Gabi meets Theo (portrayed in this episode by Tahj Bellow) and assumes it’s about her job offer. Gabi says it’s perfect since she wanted to jump start her day anyway. Gabi then asks if they are in business. Theo stops her and says he’s sorry but he cannot accept her offer.

Brady gets up at home and greets Sarah. Sarah talks about not sleeping much but says another doctor wanted to switch shifts, so she’s off for the morning. Brady thinks she should consider taking off more but Sarah refuses as she doesn’t want it to look like she’s bowing down to the false accusations or let EJ think he can intimidate her. Sarah then gets a call from Maggie, asking her to meet her at the Pub. Sarah agrees and asks if something’s wrong. Maggie says no, but the sooner she gets there, the sooner they can make sure everything goes right and hangs up. Sarah tells Brady that was cryptic as Maggie wants her to meet her at the Pub but wouldn’t say why. Brady says he’s curious now. Sarah says she’ll let him know when she knows as she kisses him and then exits.

Philip excitedly joins Xander at the Titan office and says he’s ready to strategize. Philip says it feels good. Xander agrees and says that based off their town hall, their employees are thrilled as well. Philip is happy they avoided putting thousands of people on unemployment. Xander hopes everything will stay in place and Titan will be back stronger than ever. Xander adds that thanks to Philip, they finally have some good news to celebrate despite losing the house and not being under the same roof as his daughter anymore. Xander then gets a call from Maggie, asking if he and Philip can meet her at the Pub now. Xander asks why. Maggie tells him that everything will be very clear when they get there as they hang up.

Gabi tells Theo that him turning down her offer was not on her bingo card. Theo says it’s not that he’s not interested in the job, but they both know he used to have feelings for her. Theo adds that he’s over them mostly, but thinks them working together is not the best idea. Gabi guesses she could see how that could be a problem and she hadn’t thought of that. Gabi says she’s flattered but that can’t be the only reason he won’t come work for her. Theo admits that he kind of got used to being his own boss, so he’s not sure he can go back to taking orders from someone else again. Gabi tells him that she would treat their working relationship more like a joint collaboration and she’d be totally low key. Gabi admits low key isn’t exactly her default setting but she’s willing to switch things up and go with the flow if it gets Theo on her team. Gabi asks if he will come work for the low key go with the flow chill version of her.

Brady gets Rachel packed up and ready to go to school but Rachel forgot her bracelet and insists on wanting to wear the bracelet that her mom got her.

Xander, Philip, and Sarah arrive at the Brady Pub talking about how they have no clue what this is about. Xander shows them a photo of Victoria he got while dropping her off at school. Maggie then comes over with Kate and thanks them for coming. Sarah asks what it’s about while Xander asks if everything is alright. Maggie says it’s alright and what she’s going to say to them demands total secrecy and if it’s going to work, they all have to agree. Maggie announces that Kate had an idea that’s a bit of a hail mary. Sarah asks what this is about. Maggie declares that they think they might be able to get the house back by putting on the declaration that it’s a breeding ground for mold and vermin. Kate adds that most homeowners downplay things like that but Maggie wants to do the opposite. Philip realizes they think if Dominic Marino sees the mansion as a money pit, he’ll lose interest in the sale. Kate points out that Dominic is buying it without seeing it, but is demanding an inspection before closing, so they can make sure the inspection frightens him away by making it disgusting. Maggie says they would let him graciously back away. Philip calls it a brillianti deal while Sarah argues that it would be illegal as they would be trespassing. Sarah states that she’s already being sued for wrongful death so she shouldn’t be apart of this. Xander agrees that Sarah shouldn’t be involved but he and Philip are in. Maggie hopes they can pull it off. Roman comes over and asks what they are pulling off. Kate calls it internal Titan business. Roman says he gets the message and walks away. Maggie asks Kate if that’s going to be a problem. Kate says the only problem is that she hoped to use Roman’s toolbox but suggests there could be one in the shed at the Kiriakis Mansion if it hasn’t been cleared out. Sarah then offers to ask Brady for his. Maggie points out that Sarah didn’t want to be involved, but Sarah decides that how much the house means to all of them is worth the risk. Roman can still hear from nearby as Maggie asks Sarah if she’s sure. Sarah declares that there is no changing her mind as she is in.

Rachel gets her bracelet so Brady gets ready to take her to school but Rachel says she doesn’t feel good and complains of a stomachache. Brady notes that she doesn’t have a fever and asks if she wants to talk. Rachel admits she may be nervous about a math test. Brady encourages her and thinks she should go to school, but if she feels worse, he will come pick her up. Rachel agrees as they exit.

Theo tells Gabi that as interested as he is in seeing low key Gabi, he feels he could use a break from work after the last few months with DiMera. Gabi says she gets that and it’s good to take a little time. Gabi admits she’s bummed they won’t be working together but she understands. Gabi thanks him for telling her in person and asks if there’s something else. Theo responds that there actually is.

Maggie, Kate, Sarah, Philip, and Xander arrive at the empty Kiriakis Mansion. Maggie and Kate point out that they won’t be charged with breaking and entering since they hadn’t changed the locks. Philip wonders if they should recruit others. Maggie says it’s a nice idea but there’s not many others to recruit. Philip brings up Justin and Bonnie but Maggie says they are visiting Mimi in Chicago. Sarah points out that it’s probably best not to include Justin in case he feels obligated to report them. Kate agrees, joking they might need him for legal assistance later. Maggie is glad that Holly is in class, so they don’t have to explain to Nicole how they got her daughter arrested, but says she’s sure it won’t come to that. Philip then worries that someone is coming.

Gabi tells Theo that she’s a big girl and she can take it if he doesn’t want to work for her. Theo explains that there was one part of her offer that appealed to him as he really liked what she said about exposing DiMera’s crimes and that’s one of the main reasons he was considering the offer. Gabi questions why he turned it down then. Theo clarifies that he realized he doesn’t have to work for her to help her do that.

Brady arrives at the Kiriakis Mansion, relieving everyone who thought they were being busted. Brady reminds Sarah that he told her on the phone he was coming after dropping off Rachel. Sarah says she didn’t expect him so soon. Brady clarifies that they are there to make sure the house doesn’t pass inspection and calls it interesting as most people try to cover up their problems instead of the other way around. Kate says that difficult times call for out of the box thinking as she and Maggie explain they are trying to make it look like the house is falling apart without actually falling apart. Sarah says that’s where Brady comes in as another set of useful hands. Brady says to count him in as he has no problem with saving their family home. Maggie admits it’s obviously risky. Philip points out that if the buyer figures out what they are doing, they could lose the house and end up in jail. They then hear the door and are surprised as Roman arrives. Kate questions what he’s doing there. Roman responds that after she shooed him away from their table for Titan businses, he didn’t believe a word she said. Roman then reveals that he overheard everything she said and knows exactly what they are up to. Kate then questions if Roman is there to stop them. Roman says hell no and reveals he brought his toolbox as he tells Kate to put him in, exciting everyone.

Gabi questions Theo wanting to help her expose DiMera’s crimes. Theo thinks if they work as a team, they can make it happen sooner than later. Gabi brings up that when she asked him why he quit DiMera, all he said was that something bad happened. Gabi asks if he’d care to elaborate now and be a bit more specific. Theo responds that all he can say is that he got tired of how DiMera operates and is appalled by it. Theo says the whole reason he went to work there was because he thought he could make a difference and change it from the inside to make it an honest and ethical company. Theo notes that Abe was skeptical, but he really believed it was possible and Lexie did too which is why she gave her blessing as she thought he could steer DiMera towards a better future. Theo says it’s in the company’s DNA and trying to fight it leads to the same wall over and over again, so that’s why he wants to help Gabi. Theo wants them to do everything in their power to destroy DiMera piece by piece, until there’s nothing left but a lesson in failure and the people at the top are finally held accountable.

Maggie sends Xander to cause leaky pipes in the laundry room and tells Roman he will handle all of the electrical so he goes with Kate. Maggie sends Sarah with paint to portray black mold. Kate reminds them all to be quick so they can be in and out before anyone catches them. Philip asks what he and Brady can do. Maggie says she has a few more things in mind but they are going to be a little messy.

Sarah sends Xander to the laundry room and warns him that Henderson said the pipes can be a bit tempermental. She then hears Xander scream and asks if he’s okay.

Philip puts on a protective body suit as Maggie gives him a bucket of asbestos to put on the attic walls to make it seem it’s seeping through. She reminds him to remember where he puts it so they can remove it after the inspection, so Philip says he’ll take pictures and exits. Brady asks Maggie what else they have to do. Maggie says she’s afraid there’s only one suit and that there is something else she wants him to do, but it’s not for the squeamish.

Sarah calls out to Xander, asking if he’s alright. Xander comes back in soaking wet which makes Sarah laugh. Xander then removes his shirt as Brady walks in to the room. Sarah tells him that Xander had a mishap with the pipes. Brady reveals that they are going to tell the inspector that there’s a rat infestation in the basement as he has a cage of rats which makes Sarah panic. Brady asks Xander to take care of it since he has to pick Rachel up from school. Sarah asks if Rachel is okay.

Kate watches Roman with the electrical and comments on him being in his element. Roman says he normally likes building things instead of taking them apart. Kate apologizes for not telling him about the plan but she didn’t want to involve him in something that might get him in trouble. Roman assures that he understands. Kate admits she’s pleasantly surprised that he’d want to be involved since he’s generally a by the book kind of guy and this is not on the up and up and not his concern. Roman responds that it is his concern.

Maggie goes over her check list as Philip returns and confirms he is finished. Maggie says if this works, they will get the house back. Philip insists it will work as no buyer wants to hear there is toxic chemicals in the walls along with mold and rats all over the place. Philip asks what’s next. Maggie thinks they are on top of most of it, so he can get back to Titan. Maggie feels he donated so much of his time and energy to the cause. Maggie reminds Philip to put his bodysuit somewhere they can find it, because with any luck they will need it soon. Philip hopes they will be getting their house back in shape.

Brady tells Sarah that Rachel had a stomachache this morning and now feels worse. Xander agrees to take care of the rats and exits. Sarah offers to go with Brady, but he says Maggie needs her now and he’s sure some cartoons will have Rachel feeling fine. Sarah says she will check her out when she gets home and kisses Brady as he exits.

Theo tells Gabi that he hates to eat and run but he wants to get in a jog while the weather is good. Gabi looks forward to working together to take DiMera down and says she’s just happy to have him on her team because he’s one of the good ones. Gabi adds that the offer to join Gabi Chic is always open if he changes his mind as Theo then walks away.

Roman appreciates Kate looking out for him, but he knows what the house means to Maggie and all of the Kiriakis family. Roman tells Kate that Philip being her son makes him his family too. Roman talks about EJ being unfair and exposing them all to Dominic Marino. Kate asks what Roman knows about him. Roman says only what Marlena told him, that he’s somehow tied to Stefano and the DiMeras, which tells him they need to do everything they can to keep the house out of his hands. Kate questions if he’s doing this for the Kiriakis family then. Roman responds that he’s doing this for Kate as they kiss.

Gabi remains in the town square as Philip joins her. Gabi asks why he isn’t at work. Philip says he was on his way back as Maggie had them all at their old house, because hopefully it won’t be their old house much longer since Maggie has a plan to get it back. Gabi calls that amazing and says she wants to hear all about it, but she has to check a text from her assistant. Philip then checks his phone as well and sees an invitation to a high stakes poker game in Chicago. Philip has flashbacks to winning in Monte Carlo, but deletes the e-mail.

Brady brings Rachel home and says he thinks the nurse took pretty good care of her. Brady asks if he can get her anything. Rachel responds that she wants her mom.

Maggie apologizes to Xander as she didn’t have him sacrificing his dignity in mind. Xander says he’s more than happy to do it if it gets them all back in to the family house. Maggie goes to get him a towel. Sarah admits it would be nice to have them all back under the roof and she knows Victoria would love having her parents both close by if she needs them. Xander agrees and notes that Victora told him recently that her favorite thing in the world is when they are all together. Sarah says she told her that last night too while tucking her in as Victoria asked when they can live with daddy again. Xander asks what she told her. Sarah says she told her the truth that since they can’t live in the big house anymore, they’ve had to live separately but Victoria didn’t like that answer. Xander hopes that maybe soon, they can give her a different answer. Sarah knows that Victoria would love it if they were back together again and she knows that’s what’s best for her as Xander agrees.
