Bonnie joins Julie at her book store for her book signing. Bonnie talks about becoming a best selling romance novelist. Julie tells her not to forget them. Bonnie mentions having 100 books and hoping that’s enough. Julie says if not, Justin can go get some more but Bonnie reveals that Justin is not coming. Julie questions Bonnie’s husband not coming to her book signing. Bonnie responds that she’s not sure she would even want him there because he kept harping on about the plagiarism and not supporting her. Julie questions what plagiarism.

Arianna goes home, surprising Gabi. Arianna says she came to see Javi as she’s so happy he’s back. Gabi says Javi’s not there as he went to the firehouse to meet up with friends. Arianna guesses she should’ve called first. Gabi points out that it’s not her only chance to see Javi as she’s sure he’d be happy to see her any of the night of the week. Arianna is relieved that Javi is back for good. Gabi adds that the timing couldn’t be better since Javi can keep Rafe company as she moves out which Arianna questions. Gabi then informs her that she’s moving in to the Kiriakis Estate with Philip, leaving Arianna surprised.

Kate goes to meet Maggie at Titan. Maggie accuses her of filing a lawsuit behind her back. Kate asks if that’s a problem since she consulted with Xander about it. Maggie says she’s aware, but tells Kate not to do anything unless she signs off on it.

Alex tries calling Stephanie but it goes to voicemail. Alex then exits his apartment to go search for her.

Stephanie stands in the town square and sees her missed call from Alex. Stephanie thinks back to her argument with Alex where she stormed out. Stephanie then wonders what is wrong with her.

Arianna questions Gabi moving in with Philip. Gabi hopes she’s okay with that. Arianna says she is and that Philip is cool with her, but she never told her that they were serious. Gabi reveals that they said they love each other. Arianna calls it the best news and says she’s so happy for her as they hug.

Kate reminds Maggie that Titan is in dire straits trying to make a loan payment deadline. Maggie remarks that they met the deadline without her help. Kate says she heard Xander managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat, but she wonders if Maggie signed off on whatever his methods were. Kate guesses not which proves Maggie doesn’t have the backbone to save the company. Maggie asks if Kate thinks being manipulative and ruthless makes her strong and that she thinks she can save the company by bulldozing whoever is in her way. Maggie remarks that she’s fought harder battles than Kate has and did it without losing her soul.

Bonnie tells Julie that the plagiarism is just ridiculous gossip that spread like wildfire. Bonnie explains that it seems that someone thought her book seemed similar to Stephanie’s One Stormy Night. Bonnie argues that they are just both romance novels. Julie asks if this is the reason DiMera Publishing is not supporting this book signing. Liam then arrives and apologizes to Julie for missing their tutoring session. Julie understands since he was shot which Bonnie questions. Liam says it was more like he was grazed. Julie tells Liam that the police were looking for him. Liam says he gave them his statement so everything is cool now. Julie questions where Liam has been.

Arianna asks when Gabi is moving in with Philip. Gabi says as soon as she gets all her stuff packed which Arianna jokes would take all year. Arianna offers to help her pack and give her tips for living at the Kiriakis Estate, like how to deal with the butler, assuring that she’ll want to stay on Henderson’s good side. Arianna adds that the staff will come through and throw anything and everything in the wash. Gabi asks if she has any other words of wisdom. Arianna advises her to stay away from the drama. Gabi tells her that she already learned that as she and Philip walked in on a fight between Justin and Bonnie. Arianna tells her that she knows what that’s about as Titan is claiming that Bonnie’s book is a ripoff of One Stormy Night. Arianna admits she read Bonnie’s book and thought it was strangely similar to Stephanie’s. Arianna reveals she almost said something to Johnny about it but she had a friend look at it and he thought it was nothing, but she wishes she hadn’t listened to him because she could’ve spared DiMera this big mess.

Jeremy finds Stephanie in the town square and asks if she’s okay. Stephanie says no, so Jeremy asks if he can help.

Kate comments on Maggie’s fire and fury never translating to results. Maggie argues that she gave her leeway because of her success in the publishing division and out of respect as Victor’s former wife and Philip’s mother, but she’s still Victor’s widow which means she’s the boss. Maggie warns Kate about continuing to color outside the lines and make ill advised moves without her permission. Kate wasn’t aware she needed her permission since Philip and Xander are co-CEOs. Kate adds that she and Victor were together much longer than Victor and Maggie. Kate remarks that she gave Victor a son and questions what Maggie gave him.

Gabi asks Arianna how her internship is going. Arianna says it’s okay but admits she’s bummed that Theo isn’t coming back to DiMera. Arianna says she loves Johnny but Theo is a cool guy and she’s sad he won’t be around. Gabi asks if Arianna knows why Theo quit his job. Arianna says she has no clue. Gabi tells her to let her know if she hears anything because she’s worried about Theo. Arianna agrees that Gabi will be the first to know if she hears anything. Arianna says she should get going but she meant it about helping her pack. Gabi says she will hold her to that. Arianna adds that she’s so happy that Gabi is moving in with Philip and can’t wait to visit her at the amazing Kiriakis Estate. Gabi says she will have her over for dinner. They say they love each other and hug as Arianna then exits.

Julie asks Liam where he’s been all this time. Liam says that a friend let him crash for a few days until it was safe to show his face again. Julie says that was very generous of his friend. Liam says he’ll never be able to thank her. Julie questions it being a her. Bonnie then interrupts to ask if people are just late, pointing out that Stephanie’s book signing had a line going out the door while all she has is Liam. Julie tells Liam that she is grateful he’s there since every fan is important to her. Liam clarifies that he’s not there for the signing and says he would buy her book but he’s short on cash.

Alex goes to the Brady Pub. Roman greets him and asks if he came for trivia night. Alex says he’s looking for Stephanie and asks if he’s seen her. Roman says he hasn’t and asks if everything is alright. Alex claims it is and they just got their signals crossed so he’s sure she’s just shopping or something. Roman tells Alex that he’ll get him some takeout while he’s there. Alex says it’s not necessary but Roman insists.

Jeremy asks Stephanie what’s going on. Stephanie says Alex has been overprotective lately and she knows he’s just trying to protect her but shielding her from everything that could go wrong is just making her feel weak which is the last thing she needs to feel. Jeremy encourages that she’s not weak and was a total badass while they were locked up. Jeremy says Stephanie knew what to do to get the job done and remarks that if he had to be held captive, he’s glad it was with her.

Bonnie complains that Julie could’ve done a little more advertising since this is her first novel so she’s not a known name yet. Arianna arrives and says she thinks Julie promoted the book the best she could considering DiMeras hands were tied with the lawsuit. Bonnie asks if DiMera sent the intern and that’s why she’s there. Bonnie asks if she knows how humiliating it is that this is her book signing and nobody is there. Julie doesn’t think she can blame Arianna for that. Bonnie declares that somebody has to be blamed for this pathetic turnout. Liam steps in and says it’s not Arianna’s fault. A man then arrives and serves Julie with a court order from Titan, announcing that they are prohibiting Bonnie’s book from being sold. Bonnie argues that they can’t do that but Julie says she’s afraid they can. The man then declares that he’s going to need to take the copies of her book away. Bonnie pleads not to let this happen.

Maggie asks if Kate is suggesting she had a deeper connection to Victor than she did. Kate argues that Maggie gave him a warm home, but she gave him heat. Maggie warns her not to reduce her marriage and declares that she was the love of Victor’s life. Maggie then gets a call from Julie and asks if she knows about Titan’s injunction against Bonnie’s book.

Roman tells Alex that he’s glad to hear he and Stephanie are doing okay, especially with the lawsuit at Titan Publishing. Alex insists that he thought suing DiMera and Johnny was a bad idea, but Kate didn’t, so it’s definitely happening. Alex hates that Johnny has to go through this. Roman says he does too and goes to check on his food. Gabi then enters the Pub and tells Alex that this is perfect timing as she invites he and Stephanie to join them for trivia night. Alex thanks her but says they will have to pass. Gabi asks if everything is alright. Alex says that Stephanie is just dealing with a lot since the kidnapping. Gabi sympathizes after going through that herself. Gabi says friends and family help most which Stephanie has lots of. Gabi adds that Stephanie is especially lucky to have Alex, but Alex says he’s not so sure.

Stephanie tells Jeremy that she feels the same way, that if she had to be held captive, she’s glad it was with him. Jeremy argues that she’d probably wish a lot of other people showed up. Stephanie points out that they didn’t show up and he did. Stephanie adds that she’s so grateful that Jeremy didn’t run when she told him to and that he stayed with her. Stephanie says with their history, it feels strange to be saying that and sees it’s making him uncomfortable. Stephanie adds that she’s starting therapy and she knows the most helpful thing is to be honest with how she feels and that’s how she feels.

Bonnie cries that she put her heart and soul in to her book. Arianna tells Bonnie to let it go as they have no choice. Bonnie then storms out in tears. Julie tells Maggie that Bonnie is devastated as she expected a wonderful book signing, but nobody came and now they are carting away her books. Maggie says she’ll get to the bottom of it and hangs up. Maggie informs Kate that Julie was just notified of an injunction against Bonnie’s new book because of the lawsuit. Kate asks what that has to do with Julie. Maggie explains that Bonnie was having a book signing at her store but her event was rudely interrupted by her company. Maggie questions Kate not running this by her either. Kate assumed she knew this was standard procedure and says that Xander signed off on it. Maggie says she will speak to him and warns that Kate will never do that again or she will no longer have a job at Titan.

Gabi tells Alex that she never expected him to ever doubt himself and asks what happened to his swagger. Alex responds that it’s a lot easier to have swagger when he has nothing to lose while now he has Stephanie. Alex talks about losing his mind when Stephanie was kidnapped and worries about losing her now that he has her back. Gabi asks why he would lose her when they love each other and that’s all that really matters. Alex says he hopes so. Roman comes back with burgers and chowder for Alex and sends Stephanie his love. Alex thanks Roman and remarks to himself that he hopes Stephanie is there when he gets home.

Jeremy tells Stephanie that it’s got to be hard for Alex to deal with as it was a hell of way for them to start their married life together. Stephanie states that she feels like a different person from the one who married Alex. Jeremy asks in what way. Stephanie says she won’t bore him with that. Jeremy argues that she could never bore him and that Alex is a very lucky guy to have her. Stephanie doesn’t know how lucky he is since she went off on him earlier for no reason and that had to hurt. Jeremy guesses it wasn’t for no reason. Stephanie admits she was upset about something he said. Stephanie states that Alex has been so caring and tried so hard to help her through this, but it’s hard for her to talk to Alex or anyone else about what happened, except for Jeremy because they went through it together, so they’re the only ones who can understand what they are feeling. Jeremy agrees and hugs her. Alex then walks in to the town square and sees them hugging.

Kate tells Maggie that all these threats and accusations are completely unjustified and reflect very badly on her. Kate calls it pathetic that Maggie doesn’t give a damn that DiMera stole Titan’s intellectual property. Maggie asks if they did or if Kate gave it to them. Maggie argues that Kate bent over backwards to give Johnny her blessing to publish the book. Kate argues that she was trying to help. Maggie questions who she was trying to help.

Arianna brings Bonnie some tea but Bonnie cries that nothing will calm her nerves as she can’t believe the guy took her book. Bonnie adds that Justin warned her this might happen but she didn’t believe him. Bonnie talks about how hard she worked on the book. Arianna offers to take her home but Bonnie complains that she needs a stiff drink and a bubble bath as she walks out of the store again and Arianna goes after her. Julie thanks Liam for his help in that crisis. Julie brings up when Liam told Arianna that he was interviewing for a job at the book store to cover for their tutoring sessions. Julie tells Liam that she does need help and suggests he come work for her. Liam worries that it’s a book store and he’s just learning to read. Julie encourages that he’ll get better and she needs help with the heavy lifting. Julie promises to be a very good boss. Liam then accepts the job and thanks her.

Alex turns to walk away but Stephanie calls out to him. Jeremy decides he should get home and says goodnight to Stephanie as he walks away. Alex then asks Stephanie what that was about. Stephanie responds that Jeremy was just helping her work through some things. Alex remarks that he’s glad somebody was able to help her.

Liam approaches Arianna at the book store and apologizes for not responding to her texts. Arianna guesses he’s been busy. Liam says it’s more that it’s not good for her to be around a guy like him. Arianna thinks she should be the judge of that. Liam responds that she can’t be because she doesn’t know him as he then walks away.

Kate questions Maggie asking who she’s trying to help when it’s obviously Titan and Johnny. Maggie argues that she’s trying to uphold the integrity of this company which seems to be a low priority for Kate. Kate calls that unfair. Maggie says what’s not fair is Kate going behind her back, making decisions that she knew she would object to. Maggie argues that they all have a lot riding on Titan’s success so she’s not going to tolerate whispers or underhanded power plays. Maggie declares they either hang together or separately.

Arianna goes to the Brady Pub, surprising Gabi. Arianna says she was just grabbing dessert to take back to the dorm. Gabi sits her down and tells her to spill because something is obviously upsetting her. Arianna says it’s just guys being jerks and nothing new there. Gabi asks if it’s about the boy in her dorm room but Arianna claims it’s not him. Roman brings Arianna the last slice of apple pie. Arianna thanks him and says she’ll see them later. Gabi decides she will walk her out.

Jeremy goes home to the Horton house and finishes a call with his dad. Julie comes in, so Jeremy asks how the book signing went. Julie suggests talking about his evening instead. Jeremy says his evening was interesting.

Alex and Stephanie go home. Stephanie guesses that Alex is mad. Alex responds that he’s actually envious that Jeremy was able to help her work through some things while he doesn’t seem to have the ability to do that. Stephanie calls that not true. Stephanie then says she’s not up for this conversation and is just going to bed. Alex questions her not having dinner. Stephanie says she can go without it for one night and will see him in the morning. Alex stops her and says all he wants to do is just be there for her because she means more than anything in the world to him and he hates that she is hurting. Alex tells Stephanie that he loves her. Stephanie says she loves him too and goes to the bedroom, leaving Alex holding back tears as he sits down.
