Finn: My mother is dead because of you!
Sheila: Need to calm down. No, you’ve, you’ve got to stay there.
Finn: No! What I have to do is what somebody should’ve done to you a long time ago.
Sheila: You need to get back in bed because you are not strong enou–
Finn: –Shut up! I’m leaving! I’m going back to my wife and son but not before I make you pay for what you have done to us, to my mother, the woman that you killed!
Bill: Here’s some more water. You’ve gotta be hungry. Is that why you were in the alley behind the restaurant? Were– were you looking for food? Look, I– I know that I’m a– I’m a total stranger but I– I’m really just trying to help you. You’re obviously traumatized. A little bit beat up. I– I wish you would let me take you to a hospital. Oh. Okay. Okay. Okay, okay. No. No hospital. Will ya– will you please just drink some more water? I… don’t want you to get dehydrated. Please. That’s it. That’S… there you go. There you go. Good. You think you’re ready to tell me your name? Do you remember my name? I’m bill. I told ya I have three sons? Two of ’em are grown and, one is off at boarding school. His– his name is, is will. I like to think that he’s a chip off the old block. He’s– he’s actually a lot smarter than I am. I think someday he’ll take over for me, you know, be a– be a titan of business. Or who knows? Maybe a world renowned doctor or something.
[Li gasps]
Bill: What? What? What? What? What– what is it? Tell me. Tell me. You can talk to me.
[Phone chimes]
Liam: Thank you so much. And that is hope letting me know beth and douglas are down for the count. Actually, I think she beat my best time. Look at that.
Wyatt: I don’t know how you guys do it, man. Work, parenthood, all the other things you guys got going on. It’s exhausting.
Liam: Yeah, well, yeah, it’s just teamwork. You know, it’s teamwork based on love and, and respect. I’m sorry, but weren’t– weren’t you and dad, like, just here?
Wyatt: Yeah. No, I’m– I’m not eating. Uh, but I really wanted you to see this place because even you would think their fish tacos are out of this world.
Liam: Wow. Really?
Wyatt: Yeah. Um, so uh, how you holding up?
Liam: Holding up?
Wyatt: Steffy and finn. Everything that happened with them. Um, I– I know you worry about her.
Liam: Yeah, I do. Um, especially now, given what I just learned.
Bill: What is it? You– you’re trying to tell me something? Well, whatever it is, if you do have a son, do you want me to contact him? Does he know what happened to you?
[Wyatt clears throat]
Wyatt: A depression rehab center?
Liam: Yeah. In monaco. I mean… ridge said that they brought the nanny but I’m still, I’m still concerned.
Wyatt: I thought steffy was doing okay.
Liam: Yeah, well, we all did, ’cause that’s steffy. You know, she wants everyone to think everything is just fine. She doesn’t want anybody to worry. But, um, you know, at some point, she must have realized it was– it was getting to be too much for her and she needed help.
Wyatt: I guess we all know who to blame for this.
Sheila: I told you, li’s death was an accident.
Finn: Oh, just like shooting me was an accident.
Sheila: Yes.
Liam: Nah, you wanted to kill steffy, the mother of my son, the love of my life. You know, it’s you who should be dead, not my real mother. Someone should’ve put a bullet in your head that night. But since they didn’t it’s up to me to take matters into my own hands to make sure justice is served, sheila! Oh!
Sheila: It’s okay. It’s okay.
[Thud]
[Grunting] Age-related macular degeneration may lead to severe vision loss.
Wyatt: Thanks.
Liam: Thank you.
Wyatt: So you think the cops are any closer to catching sheila or no?
[Liam sighs]
Liam: I don’t know– oh, actually, uh, there is one interesting development.
Wyatt: What? They have a credit card charge or did they spot her?
Liam: Oh, no– well, no, nothing cool like that. But there– but there is uh, some new information about the guy who helped sheila escape. Apparently, it– it wasn’t just some random guard. This guy was, like, sheila’s accomplice back in the day.
Wyatt: Really?
Liam: Yeah. Guy’s name is uh, mike guthrie. And, and ridge and brooke knew who he was. They remembered his connection to sheila, like, years ago. And, in fact, they went with baker to question the guy. And then he, you know, denied everything.
Wyatt: Oh, of course. Of course he did. Sure.
Liam: Yeah. I mean, and unfortunately, baker says that, that I guess all– all the evidence is circumstantial so he can’t do anything unless there’s some kind of, like, cctv footage or, or a witness. So there, like, he can’t– there has to be hard evidence. So until then–
Wyatt: He just gets off scot-free.
Liam: Uh, apparently, for now.
Wyatt: And sheila is just still out there, as dangerous as ever?
Liam: If not more.
[Beeping]
Sheila: Why can’t you just let me love you? Take care of you. Why do you have to lash out the way that you– you do. I’m your mother. I just want to love you.
[Banging]
Mike: It’s me! Open up.
Mike: Sheila!
Sheila: I’ve been trying to reach you and you haven’t been answering your cell phone.
Mike: I was questioned by the cops. Ridge and brooke were there, too.
Sheila: What?
Mike: They’re on to me, sheila. I am right in their cross hairs.
Sheila: And you decided to just come straight here? What were you thinking?
Bill: A little something here for you to eat. Okay. Ah, that’s good. Great.
[Knocking] Uh, it– it’s okay. It’s– it’s a doctor friend of mine. You didn’t want to go to the hospital. But you do need some medical attention. It’s okay.
Dr. Armstrong: Hello, bill.
Bill: Hey jordan. Thanks for coming by. Uh, hope I didn’t take you away from anything too important.
Dr. Armstrong: Nah. Just another fundraiser. Did me a favor.
Bill: Well, now you’re doin’ me a favor. This uh, this is the woman I talked to you about.
Dr. Armstrong: Hi. I’m dr. Jordan armstrong. Bill and I go way back. May I? Bill is really concerned about you. Can you tell me what happened? Well, I do see some cuts, abrasions. Did you injure yourself in some kind of an accident?
[Li grunting]
Li: Back off you crazy bitch!
Oh!
– Bedtime!! – Bedtime.
Sheila: How dare you come back here? Do you know the jeopardy that you have put me in?
Mike: No one followed me. I made sure.
Sheila: Right. You’re sure.
Mike: Don’t take that tone with me. I am doing you a favor alerting you to what’s goin’ on here.
Sheila: Do you realize the risk that you’ve just put me in?
Mike: Okay, fine. It was a risk. That doesn’t change the fact that the walls are closing in on both of us. We have gotta act quick if we’re gonna save ourselves.
Liam: You’re not wrong, this place has a good vibe.
Wyatt: Ah! See? I told you.
[Liam laughs]
Liam: Did dad agree? How was dinner with the old man, by the way? Did he spring for the check or did he make you pay? I feel like he made you pay.
Wyatt: He paid, he paid.
Liam: Okay.
Wyatt: Uh, actually, between you and me, I’m a little concerned about him. Well, he was gettin’ all… philosophical and compassionate and– that! I know! That’s not dad, right?
Liam: No.
Wyatt: I just, I don’t know. I– I’m worried about him living up in that big house all by himself.
Dr. Armstrong: I know we keep asking you this. But can you tell us how this happened? Okay. You rest. I’m going to talk with bill for a moment.
Bill: What do you think?
Jordan: She’s definitely been traumatized.
Bill: Well. I figured that out for myself, jordan. What– what I’m asking is, do you think she’s gonna be all right?
Dr. Armstrong: Physically? Yes. She doesn’t appear to have any broken bones or internal injuries. Although I’d rather get her to the hospital, run some tests and be certain.
Bill: It’s not gonna happen. She– she won’t go. That’s why I asked you to come here. What else?
Dr. Armstrong: Well, I did find some tiny shards of glass in her hair.
Bill: Really?
Dr. Armstrong: Like, pieces of a broken windshield?
Bill: So a car accident?
Dr. Armstrong: Well, again, I can’t be certain. But her cuts and abrasions, they’re consistent with that. Yes. At any rate, whatever happened to this woman, it must’ve been one hell of an ordeal. So much so that she’s completely shutting down.
Bill: And that’s why she won’t talk.
Dr. Armstrong: It’s my guess. Now, you said that she didn’t have any id on her, at all?
Bill: No, nothing. And when i gently questioned her about family, I got nothing. Except when I brought up a son, and then she was somewhat responsive.
Dr. Armstrong: Hm. Well, my friend, I commend you for helping this woman. Who knows what might have happened to her if you hadn’T.
Bill: Listen, she– she was so vulnerable and scared, huddled in that alley. I mean, who wouldn’t feel for someone like that? I just wish I knew what her story was ’cause I’m telling you this is not it. This is not who this woman is. Now I can only get so much out of her. I can only push so hard. I wish she would tell me her name. I wish I knew who you are. Hi, I’m denise.
[Alarm blaring]
Mike: We’ve got no time to lose. Any minute now. Do you hear that?
[Siren wails in distance]
Sheila: Hear what?
Mike: That noise outside. It’s a siren.
Sheila: You’re imagining things.
Mike: No. I just heard a siren now.
Sheila: Would you get a grip? You’re not helping the situation.
Mike: You wanna know what’s not helping? You, sheila. Thinkin’ this can go on. Holed up here playin’ doting, loving mama to the, the, the bed ridden, back from the dead son who just so happens to hate your guts.
Sheila: Finn does not hate me.
Mike: Oh, yeah? Well, maybe I’ll ask him. Okay? Finn–
Sheila: No, no, he’s resting mike. Stop.
Mike: Seems to be a little more than just resting. Did you– finn. Ya harpooned him with another syringe, didn’t you?
Sheila: I had to give him another sedative. I had to. I– he knows the truth about li, that she’s dead. He was very upset–
Mike: Whoa, whoa. Back up. Only way finn could’ve learned that is from you.
Sheila: I felt finn deserved to know the truth. So I told him– I told him how I chased li in my car and she lost control and you know the rest.
[Mike scoffs]
Mike: More importantly, so does finn now.
Sheila: I have never seen my baby more enraged. I needed– I needed to do something to calm him down, didn’t I?
Mike: Jeez-louise, sheila. This whole situation is getting way out of hand. You gotta see that.
Sheila: Okay, things aren’t going the way that I had planned but we’re just gonna make the best of it.
Mike: Well, maybe you will, but when the cops come bustin’ through that door, I’m not gonna be here. No freakin’ way does this guy wind up in the slammer.
Sheila: Don’t you dare bring the police to my doorstep, michael. I swear, I–
[Door slams]
Finn: The police are on to you, sheila. It’s only a matter of time before you’re caught. You’re finally going to pay for everything that you’ve done to me, steffy and my mother.
[Phone ringing]
Bill: Uh, it’s– it’s my son. I– I need to take this.
[Phone ringing] Hey, liam, what’s– what’s goin’ on?
Liam: Hey, yourself. Good time to talk?
Bill: No, actually, it’s, it’s not. I have someone here.
Liam: Oh, yeah. Who? Dad… everything okay?
Bill: Well, you– you know that wyatt and I, we– we had dinner earlier. Right?
Liam: Yeah, no, I know. I’m– I’m here with wyatt right now. Say, ‘hi.’
Wyatt: Hey, hey, dad. Are you all right? Yeah, I’m– I’m fine. But the woman I found in the alley after you and i had dinner isn’T.
Wyatt & liam: What?
Bill: Tried to help her, but she really wasn’t responsive.
Wyatt: Well, did you call an ambulance?
Bill: She refused to go to the hospital. Liam: Okay– well then, what– what did you do?
Bill: Um… well, i brought her home with me.
Liam: So is it– that’s who you’re with right now? The woman from the alley?
Bill: Yeah. Uh, i called a doctor friend of mine. I wanted him to examine her. Look, it’s clear that she has been through something extremely traumatic.
>>Wyatt: Okay…
Liam: You were not kidding.
Wyatt: Yeah.
Liam: Um, okay. Yeah. Uh, you know, just um, uh, be careful. You never know what you’re getting into.
Bill: Yeah. Don’t– don’t worry about it. I’m fine. Anyway, enough about that. I want you to tell me about steffy. How’s she doing?
Liam: Oh, uh yeah. Well, I’ll– I’ll spare you the details now but um, she’s uh– [Mouths “steffy”] She’s– she’s struggling.
Bill: Well, of course she’s struggling, liam. She lost finn. He was everything to her. She loved finn so much. Um, listen guys. I– I gotta go. What– what is it? What– what’s upsetting you? Let– let me help you.
Li: You’re a fighter.
Keep fighting.
Bill: Is it your family? Is there someone you love? Is… is it your son?
Finn: You will never
lose me.
Bill: If it’s your son, you– you just have to tell me something about him. Where– where is he? Is he– is he worried about you? Does he have any idea what happened? I– I will bring him to you.
[Li struggles to talk]
Bill: You have to tell me who he is. What is your son’s name?
Li: In…
