THIS STILL NEEDS SOME EDITING!
Kristina: I have never seen a little girl so wholeheartedly embrace her duties to keep the groom away from the bride on the wedding day. Donna was so determined. Did you see her face?
Nina: She was so cute. She — she was perfect. I mean, the whole day. The whole day was perfect. I’m just — I’m just sorry that Michael, Willow, and Wiley had to leave so suddenly after the ceremony because Michael had business back in Port Charles.
Yeah. That’s Michael. He’s always working on something.
Right?
Mommy and Daddy missed you so much, Amelia.
Wiley: You missed the wedding because you’re still a baby, but it was fun. Now Grandma Nina is our grandma twice.
What do you mean?
Well, she was already our grandma before the wedding. Now she’s our grandma again because she married Grandpa.
Carly: Ohh! Oh! This is such a nice surprise.
Sam: I know. Hi, Carly.
Carly: Hi. So, are you gonna meet Dante here for dinner?
Sam: No, he’s at — he’s at work. How’s Drew doing?
Carly: He’s out of ICU, so, you know, he’s doing better.
Sam: That’s good. He doesn’t want Scout to visit him at the hospital, but she misses him.
Carly: Yeah, he really wants to see her, too, but not like this.
Sam: I know. It was bad.
Carly: Why don’t you take a seat? I’ll get you a menu.
Sam: You know what? I’m not here for food. I’m actually here for you.
Carly: For me?
Sam: Yes. Surprise, surprise. Yeah. I haven’t seen you much in the past couple of weeks, and I just wanted to see how you were doing. Carly, I know what’s going on.
Carly: What do you mean?
Sam: Dante told me that Sonny and Nina eloped in Puerto Rico.
Carly: Oh, that. [ Exhales sharply ]
Sam: Yeah. That. Come on, Carly. This can’t be easy on you. How are you doing? Are you okay?
Carly: No. I’m not.
Lucy: It will give you a whole new level of exposure. With the relaunch of the Deceptor and a new line of our anti-aging gels… of course not for you. Your skin is flawless.
Maxie: Oh, it’s — it’s absolutely perfect. Just gorgeous. But we also have this new lip liner that is so lush. It has vitamin c in it. And you — you could actually name the colors. Oh! And I forgot — in development, we have this wonderful mascara, waterproof, but, really, you can actually swim in it. It’s a very exciting time at Deception.
Blaze: And all products are cruelty-free?
Lucy: Oh, of course. Cruelty-free. Of course. I love animals. I had a duck.
Blaze: Really?
Lucy: Sigmund. Anyway, uh, what do you think?
Blaze: Uh, I have to say, I’m flattered, even if I’m a bit surprised.
Lucy: So…is that a yes? I mean, of course, don’t want to toot my own horn, but… oh.
Maxie: Watch out, Blaze. Here comes some tooting.
Lucy: Okay! All I’m saying is that… my instincts are never, ever wrong. And my instincts are yelling at the top of their lungs to say you, Blaze, are a perfect fit to be the new Face of Deception.
Sasha: Yes, I understand. I’ll be ready. Yes. Thank you.
[ Knock on door ]
Cody: Hi, Sasha. What’s, uh, with all the boxes? You planning on leaving Port Charles?
Sasha: Yes.
Cody: I don’t understand. You just got your life back and you’re gonna walk away from it?
Blaze: Deception generated a lot of negative publicity. I’m concerned about attaching myself to that legacy.
Sasha does have a troubled past, but there were some extenuating circumstances.
Blaze: Of course. I’m sorry for what she went through.
Yes, of course. Um, so are we. But, you know, just because we are looking for the new Face of Deception doesn’t reflect on Sasha at all. You know, come to think of it, any classic cosmetic companies, a lot of them change spokesmodels often.
True. Look at Fusion. They change theirs more than RuPaul changes wigs.
[ Chuckles ] Okay. So it’s time for Deception to go in a new direction.
Right. And we really do think you are the perfect fit. I mean, because you already are a known brand through your music. Yeah, you’d be working with a successful company in the cosmetics industry, and we would get access to your celebrity and your millions of fans who love your music.
[ Chuckles ] So…what do you say?
Blaze: Thank you, both of you. You’ve given me a lot to think about.
Ah. Well, you know, I don’t mean to be pushy at all, but we do need to know by the end of the week.
Blaze: Not a problem. I’ll have my manager contact you by the end of the week. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a plane to catch.
Lucy: Okay. I think that went well.
Maxie: But don’t you think we’re kind of putting the cart before the horse here?
Lucy: How so?
Maxie: Don’t you think we should have given Sasha some warning before we offered her job to somebody else?
Sasha: Cody, please come in. I’m really glad you stopped by.
Cody: Really? Because it sure looks like you were planning on leaving town without saying goodbye to me.
Sasha: I’m sorry. I, um, got caught up in packing once I decided to go.
Cody: But why are you leaving?
Sasha: Because everywhere I turn in this town reminds me of a mistake that I made or a person who I let take advantage of me. It’s too painful for me to live in Port Charles. I worry that if I stay here, I might get dragged back down again. I feel like I — I need to start over someplace new.
Cody: Where are you going?
Sasha: Austin.
Cody: Austin, Texas? No people there? Friends or family?
Sasha: No. I will meet people. I’ll make friends.
Cody: Make friends like — friends like Nina, Maxie? And Michael and Willow? Friends like me?
Sam: Okay. I’m sorry. I probably shouldn’t have brought up Sonny’s wedding. I’m sure it’s, like, a rough — rough subject for you.
Carly: I’m okay. And I’m not okay. I mean, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t moved past Sonny. Because I have. You know, I’m with Drew. And he makes me so happy. And my life is good, and it’s only gonna get better when Drew is out of prison. But I can’t say that Sonny marrying Nina doesn’t… it stinks.
Sasha: I don’t think I’ll ever meet anyone like you ever again.
Cody: Yeah. Of course not. [ Chuckles ] So why are you leaving town?
Sasha: Because I’m lost. Ever since I came to Port Charles, it’s been one mistake after another, starting with working with Valentin to convince Nina that I was her long-lost daughter. And then I got involved with Cyrus Renault, who got me hooked on drugs. Finally, I trusted Gladys, who took advantage of me when I was at my most vulnerable. Honestly, Cody, I don’t know why I keep making these epic mistakes. I’m putting my trust in all the wrong people.
Cody: I think I might know.
Lucy: Come on. Sasha did not deserve any of those bad things that happened to her. We know that. And even if we replace her as the Face of Deception, she’s still gonna be a shareholder. She’s still a partner in the company. It’s just that, for the good of Deception, we need a fresh face, really, one that the customers don’t associate with all those… public meltdowns. And I think Blaze is perfect to take us in that completely different direction. And, ultimately, that is gonna benefit Sasha, too.
Maxie: Lucy, from a business perspective, I totally get where you’re coming from. I just wish there was another way!
Lucy:I know!
Scott: Another way to what?
Hello there.
Hey.
Martin: Hey. Well, what’s with the long faces? Come on, ladies. What’s going on?
Deception business.
[ Cellphone dings ]
Maxie: [ Sighs ] I got an S.O.S. From my mom. And she’s watching my kids. So I’ll call her. I’ll be right back.
Okay.
What is all that about?
Lucy: Sometimes the beauty business is anything but glamorous.
Kristina: Dad, I know it was your idea to elope, but what was it? What wedding-planning moment pushed you over the edge? Was it the thought of a huge, 100-plus-person wedding or was it just that you didn’t want to wait a year to be husband and wife?
Sonny: I always wanted Nina to have the wedding she wanted to have, whatever made her happy. Then I started thinking, why do we have to have a special event? Why can’t we just go to my island, right? Because I love my island. Always loved my island. Got a staff there. They’ll take care of everything.
Kristina: And you? How hard did my father have to persuade you to give up the wedding you were planning — all the guests and everything — and elope?
Nina: Oh, I caved in less than a minute.
[ Laughter ]
Michael: Didn’t expect Amelia to fall asleep so fast. I thought she’d want to stay up with us since we’ve been gone.
Willow: Yeah.
Michael: And Wiley. He’s so content playing in his room. He loves that toy jet.
Willow: I can’t believe he’s already asking to fly back to Grandma and Grandpa’s island tomorrow.
Michael: Yeah. We’ll see what happens after I finish my business.
Willow: And, of course, I’m happy to be home and be back with Amelia, but I am sorry we had to leave Puerto Rico early. It’s just so peaceful and beautiful there. And I am disappointed we didn’t get to take Wiley to the ocean. I think he would have loved walking on the beach.
Michael: Yeah. I promise you we’ll — we’ll go back soon again, okay?
Willow: Well, maybe we can coordinate with Sonny and Nina and make it another family trip.
Kristina: Our dad first pitched the idea of eloping, it took me a second, but then I thought, why not? You know? It seems very intimate. And I said yes.
Nina: And then I saw you and Michael and Willow and Wiley and donna. And I was blindsided, but in the best possible way.
Kristina: Ohh. This was an awesome surprise. Gotta hand it to you, Dad. I mean, not just having me show up, obviously, but getting Carly’s permission to have donna there. And Michael and Willow and Wiley? Some epic powers of persuasion, Pops.
Sonny: I do what I can.
Kristina: You know, you never gave up on Michael, no matter how long he gave you the cold shoulder.
Sonny: Well, Michael, you know, had a lot of anger, but he let go of it and h-he left the decision up to Willow whether he was gonna come to the wedding.
Nina: And my daughter chose to come to our wedding, which is a turning point for Willow and me. And I owe it all to you.
Michael: I promise you, Willow. I will bring you and the kids back to the island. And if Sonny and Nina want to join us, then that’s great. I really want to show you and Wiley around the island. I think Amelia’s still a little too young to really appreciate it yet.
Willow: Well, it’ll still be nice to have her there with us. I love it when the family’s all together.
Michael: Yeah. Me too. I remember going there so frequently as a kid. I mean, those are some of the happiest times we had as a family when I was growing up.
Willow: And now you want to pass on that tradition to your own children.
Michael: I do. [ Sighs ] Okay. Wish I could stay, but I really got to get to this meeting.
Willow: Yeah, I would hope you do. Otherwise, Wiley and I could be on a beach in Puerto Rico.
Michael: Yeah. I know.
Willow: You never did say who you needed to meet with.
Michael: Uh, just some new information fell into my lap, and I just have to confirm it before I can take the next step. That’s all.
Willow: Sounds important.
Michael: Well, if it’s what I think it is, then, um, yeah, it could be a real game-changer.
Lucy: I just really feel that it’s important for Deception to go now in a different direction. Especially since the horrible lawsuit has been settled, it’s time for a fresh start.
Martin: Uh, about that, Lucy. I can’t tell you how sorry I am. I mean, I — I know how much it pained you to give up 51% of your company, especially to a person like Tracy Quartermaine.
Okay, let’s not go with that negative aspect.
Lucy: Ugh! I can’t help it. It’s a horrible, awful, bitter pill to swallow, though. And I know I need to move on, but I just — I can’t. I’m having a really hard time with this. I don’t know how. It’s just I know that I will never, ever, ever forgive or forget Tracy. I have to have faith in karma, though, don’t I, that one day Tracy will get exactly what she deserves. And if I have a chance to push that happening right away through karma, that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m just gonna get karma to move her on along.
Well, in the meantime, what do you say you and I move to my hotel suite where we can engage in a little bit of R&R? You know, room service and relaxation.
Lucy: Okay.
[ Cellphone rings ]
Martin: Perfect timing.
Lucy: Do you have — do you have to get that?
Martin: Yeah. Uh, forgive me. Just a sec. Martin Grey.
Michael: Martin, it’s Michael Corinthos. I need to see you in my office at Aurora right away.
Martin: Really? Well, it just so happens I’m in the middle of something.
Michael: Well, it’s in your best interest. I recently discovered that you made a serious mistake, and I’m gonna give you exactly one chance to make things right.
Carly: It’s now or never. Thank you so much for checking on me. I really appreciate it.
Sam: But you have so much on your plate.
Carly: No. I heard what happened with Sasha. I can’t believe what Gladys did to her! I never trusted that woman, ever!
Sam: Yeah, well, Sasha is doing as well as can be expected.
Carly: Well, she’s been through hell. And I’ve been in Ferncliff. It’s your worst nightmare.
Sam: No. I-I know. And the thought of Gladys taking advantage of Sasha’s guardianship is disgusting.
Carly: Yeah. I’m glad Sonny ran her out of town.
Sam: She’s lucky that’s all Sonny did to her. And I’m sure he made it very clear that she can never step foot in Port Charles again, let alone ever try to come near Sasha. She better not. I mean, there’s no reason for Gladys Corbin to ever come back to Port Charles. Sasha is finally free of Gladys. Thank God.
Cody: Sasha, I really think you’re being too hard on yourself. Look. You’re human. Humans make mistakes. Hundreds, if not, I mean, thousands a year. If we didn’t… I mean, yeah, life would be perfect. It’d also be completely boring. Trust me. I know what I’m talking about. I’m pretty much the king of messing up. I have made monumental, ginormous mistakes that were selfish… and…stupid. And that’s just since I parachuted into town. Trust me, if there’s a mistake to be made, I made it, ’cause I made them all.
Sasha: Name one.
Cody: One? Okay. Um, not going after Gladys sooner.
Sasha: That does not count. You were protecting me.
Cody: Okay. Alright. How about me working for Selina Wu? Not exactly a smart decision, is it?
Sasha: You tried to make some extra money. Yeah, it’s not the best person to get involved with, but, still, you — you were trying to do a job.
Cody: Wow. You are just determined to see the best in me, aren’t you?
Sasha: That’s because I owe a lot to you, Cody. And I really wish that you would see yourself the way that I do. Honestly, so far, you haven’t mentioned any mistakes that are really all that bad.
Cody: Okay, then. Here’s a doozy. How about the fact that my biological dad is actually here in Port Charles… and I lied to him and convinced him that I’m not actually his son?
Sasha: Cody, I don’t understand. If your dad lives here in town, why would you lie about it?
Cody: [ Chuckles ] I don’t know. ‘Cause I’m an idiot?
Sasha: Don’t say that.
Cody: Well, I-I don’t know how else to describe my decision. When the — the DNA results came back at G.H., I lied right to his face while I was holding in my hands the test results that said that Mac Scorpio is my biological father.
Sasha: The police commissioner Mac Scorpio?
Cody: That’s the one.
Sasha: Maxie’s stepfather?
Cody: Same guy.
Sasha: How?
Cody: It’s a — it’s a long story, but, essentially, Mac never knew that my mother was pregnant with me.
Sasha: Okay. But why not tell him now?
Cody: Leopold Taub. My mother’s late husband. I thought that if I could prove that I was his son, I could possibly get a lot of money. It’s not important now, but it had something to do with the WSB destroying the Ice Princess necklace, which belonged to Taub.
Sasha: So that’s it? You lied about Mac not being your dad because of money?
Cody: Well, no, that’s — that’s not the only reason.
Sasha: Then why? I mean, I don’t know Mac all that well, but… but all Maxie ever does is talk about what a great guy he is and how he’s always been a father figure to her, even though he’s not her biological dad.
Cody: Yeah. I-I know. And, see, that’s — that’s the thing, Sasha. In what world does a grifter like me deserve having a great dad? I mean, Mac — he’s honest. He’s loyal. He’s hardworking. He’s selfless. Not to mention he’s a cop. Why would he want a troublemaker like me as his son? The reality is…. I don’t deserve to have him as a father.
Maxie: Where’s Martin?
Lucy: Oh, uh, well, you know my Marty. He always has a full plate. And he got an important business call and had to dash.
Maxie: Well, speaking of important business, let’s get back to the Face of Deception.
Lucy: Okay, but I thought that it was all settled. I mean, if Blaze gives us the thumbs-up, then we do replace Sasha, but she still retains all her shares, which is a win-win for everybody.
Maxie: Maybe not.
Lucy: Uh… and what’s the problem?
Maxie: Did you forget about Tracy?
Lucy: Ooh, if only I could.
Maxie: Lucy, whether we like it or not, Tracy owns the majority of Deception. This is kind of a big business decision, so I think we need to run it by her.
Lucy: I am not going to bow to that woman. She is certainly not the boss of me. I mean, come on. She may have 51% of our company and 1% of my precious ELQ… but that doesn’t mean that I have to ask her permission to make a sound business decision. I don’t. Because we need to take Deception into a new direction, starting with a fresh, new face.
Maxie: You’re kind of acting like this is a done deal, and Blaze has not signed a contract yet.
Lucy: She said she wants to think about it. So, I really do have a good feeling about this.
Maxie: You know who’s not gonna have a good feeling about this? Sasha. I think we should tell her. She’s not only our business partner, but she’s our friend. Telling her is the right thing to do.
Blaze: Fancy meeting you here.
Kristina: Blaze? What in the world are you doing here?
Willow: Here you go, honey.
Wiley: Why didn’t Grandpa and Grandma fly home with us?
Willow: Well, we had to come back early because your daddy had a work emergency. But Grandma Nina and Grandpa Sonny stayed behind because they’re now on their honeymoon.
Wiley: What’s that?
Willow: It’s a vacation you take after you get married.
Wiley: I don’t get it. Why do you need a vacation after you get married? Does it make you that tired?
Nina: It’s beautiful here. I can see why you love it so much. It’s a perfect place to have a wedding and to spend our honeymoon.
Sonny: Yeah, I love it here. I mean, I… it’s always been like… my home away from home.
Nina: Well, thank you for sharing it with me.
Sonny: I mean, you’re my wife now. We’re gonna share everything. The good, the bad, the happy, the sad. We’re gonna share it all.
Martin: I do not enjoy being summoned… and I like being threatened even less, so unless you know something I don’t, I have no business here with you or Aurora.
Michael: Well, thank you for coming, Martin, and I can assure you, I didn’t imply any threat. I was just telling you the truth.
Martin: About what?
Michael: That you made a terrible mistake when you turned my mother and Drew Cain in to the SEC for insider trading.
Sasha: I can’t believe that you would say something like that. Listen to me. Any man would be so proud to call you their son, including Mac Scorpio.
Cody: I — [ Scoffs ]
Sasha: Look at what you did for me. And that was after I stabbed you.
Cody: Sasha, there were extenuating circumstances. You didn’t think you were stabbing me. You thought you were stabbing Cyrus Renault. And that’s just because Gladys and that unethical Dr. Montague were drugging you.
Sasha: It doesn’t matter. You sacrificed your freedom to help me. You weren’t afraid to go after Dr. Montague. What you did was so incredibly brave.
Cody: No. No, Sasha, you — you were the brave one. You went back into that hellhole where they were drugging you against your will. He was basically torturing you. And you did all that just to stop Montague.
Sasha: You call it brave. I call it desperate. Putting Montague behind bars and freeing myself from Gladys were just things that I needed to do in order to get my life back if I was ever gonna have one. Now that I do… I need to start from scratch.
Cody: Someplace else?
Sonny: Yes. I was gonna ask you about this turquoise bracelet. Is there some significance? ‘Cause I have never seen you wear that.
Nina: Ah.
Willow: This covers the old and the blue. I hope you like it.
Nina: It’s beautiful. And that it came from my — you.
Willow: So, it belonged to my m– it belonged to harmony. She gave it to me on my 16th birthday. And according to her, turquoise is supposed to bring peace, luck, and protection.
Nina: I love this. I love it. I will love it for the rest of my life.
Nina: You’re right. You haven’t seen it. Because it’s brand-new, and it’s incredibly significant, Sonny, because… it was a gift from my daughter.
Martin: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Michael: Is that so?
Martin: And even if I did, this isn’t a courtroom, and you’re certainly not a judge, so if you’ll forgive me, I am under zero obligation to answer your allegation.
Michael: You don’t need to tap-dance around the issue here, Martin. I already know you’re the one who contacted the SEC and suggested that they investigate Drew and my mom for insider trading.
Martin: Regardless of whoever made the phone call, the simple fact is Mr. Cain was found guilty. Now, as to why he chose to be the fall guy for your mother, I have no idea. I mean, let’s be honest. She was the real guilty party. If anything, she’s the one who should be in prison.
Michael: My mom made a mistake. She was just trying to help me and Drew. But, you see, the merger between ELQ and Aurora, it never happened. My mom didn’t make any money. Hell, she lost her half of The Metro Court. See, now, most cases similar to my mom’s, the SEC would have just walked away. But this… see, there was someone working behind this case, pushing them to go forward. See, Martin, I know it wasn’t your idea to contact the sec. You were just working on your client’s behalf. Now, your client used you to inflict maximum damage on my family — to my mother, Drew’s daughter, my siblings, my uncle. Your actions caused a lot of pain, a lot of devastation for a lot of people. That’s why I called you here, Martin. Because I want to give you a chance. I’m giving you a chance… to save yourself. I’m giving you a chance to make amends.
Willow: And for dessert, chocolate pudding. One of your favorites.
Wiley: Thanks, mommy. [ Chuckles ] Grandpa Sonny and Grandma Nina should have had chocolate pudding at the wedding.
Willow: I’m so glad you had such a good time at the wedding.
Wiley: It was really fun. I love Grandpa Sonny and Grandma Nina so much.
Willow: I’m happy to hear that.
Wiley: You love them, too, right, Mommy?
Willow: I love our whole family.
Kristina: You are here, right? I only had two glasses of champagne — three now — at my dad’s wedding, so I know I’m not hallucinating.
Blaze: It’s me.
Kristina: Well, how are you even in Puerto Rico? When we were texting earlier, all you said was we should hang out when I get back to Port Charles. Turns out we didn’t have to wait that long to see each other again.
[ Chuckles ]
Carly: Hey.
Sam: Yeah.
Carly: Sam, when you see Sasha, will you just give her my best, please, and tell her if she needs anything, I’m here for her?
Sam: Yeah, I’m — I’m actually gonna get out of your — your hair. I just — I wanted to check in on my friend.
Carly: I’m glad you did. And look. I want you to know that even though Sonny marrying Nina stings, I love Drew. I adore him. And I’m devoted to him. And I’m never gonna forget the sacrifice he made for me. And it’s really important to me that you believe that.
Sam: I do. I do. And I know.
Carly: Okay. See ya.
Cody: Okay. Well… when are you leaving?
Sasha: The movers will be here tomorrow morning.
Cody: Wow. Um, look, Sasha, I — I totally understand you wanting to get a fresh start, but this — does it really have to be away from Port Charles? I mean, are you absolutely sure about that?
[ Knock on door ]
Maxie: Hi! What’s up with the boxes?
Cody: Sasha’s leaving town.
Maxie: You’re leaving Port Charles?
Sasha: I’m moving to Austin.
Maxie: What’s in Texas?
Cody: Nothing. And no one. That’s the point.
Sasha: I need a fresh start. Someplace that doesn’t hold painful memories. Every time I go to G.H., all I think about is losing my sweet Liam. And whenever I go to Charlie’s pub, I-I force a smile and I pretend to be happy. I might look happy, but… I can’t erase the images from my head. Brando laying on the ground and the — the rain washing away the blood from his chest. I mean, I can still hear myself screaming.
Maxie: My heart aches for you, Sasha, because I know exactly how you feel. When Nathan died, I wanted to run away. I wanted to be anywhere but here. And then I realized what is here. My friends and family who love me.
Sasha: Maxie, please. Don’t try to talk me out of it. I’ve made up my mind.
Maxie: I’m not trying to convince you to stay. I just want you to know that I understand the impulse to leave. You have to do what’s best for you.
Sasha: [ Sighs ] Honestly, Maxie, I don’t know what’s best for me. These past couple of months, I feel like I have been just living outside of myself, looking down, seeing this broken person locked in a room, curled up in a ball, unable to function because of the drugs that monster Montague forced on me.
Maxie: Maybe you were trying to detach yourself from the horrors of that place.
Sasha: Yeah. Maybe. But now I can see clearly again, and all I know is that I — I have to get away.
Maxie: Okay. Of course. I will support your decision, whatever that is. I do want you to know that Deception will not be the same without you.
Sasha: Look, I really hope that this does not make things difficult for you and Lucy. I am so sorry that — the last thing I want to do is —
Maxie: No, no. You have nothing to be sorry about.
Sasha: Thank you, Maxie. I’m so glad that you stopped by. Why did you stop by?
Maxie: I just missed my friend.
Kristina: Wait. But you didn’t come here just to see me, right?
Blaze: No.
Kristina: Okay.
Blaze: [ Laughs ] My abuela lives in Puerto Rico. That’s why I’m here. She hates to fly, so I visit her a lot. We’re really close.
Kristina: Aww. That’s sweet.
Blaze: Yeah. She’s great. She actually used to work at the hotel.
Kristina: Really?
Blaze: Yeah. Your dad owns the property, right?
Kristina: Yeah.
Blaze: I’m staying there.
Kristina: This is crazy. What a small world. But wait. How did you wind up here in the chapel?
Blaze: I decided to light a candle for my abuela and say a prayer. And then I walk in, and there you are.
Kristina: Here I am.
[ Both laugh ]
Blaze: It must be fate.
Kristina: It could be.
Nina: Look! A shooting star!
Sonny: Well, you know what you’re supposed to do when you see a shooting star, right?
Nina: Hmm?
Sonny: You’re supposed to make a wish.
Nina: Well, how am I supposed to make a wish when you have given me everything that I have ever wanted? I’m your wife now. You’re my husband. I love you so much.
Sonny: I love you, too. And you have changed my life in ways that I’m just beginning to understand.
Nina: Happy wedding day, Mr. Corinthos.
Sonny: Happy wedding day, Mrs. Corinthos.
Willow: Congratulations.
Nina: Thank you, Willow. You know, it means so much that you are here.
Martin: If I was acting on behalf of a client — and that is a big if — my actions would be covered by attorney-client privilege, which means I couldn’t possibly discuss it.
Michael: Hey. Look. Of course. I get that. I understand. I mean, what kind of attorney would you be if you broke that trust?
Martin: Good. I’m glad we understand each other.
Michael: Of course, though, I would have to then refer this issue to Sonny, and he’d handle it, you know, his way.
Martin: I s-see no reason to involve Mr. Corinthos. I mean, even if he came to me with the same question, the same privilege would still exist.
Michael: You see, that’s where you and I disagree. Because your client’s actions harmed Sonny’s family. Your client lied to him and continues to lie to him. Now, I think that Sonny needs to know that, don’t you? You see, Sonny — he doesn’t know that you’re involved. It can remain that way, provided you tell me the name of the person who’s actually responsible.
Martin: If I do that, it could ruin my reputation as a lawyer.
Michael: Martin, I already know that she’s the one. I just need you to confirm it. That or, you know, you can tell Sonny in probably much less comfortable circumstances.
Martin: Nina Reeves. I called the SEC at Nina Reeves’ direction and I suggested they investigate Drew Cain and Carly Spencer for insider trading.
Michael: Thank you, Martin. You can go now.
Martin: What are you gonna do?
Michael: I appreciate you meeting with me.
[ Door closes ]
Martin: Nina Reeves. I called the SEC at Nina Reeves’ direction and I suggested they investigate Drew Cain and Carly Spencer for insider trading.
