THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

Oh, man! That waitress was a piece of work! Am I wrong? Are you kidding me? Sorry, fellas. The kitchen’s backed up. You’re gonna have to wait in line like everybody else. At this rate, all the guests are gonna be gone by the time we get back. Oh, it might not be such a bad thing. True. I can’t believe the service actually went off without a hitch.

Everyone was civil to each other. I don’t know how much longer that’s gonna last. True. You know, speaking of civility or lack thereof, I can’t believe Teresa actually came to town to pay her respects to Victor. It just kills me. Is it really that terrible that she did?

Alex, it’s definitely time that we all chat about Teresa. Teresa,

come on. You want to jump back into a relationship with me just like that? Have you forgotten how toxic we were at times? Have you forgotten how much we hurt each other? Yeah, yeah, but the good times outweighed the bad, right? I mean, come on, Brady, don’t you remember that makeshift wedding we had in our bedroom?

Yeah. It wasn’t official, but it was the most romantic night of my entire life. Theresa, I’m gonna, I’m gonna be very clear with you. I don’t want to go back down that road with you. Not now, not ever, okay? Brady… Theresa, you should go.

Please go.

Theresa? Oh my God, Stephanie! I thought that was you, but I didn’t know you were back. Yeah, I just got back in town yesterday. I’m so glad to see you. You’re about the only person in town who is. Well, that’s not true. Hey, baby. Oh, hi, Caleb. Theresa Donovan. How long has it been? Oh, it’s been too long. You look amazing as ever.

Well, as do you. What brings you to Salem? I’m here for Victor’s funeral, actually. Really? Well, I’m sorry, it’s just that you and Victor have always been, I don’t know, hated each other? Yeah. Maybe, but, you know what, no matter what he thought about me, he always loved Tate. So he never stopped itching that we named his great grandson after a root vegetable.

Could you bring him? I bet he’s getting so big. Oh, he’s so big, but no, he had class, so I’m here to represent him. Well, Brady must have been really appreciative of you being there. Uh, no. No, actually, he treated me like dirt and accused me of crushing the somber occasion for my own selfish purposes to, um, to get closer to him.

Was he right?

Maybe. But it doesn’t matter because he made it abundantly clear that he wants absolutely nothing to do with me whatsoever. Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. But, just so you know, I saw Kate inside and, um, you are not the most villainized funeral crasher of the day. Oh, no? Nope. The Honor goes to Vivian Aime.

Is this some kind of joke? No, it’s no joke. My divorce from Victor was never finalized. Of course it was. Or he couldn’t have legally married Maggie in the first place. . Well, you just proved my points. And where’s your proof? I don’t have a divorce certificate. Oh, because you tore it up. No, I did not. I never got it.

Word of honor. Oh, I didn’t know it was your word of honor. Maggie, you need to give Vivian Victor’s entire estate because we have her word of honor. Oh, you think you’re being very funny, but the fact is she does, she has no choice. Oh, you’re wrong about that, Vivian. I’m gonna fight you with everything I’ve got.

And when I beat you and humiliate you, I will make you pay. For desecrating Victor’s funeral. And that is my word of honor. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Thank you for making me a baby again. Hey, Sarah? You cold? You’re shivering. I’ll go get another blanket. Can I help? Is it okay? Can I take her for a second?

So, the baby is, the baby is not mine.

You and I slept together the night before Valentine’s Day, and… According to the tests, I am further along than that. So the timing doesn’t work.

I guess I just, I just assumed that…

I’m such an idiot. I’m just prattling on and on. No, no, no, no, no, no. You are not an idiot. You got carried away. Yeah, I guess I did. So, if I’m not the father,

does that mean…

It does.

Zander’s the father. I’m pregnant with his baby. There’s something I should, something you should, you should know. Rex, Sarah’s looking really pale. Sarah? You alright? I don’t, I don’t know. Sarah? Sarah? What is it? What’s happening? Her pulse is rapid and threading, and she’s lost consciousness. Why? What’s wrong with her?

She’s hemorrhaging. Is she gonna be alright? We gotta get her to the hospital. Like now.

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

I’ll call an ambulance. No, no, there’s no time. It would be faster if we drive ourselves. How’s she doing? Her hemorrhaging is slowing down. I bet she’s lost a lot of volume. Uh, Chloe, can you bring my car around, please? Yeah, of course. Sarah. Sarah, open your eyes. Can you hear me? Xander? Oh, thank God. Stay with me.

Your, your baby needs you. Oh, my baby. Please don’t let anything happen to her again. She’s fine. It’s you we’re worried about now. If anything, if anything happens to me, you have to promise to take care of her, okay? Take care of our little girl.

First, let me ask you something. When Teresa asked you out to dinner, were you seriously thinking about going out with her? No! Well, maybe, but not if you still have feelings for her or whatever. Teresa and I are history, so… If you want to go out with her, that’s your business. I don’t have a problem with that, but…

But… There’s some things that I need to tell you about her first.

Vivian’s here? I thought she was in prison. Well, apparently she has been released. She wasn’t at the funeral. I mean, I was there. And she’s not easy to miss. No, she wasn’t at the funeral. She showed up afterwards. Kate said that she was acting like she was grief stricken, but really, she was just there to find out if she was bequeathed anything from his will.

As if Victor would leave anything to the woman who tried to kill his wife. Justin, end this, please. I’ll call the county clerk and get a copy of the divorce decree. If I weren’t so angry, I would feel sorry for you. Given that you can’t even accept the fact that Victor loathed you. And you can’t accept the fact that he destroyed his will and that our divorce was never finalized.

You’re delusional. Utterly delusional. Voicemail. Okay, I’ll go down to the courthouse myself and get a copy of the decree. And then we will send you packing, Vivian. We’ll just see about that.

Oh, better not on an empty stomach. Where are those men with the food? Where is everyone? I’m gonna go find Sarah. And leave me alone with her? No! Maggie, hi. Hi. Vivian Allemane? Candy, is it? Chloe, what’s wrong? Where is Sarah? At the hospital, she went into labor. What? It all happened really quickly and Rex had to deliver the baby right outside the mausoleum.

And it’s a baby girl. A little girl. Are they both okay? Well, the baby’s fine, but Sarah had some bleeding, so I think I should drive you to the hospital. Oh my God, yes. Praying for you, Maggie. Well… The figurines are the first thing to go. And then those hideous drapes.

What happened? She went into labor right after Victor’s funeral. It was all happening so fast, I just delivered the baby right there. Birth was uncomplicated, and the baby’s APGAR is 10. Tell her vitals crashed. It was a postpartum hemorrhage. She’s lost about 2, 000 cc’s. Okay, get her into room 3. I’ll be there as soon as I get the baby to pediatrics.

Okay. I can do that. No, I got it. Thank you. Okay. Okay, baby. Good, good. Oh, oh, I got

you. You haven’t looked at the menu. Oh, I have it memorized. My second time here today, actually. Really? Why? Well, I was gonna go to the funeral reception, but then Brady made it clear I wasn’t welcomed. Told me to hang out with my own family. Uh, that was rude. At least he’s clear about where he stands. And, at least you missed all that chaos with Vivian Alamey.

Hey, I like chaos. You don’t need to remind me. Remember that time we went to a Miley Cyrus concert? And you waited until Aunt Kim dropped us off and drove away before he told me we didn’t have tickets. Because he wouldn’t have gone if you knew. And hey, you know, we had a really good time, didn’t we? Yeah, we did.

We listened from a block away, and then you decided… That we should go through the dumpster, behind the theater. Where you found Miley Cyrus’s hamburger wrapper. You only said it was hers. It’s not like she signed it or anything. You kept that thing for two years, all right? It was a life highlight for you.

Which says a lot about my life this time. Oh my goodness. Girl, I’ve missed you. I’ve missed you too. And when are you going back to California? Uh. I don’t know. I mean, I had a flight that was going out tomorrow afternoon, but I think I might stick around for a while.

Look, uh, first and foremost, Therese and I, we love our son, right? Tate is wonderful, and she’s, she’s a great mom. She really is. I, I gotta give her that. I think our son actually brings out the best in her. But, but Alex, she has an incredible talent for finding. Oh. She said something about that earlier. She did?

Yeah, yeah. But it’s fine by me. Totally cool. Honestly, it’s something she and I both have in common. Are

you in any pain from the accident? I’m just a little achy here and there, but… The doctor said I’m gonna be fine, and the baby is gonna be fine. Let’s just be happy. Oh, I am. Very

happy. Okay. How is she? Who’s Sarah?

Xander, I can’t give you any of Sarah’s medical information because you’re not family. But I am. And Xander and Chloe, they can hear anything you have to tell me. Right. Okay. Sarah had a condition called placenta accreta. Which causes the placenta to not detach fully after labor. When she came in, she was in very serious condition.

But she has responded well, and she has regained consciousness. And I think that she will make up for recovery. Thank God. Thank God. So

glad you’re hanging around Salem for a while. Hm? But if, if Brady doesn’t want you around… Then why am I staying here? Look, I’m not gonna beat that dead horse, okay, but I think that I’m gonna move on. Anyone in particular? Well, there was this really hot guy at the funeral. At the funeral, huh? He was flirting with me, okay?

And I was flirting with him, and… Okay, his name is Alex Kiriakis.

Well, for one thing, look, you and Teresa, you’re nothing alike. I’ll tell you why. I’ll give you an example. Your idea of trouble… This is like sleeping with Allie and busting up her relationship with Chanel, alright? Teresa’s idea of trouble is hitting my father over the head with a fireplace poker and almost killing him.

Oh. Or getting kidnapped, uh, and, and being stuck in Mexico for two years with a Mexican drug lord by the name of El Fideo. Not that that was her fault or anything. No, no, no, I, I, I see what you mean. You understand? Yeah. Um, it’s, it’s better to stay on her good side. Duly noted. There he is. What’s going on, Dad?

Sorry, did you almost give up on us here? The, uh, kitchen messed up our order, but they’re remaking it. I texted Maggie, I didn’t hear anything back. Yeah, because she’s, uh, in the middle of a situation. Vivian Allemagne got out of prison. What? What? And she showed up at the funeral reception. That is not what Maggie needs right now.

Did they at least throw her out? No. They want us to? No, there’s more. Vivian was going on about what Victor might have left her in his will. Why would he leave her anything? Well, he wouldn’t, so I thought I would, uh, prove it and get rid of her. But when I opened the safe, the will was gone. Did she steal it?

No. I called Victor’s estate attorney, and he said that Victor had called him three days before he died, and asked him to destroy it. Why would he do that? I have no idea. But I assume that he meant to file a new one. But he died before he could. What does that mean? Are we, like, disinherited? It means that his surviving spouse inherits everything.

Well, at least Auntie Mag wouldn’t let you get disinherited. It’s a little more complicated than that. Now, Vivian claims that Maggie and Victor’s marriage was invalid because Victor’s divorce from Vivian was never finalized. What are you saying? I don’t believe it’s true. But if it is, Vivian Allemagne will be the sole heir of the Kiriakis Empire.

Don’t even think about trying to stuff one of those into your brassiere, lady. I’m watching you. I’m shaking in my stilettos. More like your orthopedic clogs, don’t you think? I’m on to you. I know what your con is. Are you? Mm hmm. You magically managed to get released from prison on the day of Victor’s funeral.

And then you show up here uninvited, asking about his will. And then you’re just so surprised when no one can find it. And then you drop that bombshell about being Victor’s real wife. Well, Justin’s gonna find out what a greedy, gold panning liar you really are. Unlike you, you mean, who used your resemblance to his dead wife just so you could get a ring on your finger.

I don’t care about Justin’s money, alright? I love him. Why is that so hard for people to understand? It’s the same way that nobody believes that I loved Victor. Passionately, and I, I still do. I miss him terribly.

Sarah’s just got the OKC visitors, so she would like to see you and the baby. Okay, uh, I just went down to the nursery to get her. Okay, great. Okay. Just think about it. Three generations of strong, hoarded women. Ah, thank goodness Sarah’s okay. I thought. Well, look who got a clean bill of health. Oh, my goodness.

Oh, she has such beautiful eyes. Oh, sorry. Oh, darn it. I have to go to the ER. I can take her to see Sarah. No funny business this time, I promise. I’ll make sure of it. Um, well, okay.

Are you in any pain? I just, I just want to hold my little girl. I’m sure Kayla’s gonna be here any minute. Actually, uh, Kayla was called away to the ER. There she is. She’s beautiful.

Congratulations, mate. Thank you. Thank you. She does look like you. Well, I think I see a little bit of you in there too, mate. You’re right, Jander. She’s absolutely beautiful. Jander,

thank you. Oh, I’m just glad you and the baby are okay. I’ll, uh, I’ll leave you guys alone now, yeah? Xavier, wait. I have something important I want to say and… I’d like you to hear it.

The importance of family. Knowing where you come from, being connected to that, feeling that very viscerally right now.

I wanted you to hear this because I know how much Victor meant to you.

Rex, I know that we came up with a whole slew of names, but… I’d like to do something different if that’s okay with you. Of course.

I’d like to name her Victoria. After Victor. And for her middle name, I’d like it to be Margaret. After you, Mom. Oh, Sarah. Victoria Margaret. Well, that’s a name fit for a princess. Uncle Vic would be so honored. Is that

all you want to say, Sarah?

That’s all? You a couple of hours, and… I I really should

get back. Oh, although God only knows what’s waiting for me.

I’ll bet you thought I I really don’t have any feelings. Well, yeah. Dang it.

Let me tell you, it’s not the first time I’ve cried over Victor. Well, he did have that effect on people. I mean, he never had a kind word for me. Yet I do have to admit, I did drop a few tears when I heard that he passed. Kinda reminds me of that matron on Cell Block H in Statesville. Zelda? You were on Cell Block H?

Oh, tell me. Is Pookie still running that cigarette ring? I wouldn’t know. I don’t smoke. Gonna stop it, Vivian. You seem to be the person who would know everything. Please catch me up. What do you want to know? Really?

Alex Kiriakis? Do you know him? I mean, he’s hot and he’s fun and he’s rich and he’s Brady’s cousin. Yeah, who cares? Okay, so tell me what you know about him. Do you like him, or? Oh, yeah, I like him. But… It’s just that the two of us sort of had a thing. Oh, oh my god, Stephanie, I’m so sorry. Listen, if you’re still into him, I…

No, no, no, no, no. Alex and I are just friends now. Chad and I are together, and we’re very happy. You sure? Positive.

It’s just the whole idea of staying here to move on with someone you don’t know who happens to be Brady’s cousin. Yeah. Are you sure you’re not just doing it to make Brady jealous?

You don’t really think that Uncle Vic’s marriage to Auntie Mag was invalid, do you? I, I, you know, Vivian is always running some kind of a scam. I’m sure, I’m sure your dad will figure it out. I just don’t know why in the hell my grandfather would destroy the will. Maybe he wanted to disinherit Sean. Or me.

Or Xander. Who knows? The mysterious trip that he took after he saw Bo and Hope and then calling his lawyer on his way to wherever he went. I can’t help but think these two things are related somehow. Well, I wish there was a way for us to find out more.

Maybe there is.

Trying to make Brady jealous. Me? Look, I should warn you. Alex can be a lot. So can I. Very true. Yeah. So can I get his number?

Nobody knows where my grandfather was headed when his plane went down in the Mediterranean. Okay, I was going to look into it after the funeral, but I had no idea where to look or start. However, if this attorney actually talked to grandfather, then… Maybe his attorney knows something. I’m gonna give this guy a call and find out.

You’re back. Yeah, I… I know Victoria’s a little young for a candle, but they’re all out of stuffed animals at the gift shop. So I suppose this is more for you, Sarah. It’s lovely. Thank you. While I was shopping, I… remembered that earlier, before you… passed out, you said you had something to tell me. What was it?

Um, I, uh, I don’t remember. Oh, well, it can’t have been very important then, eh? No. No, I don’t think it was. You’ve got to be kidding me. What

is going on in here? Bonnie and I were just reminiscing over our respective prison terms together. Did you see the baby? How’s Sarah? She’s fine. And the baby is perfect. They named her Victoria. Oh, how lovely. I didn’t ask for your opinion. Well, I do hope that no one thinks that little Victoria is going to inherit any of big Victor’s money.

Vivian, you know this is getting so tiresome. Just go home, or wherever it is you came from. Hey. Justin, you look serious. Justin? What is it? Uh, maybe you should sit down, Maggie. No, just, just tell me. I can’t believe it, but I double and triple checked it. Uh, Justin, spit it out. Vivian is telling the truth. You and Victor were never legally married.

Just like I said, I inherit every penny Victor ever made.

Yes, I understand. No, it absolutely was a great loss. Thank you so much. Lawyers, man. That wasn’t a very long conversation. I don’t know how many different ways a lawyer can say it’s privileged information. Go suck an egg, please. He did not really just say that. No, he didn’t say that, but he definitely took a lot of joy into not divulging anything.

Actually, he did share that grandfather had called him from Greece. Greece? I know his plane went down over the Mediterranean, but Bo had already been moved from Greece by then. What was Uncle Vic doing there? Well, that damn lawyer wasn’t about to tell me anything, but there may be a way we could figure it out.

How so?

Maybe we just need to go there and figure this thing out for ourselves. You want to go to Greece right now? Why not? Let’s go.

Hello, Alex Kiriakis. Hi, Alex, it’s Theresa Donovan. Oh, hey, Theresa. So, I was calling to see if we could set that date for the dinner we talked about. You know, I would love to do that. But I’m actually going to be going out of town. Really? You didn’t mention that earlier. It was a last minute type of thing.

I’m going to Greece with Brady.

Hey, are you okay? Me? Yeah, sure. Look, I know that you still care about Sarah and today has been a lot. Yeah, it was actually. I just couldn’t stop thinking about what happened with Mackenzie and how I ruined everything for her. No, this is nothing like what happened with Mackenzie. Yeah, you’re right. And little Victoria’s healthy and.

Has a long life ahead of her. And this time, there’s no question, whose baby it is, I mean, she’s definitely Rex and Sarah’s.

She does look like you. Thank

God. Because she, she was a spitting image of Xander.

Do you, can you really tell who she looks like when she’s only a couple hours old? No, of course not.

I thought for a minute there you were going to tell Xander that he was a father. I almost did. When I was in labor and, and then I saw him holding her,

I was just so overwhelmed with gratitude and, and guilt.

And then, we came here, and all these memories flooded back, and the pain of, of bonding with a child that wasn’t mine, and never getting to say goodbye to Mickey.

I know that Xander was trying to do the right thing by me. He just made everything so much worse.

And that’s, that’s who he is. If he knew that Victoria was his, that’s what I would be signing up for. Just, a lifetime of that pain. And I, I just can’t put myself through that.

Or her.

Rex, thank

you. Thank you for everything.

Victoria is so lucky to have you.

Well, I am so lucky to have the both of you.

But… But what?

Are you sure that you’re not second guessing any of this? No. No, I…

I know the agony of having a child ripped away from you. I would never do that to you.

That’s why I know I made the right choice.

Well. I guess that settles that.

Justin, are you sure? I’m sorry. There’s no legal remedy to this. Well, I won’t be leaving after all. Oh, one more thing. Could you just pack your belongings and get the hell out of my house?
