Brooke: This is what we needed.
Ridge: It is. Why did we leave the house?
Brooke: I don’t know. I just– a change of scenery, you know. So we can forget about deacon and sheila.
Ridge: I think about deacon all the time. Not in that way. I just think that I don’t like the guy and he’s– he’s– I just didn’t think he was an idiot.
Brooke: Ugh, okay. Well, he says that he loves sheila.
Ridge: That’s what I mean. He’s an idiot.
Brooke: Look, he’s made some bad decisions, but he’s made some good decisions lately, like his relationship with his daughter and look what he’s done to il giardino. He’s made it a hit. And maybe he just looks at sheila differently. He’s unbiased compared to how we see her.
Ridge: Okay. Do you hear yourself? We’re talking about sheila.
Brooke: Yeah, I know.
[ Brooke groaning ] I just wanna– I wanna forget about sheila. I don’t want to talk about her. We have more important things to worry about, like my daughter and her relationship with your son, if we can call it that. You know, I am worried about her. She’s not even listening to me. See, here I go again with this negativity. I wanna stop that. No more negativity. I wanna think positive and I wanna think about beautiful things.
Ridge: Thank you. Thank you.
Brooke: Why yes, you are beautiful.
Ridge: Hm?
Brooke: Mm-hmm. And this, of course. Wow, this design? This is truly inspiring.
Ridge: It is inspired. By you.
Brooke: Aw.
Ridge: So, when you think about it, freud would say that you’re the reason I wanna defeat my father.
Brooke: Oh.
[ Brooke giggling ]
Eric: Yeah.
[ Eric sighing ] Nah. Don’t like it. Rj, look, I was gonna go with the guipure, but I think it’s too contemporary, it’s too modern for us, so let’s go with the, uh, alencon or the embroidered. I’m not sure. We’ll have to decide today though. All right. Good. Thank you.
[ Eric coughing ]
Donna: I heard you from the other room. Are you okay?
Eric: [ Raspy ] Yeah, yeah. Yes, I’m fine.
Rj: I don’t care what li says. You’re not leaving forrester. Hey, luna. Just the person I wanted to see.
Luna: Oh, yeah? You got an assignment?
Rj: No, maybe it just puts me in a good mood to see you.
Luna: That’s so sweet.
Rj: Hey, it’s just the truth.
Luna: Can I see?
Rj: Yeah. What do you think?
Luna: It’s so beautiful.
Rj: You think?
Luna: I mean, you’re so talented. And so kind and thoughtful. I wanted to thank you again for helping me stand up to my aunt li.
Li: Obviously, we will continually monitor him, but I say another 48 hours, he’ll be out of icu. Another 24-36 before pt’s in there to get him up and moving. He was lucky.
Finn: Lucky you were on call. Saved his life.
Li: One minute, I’m fighting with the vending machine–
Finn: Oh, the one outside ortho?
Li: Yeah.
Finn: Ugh.
Li: The next, I’m being called into surgery.
Finn: No, it’s a good thing because that vending machine didn’t stand a chance.
Li: What about you? Any new updates? Maybe on the personal side? Any progress with steffy?
Finn: Afraid not, but I’m determined to get steffy and the kids home as soon as possible.
Li: Make it happen. Your family needs you.
Finn: Speaking of, uh, family… I saw luna the other day.
Li: I heard.
Finn: Why are you insisting she leaves forrester creations?
[ Li sighing ]
Finn: Okay, nice try. That– that didn’t even vibrate.
Li: Just checking my next appointment.
Finn: Mom, come on. What’s up?
Li: Nothing. Maureen just shifted my schedule.
Finn: No. Why are you making luna quit her internship?
Rj: Hey, you don’t need to thank me, all right? You’re the one who stood up to your aunt. I just put you two in the same room. Come on. It wasn’t right the way she was treating you, yes?
Luna: Yeah, but the way you defended me.
Rj: She has no right to tell you whether you can or cannot work at forrester, all right? We all love having you here. Especially me. Yeah?
Luna: Mm-hmm.
Brooke: How could you possibly narrow this down for the challenge?
Ridge: Well, that’s a good problem to have, right?
Charlie: Hey, boss. I just got word there is another shipment of bling on its way. My team is prepped and anxious, as is charlie. And this whole challenge has really got charlie’s heart a-thumping.
Ridge: Well, you tell charlie from me that that is exactly why we’re doing this.
Charlie: There you go. Oh, good one. You got me. But, I mean, this is exciting. Father versus son, sensei versus seito. Peanut butter versus banana.
Ridge: Can I be the banana, please?
Charlie: You sure? I mean, you could– you could have peanut butter. Bottom line– bottom line is it’s eric versus ridge.
Donna: Are you sure you’re okay? I mean, you– you’ve been coughing more and more these days.
Eric: Look, I’m– I’m– oh, here, here–
Donna: I got it, I got it.
[ Donna gasping ] Eric…
can we get real clear
about life with psoriasis?
Li: Let’s up her to five milligrams of prednisone. That should help. Four days and taper. Yes. What? You would have done something different?
Finn: No, no. You just never answered me.
Li: About your cousin? What’s the big deal? Luna came into town, she’s headed out.
Finn: Sounds like you’re driving her out, and the more you keep avoiding my questions, the more I wonder why. What is going on between you and luna?
Rj: Okay. It looks like granddad is finally zeroing in on a lace.
Luna: Okay. I’ll, uh, I’ll let the cutting room know what we’re not going with so far.
Rj: Thanks, princess.
Luna: The challenge is coming up. You think eric will be ready?
Rj: Oh, yeah. No doubt. Me on the other hand.
Luna: Oh, come on. What are you talking about? You’re killing it.
Rj: Hey, well, with you by my side helping me out, I feel a lot better.
Luna: I know what you mean.
Rj: You know, we were talking earlier about your aunt and you know, I just– I’ve been meaning to tell you this. I just want you to know, I completely believe in you, 100%, that you can handle all of this. I just want you to know whatever, whenever, I’m here for you.
Ridge: Can charlie let me know when the shipment comes in, please?
Charlie: You will be the first to know.
Ridge: That’s good. That’s good.
Charlie: Now, what I– I want to know is will this fashion challenge be happening at high noon? I mean, I– I’m getting a vibe here like it’s the showdown at the ok corral.
Brooke: I think you’re mixing up your westerns.
Charlie: Yeah– yeah, but you know, it’s– it’s the good, the bad and the ugly. You can have ugly, if you want.
Ridge: That’s generous, right? Charlie, here’s the thing. There’s not gonna be a shootout. It’s all about gamesmanship. But, this may be my dad’s last stand.
Eric: Donna, let’s– let’s not make more out of it than it really is.
Donna: You just coughed up blood.
Eric: Yeah.
Donna: Wait. Something tells me this isn’t the first time, is it? You’ve been hiding this from me? Wait. What– what did we just say about keeping secrets? How can I help you–
Eric: Donna, I just didn’t want you to worry anymore than you already have been.
[ Donna sighing ]
Donna: Eric.
Eric: I’ll be okay. It’s all right. It’s all right. Don’t worry. Don’T. Still having bladder leaks?
Finn: I don’t understand. I mean, luna seems so nice and sweet. I remember when she was little, and then, she and aunt poppy–
Li: Penelope.
Finn: Yeah. They just disappeared from our lives. Luna says you’re the reason why, mother. So, I’m going to ask you again: What is going on?
Luna: Yeah, if I’m being honest, my aunt li’s been hard on my mom and me for… for as long as I could remember and that’s the reason I didn’t want her knowing that I was working here. You’ve changed that. I mean, you’re such a great guy, rj. The way you care about me and support me is just…
Rj: Hey. You have been supporting me with my granddad and his whole situation and the weight of that, okay? All I’m doing is just returning the favor, all right? Come here.
Brooke: Katie said you’re working on the vip guest list?
Charlie: Oh, yeah. Just, you know, standard operating procedure these days. Just have to make sure everything’s all set for the showdown at the ok corral.
Ridge: You’ve really gotta stop calling it that.
Charlie: Oh, sure thing, sheriff– I mean, mr. Earp– I mean– I mean, mr. Forrester.
Ridge: We don’t want anyone fanning the flames. This is just a fashion showdown with my father.
Donna: How long has this been going on? Please talk to me, eric. Tell me.
Eric: No, no, I’m sorry. You’re right. It’s not the first time. It’s been going on for a while.
[ Eric sighing ] What– what are you doing?
Donna: I am calling your doctor. Something tells me that he doesn’t know either. Hi, yes. Um, this– yeah, yeah, I’ll hold.
Eric: Now, donna, you can– you can call the doctor, you can do all you want. I mean, they can do all the testing they want, it’s not gonna change anything. I’m gonna live while I’m alive, all right, donna? I’m determined to do my– my grand finale. Who says you can’t go for bold
Finn: Mom, come on, can you not just–
Li: What is your fascination with this? You should be focused on your family.
Finn: Luna is family.
Li: Fine. You want to know what I have against luna and her mother, my little sister? Luna’s mother turned my life upside down years ago. I will never forgive her for that.
Rj: You know, you came to forrester just at the right time. Seriously, I was– I was doing everything I could to try and help him. It’s just… it’s overwhelming.
Luna: I know how much you care about your grandfather. You don’t want to see him lose the fashion challenge to your dad.
Rj: And we both know that his health isn’t doing great. I just– I don’t think my dad realizes just how much this fashion challenge means to him.
Brooke: I know you’re in a very difficult position. You love and respect your father, but you’re determined to beat him on the runway.
Ridge: Well, he’s making me do this. I mean, you see his designs. You know, the– the time and the effort that– there’s no stopping this runaway train.
Donna: Hey. I brought you a few things.
Eric: Oh, here, here.
Donna: No, no. You need to rest.
Eric: Yeah, yeah.
Donna: Tea and honey and water, and oh, look at this yummy green juice full of antioxidants and every vitamin and mineral that you could possibly think of. Yeah?
Eric: And this is for what? For what?
Donna: It’s– it’s healthy. I want you to be healthy.
Eric: Donna, I’m fine. Really, I’m fine.
Donna: Okay, clearly, you’re not fine, eric, okay? Here’s one of your pills. You don’t have to take it for about ten minutes, but there you go. I’ll open it for you.
Eric: Thank you. Look… I hate that you called the doctor. You didn’t have to call the doctor.
Donna: Eric, I had to call the doctor. I mean, he’s gonna be–
[ Knocking on door ]
Eric: Here, here.
Donna: No, please just– just rest. Let me take care of you for once, okay? Please. Dr. Colby, thank you. Please come in. Thank you for, um, coming so quickly like that.
Colby: Of course. Eric.
Eric: Hello, doctor.
Colby: Tell me what’s going on. How are you feeling, eric?
Eric: I feel like you’re wasting your time.
Colby: Well, donna says that you’re coughing up blood. You’re only wasting time if you’re not honest with us, yourself. How long has this been going on?
Eric: Ah… couple of weeks.
Donna: What– what– what does this mean, doctor? I mean, why– why do we not have a diagnosis yet? I mean, clearly, his condition is getting worse and we need to know, doctor. We need– we need the truth.
Colby: Donna, I…
Donna: Is eric… is he dying?
