Kat went to see Ted at his hotel. She wanted him to tell her about his affair. He told her about how funny Leslie used to be. It was something he missed with Nicole after she had the miscarriages. He called himself selfish for what he did. Ted missed the love he used to get from Nicole and confuses Leslie’s attention for love. Kat asked him if he would have left her mother if she didn’t get pregnant. Ted didn’t confirm or deny her question. Nicole’s pregnancy inspires emotions in him that led him back to her. Kat surprised him when she wondered why he didn’t strap up when he was with Leslie. Ted thought Leslie was on birth control pills. Kat informed him that their relationship wouldn’t be fixed with one conversation. She hugged him, and he was surprised by that. Leslie went to see Bill at his office. She wanted answers about the cease and desist order that he sent her saying that she waited over two decades to tell everyone about his threats. He promised that everyone would side with him over her after everything she’s done. Leslie didn’t seem worried. She wanted him to do his worst to her because she was going to do hers too. After Leslie left, Bill wanted Ted to come to his office. Ted arrived at Bill’s office. Bill warned him to get proactive with Leslie. He warned him that she is unhinged. Avoiding her wouldn’t be an option for long. 

Naomi went to see her father. She had a feeling what he was talking about when she saw Ted in his office. Naomi was cordial to Ted, but she didn’t believe that her father didn’t threaten Leslie. Eva talked to Andre about the progress she made with Martin and Ted. She promised that Nicole was safe from her.  Eva wanted to be part of Ted’s life. She wasn’t looking for trouble. Eva was happy to see a text from Leslie to meet her at Ophrey Gene. Later Eva met with Leslie. She wanted Eva to use her relationship with Ted to help her get in good with him. She didn’t hide her disappointment when she thought her mother wanted to spend time with her. Leslie forgot it was Eva’s birthday after everything that’s happened. Eva refused to help her. She told her mother that she shouldn’t worry about the cease and desist order because it could have been worse. Kat and Chelsea met up. She told Chelsea that Leslie used her father from the beginning. Kat thought she lied about birth control. She put it together that Leslie and Eva took advantage of Laura’s accident. Kat believed they had something to do with the accident. Chelsea didn’t think they would hire a hitman to take care of Laura. Kat thought Eva ran her off the road. Later Kat went back to see her father. She wanted to warn him about her theory about Leslie and Eva, but he wasn’t there. Leslie showed up and had a conversation with Kat. She didn’t feel guilty about what happened. Nicole was collateral damage in her mission to expose Ted. Kat accused her of running Laura off the road. Leslie agreed that what happened to Laura wasn’t a coincidence. She implied that Eva was the one who ran her off the road. Leslie didn’t think Kat could do anything without proof. Kat was recording their conversation.

Anita and Vernon talked about her reunion with The Articulettes. She had reservations about the reunion after the way she treated the other members. Vernon wanted her to do the reunion, but she didn’t want to. When Vernon showed Anita one of her albums, she said her voice was gone. He told her that he pushed for the reunion so she could let go of the guilt she felt about what happened. Anita said he was the man for her and could make her shine. They talked about how beautiful their lives were. She said she was scared when he brought up the reunion because it reminded her of the way she used to be. While they were talking, Anita agreed to do the reunion. When Anita was alone, she called one of the members of the group who ended up hanging up on her. Bill had a spasm and tried to hide it when Hayley came in his office. While he was answering phone calls, Hayley got on top of him and brought up their honeymoon. He said he would take her on the honeymoon, but he had to fill in for Mike. She said she knew he would say that, so she brought the honeymoon to him. They made out on the desk. After they made love, he had spasms in his hand but hid it.

Andre went to see Nicole to check on her. Nicole was upset with him. Dani showed up and defended Andre. She told Nicole that she should understand why Andre didn’t saying anything about Ted’s affair and wondered what she would tell a patient in her situation. Nicole realized Andre was in a bad position. Andre wanted to give them their space, but Nicole told him to stay. She let him know how much he means to her, but she didn’t know who to trust. Nicole said Ted put him in a bad position. She told Andre that he was family and that didn’t change. Andre told her she didn’t have to explain anything to him. While they were hugging, Dani mouthed for him to meet her later. When Andre left, Nicole asked Dani what was going on between her and Andre. Dani said nothing was going on. She said she wasn’t looking for a relationship. Dani said having Bill out of her life was a good thing and enjoyed being alone. Nicole said she looked forward to feeling that way, but she needed to be alone. Dani suggested they do something fun. Later on, Dani and Andre made love. When they finished making love, they talked about Nicole being on to them. Eva saw Kat and wanted to work things out. Kat wasn’t interested in working things out with her. Eva said she tried and reminded her that they would be half-sisters forever. Martin showed up and invited Kat over. Kat said she needed it after the drama with Eva and Leslie. He suggested that they invite Eva to which Kat wasn’t interested. Martin said the kids needed to get to know Eva. Kat didn’t care and walked away. Eva went to Martin and said she hoped she didn’t make things weird between him and Kat. Martin suggested they get to know each other and invited her over. When Martin brought Eva to the house, Samantha was upset that she was there. Eva offered to leave, but Martin wanted her to stay. He gathered everyone together and said Eva being in the family wasn’t smooth, but she’s family. While he was talking, he said he was going to run for president but wanted to focus on his family. Kat went to see Nicole and talked to her about Eva.

Martin had the nightmare again. Someone in his dream asked to see the color of his money. He woke up before he could see who it was. Nicole talked to Dani about grieving her relationship. Dani told he’d that she and their mother probably sent Ted and Eva to the hospital with emotional wounds. Nicole didn’t need anyone defending her. Dani reminded her that the Dupree family doesn’t hide. They fake it until they make it. Dani wanted her to go out. Ted and Eva went out for breakfast. She thought they would be more welcomed at the hotel. He didn’t want to do that because they deserved to be there. Anastasia (a gossip in town) saw them together and gave them the evil eye. Eva felt uncomfortable with her watching them. Ted told her that people would have to get used to seeing them together. He planned to set Eva up as a hairstylist. Ted thought she might be able to get another personal assistant job. Dani brought Nicole to the club. She told her to hold her head high. They spotted Ted and Eva at the club. Ted was about to talk to Nicole, but Vanessa stopped him. She tried to take Nicole’s mind off of Ted by talking to her about Doug and his self-destructive behavior. Dani lectured Ted about his actions. He said he was taking her advice and stepping up for his daughter. Dani had a message for Eva. She let her know that she would never be a Dupree. Dani went to Nicole and Vanessa’s table. Anastasia arrived at the table. She thought betrayed women should unite. After Anastasia left, Nicole wanted to run off, but Dani and Vanessa convinced her to stay. 

Anastasia went to Ted and Eva’s table and made a snide comment to her. Eva wanted to leave so she left the table. Anastasia apologized to Ted for what she said to Eva. Nicole, Dani and Vanessa drank to Eva walking out of the club. Ted arrived at their table. He said there was no excuse for what he did to her. Ted planned to be the man who learned from his mistakes. He was determined to get Nicole back within a year. After he left, Nicole thanked Dani for talking her into going out. Leslie saw Jan at Orphey Gene. Jan wouldn’t let sit with her. She didn’t like the way she used her and Mona. Jan didn’t like how she manipulated her daughter. Leslie explained what happened with Ted and how he wanted her to get an abortion. Jan felt sorry for her at first. She wouldn’t have used her daughter the way Leslie did. Jan told her that she acted out of hate and couldn’t sit with her. After her conversation with Jan, Eva arrived at Leslie’s table. They went back and forth about Eva’s betrayal. She begged her to let her again. Leslie wouldn’t let her come home. She reminded Eva about what she did. Eva ran off. Jan couldn’t believe the way she treated Eva like that. Leslie yelled at Jan. She had more plans up her sleeve. Eva ran into Ted and told him what happened with her mother.

Dani went to Ted’s to rip into him for what he did to Nicole. Ted let her know that he didn’t need her to remind him that he messed up. Dani yelled at him for keeping his affair a secret and for letting Leslie ruin Nicole’s life. Ted understood that it was personal for Dani since Bill cheated on her, but he wasn’t Bill. Dani didn’t care about that. She asked him how his kids were doing. He said Martin ripped into him. Ted said he didn’t know why he did what he did to Nicole. When he brought up Nicole’s fertility issues, Dani was appalled. He said his affair was a mistake, but he loved Nicole. When he threw Dani out, Anita was at the door. Anita said she had some things to say to him. Ted thought she wanted to talk about Nicole and the kids. He said he regret what he did and didn’t cheat since. While he was talking, he said he wouldn’t be her punching bag. Anita said he was a coward who wasn’t good enough to be with a Dupree woman. She said she was grateful that Martin was like his grandfather. Anita said Leslie was showing off the DNA test which was a surprise to Ted. Anita advised him to handle things before he tried to make things right with Nicole. Dani and Anita ended up leaving. Kat talked to Martin about Eva getting closer to Tomas. Martin said it was most likely innocent. Kat thought he might have been right. She said she had hate towards men now. Martin said he felt the same way after he talked to their father. They couldn’t believe their father got two women pregnant at once. Martin reminded Kat that Eva was their sister, so they had to deal with her. Kat said she wanted Eva ran out of town. Martin said Eva was manipulated and he felt sorry for her. He said he was going to see their mother. Kat followed him.

At the bar, Joey wanted Vanessa to open up to him. Vanessa talked to him about Nicole and Ted’s marriage. She said she felt like a hypocrite since she was cheating on Doug. Joey said she was mourning her past. He said he knew her better than Doug and was interested in her, so she didn’t need to impress him. When he invited her to come over, she turned him down. Leslie told Nicole that she didn’t mean to hurt her. Nicole didn’t believe her and reminded her of the way she came into her life. She asked Leslie why she didn’t say something sooner. Nicole wondered why she had to humiliate her. Leslie couldn’t explain her actions. Nicole ripped into Leslie for treating her child like garbage. Leslie stood by the way she treated Eva. She showed Nicole the DNA test so she could see that Eva was Ted’s. Nicole wanted Leslie to leave her and her family alone. Leslie said Nicole was a nice person and was sorry for what she did. Nicole didn’t believe her and threw her out. When Leslie broke down and cried, Nicole told her to keep her tears. Leslie said she wanted to get back at Ted. Mona saw Eva at the casino and ripped into her for what she did. Eva said she felt guilty about what happened. Mona said she put her job on the line by recommending her for Nicole’s assistant. Eva said Nicole wouldn’t use that against her. She gave Mona the key and told her that she felt like she was going to lose everything. Doug showed up at the casino. Randy told Doug that he shouldn’t be there. He suggested that Doug walk out of the casino. Doug lied and said he could walk away from gambling and left with Randy. Later on, Doug went back to the casino. Mona went to see Leslie and yelled at her for what she did. When Mona left, Ted showed up and warned Leslie to stay away from his family. He warned her that she would have to deal with him if she did anything to the Duprees. Leslie thought Nicole told him she was at the house. Ted said he was there because Anita and Dani came to see him and kicked him out of the family. He said she ruined his life. Leslie said she didn’t want to ruin his life because she was still in love with him. Ted said she didn’t know what love was. He said he was going to get his daughter an apartment, but he didn’t care about Leslie. Ted said she was a psycho and left. Martin and Kat went to see Nicole. When the subject of Eva came up, she told the kids that the results were real. Martin thought it was a lot to take having a sister. Anita and Dani saw Eva at the club. Dani went over to Eva and invited her to go to their table. They told Eva that she’s resourceful. Dani said she knew Ted was getting her an apartment. Anita said she was sorry that she didn’t getting parented the way she should have. She said she hoped Ted stood by her side. Eva said she was thankful for him. Anita said she hurt Nicole so she would never be a part of the Dupree family.

Dani demanded answers from Bill about what he did for Ted. She told him that it was her family. Bill thought he was doing the right thing. Dani told Bill about everything Ted did to Nicole and couldn’t believe his role in the plan. Bill didn’t feel he did anything wrong. Dani wanted to know what else he did to help her family. She and Bill continued to argue about what he did for her family. Bill told her to take it up with her parents if she wanted answers about what he did for the family. Vernon tried to make Nicole feel better. She said she felt numb from everything that happened. He thought it was good that she was feeling numb right now. Vernon assured her that her family had her back. Andre went to see Ted. Ted felt like he was the only person who would want to see him. Andre asked him how things were going at the hospital. He told him that was the only thing he didn’t mess up. Andre wondered if there was anything he could do for him. Ted wanted him to put a good word in for him with Nicole. Nicole thought Ted was the closest person she would find like her father. She couldn’t believe she was so blind when it concerned Ted. Anita didn’t want her to put herself down for Ted. The only thing she did was love her husband. Nicole felt like being with her parents made her feel secure and loved. Bill told Dani that everything that happened has already been done. She warned him to stay out of her family’s business. He didn’t have a problem with that and that’s why he left her. Dani couldn’t believe that she ever loved someone like him. She stormed out of his place. Hayley wanted to know if Bill really meant it when he said he was finished with the Duprees.

Andre told Ted that he believed that he and Nicole would get back together. Ted wasn’t sure about that. Andre left and there was a knock at the door. Martin was the one at the door. Tomas and Eva showed up at the bar. He wanted to talk to her, but she didn’t think she would be good company. Tomas didn’t think she was capable of what she did. Eva felt like his comments hurt more than anyone else’s. Andre went to see Nicole. He hated what she was going through. He let it slip that he knew about Ted’s affair. Andre admitted that Ted talked to him about the affair. Nicole couldn’t believe that he knew and didn’t say anything. Martin confronted Ted about what he did to his mother. He said that his lies destroyed his mother. Martin didn’t know who he could forgive when he didn’t know who he was. He thought Ted was the best. Andre told Nicole that he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He begged her to forgive him. Nicole didn’t blame him for what happened. He said that Ted regretted what he did and never wanted to hurt her. Nicole didn’t know what to do with that information. Tomas thought he knew Eva, but he was wrong. Eva didn’t want to stay with him. She wanted to leave, but he wanted her to stay. Bill met with Smitty because he knew he wanted to congratulate him for pursuing his career. He realized that Smitty could use a friend. Bill wanted Smitty to remind Martin that they were on the same team. Martin wanted answers from Ted. Ted assured Martin that he loved Nicole. He apologized to him. Ted was determined to get his family back. Eva knew she was wrong to do what she did. Tomas grabbed Eva’s hand when she started crying. Kat walked back into the bar and saw him holding Eva’s hand. Dani went to see Ted. She planned to read him the riot act for what he did to her sister. Leslie went to Nicole’s house to talk to her.

Leslie dreamed about Ted coming to her place and thanking her for telling Nicole the truth about their relationship. Hayley and Bill talked about his role in saving Ted’s marriage. Ted went to Bill’s place to confront him. Anita and Vernon discussed the way Bill and Ted treated their daughters. They were talking about what Bill did for the family, but Chelsea interrupted them before they talked about what he did for them. Ted wanted to know why Bill didn’t tell him that he had a child. Eva was in Nicole’s office and wanted to talk to her. Nicole didn’t blame her for Ted’s affair. Eva reminded her that she’s the product of the affair. She tried to apologize, but Dani showed up. Dani demanded that Eva get out. Eva left the house. Nicole let Dani know that she had it under control. Dani didn’t agree with her since she allowed Eva in her house. Kat talked to Tomas about Eva and Leslie. She had no intention of getting to know Eva. Chelsea couldn’t believe her father was involved in Ted’s situation. She told Anita and Vernon that she wanted to know what else he did. Hayley tried to defend Bill to Ted. Ted wanted answers for why he didn’t tell him that he had a baby. Bill wondered why Ted didn’t tell him that Leslie was in town. Ted just wanted his wife back. Dani gave Nicole things to help her feel better. Nicole hoped that everything was a mistake and that it wasn’t true. Dani let her know that Eva had a birth certificate. Eva showed up at Leslie’s place. Tomas told Kat that it wasn’t Eva’s fault that her father cheated. He felt like Kat was mad at the wrong person. Kat wondered who she should be mad at, and he told her that she should be mad at her father. Bill wanted to take Ted down a peg at one point. He said he didn’t have to help him years ago, but he did. Ted thought things would have been different if he told her the truth years ago. Bill wasn’t sure that was true. He informed Ted that he earned some time in the dog house. Bill thought he might have a chance to get back in Nicole’s good graces.

Dani wanted to go after everyone involved with hurting Nicole. She reminded Nicole that Ted loved her. Dani told her about the things he did to show that he loved her. Nicole didn’t want to hear her defend Ted. Dani knew she was right. Leslie wanted to know what was in Eva’s box. She thought that Nicole fired her. Leslie demanded to know why Eva turned on her. She couldn’t believe that Eva put Ted above her. Leslie said that Ted didn’t care about her. Eva told her that he didn’t care because he didn’t know she existed. She yelled that it was Leslie’s fault. Leslie was trying to protect her because she didn’t want to tell her that he wanted her to have an abortion. Eva demanded to know why she didn’t tell her the truth. She noticed the boxes on the floor. Leslie told her that she was kicking her out because she refused to stay with someone she didn’t trust. Eva let her know that she slept in her car. Leslie told her to stay with her father since he needs family. Eva took one last look at her mother and walked out the door. She cried while she walked away. Ted told Bill and Hayley he would do anything to make his marriage work. He walked out of their house. Hayley realized that Bill missed the Duprees paying him to take care of their problems. He didn’t deny missing it. Dani wondered if there would ever be a time where she would forgive Ted and get back together. Nicole didn’t think she would ever feel that way. She was too upset to do anything. Dani thought she should wait until she was ready to move on. Eva went to see Ted because she didn’t have anywhere else to go. He wanted to know why she didn’t stay with her mother. She told her that she kicked her out for defending him and Nicole. He felt like it was too little too late. Ted wanted to know what she wanted from him. She was hoping that he would want her in his life. Kat told Tomas that she couldn’t forgive her father for what he did to her mother. She refused to forgive Eva for her role in destroying her parents’ marriage. Kat wanted him to end his friendship with Eva. Dani showed up at Bill’s place to confront him for what he did for Ted. Eva continued to tell Ted what she thought she knew about him. He knew why she wanted to get revenge on him but why did she do that to Nicole. If he were a better man, he would still have Nicole. Eva reminded him that she wouldn’t be born. Ted planned to give her a room and then he would get an apartment for her.

The Duprees were appalled that Leslie showed up at the house. They wanted her out of the house. When Martin wanted the police called, Leslie talked about what she used to call Ted. Leslie said they weren’t going to call the police because the neighbors would talk. Anita said Leslie should be worried about what she had to say. Kat told Eva that she was right about her and no one believed her. Eva wondered what made her suspicious. Kat said she tried too hard. Nicole told Ted she wanted the man who loved her. Ted said he was there. Nicole said that was a lie. She said she didn’t know how they got there. Nicole said he wasn’t the man she married. She reminded him about his child and how Leslie destroyed them. Nicole said he didn’t spare her from heartache. Anita and Martin grilled Leslie about what she wanted from them. Martin warned Leslie that she messed with the wrong family and told her to leave. He ripped into Leslie before he decided to go home. The Duprees were wondering what Leslie wanted. Leslie said she wanted understanding. Nicole told Ted that things would have been different if she knew about his affair years ago. Ted tried to justify his affair, but Nicole didn’t care. She said while she was hurting, he was in another woman’s bed. Nicole said he knew what Leslie could do, and he didn’t say anything. Ted said he would regret that. Nicole said none of it was real. She said she was doing everything she could to give him babies. Ted said he regretted what he did. Nicole ripped into Ted for choosing Leslie. She said he could have spared her the humiliation she went through.

Kat told Eva that she set up the anniversary party and helped her mother destroy her parents. Eva said that Ted was her father. She gave Kat the DNA test she got when she was at the house. Kat said she must have loved what Leslie did. Eva said she tried to get her parents out of there, but it didn’t work. Kat yelled at Eva for expecting forgiveness just because she tried to stop her mother. Eva said she loved Kat’s parents. Kat told Eva that she and her mother were disgusting. Leslie apologized to the Duprees but said she deserved to be treated with respect. She gave them proof that Eva was Ted’s daughter. Leslie said Kat and Eva were practically twins. She said one daughter had everything while the other one was kicked in the teeth. Anita wanted to know what Leslie wanted. Leslie said she wanted Eva to be treated with respect. Ted told Nicole that Leslie wanted money and played them. Nicole told him not to blame Leslie when he was the one who lied. She was furious that he took her son to see the woman he was sleeping with. Nicole was upset that he went to Bill to fix what he did. Ted said he would have lost everything. Nicole said he had everything, but it wasn’t perfect enough. She wanted to know what his end game was if she lost the child. Ted said Nicole was his endgame. Nicole confronted him about denying Eva being his daughter when he knew it was true. When Martin was home, he read a book that his father gave him. He knocked the books off the shelves. Smitty wanted Martin to talk to him. Martin told Smitty that Leslie ruined his mother’s life. Eva told Kat that her mother lied to her about her father. She said she grew up thinking that her father didn’t want her so she didn’t care what happened to him. Eva said when she met Ted, she was surprised that he was a good guy. Kat wasn’t fazed by what she said about Ted. She said Ted was a monster who destroyed her mother. Eva told Kat that she was lucky to have a relationship with Ted and warned her not to let it ruin what they have. Nicole asked Ted if there were any other women, but she didn’t want an answer because she wouldn’t believe him. Ted said there weren’t any others. Leslie told the Duprees that she didn’t expect sympathy to which she didn’t get anything. She told the Duprees not to treat Eva any differently because of her actions. When the Duprees didn’t care about Eva being a part of Ted’s life, Leslie told them to prove that they are the good people they claim to be. When Leslie was about to leave, Anita stopped her to ask her a question. She said Leslie put her daughter through it just to serve her own agenda. Anita said she wasn’t a real mother because a real mother would have done better. She said Leslie didn’t care about her daughter. Anita wanted to know what she wanted to prove. She warned Leslie that she wasn’t going to get what she wanted. Nicole told Ted that he was leaving the house. Ted wondered for how long. Nicole said day by day. Kat reminded Eva of the way she acted when she planted the camera on her. When Kat said she was like her mother, Eva told her to stop treating her like that. Kat said Eva’s reaction was proof that she was sinister and said she was dead to her before she left. Ted told Nicole that staying with her was the only way they survived. Nicole said if he didn’t leave, it would be the last thing he did. Ted said he would never leave Nicole. He said he was staying at a hotel. When Leslie left, the Duprees talked about what happened. Eva went home and found the door locked. She called out to Leslie, but she ignored her.

Leslie approached Ted at the anniversary party. Eva begged her not to say anything to him. Ted reminded her that she was supposed to leave town. Leslie wondered if anyone had smelling salt or cardiac paddles. She felt like Nicole was going to need them. Leslie wondered if she should tell Nicole who she was. Eva begged the guests to help. She told them that she wasn’t well and locked her in the closet. Smitty and Martin grabbed Leslie, but Nicole told them to let her go. Mona admitted that Leslie recommended Eva for the job. She didn’t know that Leslie had an ulterior motive. Naomi arrived at the party late. Nicole told Ted that Leslie was Sherry and not Dana. Leslie told her that Ted knew who she was. Kat called Leslie insane. She announced that Leslie said her name was Anna. Kat told everyone that Leslie was Eva’s mother. Eva cried and apologized to Nicole. She said she tried to stop Leslie. Carlton said that he let Eva out of the closet. Hayley was surprised that Bill was missing Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Bill said that Ted wasn’t any better than the rest of the family. Hayley didn’t believe that and wanted to know more. Bill didn’t say anything at first. She questioned him about what he meant and realized that Ted cheated. Vernon wanted to get Leslie the help she needed. He wanted everyone but his family to leave the room. Leslie mocked him while he asked the guests to leave. She wanted her lover to come clean to everyone. Nicole cried by her mother’s side after she heard Leslie’s comment. Anita shot daggers at Leslie with her eyes.

Kat wanted Eva to stop the mess that Leslie started. Leslie told her that Eva wasn’t born when it started. She asked Martin if he remembered the server who gave him brownies when he was a kid. Martin looked to Ted for answers. Ted ordered her to leave his family out of it. Leslie told everyone that Ted wasn’t excited when she told him that she was pregnant. Nicole almost fainted when she heard the news. Dani wanted to make sure that she was okay. Leslie said that she was pregnant, but Ted told her to get an abortion and leave town. She said she was crushed when he wanted her to get an abortion. Leslie announced to everyone that Ted called Bill to offer her money to get the abortion and leave town. If she didn’t take the offer, her child wouldn’t be safe. Someone would kidnap her baby. Eva started crying as Leslie told Ted that Bill planned to sell her baby on the black market. Ted denied what Leslie said. Leslie bought what Bill said and gave in to his threat. She announced that she went to Chicago and secretly had the baby. Ted was shocked when he found out that Kat was his daughter. Eva was surprised when she found out that Leslie agreed to have the abortion. She told Ted that Leslie made her believe that he didn’t want her. Kat told everyone not to believe what Eva and Leslie were saying. Ted wanted to talk everything out. Nicole snapped and ran out of the room. Kat followed her mother out of the room. Vernon asked Ted what he was supposed to do with what happened. Ted went after Nicole. Leslie told Eva that she made the wrong choice. Eva cried while Leslie walked away. Mona apologized to Vernon and Anita. They didn’t blame her. Ted was responsible for what happened. Anita wanted Dani to get the family together so they could make a plan. Ted went home, and Kat told him to leave her mother alone. Nicole believed what Leslie had to say. Ted couldn’t deny it so Kat got upset. She defended him. Ted didn’t know how much of Leslie’s story was true. He didn’t know if Leslie had a baby, but it could be the truth. Ted said he was selfish, but it was a long time ago. The Duprees talked about what happened with Ted and Leslie. They wondered if he really did if Eva was his kid. Chelsea reminded everyone that Kat knew the truth about Eva all along. Leslie showed up at the Dupree mansion and shocked everyone. Ted waited for Nicole to come out of the shower and apologized to her. Nicole couldn’t feel anything. Her world stopped at the party. Kat approached Eva. Eva told her that she was right all along. She gave Kat DNA test papers.

Eva thought about Ted welcoming her into his family. Leslie was dressed as a server. She told Eva that she was ready for the party and thought it would be great when Ted finds out that his daughter was the cause of his destruction. Eva wasn’t happy to hear that and felt bad about going through with the plan. She didn’t hate the Duprees the way Leslie did. Leslie ordered her to do what she was supposed to do. Eva reluctantly agreed to go through with the plan. She questioned if they had to publicly expose Ted. Leslie told her that they had to do it because Ted treated them like dirt under his shoe. She was tired of living in the shadow of their perfect lives. Eva started crying while Leslie was talking to her. While Eva was crying, Leslie reminded about the things they were cheated out of in life. Eva let her know that the plan felt wrong. Her mother told her to think of it as a roller coaster ride, but Eva wanted to get off. Ted and Nicole’s marriage would be destroyed. Leslie didn’t care about that because he was gaining a daughter. Anita, Vernon and Kat got ready for Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Kat told her grandparents that her speech will make her father. Vernon thought Ted would cry about the speech. Anita felt like he was sentimental like Vernon. They talked about how much they cared about Ted. The discussion turned to Tomas. They wanted to make sure he was right for her. She told them that he asked Tomas for help with something that made her uncomfortable. Kat refused to do it, and he apologized to her. She wanted to have the type of relationship that her parents had. Once Vernon met Ted, he knew he would marry his daughter. Anita thought he was the son they never had. Leslie and Eva arrived at the club. She took Eva to a closet. Leslie wanted to change from her server uniform into an evening gown. Leslie wanted Eva to text her when the time was right. There was no lock on the door on the inside so she gave Eva the keys. Leslie changed the plan. She wanted Eva to come get her. Mona was outside of the closet and saw Eva. Leslie heard them while they were talking about her. Eva walked off and joined the rest of the people for the party.

Chelsea recorded the event for social media. She talked to Vernon and Anita about the secret to a happy marriage. Andre took pictures of everyone at the party. Eva and Mona talked about how great Ted and Nicole were together. Kat told Chelsea that she had a bad feeling about Eva’s mother. She told her that Leslie looked like a woman she met named Anna. Kat was afraid she was going to be at the party. Dani hugged Nicole and congratulated her. Nicole remembered Dani telling her to prioritize Ted or she would lose him. Kat caught Eva trying to get into the closet at the club. Eva lied and said they needed more linen for the tables. Kat basically warned her to behave herself at the party. Eva opened the door and noticed that Leslie wasn’t in the closet. Ted told Nicole that he wanted to be wherever she was. He kissed her while Leslie eavesdropped on them. Dani spotted Eva and asked if she ever considered modeling. Eva managed to get away from her so she could find her mother. Kat talked to Mona about Leslie. She learned that Mona just met Leslie. Ted and Nicole found Eva and made her an offer. They wanted her to become a medical assistant. Once she graduated, she would work for Ted. Eva was touched by the offer. Later Eva found her mother and told her the plan was off. She wanted the truth to come out, but she didn’t want to humiliate Ted and Nicole. The Richardsons were good people. Eva begged Leslie to let her handle things her way. Leslie locked Eva in the closet and walked away. Eva screamed for her to let her out. Kat told Chelsea that Anna and Leslie were the same person. She wanted to tell her parents that Eva was involved in Leslie’s plan. Eva yelled for help until Carlton heard her and opened the door. Ted thanked Andre for his help with getting his past stray out. He was right to keep his secret in the past. Ted hoped the good things he did outweighed the bad. Ted made a speech about Nicole. He felt the same way he did when he first met her. Ted thanked everyone and asked Eva to come up to him. Ted and Nicole looked around for Eva. Eva had to get to Ted and Nicole before it was too late. Kat tried to stop Eva from going to the party. Eva went to Ted and Nicole and wanted them to leave. They were confused by her actions. Eva wanted them to trust her, but it was too late. Leslie walked in the room and said they couldn’t leave. Ted wasn’t happy, and Nicole was confused. Ted wanted Leslie to go, but she wouldn’t leave. He told her that she was supposed to leave town. Eva pleaded with Leslie not to say anything. Nicole wanted to get Leslie some help. Leslie felt like she would need the help. Ted wanted Leslie to go and that made Nicole more confused. Leslie wondered if Ted was going to tell Nicole what happened or would she do it.

At the club, Anita asked Vernon what he was up to. He said she had her chance to have a comeback. She told him her voice has aged to which he said like fine wine. Anita said she didn’t make any decisions yet, but she loved being part of a group. She said she would consider getting back together with the group but the break up wasn’t amicable. Anita didn’t like how she treated Tracy and Sharon. Chelsea went to see Martin while he was having a nightmare. She needed his advice on threesomes. Martin told her he and Smitty were monogamous. Chelsea talked to him about her threesome with Craig and Allison. She said it felt as if Craig felt left out. Martin said straight men liked that sort of thing. Chelsea wondered what it would have been like to be alone with Allison. She talked to him about being with women before, but didn’t want to complicate things. Martin assured her that it would be okay. Later on, Martin and Vernon went to the diner. The told Vernon about his nightmare. Martin said he thought he had the nightmare because of seeing Bill. He said he would do anything he could to stop having the nightmares. Vernon wanted to talk to someone about it but didn’t want to bother Nicole with it. He said there was too much at stake. Martin said he didn’t like the idea of keeping secrets from Smitty, but he brought it on himself.

Derek got his things settled in Ashley’s apartment. They talked about needing more space. While they were getting settled, Jan showed up. She tried to get them to compromise instead of arguing. Chelsea met with Allison and told her that she kept thinking about her. She told Allison that she liked being with her without Craig. Allison said she liked variety to which Chelsea said they should meet one on one. While they were talking, they admitted to their feelings for each other. Leslie told Eva that she saw Vernon and Martin at the club. Eva wanted to know why she was bothering them. Leslie said she lost her virginity to Anita’s music. Eva told her she was playing with fire. Leslie said they all had to pay in cash. She told Eva that she wanted to move into a bigger place. They talked before Eva left to take care of a client. Leslie flashed back to her old life. When her flashback was over, she said she was supposed to be a rich wife and not the life Ted gave her. She wanted to make Ted pay by airing his dirt in public.

During their conversation, they realized that Doug always craved winning. He loved the adrenaline and validation. It’s similar to the feeling he gets from being a surgeon. Doug admitted that he has a big debt, and it took a toll on his marriage. Nicole suggested he join a support group. He wasn’t sure about that because he thought someone might recognize him. Vanessa was upset that Diego was icing her out. He didn’t think she had a right to be upset when he rarely saw her. 

Bill spotted Naomi and Martin at the country club. They weren’t in the mood to talk to him since he broke Dani’s heart. Martin let Bill know that their time as family was done. Bill reminded Martin that it would be beneficial for them to be on good terms if he intended to run for president. Doug had a confession for Vanessa. He admitted that he was lying to her. Doug had a confession for Vanessa. He admitted that he was lying to her. Doug didn’t tell her about his addiction. He told her how he felt after their spontaneous hotel sex. The moment made him think about when they were a stronger couple. Tomas joined Bill at his table at the club. He wanted to talk about the review boards’ demands of the firm. Kat was determined to catch Eva in a lie. She wanted Tomas to help her catch Eva. He thought she might be overreacting. She told him that she met her surrogate mother Anna. Tomas told her what Eva said to him and the light bulb went off for her. Kat found out that Eva’s surrogate’s mother’s name was actually Leslie. He felt bad for telling Kat what Eva said to him. Tomas didn’t want to cause more friction between her and Eva. Kat was happy that her suspicions were right. Nicole went to see Laura at the hospital. She brought her flowers and found out that someone else gave her flowers. Laura told her that Eva sent them, and she relaxed. Nicole didn’t think Eva would do something behind her back. Eva and Leslie argued about how to handle Ted and Nicole’s relationship. They accused each other of lying. Leslie was starting to doubt Eva’s commitment to their plan. She felt like Eva’s loyalty was getting twisted. Leslie did her best to convince her that she didn’t run Laura off the road. 

Nicole assured Laura that Eva wasn’t going to take her job. She and Ted considered her family. Nicole was concerned about the spike in Laura’s potassium level which caused her to have a heart attack. Nicole wondered how it happened. Kat surprised Eva at home. She told Eva that she was feeling threatened by her bond with her parents. Kat wondered if they could be friends. Eva grabbed her phone so Kat started looking around. She took an incriminating picture. Leslie showed up while she was taking the picture. Kat recognized Leslie, and she started putting things together. After Doug and Vanessa made love, he wanted to know why she had the look in her eyes. She didn’t want to tell him about Joey so she said it was about work. They went their separate ways later on. Doug tested himself to see if he could beat his gambling addiction. Vanessa planned on meeting someone at Uptown. Joey approached her and told her that he owned the escort service that she uses. Hayley gave Bill bad news. She informed him that she’s not pregnant after all. Bill wasn’t happy or upset about the news. He wasn’t sure how he was supposed to react to her news. Hayley let him know that it was okay if he felt relieved by the news. Bill was fine with spending his life having her to himself. Leslie told Nicole that their conversation on the roof had a profound effect on her. She knows what she wants to do with her life. Nicole asked what she wanted to do. Leslie said she knew what she wanted to do with her life and how she was going to get it. While Eva was talking to Ted, she spotted Leslie talking to Nicole. She tried to keep Ted from seeing them together. When Nicole was finished talking to Leslie, she was joined by Ted and Eva. Nicole loved how Ted was concerned about the event. After Eva left, Nicole thought Ted was planning something with Eva. Ted said they should cancel the party and go away together. He said he didn’t want to take what they have for granted. They complimented each other. At Uptown, Joey went to Vanessa’s table. He said he was sad that they wouldn’t be looking for houses together and had an idea on how they could extend their working relationship. Vanessa was intrigued. Joey told her that he got a real estate tip and wanted to know if it was a good deal. He wanted to work together on it to which Vanessa agreed to do it.

Andre told Doug about a documentary idea. He said he would follow Doug around the hospital, but Doug wasn’t interested. Doug said he wanted to be back in the OR. When Doug looked at his cast, he thought about his money conversation with Joey. As Andre was leaving, he noticed a scratch off on the floor. He gave it to Doug and wished him luck. Doug scratched the ticket and won $50,000. He called Randy over to him and told him about the lottery ticket. Randy said it could be a down payment to Joey. Doug said he wanted to invest it and make what he owes. Randy told him he could lose everything. Doug wanted to bet on a horse. Chelsea was surprised that Dani didn’t take her offer. Dani said there was more to their relationship than working together. She told Chelsea that she wanted to get her act together on her own. Chelsea said she and the family have heard that before and were still waiting for her to get her act together. She told Dani that she didn’t want to work with her at first. Dani told her that Pamela asked open a modeling agency. She told Chelsea that she hesitated at first because she wanted to work with Chelsea. Dani said she wanted something new and asked if Chelsea was okay with it. Chelsea said she wasn’t expecting it. They thought it was time to figure out who they were on their own. After Chelsea left, Pamela came over and they talked about the modeling agency. Dani called Andre to come over and take their picture. Doug called Randy to tell him the horse he bet on lost and he lost all the money. He was shocked that he lost all of the money gambling. When he got off the phone, he noticed Joey and Vanessa together. Eva went home and talked to Leslie about the plan. Leslie said they were going to rock Nicole’s world. Eva wondered why she was at the club. Leslie lied about being at the club. Eva called her a liar to which a shocked Leslie told her about talking to her like that.

Eva was shocked to see that Leslie bought a new dress for Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Leslie felt like they should dress for success. Eva was concerned that their plan could get sidelined. Leslie wanted her to focus on their plan. They still had work to do before they could be happy. Leslie bashed Nicole when Eva received a text and had to see the party planners. Leslie sent her to get something out of the car. While Eva was gone, Leslie went through her phone. Later, Nicole and Eva planned for the party. Ted arrived while the women were talking about the anniversary party. Nicole had to step away for a bit. Ted let Eva know that he needed to take a call from a jeweler so Nicole wouldn’t catch on to her present. He let Eva know that they were blessed to have her in their lives. After Ted left, Leslie arrived at the club. Eva dragged Leslie off so Ted and Nicole wouldn’t see her. Leslie planned to get a job at the club so she could be at the party. They went back and forth about the plan. Eva rushed her out so Ted and Nicole wouldn’t see her there. Ted and Nicole wanted Eva at their table regardless of how Kat felt about it. Kat saw Tomas at the law firm. She told him about what happened when the family got together. Bill and Hayley arrived so Kat told him about how much fun Dani had at the party. Hayley didn’t care to hear about it so she went to work. Kat took a job at Bill, but he just laughed at her. He walked off and warned Tomas to watch out for her. After Kat left, Bill had a job for Tomas. He wanted him to work on the board with the ladies suing the firm. Bill wanted him to tell him everything the women said. Tomas wasn’t comfortable doing that so Bill told him that he could show that he’s ready to be a partner if he did the assignment.

Ted spotted Eva and wanted to talk about the dinner. Leslie saw Nicole and smirked at her. Nicole saw her, and Leslie told her that she didn’t have much time. Hayley listened when Bill talked to Tomas about working with the women involved in the lawsuit. She heard him tell Tomas that he wanted to know everything that went on with the women. Hayley interrupted their conversation so Tomas left. She let Bill know that she overheard them talking. He wondered if she objected to the plan. Hayley wasn’t sure if being pregnant was making a difference, but she wouldn’t want her daughter to be disrespected. He told her that he wasn’t trying to cheat anyone. Bill wanted to protect the company for their children. Chelsea, Kat, and Samantha were at the club. They wanted to talk to Samantha about their plans for her at their company. Kat wanted to tell Samantha about her idea for the company. She wanted to hire Dani, but Chelsea didn’t want to. Chelsea didn’t feel like sharing their success with her mother. The cousins got into an argument about the situation. Samantha liked the idea of Dani working with the company. Andre stopped by Dani’s place to check on her. He wanted to make sure that she was drinking alcohol so he checked her glass. She told him that she wasn’t in distress. Andre and Dani started making out. Afterwards, Dani felt like he was out of line to accuse her of drinking. She realized she was turning a page in her life thanks to him pushing her to do it. Dani let him know about Pamela’s idea to run a modeling agency. Chelsea sent her a text and wanted to come over. They wondered if they should go public about their relationship. After Andre left, Chelsea arrived at Dani’s place. She offered Dani the role of chief marketing officer at her company. Dani appreciated it, but she turned down the offer.

Vanessa talked to Nicole about how worried she is about Doug. She said something changed in him. Nicole thought she was more invested in her marriage than she was letting on. She asked Vanessa if she wanted to fix her marriage. While they were talking, Ted came in and wanted Nicole to come upstairs with him. When he left, the women talked about Nicole’s marriage and how great it was that they were still passionate about each other after so many years. The Duprees went out for karaoke night.  Dani told the family about her plans. Kat reminded Chelsea to get her mother to help them on their line. Martin and Smitty talked to Vernon about what was going on with the twins. Later on, Anita talked to Vernon about what they have done for their family. Kat talked to Ted about the anniversary party. She said Eva didn’t know anything about planning a party. He wanted her to let it go. Dani wanted Anita to go to the stage and sing, but Anita said her voice wasn’t ready. Anita was afraid that she couldn’t sing anymore. Dani, Naomi, and Anita went on the stage and did a great job.

Joey told Doug that he wouldn’t be fixing hearts soon. Doug wondered what he would do for him if he couldn’t make money. He told Joey that he didn’t have any skills in Joey’s line of work. Doug told Joey that he gave him money. Joey warned him that his time was up if he didn’t respect him. Doug was shocked and let him know that he didn’t have a deadline. Joey said he did now. Doug said his assets were tied up and needed time. Joey wasn’t sure what he was going to do with him. Doug asked if someone could bail him out. When Joey kept pressuring Doug, Doug said he would talk to Vanessa. Doug said she didn’t know about his gambling problem. When Doug said Vanessa wouldn’t leave him, Joey laughed at him. Joey said Vanessa could sell some houses and give him the money. Vanessa overheard Joey telling Doug to find a solution if she wasn’t the answer. Joey let Vanessa know that he was there to check on a friend. When Joey left, Vanessa asked Doug about his hand. She asked him what was going on with him. He let her know that he went to a dark place and wouldn’t go back. Eva and Tomas were at the club. They talked about the sexual harassment case. Tomas told Eva that the guy was fired and the women got a big settlement. Eva said she couldn’t imagine taking her father down. She told him about her mother’s friend taking her in and her mother died. Tomas offered sympathy when Eva said her stepfather didn’t like her. Eva said she never wanted for anything. Tomas said it was her stepfather’s loss.

Vanessa felt bad for him. Nicole felt like it was a calculated move. She wondered if Vanessa had feelings for Joey. Vanessa admitted that she thought he was attractive. She did admit that she had feelings for Joey, but she didn’t want to say how deep her feelings were. Nicole understood how it felt to fall for bad boys. She didn’t think Joey had a soft spot in him. Vanessa talked to her about her marriage. Nicole understood why she found love from outside sources. Vanessa shared her concerns about Doug with Nicole. Randy and Joey talked about the feds cracking down on casinos. They also talked about Doug. Joey wanted to know where he was, and Randy told him that he wanted to focus on work. Randy thought Doug could get him the money, but Joey didn’t care. He wanted to go after Vanessa’s real estate business. Joey wanted her business to launder money. Randy didn’t think Vanessa would agree to it, but Joey thought Doug would convince her to do it. Joey threatened Randy’s family to get him to  go with his plans.

Doug asked Shanice why she was talking to Vanessa about him. She told him that she let Vanessa know that she was worried about him working so hard. Later Doug was upset because he lost a patient. Shanice tried to make him feel better by telling him that the patient was high risk. Ashley agreed with her and told him that it wasn’t his fault that the patient died. He smashed his hand on the table because he was upset. Later Doug got an examination and found out that his wrist was broken. Shanice informed him that he wouldn’t be doing any more surgeries. He wasn’t thrilled about it. She thought he could have a break. Naomi went to see Anita, and they talked about her days as a performer. She knew those days were behind her. The ladies talked about Dani and wanted to throw a party for her. Chelsea and Kat talked about their company. They were happy with Samantha being on board. Kat suggested Dani be the head of marketing. Chelsea wasn’t happy about that because her mother would be too controlling. Dani treated her like a child, and she didn’t want it again. Kat reminded her that they were in charge, and Dani would work for them. Chelsea considered the idea. Dani was ready to get a drink when Pamela showed up. She switched her alcoholic drink for ginger ale. Pamela asked how she felt about letting Chelsea go. Dani felt the sting of losing her. Pamela suggested they open up their own modeling agency. Dani agreed to it, but she wanted her name to go first on the building. Randy called Doug to let him know that there was a bottle of scotch waiting for him at the gambling den. Doug didn’t want to join him. Randy thought it was his time to change his luck at the tables. Doug thought Joey was forcing him to gamble. He assured Randy that Joey would get his money. After Randy got off the phone with Doug, he called Joey. Randy told Joey what Doug said. Joey wasn’t happy about it so he wanted to take care of it himself. Joey showed up at the hospital and noticed Doug’s broken arm. He thought that was going to be a problem.

They wanted to take Bill’s deal, but they thought they could get a better deal and wanted to know if she could help them. Mike getting fired was great, but he was part of the rainbow. The new lawyer the women have is nice but not on the same page as them. They want to change the policy at the company as part of their settlement. Naomi agreed to help them, and they left. Chelsea and Kat were dancing when Samantha walked in with an announcement. She decided to quit school. Chelsea and Kat were shocked. Samantha wanted to pursue modeling full time. She joked with them but she did skip school. They talked to her about her responsibilities. Samantha let them know that Martin wasn’t on board with her modeling. Kat wasn’t surprised because she knew how her brother could be. Smitty saw how talented she was. Samantha talked to them about her life before Martin and Smitty adopted her. They brought up Tyrell’s bullying and what the family has been dealing with lately. Samantha would always have Tyrell’s back. The trio talked about Samantha’s future as a spokesperson and all the plans they had. They were sure Martin would be okay with the plans. Tyrell came home from school and demanded to know what Martin did. He told Martin and Smitty that there was an assembly about cyberbullying and everybody knew it was about him. People bullied him about it. The kids thought he snitched to the principal. Martin confessed that he did something. Tyrell was upset because things were worse for him. Martin talked to him about his past and dealing with being a gay black man. It didn’t work because Tyrell was still upset about it. He felt like Martin disrespected him. Martin couldn’t stand watching him suffer. He apologized, but Tyrell wanted him to stay out of his life. Tyrell ran upstairs. Smitty stood by Tyrell’s side. Tyrell needed to stand on his own. Smitty walked out of the room.

Vanessa went to see Doug at the hospital. Shanice told her that he was in surgery. She mentioned that he’s been doing a lot of surgeries. Doug was talking to Dr. Wilkes when he received an unwanted text.  Dr. Wilkes told him to relax and brought up Vanessa. Doug thought about times with her. He found Vanessa, and she reminded him that he forgot to meet her. She told him that Shanice was worried about him.  Vanessa noticed he’s been distant lately. Was he distant because of her? Doug said it wasn’t that simple. He contemplated telling her the truth. Vanessa thought he was leaving her and reminded him about the twins coming home from school. She wondered if he was cheating on her. Doug denied cheating on her. Shanice interrupted their conversation to let him know that his patient was ready for him. He let Vanessa know that he’s the happiest he’s ever been. Bill met Naomi. He was happy to see her. She told him about the rider the women wanted in the settlement. He was surprised that she was working with them again. Bill refused to accept the rider. She gave in and said he could settle it in court. Naomi warned him about the new lawyer they had. Bill changed his mind and agreed to the rider. He congratulated her for getting him to change his mind and left her table.

Mike talked to Bill about getting fired. He told Bill that he could get them out of their legal problems by taking on the case. When Bill wasn’t convinced, Mike threatened to take his clients with him. He couldn’t believe Bill was turning his back on him after he helped in build the law firm. Bill wasn’t interested in listening to him. Mike reminded him that he made money for the company to which Bill said his clients were divided among other people. Bill said everyone knew about the rumors and warned him that he would lose his severance if he fought the firing. Mike said this was going to ruin his career. Bill warned him that it would be worse for him if he pursued a lawsuit. Mike threw up in Bill’s face that he had an affair with a staff member. He said he told Bill that was getting fired because Naomi wanted revenge. When Mike started to insult Naomi, Bill threatened to fight him if he didn’t leave. After Mike left, Bill called Hayley to let her know he was on his way to meet her so they could celebrate having a baby. Hayley wasn’t sure they should celebrate since she wasn’t sure she was pregnant. Bill wanted to celebrate anyway. Naomi talked to Jacob about the repercussions there will be if she reconciled with her father. She wasn’t worried about the clients, but she was worried about how her mother would take the news. Naomi didn’t want her mother to think that she was deserting her. Jacob wondered if she could talk to Dani about it, but she didn’t think she could explain it. She said she was upset with her father, but she still cared about him. Jacob said her mother probably felt the same way. Naomi said she didn’t like the way her father treated the women at his office as well as her mother. She said she wanted her father to treat Hayley badly. Jacob reminded her that she would have to get along with Hayley if she got along with her father. Naomi said Hayley knew Bil was a cheater and wondered what her angle was. She was convinced Hayley schemed to have a future with Bill.

Andre woke up in bed with Dani and gave her painkillers for her headache. He said they couldn’t do this anymore. She got offended when he said she was his friend. He said she was sending out red flags. She was upset and didn’t want to hear anymore. Andre said she was always getting drunk. He said she wasn’t keeping it real to which she said she was doing what she needed to do. She told him to leave if what she was doing was too much for him. He told her she was a strong and beautiful woman, but she was drinking too much. She said Bill didn’t care about her. Andre suggested she get therapy so she could get back to the way she was. Dani said she didn’t think it would work to which he said it would. He said she was magnificent. After Andre left, Dani called Pamela and asked her to come over. When Pamela came over, Dani told her she needed her fire back. Pamela said they would get her back to her old self. Dani said she wanted to feel like a teenager again. They talked about their past and decided to go to the club. Ted offered to take down the decorations from Kat’s party. He told Nicole that her patients were lucky to have her. Nicole said he was acting like he was guilty or wanted something. When Andre called her, Ted thought about his affair. Andre showed up to talk about the video he was doing for their anniversary. He said he wanted to honor their love. Nicole wanted to talk about the good and bad times they had. She brought up how she had miscarriages and pushed Ted away. Nicole said she was surprised Ted didn’t give up on her. Ted told her not to blame herself because he was to blame. When Nicole went to bed, Andre told Ted that he thought he was going to tell Nicole the truth. Ted said he wasn’t going to tell her the truth but it was hard to keep the secret with Dana around. Pamela and Dani went to the club and saw Hayley there.  Dani went over to talk to Hayley. She told Hayley that she could see Bill’s love for her and wanted to give her advice on how to deal with him. Dani said losing love was sneaky. Hayley said that wasn’t going to happen with her and Bill. Dani said Hayley didn’t have a career. She said Hayley had a job based on sleeping with Bill. Dani told her when Bill didn’t want her, she should have a plan ready. Pamela came over and saw that Hayley was drinking water. Dani told the waiter that he could take Hayley’s order. Hayley said Dani was just telling her the same thing over again. After Dani and Pamela left, Bill showed up. Hayley told him she was able to order something thanks to Dani. Bill told her about what happened with Mike. Hayley left to go to the bathroom. While Dani and Pamela were talking about career paths, Bill came over to their table. He thanked Dani for letting the staff take Hayley’s order.

Martin confronted Tyrel about the photo that got leaked of him. He wanted to know why the picture was online. Dani pretended to be a runway model again. She called Andre because she wanted to meet with him. He was busy, but she wanted him to come over. She flirted with him to get him to change his mind. Randy called Joey and informed him that he would make sure that Doug wouldn’t get away. Bill was suspicious that Naomi suddenly decided to pull out of the case against his firm. She explained why she backed out, but he didn’t believe her. Naomi was about to leave, but he wanted her to stay. He wanted to ask her some questions. Bill felt like Naomi wouldn’t win the case. He let her know that he would win the case. Bill felt like she didn’t believe in the case. She assured him that she believed in the case. He said that she did it because she wanted to get back at him for what he did to her mother. Naomi told him that he betrayed her mother and her by being with her best friend. He realized that was the reason why she went after the case and wondered why she would walk away from it. Martin and Smitty talked to Tyrel about the pictures. They wanted him to talk to them when things like that happen. Randy showed up at the hospital to see Doug. Doug thought he would be able to gamble at the table. Naomi denied taking the case to make her father pay for what he did to her mother. Bill didn’t believe that. She realized that she shouldn’t have taken it. Bill reminded her about the way she acted after she talked to Hayley. He asked her again why she backed out of the case. Bill felt like it was personal, and she finally admitted that she was scared. He didn’t believe that. Naomi admitted that she loved him. Tyrell talked to his parents about why the picture was taken. Smitty told him that it was a lot to take alone. Martin was determined to do something about what happened, but Tyrell didn’t want him to do anything.

Randy told Doug that he wanted to help his number one. Doug told him what happened to his patient. He couldn’t gamble anymore. Doug didn’t want to put Randy in a bind with Joey, but he didn’t want to do it anymore. Randy didn’t believe it, but Doug wanted to make the hospital his priority. Andre showed up at Dani’s place after she fell down. He noticed that she had been drinking. Andre picked her up and took her to her room. Martin was determined to stop the kids from taunting Tyrell. He didn’t like how he kept the taunts from them. Tyrell didn’t want them to help. He said they were part of the problem because they made them go to that school. He wanted to handle it himself and demanded that Martin didn’t help. Naomi wanted Bill to let it go that she loved him. He didn’t listen because he had to be a lawyer. She wanted a conversation and not a deposition. Bill told her that he loved her and her sister. He wanted to see her. Bill remembered how Naomi and Chelsea used to run into his arms. He reminisced about their relationship. Naomi asked about how he was doing. He wanted to have the case in court and didn’t want her sympathy. She didn’t forgive him, and she probably never would. Bill wanted to hug her, but he didn’t think he should. He said he loved her. Randy told Joey about his conversation with Doug. He agreed that they had to do something to get Doug interested in gambling again. Bill told Mike that Naomi was backing out of the case. Mike was excited about it. Smitty tried to make Martin feel better about the things Tyrell said to them. Martin told him that they had to do something about Tyrell getting bullied. Smitty said they should let Tyrell do what he needed to do. He was afraid Tyrell could do something worse if they don’t let him handle the situation on his own. Smitty felt like they should be united. Martin wanted to do something to stop the bullying. Martin stormed off while Smitty was talking. Bill told Mike that he was the problem with the company and he wanted him out.

Anita showed up at Nicole’s place for Kat’s birthday party. While they were talking, Nicole got roses from Ted. Nicole told Anita that Ted has been sending them to her ever since they had issues years ago. She said it was a rebirth of their marriage. Vernon showed up to Dani’s place. He comforted her and told her she wasn’t the first person to have a bad year. Vernon talked to her about what his father overcame. He said his father was questioned about his mentally after what he went through. Dani apologized to which Vernon said he didn’t know if he had better days for him until he met Anita. Dani said she was ashamed of herself because Vernon did so much for them, but she kept making mistakes. Vernon said Bill’s mistakes outweighed hers. Dani told him how Bill manipulated her into remembering their past. She told him that Bill kissed her. Vernon informed her that a kiss was just that to which she said Bill wanted her to obsess over him. She said Bill was doing that with Hayley. Dani said Bill loved Hayley and it was time for her to deal with it. Naomi went to see Bill who was glad to see her. She told him she was there as a lawyer. Bill told her he had a doctor’s appointment which worried her. He said it was a yearly checkup. She wasn’t sure if he was lying. Bill said he wasn’t happy she felt that way but understood why. Naomi suggested that he see a doctor. Bill thought it was funny that she still cared.

Leslie told Eva that it was a beautiful day and suggested they go to the park. Eva reminded her that they couldn’t be seen together. She told Leslie that she was still upset about the mission. Leslie said Eva spent more time with Ted and Nicole to which Eva said wasn’t done on purpose. She apologized to Leslie for the plan falling on her. Eva said she chose to be in on the plan. Leslie said they would get what they deserved. Eva said she would too. She told Leslie how perfect Eva was. Leslie tried to make her feel better. When they finished talking, Eva decided to go for a walk. Naomi and Jacob met at the diner. She told him about what happened with her father. Jacob wondered if Bill was faking his health issues to get out of the lawsuit. Naomi said her clients deserved justice but questioned how she could be the lawyer. Bill told Hayley that he was getting his daughter back. Hayley said she had something to tell him. She told him that she might be pregnant. Bill was upset about the news because they planned to be alone for a while. Hayley wondered if Naomi would hate her more if she was pregnant. Bill told her not to worry about it. Hayley said she had everything she wanted. Bill said she would be a great mother. He asked if that was what she wanted. She said she didn’t think she wanted kids or marriage until she met him. When she said she might have a boy, Bill was excited about it. Everyone showed up at Kat’s party. Eva was at the party. She and Kat got into an argument. Eva walked off. Ted saw Eva and Kat arguing. He went after Eva and told her that she missed out on not having parents. Naomi went to Bill’s office to let Bill know she was dropping the case.

Dani went to Martin and Smitty’s place to talk to Samantha about her potential modeling career. She told her that she made Chelsea famous. Chelsea showed up, and Dani realized that Samantha asked her to be her manager. She thought Dani would be a better manager, but Samantha wanted to work with Chelsea. Eva went to the hospital to see Laura. She had flowers from Nicole. Shanice wondered how things were going with her. Eva tried to pump her for information about Laura. Shanice told her about the new nurse. Eva became suspicious about the nurse but said Nicole would want to thank her for taking care of Laura. She tried to find out the nurse’s name, but Shanice didn’t know her. Leslie thought about injecting Laura with a drug. She read the invitation for Ted and Nicole’s anniversary. Leslie mocked them as she read it. She had the perfect gift for them. Doug was gambling and winning while Joey watched him. Randy showed up at the gambling den to check on Doug. Doug felt like his luck was changing for the better. Shanice called him because he was needed for surgery. He tried to get out of it, but he was the only doctor available to do it. Doug was upset that he had to leave, but he stormed off. Joey was glad that he left because he didn’t want him to be on a winning streak. Andre watched Nicole’s interview. Nicole discussed the times she had to go to therapy. She talked about her first miscarriage and when she lost a patient. It happened on a night that she couldn’t find Ted. Ted walked in the room so Andre stopped the video. While he was talking to Andre about the video, Leslie pranked his phone. She listened to him say hello on the phone. Ted got off the phone and continued talking to Andre about Nicole’s interview. Nicole discussed being home with her toddler, Martin. Martin had a fever and was getting sicker. Her family wasn’t home and Ted showed up at the hospital hours later. The incident left her a mess. Nicole was grateful that Ted was attentive ever since that incident. Leslie called Ted again, but he ignored the call. He talked to Andre about his marriage. Ted said it wasn’t perfect. Andre let him know that he was like a second father to him. Ted became uncomfortable when he thought about what he did to Nicole. Andre assured him that he could talk to him about anything. Ted admitted that he was unfaithful to Nicole more than 20 years ago before Kat was born. He confided in Andre that he and Nicole suffered several miscarriages. Ted pulled away during that time. He met another woman. She didn’t have a care in the world so he convinced himself it was more than sex so he wouldn’t feel guilty about what he did. He told Andre that she had an abortion so Nicole never found out about the affair. After that, he vowed to be a better husband to Nicole. Ted admitted that he paid Leslie off. Andre was shocked by what he heard. He filled Andre in about the things that Leslie did. Ted appreciated him taking the time to listen to him. Andre advised him to tell Nicole the truth. Ted couldn’t do that. He believed that Leslie was out of his life.

Eva found her mother wearing a new wig. She wanted to know what Leslie was doing with it. Leslie didn’t tell her everything, but she thought it would give them what they wanted. Eva asked her about pretending to be a nurse at the hospital. She questioned whether she was in Laura’s room. Leslie admitted to being in her room. She jokingly admitted to hitting Laura with her bike. Leslie backtracked her confession and told her that she does everything for her. Eva felt like she did things for herself. They talked about Alan. Leslie felt like he wasn’t there for them, but Eva didn’t agree with her. She wanted to fix their lives, but Eva thought she was going too far. Vanessa wanted to meet with Diego, but she saw Joey. She changed her mind and talked to Joey. They talked about their marriages. Joey admitted that his wife had an affair with one of his pit bosses. Vanessa talked about being with Doug in high school. Doug thought about gambling while he was in surgery. The patient’s blood pressure dropped and the bleeding couldn’t be stopped. He needed someone else to finish the surgery. Randy called him, and he talked about what happened. Doug worked all day and gambled all night. He couldn’t keep doing it. Doug decided he needed to stop gambling. Leslie tried to call Ted again, but he didn’t answer the phone. She got upset when he didn’t answer the phone. Leslie refused to get ignored by him.

Haley talked to Bill about the lawsuit, and the way the town treats her. He said that he was just as powerful as Dani in the town. A woman let Dani know that she wouldn’t be on the board for First Gen Grant anymore. Dani wanted to know if she was being fired. Martin tried to get Tyrell to tell him what Samantha was going through. Samantha told Smitty that she went to him because he was understanding. Smitty didn’t like the way she was going about things. She didn’t think Martin would understand that she wanted to be a model. He said that he and Martin couldn’t travel around with her. She begged him to take her side. Martin and Tyrell went downstairs. He wanted to know what she was talking to Smitty about. Dani spotted Bill and Hayley at the club. The waiter wouldn’t take Hayley’s order at first. Bill assured her that she would feel at home. Dani was surprised that she was losing her job on the board. Hannah told her that the vote to remove her was unanimous because her behavior was unacceptable. Vernon and Anita hoped that Dani would be able to move on from Bill after everything that happened between them. Bill wanted to be affectionate, but Hayley didn’t think they should. Dani wanted more info from Hannah from the board. She tried to downplay what she did, but the woman told her that someone could have been hurt or killed. Dani wanted to know why they waited so long to let her go. Hannah wanted to transition to be smooth.

Martin didn’t want Samantha to deal with rejection from modeling. She tried to explain how Chelsea was able to model as a teenager. Chelsea wanted to use the money she made modeling to save for college. He reminded her that he and Smitty had enough money. Martin refused to let her drop out of school to model. Samantha got upset with him and stormed off. Anita approached Dani at the club. Dani thought Anita had something to do with her getting kicked off the board. She told her that Hannah waited until after the fashion show to fire her. Anita was determined to get Dani’s job back, but she didn’t want it anymore. She was fine with Dani’s decision. Hayley enjoyed watching Dani get kicked out of the charity. She liked not being the only outcast in the town. Tyrell didn’t understand why Samantha wanted to be a model. She changed the subject and talked to him about the pictures of him online. Smitty tried to talk Martin into letting Samantha dance. He said that Chelsea would look out for her and not let anything happen to him. Smitty wondered if the election was why he didn’t want Samantha to be a model. After his conversation with Smitty, Martin called someone. He needed to see the person right away. Later Martin wanted to talk to Dani at the club about Samantha. Samantha told Smitty and Tyrell that Martin didn’t understand her or what she wanted. Smitty tried to defend Martin, but she didn’t want to hear it. Anita told Vernon what happened with Dani and Hannah. She thought that other foundations would kick her off their boards too. Vernon didn’t want Dani to end up the way she was before. Anita was determined to stop that from happening. Dani let Martin know that modeling wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. He worried about the men that would be preying on her. Dani thought it was important that she had the right manager to keep her safe. Hannah arrived at the Dupree mansion. She wanted Vernon’s input on some upcoming projects. Anita confronted her about kicking Dani off the board. Hannah thought Vernon would understand why they had to kick her off. Anita let her know how she felt about what she did to Dani. She told Hannah that they were getting rid of her instead. Martin wanted to talk to Samantha. He didn’t like the way they left things. She didn’t like it either. He agreed to think about things from her point of view. Martin told her that he talked to Dani to get her opinion. He supported her, but he couldn’t agree to let her become a model. She reminded him that she was a good girl. Samantha wondered why it was okay for Tyrell to do whatever he wanted, but she couldn’t do anything. He didn’t want her to get hurt. Martin wouldn’t forbid her to do it though. She walked out of the room. Smitty warned Martin that she would rebel if they kept turning her own. Anita didn’t want the Dupree family to work with Hannah anymore. The Dupree family foundation would help the underprivileged kids without working with the First Gen Board. Dani was going to chair their organization. She warned her that Hannah would be begging Dani for a job at the board. Bill and Hayley approached Dani about getting kicked off the board. He told her that the board was a way to fill her days. Hayley said she felt bad because she couldn’t lord her power over her anymore. She couldn’t keep treating her the way she did.

Leslie went to the hospital to take care of Laura. She posed as a transfer, but Shanice didn’t fall for her act. She knew Leslie was lying. The doctors went to see Laura to give her good and bad news. She wasn’t suffering any long-term damage from the accident, but she developed an infection that would make her have to stay at the hospital indefinitely. Leslie was happy with Laura’s outcome. Chelsea went to see Samantha so she could give her advice. Samantha told her she wanted to become a model. Chelsea tried to tell her about the downside of modeling, but Samantha still wanted to do it. Samantha asked Chelsea to be her manager. Chelsea was surprised, but she reluctantly agreed to be her manager.

Nicole found the camera Kat had in her office and confronted her about it. She told Kat that she didn’t recognize her anymore. While Nicole was ripping into Kat, Eva was listening. Eva enjoyed what she was hearing. When Nicole and Kat were finished arguing, Eva ended up at Orphey Jean. She spoke to Tomas about Kat. Nicole and Ted met up to talk about what they were going to do with Eva when Laura came back. He thought they should set her up with a hairstyling job to which Nicole agreed with. Once again, Eva was listening to their conversation, but didn’t like what she was hearing.

Everyone was getting ready for the fashion show. Andre was at Dani’s place. She couldn’t believe that it was Chelsea’s last time on the runway. It felt like it was the end of her life. Andre tried to make her feel better. Chelsea, Samantha and Kat arrived at Dani’s place and were surprised to see Andre there. He was there to take pictures. They seemed to buy the excuse and left it alone. Martin and Smitty talked about Samantha attending the fashion show. Smitty wanted to do research about the fashion show for his article. Martin was glad that Smitty was pursuing his passion. Smitty was having second thoughts about how he felt about Martin running for president. Martin let him know that Anita and Vernon ended his plans so it was a moot point.

Anita donated her dress for the silent auction at the fashion show and thought about the past. Tomas surprised Kat at the fashion show. He was in for a surprise when Vernon, Ted, Martin and Smitty approached him. He was intimidated by the men, but they set his mind at ease. They let him know they weren’t worried about Kat. He was the one they were worried about because Kat was a spitfire. The fashion show went off without a hitch. The guests were surprised to see Samantha on the runway. Dani liked what she saw when Samantha walked down the runway. The fashion show featured a silent auction. Everyone bid on the items. Anita’s dress was up for bid. Vernon secretly bid on Anita’s dress so she could have it in her closet where it belonged.

Martin had a nightmare. When he woke up, he snapped at Smitty. Smitty wanted to know what was wrong. Nicole took Eva to meet Laura. Eva flashed back to when she talked to Leslie about hitting her. Ted went to see Leslie to confront her about being in his business. Leslie said she would scream, but Ted wasn’t afraid. He said he earned his respect and thought that no one would believe what she would say about him. Ted gave her the money she wanted and warned her to leave for good. Smitty wanted to know what was going on with Martin, but he changed the subject. They ended up talking about Tyrell and how he was being bullied. Smitty told Martin that he talked to the school about Tyrell getting bullied. While they were talking, Martin said someone should be held accountable. Mona showed up to Laura’s room. Laura said she should be out of the hospital tomorrow. Eva said she knew the job was temporary. She left to get her laptop.

Ted let Leslie know not to ask for anything else. She taunted him about the money. When he was going to make a call, she agreed to do what he wanted. She asked him about calling Nicole and inviting her over. Smitty told Martin not to do anything about the bullying because he might make it worse, and he would push Tyrell away. When they finished talking about Tyrell, Smitty brought up Martin’s nightmare. Ted told Leslie to leave Nicole out of it. Leslie said he involved her when he decided to have a fling with her and broke up with her. She said they had something real and he got her pregnant. Leslie said he had to keep his perfect life intact. Ted said he would always regret betraying Nicole and his family. Leslie asked about what he did to her. Ted said he regretted what he did to her and shouldn’t have told her he would leave Nicole for her. He said he wouldn’t let her destroy what he had with his wife. Ted said he didn’t want to see her again. Leslie wondered what would happen if she saw him again. Ted said he would do whatever it took to protect his family. Eva walked in and heard Ted threatening Leslie. She managed to hide before he saw her. Ted warned Leslie to stay away from his wife before he left. When Ted left, Eva wondered what was going to happen if he came back and saw her. Leslie said he wouldn’t come back. She said they were going to lay low for now and let him think he won. Leslie said they would make their move at the anniversary party so he wouldn’t know what hit him. Smitty wanted Martin to be honest with him because it felt like he was holding something back. Martin didn’t realize what he was doing. Smitty said Tyrell held things back the same way he did. Martin was sick of Smitty talking about him hiding something and wanted to get air. Eva was excited about the money and asked Leslie if it was enough. Leslie said she wanted to make Ted pay. Eva wondered what would happen if Ted told Nicole the truth before she exposed it. Leslie said Ted wouldn’t have given the money if he was going to tell the truth. Leslie met with Jan and Mona and talked about Laura getting out of the hospital and Eva’s job being temporary. After Leslie met with Jan and Mona, she went to Laura’s hospital room. She stuck a needle in Laura’s IV.
