Ted told Nicole the truth about Joey’s mother. Nicole didn’t want Vanessa to be fooled so she wanted to tell her the truth. Diego talked to Vanessa about his concerns about her working with Joey. She wasn’t concerned about how he felt about it. Nicole arrived and wanted to talk to Vanessa about Joey. She told Vanessa that Joey’s mother was dead. Vanessa thought there was more to the story than that. She wanted to meet with Joey to find out what was going on. Hayley met with Derek to try to get back into the good graces with the Duprees. She appreciated that he didn’t treat her badly the way the other people in town were. Derek advised her to try to make new friends since her relationship with Naomi was finished. Naomi called 9-1-1 to help Bill because he appeared to be having a heart attack. Bill ended the call because he felt better. Naomi thought their arguing was affecting him physically. Bill said if that was true Dani would have killed him a long time ago.
Vanessa met with Joey to find out why he wanted to buy a house for a dead woman. He told her that he was embarrassed to admit the house was for him because she was so beautiful. Joey didn’t want to seem weak in front of her. She wasn’t happy that he lied to her, but he did it for the right reasons. Vanessa agreed to help him look for a house. After her conversation with Bill, Naomi went to see Dani. Dani advised her to recuse herself from the sexual harassment case. She thought another lawyer could handle the case. Dani’s advice made Naomi more determined to win the case. Dani decided to call Bill. She warned him that he was the one who could hurt Naomi the most despite being a strong person. Dani warned him not to hurt their daughter. Hayley decided to have lunch with Becky (one of the women suing Bill). She tried to stop her from rejecting the settlement. While they were talking, Naomi appeared at their table.
