing right here. It was, uh, pressure point therapy for my migraines. And it was like the minute his hands touched me, I felt such relief. I mean, it was amazing.
Brooke: Oh, my god.
Hope: No, no, it’s not like that, mom. It’s not like that, okay? We are just very good friends. And I– I don’t want to see him being controlled or bossed around by steffy. I… I feel bad for him, mom.
Brooke: Their relationship is their business, okay?
Hope: Okay, but should I just stand by as a friend is getting taken advantage of? I mean, he’s being undervalued by the one person who is supposed to love him the most. And I… I’m not even sure steffy really understands him.
Brooke: And you do.
Hope: You know, I– I think I do. Finn trusts me. He confides in me.
Brooke: He confides in you?
Hope: Well, yeah. I mean, we have a lot in common. We’re like… two kindred spirits. Especially now that my dad has married his mom.
Brooke: Okay, listen. This is steffy’s husband you’re talking about.
Hope: I know. I know and I’m not going after him, mom. I’m not. He just… happens to be one of the best men I’ve ever met.
