Billy: Hi. I’m sorry I’m late. How you doing?

Chelsea: I’m better now that you’re here.

Billy: Okay, so tell me what’s going on.

Chelsea: Connor just called. I don’t like the way he sounded.

Billy: I’m sorry. What happened?

Chelsea: It’s his grades again. His classwork is slipping. It’s so unlike him.

Billy: Well, I’ll go back to what you said a few days ago, right? He just needs time to settle in, to– to find a rhythm.

Chelsea: I don’t know. That’s what I thought at first, but now it’s not even about the grades. It’s how it’s all upsetting him. I mean, he’s so frustrated and embarrassed. He doesn’t understand what the teachers are saying, so then he goes to them to get help and he doesn’t understand it. He’s not absorbing it.

Billy: Chels, connor’s a very bright kid. I would go as far as to say, he’s ahead of the curve.

Chelsea: Well, that’s what we thought, but something’s getting in the way. And now, it’s really affecting his confidence.

Billy: Hey, we’ll handle it, okay?

Chelsea: We?

Billy: Yes, we. Always we. Now, did you talk to adam about this?

[ Adam sighs ]

Adam: This is supposed to be a specialized school that my son is attending, sally. Tuned into kids like connor who have unique emotional needs. They’re supposed to have faculty that’s trained to help them.

Sally: Yeah, and from what you’ve told me, they have an impeccable reputation, so I’m– I’m sure–

Adam: Look, shouldn’t they be on top of the academic issues, too? At least notice what this is doing to his mood? They should have identified the change, noticed what was causing it, and not let it get to this point.

Sally: Okay, look, maybe it hasn’t gone as far as you think? Okay, look, connor is an amazing kid who expects a lot of himself, you know? What if these is– these are just normal speed bumps that happen whenever school gets a little harder? How did connor sound when you talked to him?

Adam: I– I haven’t talked to connor. He called chelsea and chelsea called me. Comes down to who he feels safe talking to. And that’s not me.

Victor: Perhaps you misunderstood my question. What are you doing here?

Nikki: Victor, please. It’s nothing.

Jack: Yeah, nikki’s right. This is nothing. What is the problem?

Victor: First, you get the information out of my wife that our family was subjected to an enormous ordeal that’s none of your business. Then, you question me about it and now you’re here. What are you doing here?

[ Knocking on door ]

Tucker: I’m not here!

[ Knocking on door ] What?

Audra: Ooh, well, hello to you, too, tucker.

Tucker: Now’s really not the best time.

Audra: Your moods are relentless these days. Now, what’s wrong?

Tucker: Nothing I’m prepared to discuss at this time.

Audra: Oh, you don’t need to. This is about ashley, isn’t it? She’s yanking your chain yet again. And you’re letting it get to you.

[ Audra sighs ] Hey… it’s me! Your dry skin!

Announcer: Additional sponsorship provided by…

Tucker: It seems ashley flew to paris to confront the waiter in the café where we had our argument.

Audra: Hm. Shouldn’t you be thrilled? I mean, you swore it happened as you said. Or did they tell her something different?

Tucker: No. Just as I predicted, the waiter confirmed my version of events. Which you would assume would clear the whole thing up, right? Or at least inspire her to call me and apologize. But no, she called me–

[ Laughs ] She called me to accuse me of paying off the waiter.

Audra: Unbelievable.

Tucker: I know. Thank you.

Audra: Not ashley, tucker. You. You’re unbelievable.

Tucker: Why?

Audra: It’s bad enough that any of this surprises you, but the fact that it throws you into a snit like this? It’s pathetic.

Tucker: Thanks.

Audra: What happened to, “oh, I’m done with this whole thing, audra. You know, I put it all in my rearview mirror. Everything is behind me now”?

Tucker: That has not changed.

Audra: But every ounce of your passion is dedicated to ashley. It’s boring and insulting.

Tucker: This just happened, audra, okay? And I understand that it’s a laughable accusation. In fact, I laughed at her when she first accused me of it. Of course, I didn’t pay off the waiter. It just– it gets under my skin, is all. I’ll get over it.

Audra: No, you won’T. That’s the point. You know, ashley is so embedded in your brain cells, in all of your psyche that there is no way that you’re going to be able to cut off this connection once and for all. She’s always going to have a hold on you, isn’t she?

Tucker: Why do you care so much one way or the other?

Chelsea: I already spoke with connor’s advisor and the headmaster at the school. They said they’re going to come up with a strategy as to what’s next. They’re thinking maybe he has a learning difference, and that’s at the root of all this.

Billy: Well, there’s a lot of kids that go through that. I mean, even adults do. And it sounds like you and the school are doing the right thing.

Chelsea: Yeah, I hope so.

Billy: Are you sad for him?

Chelsea: Yeah, I am. I mean, going to the school in the first place was connor’s idea. And he was thriving at first. He was meeting all these kids that he became friends with, that he could relate to.

Billy: And we’ll get him back to that point, I promise you.

Chelsea: I don’t know how I’m going to do that.

Billy: Well, everything you told me about this school, it sounds like he’s in a good spot. And if there’s something going on with him, they sound equipped to– to figure it out. And if they do come up with that conclusion, they’re going to support him. Both academically and emotionally.

Chelsea: You’re right. I mean, they’re the pros, and connor can’t be the only person struggling. I just–

[ Sighs ] Billy, he sounded so sad. And his voice was so flat. It just– it reminded me of that time not so long ago when things were really awful for him. And the love of his mom and dad couldn’t fix it. It brought me back to that time, and it broke my heart.

Sally: Connor loves you. You know that. So please don’t read too much into it that he reached out to chelsea first. Look, he knows you, adam. He knows that you would do absolutely anything for him. Including just maybe–

Adam: Maybe what?

Sally: Getting angry at the school and making sure they know it.

Adam: Is that so wrong? I mean, they have one job, to look out for my son.

Sally: You know kids. They don’t like to draw attention. Connor isn’t shutting you out. I’m sure he’s just trying to keep a low profile.

Adam: What– what if it’s deeper than that?

Sally: What do you mean?

Adam: He trusts chelsea more than he trusts me for a reason. I wasn’t around for so long. For years that– that really matter to kids. He lived without a dad and he got used to it. But, I mean, hey, I was just keeping up a family tradition.

Sally: You’re not victor.

Adam: No, it’s more than that. My father grew up without his father and I grew up without my dad. So now what, it’s connor’s turn? And, I mean, if he grows up resenting me for not being around, for feeling distant, or that he can’t depend on me, how can I blame him, or even chelsea? All of this is on me.

Nikki: Victor, I don’t know what you’re thinking–

Jack: No, no, nikki, I– I’ve got this. You don’t have to cover for me. Nikki’s right. There’s nothing covert, nothing mysterious about this. We ran into each other at an aa meeting.

Victor: What were you doing at the same aa meeting?

Jack: Perhaps you will remember that years ago, I fell into an opioid addiction.

Victor: What were you doing at the same aa meeting?

Jack: Aa is an important resource for all kinds of addictions, including pills.

Victor: You don’t say.

Jack: Nikki and I ran into each other at the meeting, we had some coffee, I walked her back here. That is what the hell I am doing. Simple as that. End of story.

When you shop wayfair,

Victor: Tell me, jack, you have a problem with me being concerned about my wife?

Jack: No. I want to know what part of your concern makes it all right for you to question my recovery and how I handle it.

Victor: Excuse me for a moment. You’re both addicts. You should be around him?

Nikki: Oh, victor, it was sweet of jack to go with me. This is where we simply say “thank you.”

Victor: For your information, I’m very happy that you’re still going to those meetings.

Nikki: Well, I– I need to. Not just for myself, but for everyone I love so that you all don’t worry about me.

Victor: Darling, I’m always worried about you. What happened today to upset you so much?

Nikki: You know that phone call you got last night at society?

Victor: What about it?

Nikki: That was about the fire at jordan’s prison, wasn’t it? And you didn’t say anything because you wanted to protect me.

Victor: It’s because I didn’t have enough information. I think this is the time when jack has to be on his way, right?

Nikki: Oh, yes, we’ve kept you long enough. Thank you again for escorting me back.

Jack: Anytime. Victor, always a pleasure. Nikki, let’s not let running into each other at a meeting be the next time we see each other.

Nikki: Oh, definitely not. Let’s arrange for a lunch.

Jack: Yeah, I’d like that.

[ Jack sighs ]

Victor: How’d you find out about the fire?

Nikki: Well, darling, it’s all over the internet.

Victor: Ah. I had wanted to tell you. It must have frightened you.

Nikki: Oh, it was shocking. A fire that large and so much damage? It just seems like jordan takes chaos and destruction with her wherever she goes. Apparently, she can’t just be locked up and forgotten, because now she is in my head and coloring every part of our lives.

Victor: She’ll fade out of our lives, I promise you. What I don’t like is that you need to confide in jack abbott. You know I don’t like it.

Audra: You don’t get to turn this around on me, put me on defense. This is about you, your fixation and your complete idiocy when it comes to ashley.

Tucker: It sounds like your fixation, actually. Why does it make you so irate?

Audra: Tucker, I left newman media for my future, okay? For our future. Because of your dramatic pitch that I should run glissade.

Tucker: I’m so sick of your I quit newman media story. That’s it. Nothing more to hide.

Audra: Oh, is this your offense as defense? I tell you you’re being a jerk and you’re accusing me of lying? Look, I told you, I saw the writing on the wall at newman media. I hit a dead end and I don’t do dead ends.

Tucker: Yeah, I’ve noticed.

Audra: And it wasn’t just the job offer. It was everything else you said.

Tucker: Which was what again?

Audra: Essentially…

[ Audra sighs ] …That I deserve the world and you want me to have it.

Tucker: Right. And you turned me down.

Audra: And I apologized.

Tucker: I seem to recall that. But you’re avoiding the question, aren’t you? Why do you care so much about how I feel about ashley?

Audra: Because before you got sucked back into her vortex, I could almost rely on you. Now, you bow to her every whim, which forces me to bow to yours. You know, I can’t believe I tricked myself into believing you meant a word you said to me.

Tucker: I did. I still do.

Audra: I’m what’s good in your life? I make your heart race. I’m the one you want to be with.

Tucker: Mm-hmm.

Audra: But here you are, desperately hoping ashley accepts your version of paris and she magically comes back to you. It’s insulting, tucker.

Tucker: Audra–

Audra: Look, I’m right here in front of you and I still don’t come first. That’s why I care. That’s why it matters to me, tucker. You know what? You can find someone else to jerk around while you pine away for ashley. You know, your goddess, your dream. I’ve had enough.

I have type 2 diabetes, but I manage it well

Tucker: Don’t go. Hold on. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I’m sorry. You’re right.

Audra: I’m right about what?

Tucker: It was unfair of me to jerk you around like that. I meant every word I said about how I feel about you, audra. It’s– it’s profound. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

Audra: But?

Tucker: But you are right. This ashley thing does have a hold on me, but it’s not because I’m pining for her.

Audra: Then, what is it?

Tucker: It’S… I’m just afraid it’s going to be round two of her being convinced that I did something I did not do and then becoming obsessed by it. And she’s going to show up and she’s going to say, “why are you doing this to me, tucker? You’re just trying to punish me, tucker.” And then, what’s going to be next after this one? Call me petty, call me childish if you like, but I want her to confess that she is the one who has done wrong here, so we can be done with it all.

Audra: She’s never going to do that, tucker. Think about it. What did ashley do when that waiter backed up your version of the story instead of hers? You said it yourself. Did she call you to apologize? No, she didn’T. She accused you of bribing him. So, tell me the truth. Is she right? Did you do it?

Chelsea: I just want to run to connor’s school and hold on to him for dear life and tell him everything’s going to be fine. And tell him that his mom will take care of any problem he ever has for the rest of his life.

Billy: I hear you. Not very practical, but I do understand the instinct.

Chelsea: I know. But you’re right. He’s in the right place with the right people. He just has to trust that this is manageable and he has to work through it. And he’s got great friends there. He– he loves basketball, which keeps him moving. He just– he just has to trust his teachers that he’s going to get through this.

Billy: Any chance you told all that to adam?

Chelsea: I did.

Billy: Mm-hmm.

Chelsea: And I’ll give you one guess how he reacted. He blamed the school. He blamed the faculty. Oh, he even blamed walnut grove for not catching things sooner. And then he threatened to go straight to the school and pull connor out immediately.

Billy: Well, that’s adam for you, right? Any doubt of a situation and all you do is start a war. Except in this case, right now, connor is the one that’s going to get hurt.

Adam: The last thing that I ever wanted was for my son to feel like his father deserted him. But who knows? Maybe it’s already too late. I mean, look at where we are. He needs me. And true to form, where am I?

Sally: Here. Calmly talking it through with someone who thinks you’re a wonderful father.

Adam: Even though my son’s either worried that I’m gonna flip out or he just doesn’t even want to talk to me at all?

Sally: You’ll never convince me that your son doesn’t adore you, adam.

Adam: Gosh, I wish you had known my mother, sally. She was the best mom and the best person that anybody could have dreamed of. You would have thought a little of her magic would have rubbed off on me. I mean, how I was raised by that woman and became such a lousy parent.

Sally: Okay, enough. I’m going to stop you right there, all right? I cannot let you beat up on yourself like this.

Diane: Hi.

Jack: Hi.

Diane: Tough time with nikki? I’m– I’m sorry.

Jack: Nikki was doing just fine until victor showed up.

Diane: [ Sighs ] I’m sure that didn’t go over very well.

Jack: Yeah, he wasn’t happy to see me, I’ll tell you that. He insisted that I tell him what I was doing in nikki’s office, thinking I was up to something, whatever that was.

Diane: Well, what’d you tell him?

Jack: I told him a story about how I ran into nikki at an aa meeting, we went for a cup of coffee and I walked her back to the office.

Diane: Did he buy it?

Jack: Well, he dropped it, thank god. Look, sooner or later, keeping the information that I am nikki’s sponsor away from him is going to blow up in her face. I keep trying to convince her of this, but she says she doesn’t want to let him down. She doesn’t want to appear weak.

Diane: This is putting you in a terrible position, jack.

Jack: Oh, it was everything in me not to come clean when he pressed, but nikki was standing right there. I couldn’t just betray her. She’s fragile enough as it is.

[ Diane sighs ] Lord knows I could fill a library with negative things I could say about him, but no one can doubt the depth of that man’s love for his wife. I just wish she’d trust it. I wish she’d tell him what’s going on. Right now, this deception is freaking her out.

Diane: Well, selfishly, I wish she’d come clean for another reason. If victor finds out that you’re her sponsor some other way than from her, it’s not just going to blow up in her face. It’s going to blow up in yours as well. And then the epic battle between victor newman and jack abbott will start up all over again.

Nikki: You said you didn’t tell me about the fire because you wanted more information. What have you learned?

Victor: Nothing as of yet. But I don’t want you to allow that woman to drive you to drink again, all right? She’s not going to harm you again. I promise you.

Nikki: What if jordan set the fire as a means to escape? I wouldn’t put it past her.

Victor: I promise you this. If she comes around, tries to do any harm to you or to our family, she will not live long enough to regret it. I would’ve called yesterday.

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue.

When your gut is

out of balance,

Nikki: Why doesn’t your confidence spill over into me at times like this? You’re always so sure that no matter what happens, you can conquer it.

Victor: Yeah, I will. And so will you.

[ Nikki sighs ]

Nikki: Are you sure?

Victor: I’m sure, my baby, okay?

Nikki: Even when I’m not.

Victor: My sweet love, if you feel that you don’t have the strength, you lean on me.

[ Nikki sighs ]

Victor: Come on, my baby. I’m tired. Let me take you home, okay?

Nikki: As tempting as that sounds, I– I can’t go home yet. I have so much work to do now that audra’s gone.

Victor: Oh, well, I’ll just make a few phone calls and we’ll find a replacement for her in no time.

Nikki: Oh, thank you, darling, and I– I know that you could, but I’m already lining up candidates.

Victor: Are you not taking on too much?

Nikki: No, no. This is what I want to do. This time I want to personally vet them, not just on their skills, but compatibility.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Nikki: So, I am fine. I want to work. I need to work.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Nikki: You of all people should understand that.

Victor: I do. So, I’ll leave you alone now. I’ll be in my office if you need me, okay?

Nikki: Okay.

Victor: I love you.

Nikki: I love you.

Victor: Whatever happens, you come to me, all right?

Nikki: I will, darling.

Victor: All right. See you later.

Nikki: Okay.

Jack: Victor can be infuriating, but after all these years, it’s more about habit than it is about actual hostility.

Diane: Unless he’s provoked. I mean, it might just be habit for you, but for him, it would be very real.

Jack: Wow, you really are concerned I’m going to start world war iii, aren’t you?

Diane: Look, victor can be charismatic and charming when he wants to be, but I have seen up close what a bully he can be when he’s angry.

Jack: Yeah, you and i have both seen his ire up close.

Diane: I can’t believe I was married to him.

Jack: I can’t believe I was married to nikki.

[ Diane chuckles ] And here we are in our correct configuration.

Diane: Yes, but unlike victor and me, you and nikki have remained close. And I’m– I’m sure she’s glad she has you.

Jack: If somebody would have told me all those years ago that victor and I would tolerate each other enough to have a drink together, I would have laughed in their faces.

Diane: Well, maybe he’ll surprise you. I mean, you said yourself that he loves his wife very much. Hopefully, he’ll be as dedicated to keeping the peace as you are for her sake.

Jack: If I could just convince nikki to tell him why it is I am hanging around so much. Though it had to be difficult for her to watch me lie my way through that cover story, knowing how I feel about it. Maybe she told him after I left. Think I should text and find out?

Diane: Yeah, couldn’t hurt.

Jack: Got a voicemail from traci. Two hours ago. I asked her to call me with any news about ashley, and of course, I was too busy with nikki.

Diane: Is ashley all right?

Jack: I guess we’re about to find out.

Tucker: No, I did not bribe the waiter, audra, and I didn’t trash the place. Ashley will just– she won’t let up. I’m sick of it.

Audra: Okay.

Tucker: You weren’t there, she was. She witnessed everything that went down and she’s still acting as if she’s the injured party here.

Audra: Okay, just stop, okay? I can’t do this anymore. I am done listening to you obsess about ashley. You wanted to know why I care so much? I told you. You say that you want me, and always, forever. But I am still standing here when I could have walked out that door. And still, the only thing on your mind is ashley. You know, it’s time for you to pick a side. Right here, this minute.

Tucker: What are you saying?

Audra: Either cut ashley out of your life once and for all or never see me again.

Billy: Look, maybe it’s best I just butt out at this point.

Chelsea: What? No. Why? You’re a great sounding board.

Billy: Maybe, but I cannot be objective when it comes to adam. I’m sorry.

Chelsea: Billy, you didn’t say anything shocking. You just don’t want adam to fly off the handle and make things worse for connor.

Billy: No, I don’T. I’m not saying he doesn’t love his kid. Of course, he does. I wouldn’t doubt that for a minute, but–

Chelsea: No, of course not. I mean, I trust that adam loves his child very much. What I don’t trust is adam’s judgment when it comes to taking a beat before reacting, especially when it involves his son.

[ Sighs ] I told him we just have to stay calm and try to not make things worse for connor.

Billy: Is he going to listen to you?

Chelsea: Probably not. Adam’s probably already halfway there.

Sally: Do you want to know what I think?

Adam: Please, tell me.

Sally: I think you’re a pretty great dad. You’re supportive, unselfish.

[ Adam sighs ]

Adam: How do you figure that?

Sally: It’s not as if you sent connor away, adam. He chose a school that he thought could help him. You and chelsea looked into it. You made sure that it was what he needed. And even though it’s miles away, you showed him that you have faith in him. You trust his judgment and you respect his feelings. And ever since then, you have been in constant contact with him, calls, visits, video chats.

Adam: Yeah. And sometimes it’s still not enough. For me, you know, not for him. I miss my son.

Sally: That’s my point. You could have been selfish and said, “I don’t care what you want. I want you here in genoa city.” And other than this current bump in the road, connor has been loving every minute of it. Look at that gift that you gave him.

Adam: I know. It’s just– it’s so hard to know what is right. Like, am I going to find out in a few years when he says he never wants to see me again?

Sally: It’s never going to happen. I grew up without either one of my parents because they couldn’t be bothered to stick around. Do you know what it would mean to me if just one of them cared enough to show up and stand by me the way that you are standing by connor? So, don’t you dare think that it doesn’t matter to him. I can see it every time he looks at you. It matters more than you can ever imagine.

Traci: I’m so worried about her. She’s not answering her phone. If you hear from her, will you please let me know? And I will do the same for you.

[ Traci sighs ] Oh, jack. All right, um, I love you. Bye.

Jack: Damn it.

Diane: Nothing from ashley in there?

Jack: No missed calls, no voicemails, no texts.

Diane: This must have shaken her to her core.

Jack: And the waiter confirmed tucker’s version of the story of what happened at the cafe. How is that possible?

Diane: Well, only two ways I can think of. Either ashley is misremembering–

Jack: No. Look, there is no way she would make up an encounter like that.

Diane: Or tucker has found a way to pay off the waiter to back him up.

Tucker: I don’t react well to ultimatums, audra. You know me better than that.

Audra: Trust me, I know. I know you better than you know yourself.

Tucker: Oh, yeah?

Audra: Yeah.

Tucker: If that were true, then you’d understand why I’m so conflicted here.

Audra: Oh, I understand perfectly. You’re so conflicted because you’re too stubborn to accept the fact that ashley is just a fantasy, an imaginary ideal you refuse to let go of. You know, she’s not your reality. I am. Or at least. You keep telling me that. But I know what this is really about.

Tucker: Do you?

Audra: Yeah.

Tucker: Enlighten me.

Audra: You’re clinging to this whole ashley thing not because you love her, but because you can’t stand to lose. It makes you crazy. It turns your image of yourself upside down. Well, deal with it. Right here, right now, you are losing. You’re losing big. You’re losing me.

Tucker: No, no, no. Don’t go.

Audra: Then make a damn choice. I love your dress.

Tucker: Audra? I choose you.

Billy: Hey. What are you thinking right now?

Chelsea: I’m just thinking I am glad I didn’t run off to see connor when I was upset. I’m grateful you talked me down.

[ Sighs ] The problem is, no one is going to be able to calm adam down and I’m scared of what he might do in the name of protecting his son.

Billy: We’ll handle it, okay? We’ll handle it together, no matter what. And just to be safe, we’re not going to do coffee for the rest of the day, okay? Tea maybe, but no more coffee.

Chelsea: [ Chuckles ] Deal. You know, you’re really, really good for me.

Billy: Correction, we’re good for each other.

[ Chelsea sighs ]

[ Phone ringing ]

[ Phone ringing ]

Traci: Oh. Jack, you got my message.

Jack: Please tell me you have heard from ashley.

Traci: I have, finally. She just called a few minutes ago. She apologized for running out on me. She said she needed time to process and to plan.

Jack: Process and plan? What does that mean?

Traci: I have no idea, but she’s on her way back here to meet me at the bistro.

Jack: Wait, is that a good idea, going back there?

Traci: I wasn’t going to argue with her, jack.

Jack: Is she hoping to get a different answer from someone on staff there?

Traci: Well, if she is, I wouldn’t count on it.

Jack: Diane suggested that maybe tucker worked out a deal with this guy.

Traci: You know, ashley thought the same thing and she is trying desperately to believe it.

Jack: You don’t sound too convinced, though.

Traci: [ Sighs ] I’m not– I’m not sure of anything right now. Except this, I will watch out for our sister. And I will keep you posted. And I think I’m going to do a little investigating of my own.

Jack: Okay. Just be careful and be safe. We are talking about tucker mccall here.

Traci: [ Scoffs ] Will do. Love you.

Jack: Much love right back. Ashley is on her way to the cafe to meet traci there.

Diane: At least we know they’ll be together.

Jack: Oh, some part of me wants to get to the airport and fly to paris to be there for my sisters. Another part of me realizes nikki needs me here right now.

Victor: Hi. Listen to me. I want you to keep an eye out for my wife at all times. And I want you to make sure that she is safe. Is that clear? Another issue. Until we have a list of all the people who died in that fire up in oregon, I want you to keep a very, very close eye out for any glimpse of that woman, that jordan woman. You know who I’m talking about, right? You inform me as soon as you even get a glimpse of her. Is that clear? Okay.

[ Phone ringing ]

[ Phone ringing ]

Nikki: Hello.

[ Big band music plays ]

[ Phone ringing ]

[ Big band music plays ]

[ Phone ringing ]

[ Ringing continues ] Oh, god! I can’T. I can’T. I can’T. I can’T.

[ Nikki sighs ]

Announcer: Next week on the young and the restless…

Tessa: I was surprised that you wanted to meet with just me and not mariah.

Abby: I have a proposition for you.

Danny: I haven’t seen you since, uh…

Christine: Since I saw you kissing phyllis.

Victor: Baby?

Nikki: Oh, god, victor.

Victor: Yes.

Nikki: Oh, no. No, no, no. What did you do?
