Joey saw Vanessa opening a box of Doug’s belongings in the garage. He convinced her to go inside to get something to eat. While he was alone, he looked through the box and found a letter from Doug. The letter was about what happened if something happened to him. Joey didn’t tell Vanessa about the letter. Later Vanessa had lunch with Deanna. Deanna suggested that Vanessa and Joey go out with her and Donnell for dinner. She called Donnell, and he told her that he couldn’t make it. Doug told Deanna that she was doing the right thing. Joey read Doug’s letter, and it stated that he was responsible for his death. Kenny (the racist who had the run in with Martin and Vernon) was responsible for Doug’s death too. Joey called Randy and ordered him to find out if Doug had safe deposit boxes where he might have kept incriminating information. Vanessa arrived and told him about going out to dinner with her kids. Joey didn’t think it was a good idea. After Vanessa left the room, Joey read Doug’s letter again. He flashed back to Doug threatening to go Jacob with the information he knew. Joey burned the letter in the fireplace. Bill decided to check himself out of the hospital despite Madison’s objections. Chelsea decided to call Hayley about it. Hayley was at Uptown and was celebrating Bill’s impending death with Randy. Randy thought Madison might figure out what happened to Bill. Hayley wanted him to find a way to deal with the problems in the hospital lab. Randy said he had other things to deal with. He let her know that he had to befriend Deanna. After she finished talking to Randy, Hayley went to the hospital to confront Bill about leaving the hospital too early.
Sharon and Tracey showed up to visit Anita. They wanted her to go tour with them now that she’s better. Anita wasn’t ready to go on tour, but she was willing to record with them again. Jacob went with Naomi to her appointment with Monica. They talked about the different options. Naomi felt like the double mastectomy was the best option. Monica informed her that the BRCA gene could lead to other cancers too. She told Naomi that she should consider getting her ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and uterus removed as well. Monica told her to think about it before she made a decision.
