Chelsea: Hi.

Billy: Hi. You’re late.

Chelsea: Sorry.

Billy: Ah.

Chelsea: It was the traffic.

Billy: Very funny because you live right there.

Chelsea: Yes, I’m funny. What can I say?

Billy: I love you when you’re funny. You look great.

Chelsea: You’re just saying that because you missed me last night.

Billy: I did miss you last night. You know, it’s amazing what a man can get used to. I missed the kicks in the back and the stealing of covers and the snoring.

Chelsea: Never happened. If you got such a bad night’s sleep, why are you in such a good mood now?

Billy: Because of you. And the fact that I think we finally landed on a way forward to take down tucker once and for all.

Chelsea: Oh, well, that’s good news.

Billy: Yes. It’s a game changer. As long as everything goes according to plan. You should’ve saw my mom’s face. She was lit up when we finally decided what to do.

Chelsea: Wow. That’s incredible.

Billy: Yeah.

Chelsea: When can I hear all about it?

Billy: After I swear you to secrecy.

Ashley: Good morning.

Jack: Good morning.

Ashley: Is that smile for me?

Jack: It’s just nice to see you and not have to prepare for battle.

Ashley: Oh, sure. That’s what it is, jack. I have a feeling that me selling glacade to tucker is at the very top of your christmas list.

Jack: Well, ask santa. I’ve been a very good boy this year. How about giving me a little hint? Is the sale on or off?

Ashley: Well, as much as I would love to hold on to that company, I am actually considering your request.

Jack: Ashley, I’m telling you, giving that man control of the company could be our ticket to getting him out of our lives for good. That’s what we want, right?

Tucker: Why good morning, audra. Did you sleep well?

Audra: Um, why are you shouting? Are– are you looking for something? Or someone?

Tucker: Ah, just giving young mr. Abbott ample time to collect his stuff. Get back to jabot.

Audra: Oh, look, you’re wasting your breath.

Tucker: Is he in the shower?

Audra: You know, tucker, this fixation with me and kyle–

Tucker: No, no, no. It’s no fixation. I think you’re young. I think, uh, you ought to live it up. Take advantage. Just keep your head in the game. We’re cool. We’re cool. You just gotta give me what I want.

Audra: Which is?

Tucker: I just gotta know this guy is trustworthy. Isn’t he supposed to be coughing up secrets, so-called secrets, from the sanctum sanctorum of jabot? Yes? Where are they?

Audra: Yes. Yes.

Tucker: What have you learned? And how are you going to prove to me they really are secrets and not a load of bs meant to throw us off our game?

Diane: What looks good to you?

Kyle: Everything. I’m starving.

Diane: Ah, that’s a good sign. It means your confidence that we’ve found a way to stop tucker has fueled your appetite.

Kyle: I don’t know about that, mom. I think I just want pancakes.

Diane: Oh, okay. Well, maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m just hungry because I’m excited.

Kyle: About our plan?

Diane: Yes. Plus, jill has joined forces with the abbotts and that is an alliance to intimidate friend and foe.

Nate: Yeah. Hey. I was hoping to run into you.

Devon: Both of us?

Nate: Sure. The more the merrier. So, uh, what’s going on?

Jill: Okay. Nate, we need to bring you up to speed.

Nate: Okay. Uh, hit me.

Jill: In the past, some people have accused me of exaggerating. You know, or fudging facts to fit my narrative, but I assure you, this is not hyperbole. We are in grave danger. Chancellor-winters is facing a potentially existential threat. We have work to do. Hi. I use febreze fade defy plug.

Announcer: Additional sponsorship provided by…

Ashley: I’m always gonna be connected to tucker on some level because of our grandson, but other than celebrating dominic’s birthday once a year, he’s not gonna be in my life.

Jack: And this is about more than just you and glacade. This is your future. And devon and abby and even little dominic. Look, anything we can do to send tucker back to hell or one of his ashrams is worth giving it a try.

Ashley: Okay. Just please lay out the plan for me, one more time.

Jack: Happy to. Tucker buys your half of glacade.

Ashley: That’s going to take a lot of his resources.

Jack: He takes the company and he tries to threaten our place in the marketplace.

Ashley: And that’s going to take even more money to get to that level.

Jack: Yeah. A lot more money. A veritable stream of money that he does not have and if I have anything to say about it, he will not find.

Ashley: You know what? I have to say that me flip-flopping on selling him my half of the company is going to work to our advantage because I’m clearly going to raise the price, right? So it means more money for us and less for him.

Jack: Good point. Now, while he is raising capital for his new company, he will also be trying to sow discontent inside of jabot. He’s going to do anything he can to weaken us and we can’t let him win that battle.

Ashley: Of course not.

Jack: He’s going to try to destabilize us and take over.

Ashley: I know, jack. And probably make us suffer. I got it.

Jack: So, we turn the tables on him. We use his plan against him. We strike first and we strike decisively. We tear his company apart from the inside. And if you want to blend it back into jabot, fold it back in, by all means, do it. We leave tucker in the dust.

Ashley: Right. How exactly do we chip away at glacade?

Jack: We are planning to expose his complicity in the cover-up at mccall. It is the truth. It is the best way to discredit him. Any board of directors is not going to let him stand after that story is out. So, are you with us on this?

Diane: This coffee looks nice. But in my mind, I’m sipping champagne to celebrate the demise of tucker mccall. Vintage goes best with gloating.

Kyle: You think dad will be upset that we left him out of the loop?

Diane: Look, if tucker is planning on using you to destroy jabot from the inside, then it’s up to you to stop him. I think jack will be proud.

Kyle: Well, tucker and audra haven’t come right out and say what they expect of me, but I am perfectly positioned to cause some chaos. So far, all he wants me to do is keep my eyes open.

Diane: Do you think he trusts you yet?

Kyle: Mm. I don’t think he trusts anyone, but he seems like he’s buying it so fa and I know I can keep the act up.

Diane: Yeah. Let him see how unhappy you are with your family and all of our decisions. Look to him for support. Oh, he loves it when people seek his advice. Let him see how devoted you are to him.

Kyle: That’s good. That’s good. I can get in closer with him. I know a couple of ways I can do that.

Diane: He’ll get comfortable, he’ll start speaking freely. Maybe he’ll loop you in. We need to know what his concrete plans are for glacade.

Kyle: And then, we launch our attack. We make it decisive and surgical. I love it.

Audra: Have some faith in me, tucker. Look, we’re in the early stages. I’m just laying the groundwork.

Tucker: What are we laying the groundwork for?

Audra: Building trust. You know, it has to happen slowly, gradually if we want it to last. And we want it to last, don’t we? Right? Okay, kyle just got back to jabot. What’s it gonna look like if he just starts making big moves right out of the gate?

Tucker: You’re missing the point. The size of the move is not what matters. The question is, who is he doing the move for? Us or jabot? Every instinct I have tells me he’s playing us. You say have– have faith in me, tucker. Well, I don’t like appealing to faith. I shouldn’t have to. I want some evidence. And so far, I don’t have any.

Audra: I’m doing my best.

Tucker: Are you? I’ve seen your best. This ain’t it. Get him to do something. Anything. Prove to me he’s really on our side. That is if you haven’t lost sight of what’s going on here.

Audra: You know I can do it. I can do anything.

Tucker: Why don’t you prove it?

Nate: This threat that you mentioned, does it have anything to do with tucker?

Jill: Well, it could. It could all be connected. Have you heard about the fire at mattie’s school?

Nate: Yeah. Yeah. She’s all right, isn’t she?

Devon: Mattie’s physically okay, but you know she lost one of her professors.

Jill: No, it was her mentor, her advisor.

Devon: Really?

Nate: Wow. I had no clue. Poor kid must be going through it.

Devon: Yeah.

Nate: Well, thank god lily’s there with her.

Jill: Yeah, thank god. And she’s gonna be staying there with mattie.

Nate: Okay. Okay. Well, that makes sense. Um, well, it’s a couple of days, we can handle things on our own.

Jill: Oh, well, think longer than that, okay? She asked for a short leave of absence because she wants to stay with her until mattie’s through it.

Devon: Yeah. She’ll still be available to talk whenever we need though.

Nate: So, well, lily’s given so much to this company. We’ll show her we can handle things on our own. For a while.

Jill: Mm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Devon: You’re not so sure about that, jill?

Jill: Well, under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t bat an eye because you can handle anything.

Nate: With tucker making mysterious moves, nothing’s quite normal.

Jill: It’s the timing. The timing is so bad for her to leave. Oh, my god, this man is a wild card. He could be up to anything and he will be up to anything.

Mamie: So, you’ve heard the latest, I’m assuming? This is no time for talking. That tyrant tucker mccall is coming after our company. It is time for all hands on deck.

[Sneeze]

Mamie: Well, how fortuitous that I should just happen upon this little tribunal. I guess my invitation got lost in the ethers.

Jill: Yes. Yes, it’s uh, very fortuitous.

Devon: No. This was just a last-minute thing.

Jill: No. No, he’s just being polite. You know, because, with all apologies, you weren’t invited to this. You see, um, the three of us can handle this crisis.

Mamie: Yeah. Yeah. Well, it’s good to know what you mean by a tribunal. Good old jill.

Devon: Okay. Listen, this is a frustrating time and we’re all–

Jill: We called this meeting. Pardon me. We called this meeting to bring nate up to speed, okay? You already know everything that I was gonna tell him, so I also want to find out if devon is okay with nate coming back to chancellor-winters, yes?

Mamie: Poor thing, her memory is getting a little shoddy. She’s forgotten how much I’ve already done by bringing nate back on board where he belongs. And that we agreed that we were going to do this together.

Jill: Look, I realize that this is all hands on deck, mamie, okay? But between the three of us, we’ve got plenty of hands. You know what? I have a great idea. Why don’t you phone in your suggestions while you’re sitting on some lovely island somewhere?

Mamie: But the view is so pleasant here. There are some exceptions. But chancellor-winters is the subject of discussion. I am vested, I am interested and I’m not going anywhere.

Chelsea: Wow, that sounds exciting. How many cups of coffee have you had today?

Billy: It’s the first. This is all adrenaline. I see it all coming together. All the pieces are falling into the right spot. You know, there’s 1,000 possibilities and I can see them all laid out in front of me. Everybody’s got their part to play and once this machine gets up and running, tucker’s gonna be out of there once and for all.

Chelsea: Who’s minding the store?

Billy: What do you mean?

Chelsea: Well, it just sounds like all of these executives are focused on pest control. Who’s doing the day-to-day, you know, corporate stuff? Maybe you should do that?

Billy: No, no, no, no. I want to be where the action is. I want to see it all go down. What’s important is what’s going on in the c-suite. That’s where all the action is. And this is dangerous, don’t get me wrong, but you know, no risk, no reward. You okay? Did I say something? Because, you know, we’re not– we’re not doing anything all that bad. We’re not gonna get charged or anything.

Chelsea: No, that’s not it. That’s not it.

Billy: What is it?

Chelsea: It just sounds like you’re– you’re like jonesing for a payoff, you know? Like, uh, you’re gonna bet it all in a game of poker.

Billy: No. It– this has nothing to do with gambling, chelsea.

Chelsea: But it sounds like gambling.

Billy: Hm?

Chelsea: Heart racing, pulse-pounding. If you’re gonna win, you’re gonna win big. There’s no way you can lose. I mean, for me, from where I’m standing, I could see you falling into trouble. And you don’t even know it.

Ashley: Why do you not think I’m going to do the right thing where tucker’s involved?

Jack: Wait, no. It’s tucker that I don’t trust. I just want to know what you think of our plan?

Ashley: Well, do we have another plan? We don’T. Because devon is not going to forgive tucker anytime soon, so forget about him getting in touch with his humanity. To tell you the truth, just being in the same area code as tucker is um, disturbing.

Jack: Hey, look. I realize this isn’t easy for you.

Ashley: You have no idea.

Jack: I know only what you have told me and I promise to respect your privacy, but I am also aware that you went through your own personal hell because of this man.

Ashley: You’re my big brother, so that means you want to beat him up.

Jack: Oh, you have no idea. I know you don’t need me riding in to save you, but.

Ashley: No, I don’t need you for that, but thank you.

Jack: We have to get this man out of our lives. Expunge him now and forever, for everyone’s sake.

Tucker: You know how much I respect and admire your intelligence, do you not? Especially right now.

Audra: Oh, yeah.

Tucker: Yeah.

Audra: Imagine that. He wants me for my mind.

Tucker: Yes.

Audra: Now, I’m not sure how I feel about this.

Tucker: But I– I– I think your grey matter is just smoking hot.

Audra: Oh, did I give you the impression I wanted you to stop? No, lay it on thick. No, I– I like it when you lie.

Tucker: Yeah. I know you. I know you better than kyle could ever know you. And, uh, I’ve taken you places, we’ve gone places together that kyle would never conceive.

Audra: So, you’re not threatened by my connection with kyle?

Tucker: No. We have too much history. I don’t think you’d throw that away for some fling with a haircut.

Audra: I want to know about our future.

Tucker: Yeah, that’s unwritten.

Audra: You know, it would help to know exactly what I’ll be doing as this plan goes along.

Tucker: God, you’re irresistible. Okay.

[ Tucker exhaling ] I love it. I love it when you pretend you don’t like being blindfolded. When you pretend you don’t love not knowing what you’re in for. You love the thrill, don’t you? So do I. You love the electricity. I know I do. I’m feeling it.

Audra: Hm. What do you think that’s about?

Tucker: Uh, I think ashley’s made her mind up. For almost 100 years, harry and david has been making gourmet gifts to share with loved ones near and far. Because giving is about more than a day on the calendar. We believe the world would be a better place if we all shared more. Harry and david. Life is a gift, share more.

[Deep exhale]

Jack: If we take away everything that once fueled his fire, money, power, you, he has nothing. That is how we defeat the enemy. We take away his thunder.

Ashley: Mm-hmm. I could use a little peace and quiet.

Jack: Yeah. Well, that’s the goal. We’re going to silence tucker mccall.

Ashley: And I’m here for it.

[ Phone chiming ]

Jack: Good news?

Ashley: So it begins.

Audra: So, what’s going on with you and ashley?

Tucker: Uh, she doesn’t trust me. And all I want is her half of the company we bought together.

Audra: Glacade, right?

Tucker: Yeah. That’s the other part of my plan.

Audra: Oh, yeah. The– the entire scope of which you refuse to share with me.

[ Tucker chuckling ]

Tucker: Yeah, sorry. It’s– where’s the excitement in that? I prefer to give you bits of information at a time. Keep you guessing. Keep you excited. Keep you hungry.

Audra: I wanna know more. You know, I need to know what’s expected of me.

Tucker: No, you just– you just– you keep doing what you’re doing. You’re good. You just keep being irresistible, flexible. You give kyle what he thinks he needs. You offer him the world and then you leave him in ashes. And please, beforehand, you’ve got to convince me that he’s truly on board. Okay?

Audra: Yeah. Uh, so it’s just another tuesday.

Tucker: Yeah. Yes. For you, it’s another tuesday. For me, I gotta go meet ashley abbott.

Audra: Oh, good luck.

Tucker: Yeah, thanks. I think I’ll need it. If I’m not back in 24 hours, alert the authorities.

Audra: Bye.

Tucker: Bye.

Audra: Ugh.

Kyle: So, this is why you were so insistent on having breakfast out this morning?

Diane: I wanted to talk to you alone.

Kyle: And so, there’s no chance my father finds out I’m a double agent.

Diane: Look, kyle. I know you have reservations about keeping this from him, but it’s for the best. This way, jack maintains plausible deniability and we get to keep our plan in motion for you to be the one to save jabot.

Kyle: Well, I wish I had something to report. Tucker and audra haven’t given me any specifics yet.

Diane: Just don’t forget what kind of criminal tucker is. If he finds out what you’re up to–

Kyle: Oh, I can handle tucker, mom. Don’t worry about that. I want to know what happens next? After we take tucker down.

Diane: Well, I think the first thing is jack will want to absorb glacade into jabot.

Kyle: That makes sense. It’s a perfect fit and it’s a smart idea.

Billy: I don’t know if it was delivery or the punch line, but that joke was a little bit off. And I’m assuming that was a joke.

Chelsea: I’m worried, billy.

Billy: It’s nothing to be worried about, chelsea. I’m simply sharing, you know, work stuff.

Chelsea: Well, no. I feel like it’s more than that. This whole tucker situation, the uncertainty of it all. The excitement, the win, lose or draw of it. I mean, don’t you remember having those feelings, sitting at a poker table willing to put it all on the line?

Billy: I think I know what this is about, okay? And to be honest, chelsea, this is just the way the corporate world spins. It’s the way the game is played.

Chelsea: Right. Well, I’m in business too–

Billy: I get that. I’m telling you just, it’s just a little bit of a different animal here, okay? Because we’re in the trenches and we’re swinging big. And everything’s on the line right now. And sometimes, you got to play the long shot and sometimes you win and sometimes you– okay. Wow.

Chelsea: I just wanted to make sure you were hearing yourself.

Billy: Yeah. No, I, uh… I– I hear it.

Chelsea: I wanted to make sure once you did hear it, you didn’t resent me for saying something. Feeling sluggish or weighed down?

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue. This is one of the millions of new and used cars

Billy: You thought I’d get mad at you?

Chelsea: Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.

Billy: No. I’m glad you said something. To be honest, I– you know, you’re supposed to keep me accountable. You’re supposed to call me in my nonsense. I’m just upset I didn’t hear it or see it myself.

Chelsea: Well, it’s the dopamine hit, right? Making a big bet. The rush of it all, something like that.

Billy: Yeah. You know, I was just talking to jack about gambling a few days ago and I was telling him what a superior read I am of other players and I guess I didn’t realize how much I was craving it. And I’m sitting here trying to convince myself that you don’t know what you’re talking about, but the truth is, you saw it and I didn’T.

Chelsea: That’s me. The big buzzkill.

Billy: I’m grateful for the buzzkill. Truth is, chelsea, I’m– I’m– you know, I’m– I’m one step away from walking down that back alley and– and finding that dark bar and throwing down a couple of hands of hold ’em. And that’s not good. That’s a slippery slope for me. That’s me losing big and I’m not just talking about money. So, uh, thank you very much for the buzzkill.

Chelsea: Well, you’ve been there for me. I’m just holding up my end of the deal.

Tucker: Hey.

Ashley: Hi.

Tucker: Nice timing.

Diane: Gotta love ’em.

Tucker: Hey, it’s the new coo of jabot cosmetics. And that person’s mother.

Kyle: Ashley, tucker. We were just leaving.

Tucker: How are you settling in over there? Audra tells me you had to take the job, but I know it’s–

Kyle: No, you don’t know the first thing about me.

Diane: You know what, tucker? Don’t feel the need to stop and chat next time. We don’t need you ruining an otherwise pleasant day.

Tucker: Brittle condemnation from diane jenkins. It’s so endearing.

Kyle: Don’t let him push your buttons. It’s his own kind of twisted fun.

Tucker: Hey, if you guys are feeling generous, would you pass along a message to jack?

Diane: What? Are you scared to tell him yourself?

Kyle: What is it?

Tucker: Tell him I’m not interested in jabot. That I have a new mission in life. At least I hope to have one, if I can get her approval?

Ashley: Why don’t we get a table so we can discuss this? See you.

Tucker: Very well. See you.

Diane: Hm. Hmm.

Kyle: So, what do you think?

Diane: About ashley?

Kyle: Yeah. Is she in on the plan or has she already backed out?

Diane: Well, hopefully, jack has convinced her to side with the family.

Kyle: Let’s hope so because whatever she does next, it’s a game changer.

Tucker: You have a very lean and hungry look going. That something tells me we won’t need to look at the menu.

Ashley: Yeah, this isn’t gonna take long at all.

Devon: Okay. Listen, we all need to remember that we’re on the same team and we’re all working towards the same goal here.

Jill: Yep.

Devon: So, all this distrust and this fighting between the two of you, it’s not helping anything.

Jill: No, no, no, no. This is a friendly collaboration. We’re having fun.

Mamie: It’s true and you have to be gentle with the poor dear. You know, when confronted with some new ideas, it’s difficult for them to comprehend.

Devon: Okay. See what you’re you’re doing right there? That’s unnecessary. And it’s wasting time. We don’t need to do this when we could be talking about things that really matter. Can you guys do it off the clock maybe?

Jill: Oh, what a good idea. See, what he’s saying here is that we need you to hit the spa and then we could just text you everything we come up with.

Devon: No.

Jill: Don’t you think that’s fine? What about you? What do you think about that?

Nate: I’m on the sidelines. Um, so this might be a situation where it’s more prudent for me to sit back and um, take it all in. Yeah.

Jill: Coward. Devon.

Devon: I mean, we don’t know how tucker’s gonna come after us, so I think it would be foolish to refuse mamie’s help. And I know lily would agree with me.

Mamie: Now, see, she is an amazing and insightful young woman and we need more of those. Lucky for you that I’m here and ready to roll up my sleeves.

Jill: Oh, so lucky. Just as long as you know that you have absolutely no say and absolutely no power in the company.

Mamie: You sound like you’re afraid of me, jill. You’re just feeling a little bit intimidated by my presence.

Jill: No, no, no. I just think that nate and devon um, are just a little too polite and too cowardly to tell you when it’s time for you to zip it.

Nate: If I may? Um, like you said, jill, these are challenging times. And if we want to prove to lily that we can keep this thing afloat without her, we’re off to a bad start.

Devon: I completely agree with you. So, can we get down to business?

Jill: Absolutely. All right.

Devon: Thank you.

Jill: All right. All right. First order of business. Nate, you have been given a second chance by your family.

Nate: And I am deeply grateful for it.

Jill: And I know you will not take advantage of the love of your family. That’s not something you will do, is it?

Nate: In a nutshell, welcome back, watch your step.

Jill: You’re such a quick study. All right, devon. What are your thoughts on nate coming back?

Devon: Um, I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the table. And, uh, with lily taking this leave of absence, I think the timing couldn’t be better. Because we need you.

Nate: You got me. Sometimes, the lows of bipolar depression

Devon: So, I believe that nate is clearly our most valuable asset right now because he brings something to the table that no one else really can and that’s the fact that he knows our company as well as any of us do.

Nate: Whatever you need. Name it.

Devon: Thank you. Jill, would you mind if we took off and went to the office to discuss ideas?

Jill: I think it’s a brilliant idea. Just keep me posted.

Mamie: Oh, I’m so happy to see the two of you working together like this.

Devon: Yeah. Yeah. What about the two of you? Do you guys have plans today?

Mamie: Oh, well, don’t tell me that you think that we’re gonna start a little mess the moment that you leave?

Devon: Well, it did cross my mind.

Jill: Oh, my god. We will be on our best behavior, devon.

Mamie: Oh, no, go on. We can see ourselves out.

Devon: All right. We will talk soon then ladies.

Jill: Mm-hmm.

Devon: Enjoy the day.

Jill: Oh, for god’s sake.

Mamie: You are going to give them the wrong impression about us. They need our support right now. And I thought that we were together on this idea about tucker.

Jill: No, mamie, I said we had a common enemy. And I will not apologize for telling you that you do not have the background or the skills to help us in this enterprise. All right, you made a lot of money. Well, good for you. But have you ever run a large company? A company that’s in crisis like this one? Have you ever gone up against an enemy like tucker mccall?

Mamie: I have done just fine up against you. Tucker mccall will be a piece of cake.

Billy: Everyone’s got the best intentions, you know.U, very much. We want to do right. We want to protect the family company, including my mother.

Chelsea: But you’ve got some concerns.

Billy: Yeah. There’s always concerns, everybody’s got hidden agendas, you know?

Chelsea: It seems like a lot is riding on kyle. Is he up for it?

Billy: I don’t know. Kyle is so green, he thinks he’s sprinting through a field. The truth is this is gonna be a marathon in the mud.

Chelsea: Well, maybe he needs advice from someone much older–

Billy: Hey now.

Chelsea: And wiser.

Billy: Yeah, uh, that’s not me. I– we both know I’m not the one with the answers.

Chelsea: Try it. Talk to him.

Billy: Kyle does not want advice from his uncle. In fact, right now, I don’t think kyle wants advice from anyone.

[ Diane laughing ]

Jack: Hey, how was breakfast? What did I miss?

Diane: Oh, it was great. Your son ate an entire stack of pancakes. You should have seen it.

Kyle: Uh, dad, we ran into ashley with tucker.

Jack: Yeah. I heard that was happening.

Kyle: So, she’s agreed to sell her half a glacade?

Jack: Yeah. That’s what we discussed. Though she’s a little hard to read and probably harder still to pin down, but so far so good.

Tucker: So, do you have an answer for me?

Ashley: I’ve decided to sell you my half of glacade.

Tucker: Oh, and no caveats, no conditions, strings attached?

Ashley: It’s all yours, free and clear.

Tucker: You’re very amenable today. Suspiciously so.

Ashley: You want the company, let’s make a deal.

Tucker: It’s obvious you’re angling here. You have been since you you got back from paris. I just can’t figure out what it is yet. Everything I do that’s for my health is an accomplishment.

Nate: Expecting a call from lily?

Devon: Either from her or from the police station. Mamie and jill asking us to bail them out.

Nate: They’re two intelligent thoughtful women with far too much class to get into fisticuffs in public. They’ll be fine.

Devon: I think we handled that situation about as well as we could.

Nate: Ooh, don’t get involved. Don’t take sides.

Devon: Yeah.

Nate: I want to thank you.

Devon: What did I do?

Nate: You know, everything.

Devon: You’re not gonna get emotional, are you? No, you’re welcome.

Nate: I won’t let you down.

Devon: You better not.

Jill: I will ask you one final time, how much?

Mamie: Excuse me?

Jill: How much will it take for you to go away? I would love to write that check.

Mamie: I told you when I got back into town, I could not be bought and I meant it.

Jill: Okay. Well, it was worth a try. It worked before it, didn’t it? All right, mamie, if not money, what will it take to get you out of this mix? I will give you anything.

Mamie: You know, I was about to ask you the same. What will it take to make you go away?

Chelsea: Okay. I have a very important question I have to ask you and I need you to be honest with me.

Billy: I will be honest with you. Go ahead.

Chelsea: In the deepest, darkest part of night, would you rather have a private fire pit where you can roast s’mores, sing songs, and strum a ukulele?

Billy: I don’t play a ukulele.

Chelsea: Not yet. Or would you rather have backstage passes to five of your favorite bands on tour?

Billy: Is this a christmas gifting kind of thing?

Chelsea: Maybe?

Billy: Okay, because if it is, you have no business buying me anything.

Chelsea: You are impossible to buy for. Fine, fine. Just text me your wish list.

Billy: I can do that. I can– I can text you, but there’s not gonna be anything on it because I have everything I want.

Chelsea: Like that new jacket you overpaid for?

Billy: No, not that. It’s a beautiful woman who’s very funny. Who clearly makes me happier than I ever deserved. Makes me think. No apologies.

Chelsea: I wasn’t gonna apologize.

Billy: Who makes me a better person. And who would have thought you could actually improve on this greatness.

Chelsea: Listen, shut up and kiss me.

Ashley: You don’t know what the angle is, tucker, because there is no angle.

Tucker: So never mind the fact that on thanksgiving, you were practically giving it to me. And just yesterday, you were willing to fight tooth and nail for it.

Ashley: Yeah. You’re right. Guilty. I’ve been very mercurial.

Tucker: And we haven’t even discussed the selling price.

Ashley: Yeah. It’s not gonna be cheap. I’m gonna make you pay. I’ll be in touch.

Tucker: Okay.

Ashley: Hey.

Audra: Hi.
