At the coffee shop, Laura didn’t want anything to do with Eva or Leslie. While they were talking, Laura revealed that Marcel was paid by the Duprees to stay close to Leslie during Winterfest. Leslie went to see Marcel at the police station. She said he talked about his boat more than his wife. He said people wanted to see her in prison. Later on, Eva told Leslie that she was taking a risk being around Marcel. Leslie said she was getting close to him so he could protect her. She told Eva to get closer to Laura. Elon told Marcel they needed to bring up their arrest rate. Marcel said he wanted to prove that Leslie was guilty. Bill met with Tomas for lunch. He said Tomas could possibly make partner but he couldn’t break his niece’s heart. Bill wanted Tomas to guarantee that he and Kat were okay. Tomas told Bill that he asked Kat to move in with him.
Martin and Kat met at Orphey Gene’s. Things were tense between them at first. Kat told him things were moving too fast with Tomas. She thought Tomas wouldn’t like her if he knew the real her. Martin suggested that she let Tomas see the real her and fall in love with her. He said there was more to her than meets the eye. They decided to make more time for each other. Ashley and Naomi met at Uptown. Derek and Jacob showed up. Ashley told Naomi that she felt like she broke up their friendship. Derek told Jacob that he wanted Ashley to have feelings for him. Jacob suggested that he move on. He told Derek to be careful about moving on with Cheryl because it could ruin his work life. Naomi told Ashley that she and Jacob haven’t worked out their problems.
