Anita wanted Elon to keep Leslie in line. She was willing to pay any off duty police officers to do security at Winterfest. Elon told Marcel about the job. Marcel was willing to do it as well as take the money. Leslie tried to make Peaches feel better but it didn’t do any good. Peaches said she didn’t think the clinical trial was worth it since she was dying. Leslie wanted to talk to Peaches’ doctor. He suggested that she get therapy. Carlton called Nicole to tell her he couldn’t take her to Winterfest. Shanice showed up and told her she would set her up with a blind date. Nicole wasn’t sure about the blind date, but Shanice set it up behind her back. Anita went to see Nicole who told her that Carlton canceled on her. While they were talking, they talked about Anita’s test results. The results were good.

Leslie went to Nicole’s office and begged her to listen to her. She wanted Nicole to help Peaches. Leslie wanted Nicole’s help because she was the best. She told Nicole that Peaches was a good person. Tomas and Kat were excited about their trip. Madison and Chelsea argued over Thanksgiving. Tomas tried to calm them down, but it didn’t do any good. They continued to argue. When Tomas left, Madison said Chelsea didn’t trust her. She told Chelsea that she was there for her throughout all her family drama, but Chelsea wouldn’t do the same for her. Eva met Samantha at Orphey Gene’s. Samantha told Eva that she wanted to start a free clinic for people who couldn’t get insurance. Eva said she would ask her mother for the money. While they were talking, Kat walked in. Kat was furious and ripped into Eva. Samantha tried to defend Eva, but Eva decided to leave. When Kat was upset with Samantha, Samantha yelled at her. Leslie took Nicole to meet Peaches. Peaches said she didn’t need therapy. Nicole told her how she felt about Leslie. She let Peaches know that she should do the trial.

Vernon and Martin talk about politics. He listened to his grandson as he talked about his platform. Vernon thought about social media. Martin thought people cared more about keeping their lights on than about social media. While they were talking, Martin admitted to Vernon that Joey offered to give him a donation, but he rejected it. Vernon regretted bringing Joey into their circle. Vanessa told Joey that she didn’t care what the neighbors thought about their relationship. She didn’t want an easy life. Vanessa wanted him. Joey wondered if she was ready to let her children know they were together. His comment made her wonder where they were in their relationship. She asked him to be her date at Winterfest. Vanessa was tired of hiding the one honest thing in her life. He refused to go with her. She became angry and wondered if he was ashamed of her. He told her that they weren’t the same. Joey told her the differences between them. He felt like them being together would expose their money laundering scheme. While they were talking, Vernon showed up. He wasn’t happy to see Joey. After Vanessa left, Vernon told him to stay away from Martin’s campaign. Joey reminded him that they weren’t that different from each other, so he shouldn’t judge him.

Jan went to check on Ashley. While they were talking, Ashley admitted that she proposed to Derek because she felt sorry for him. Derek talked to Jacob about kissing Cheryl. Jacob said it was a mistake to make out with her in Ashley’s apartment. Cheryl showed up at Derek and Jacob’s table. Hayley told Randy that Bill would die of old age before the drug took effect. She said she wanted something more potent before Bill went back to Dani. Randy wondered why Bill would go back to Dani. Hayley said he always wants what he can’t have. Later on, Hayley ran into Andre. She told him that their spouses were drawn together. Andre said he was secure in his marriage. Dani and Bill talked to Chelsea and Naomi about their marriage. When Chelsea and Naomi got away, they talked about being okay with their parents getting back together. They ended up thinking that it would be a crazy idea. Andre and Hayley showed up at the club and saw Bill and Dani together. Hayley was upset about them being together. She told Randy that she wanted to step up the plan.

Vanessa and Dani were having breakfast together when two women approached them. They confronted Vanessa about the gigolos. Dani was shocked to find out that Vanessa was pimping people for Joey. She was even more surprised to find out that the business was Vanessa’s. Vanessa told Dani that she felt like herself again after so long. Dani felt like she was trying to feel better after grieving. She warned Vanessa about reaching out for something to make her feel better because it might reach back. The ladies talked about Vanessa’s feelings for Joey. Vanessa said that he treats her like an adult and lets her make her own decisions. Dani promised to stand by her side. Smitty was helping Martin with his campaign and came across a donation from Joey. He stormed off and arrived at the casino. Smitty wanted to return Joey’s check and tell him to stay away from Martin’s campaign. Martin showed up while Smitty and Joey were arguing. He told Smitty that he was a good man, and he loved his support. Smitty wasn’t happy with the way the conversation was going. Joey felt like they could co-exist as long as Martin’s politics didn’t get in the way of his casino. Martin and Smitty left without Joey’s check. Once Martin and Smitty arrived at home they talked about how dangerous Joey was.

Bill went to the Dupree mansion to see Vernon. He told him that he wanted Hayley to be respected by the community. Billy told him that he was all she had, and he wanted to protect her. Vernon told Bill that he hurt his daughter and the family. The men talked about Bill hurting Dani. Bill admitted that he loved Dani, and he enjoyed being part of the Dupree family. Vernon revealed that he wouldn’t forgive him for the way he hurt Dani. Bill couldn’t believe he hurt Dai the way he did. Derek and Andre ran into each other at the hospital. Andre tried to be nice to Derek, but he didn’t want any part of it. He became defensive. Andre was about to respond to him when Ashley showed up. She admitted that she threw herself at Andre once she wasn’t engaged to him anymore. Ashley told Derek that he wasn’t second best. She also mentioned his lies. He asked her if she ever wondered if he thought he would lose her to Andre. Derek realized that he was right. Ashely felt she deserved credit for not acting on her feelings. Derek asked her if she would have been engaged to him if he didn’t get injured. She didn’t answer the question, so he assumed that she was never his after all.

Bill and Hayley were at the country club for Thanksgiving. Hayley was excited at first until she realized the Duprees ate there each year. The only good thing was Izaiah was there and she got a chance to flirt with him again. Later on, Bill went over to the Duprees’ table to talk to them. Hayley showed up at the table as well. The Duprees weren’t happy to see them. Anita wanted them to go away. Before they went back to the table, Bill wanted to stay behind to hear Vernon’s toast. Ted and Eva were at Orphey Gene’s. Leslie joined them at the table. Joey and Vanessa had dinner at Uptown. He arranged for them to have a private dinner. Vanessa was touched that he did that for her. Dani cooked dinner for her and Andre. She told Andre it was the first time she made a big spread. Things didn’t go as planned. Dani burned the turkey. June went to Martin and Smitty’s house and spent Thanksgiving with them. She was thankful to spend time with her children and was grateful that they were loved.

Everyone was preparing for Thanksgiving. Kat was happy that Ted wanted her to join him for the holidays. Her happiness was short-lived when she found out that her father wanted Eva to join them. Kat told him that it wouldn’t be a good idea for her to have a knife in her hand while she was sitting across from Eva. She didn’t want to deal with the drama and decided not to spend the holidays with him. Izaiah and Eva kissed each other and were about to do it again when they were interrupted. Ted showed up at the coffee shop and saw Izaiah and Eva together. Eva liked how Ted became overprotective of her. He invited her for Thanksgiving dinner, but she rejected his invitation too. She didn’t want her mother to be alone for the holidays. Kat talked to Nicole about her conversation with Ted. Nicole suggested that she skip the Dupree dinner and spend time with her father and Eva. Izaiah and Eva decided to hook up after the holidays.

Nicole and Anita were shocked when Dani told them that she ditched the Forrester photo shoot to put Andre first. Dani told them that she was falling hard for Andre. Her mother and sister were shocked about that too. Dani explained how love was different with Andre than it was with Bill. Bill and Tomas were across from the Dupree women and talked to him about his future at the law firm. He felt like Tomas had a great future with the firm. Bill wanted to see him get married soon. Later, Tomas met with Kat and suggested she have Thanksgiving dinner with him. Bill approached the Dupree women and had conversation. He became uncomfortable when they talked about how happy Dani was with Andre. Jacob and Marcel were arguing when Elon came between them. After their argument, Elon wanted to talk about Izaiah. He was upset that Izaiah wouldn’t have Thanksgiving dinner with the family. Leslie was at Uptown and ran into Marcel. He thought she looked like trouble. While they were talking, they realized that they had a common interest. They don’t like Jacob. The two of them started flirting with each other. Marcel told her that he and his wife fight all the time. Leslie referred to Ted as a “situationship.” She told Marcel that she was a free agent if Ted didn’t want to hook up with her. Ted walked in the coffee shop and asked Leslie if she and Eva wanted to join him for Thanksgiving dinner at Orphey Gene’s.

Carlton went to see Nicole’s office. She told him how busy she’s been with her practice and the Winterfest. He told her that she was incredible. When he invited her to the Winterfest, she let him know that she wasn’t ready to date anyone yet. He said he was asking her as a friend. Carlton said he hoped his feelings didn’t ruin their friendship. They talked about past Winterfests and said they would miss their relationship if it was gone. Carlton told her she needed a night where someone thought about her happiness. Nicole agreed to go with him as friends. Carlton jokingly said for now. Vernon and Martin played squash. Martin said he was losing votes on the education bill. He told Vernon that he needed to get his head back in the game since mid-terms were less than a year away. Vernon said he was a force in the past but now he was going through the motions. Martin said Hurricane Katrina inspired him to run for Congress. Vernon asked where his spark went. He told Martin that people before him wanted to quit. Martin said he wasn’t worried about his political future. Vernon said insiders predicted that Martin was going to be challenged by a person in his own party. He advised Martin to think about how he wanted to proceed because the fight was going to be ugly.

Samantha was upset that she was still grounded. Smitty suggested they play a game. Samantha said Tyrell was waiting to call Jessica. Tyrell asked if Jessica could come over for Thanksgiving. Smitty said he would talk to Martin about it. He said he and Martin didn’t want Tyrell moving too fast with Jessica. When they talked about college applications, Tyrell brought up applying to UCLA. Samantha said Jessica was applying there too. Smitty wanted to talk to Tyrell alone. He told Tyrell he was surprised that he wasn’t going to Banneker. Tyrell said it was still a top choice but he wanted to keep his options open. Smitty understood what Tyrell was saying, but if their relationship was strong it would survive being apart. When Martin came home, he was upset when he found out about Tyrell. Smitty tried to keep Martin calm. Martin was appreciative of Smitty being the voice of reason. He told Smitty about the election. Smitty thought that his opponent would dig up dirt on the family. Martin said he needed to find his passion again.

Hayley put the drug in Bill’s tea. She talked to herself about the money she would be getting. While she was talking, Naomi walked in. Hayley managed to get out of what Naomi walked in on, When Naomi picked up Bill’s cup, Hayley knocked it out of her hand. She told Naomi that she was  protecting her from Bill’s germs. They ended up talking about their marriages. Naomi said her marriage was great. She apologized to Hayley about seeing the text about the birth control. When Naomi left, Hayley made Bill another cup of tea. She gave Bill the tea. He sipped the tea. At Uptown, Martin ripped into Kat for telling Eva that she wished she were never born. Kat gave him a list of things Eva did to their family. Martin said he wanted to bond with Eva, but Kat thought she was a grifter. Kat said he was only willing to bond with Eva because his constituents wouldn’t approve of him treating her badly. Instead of talking things out, Kat decided to leave. Martin asked Eva if she slept with Kat’s boyfriend.

Kat went to the Dupree mansion to talk to Chelsea. She asked Chelsea if she was a b*tch. Chelsea was shocked when Kat said what happened. She let Kat know that it might not go her way if she made Martin and Ted choose. At the hospital, Leslie demanded that Peaches get special treatment. Leslie and Shanice got into an argument. Shanice let her know she wasn’t going to take Leslie’s abuse. Ted showed up to stop them from fighting. He told Leslie that his friend had an experimental drug program they could enroll Peaches in. Leslie was happy with Ted’s news and hugged him. Later on, Ted and Leslie told Peaches the good news. Ted told Leslie that he liked the side of her that didn’t manipulate people. After they talked, Leslie warned Shanice to stay away from Ted. Shanice didn’t take the warning well.

Kat ranted to Anita about how much she hates people. Anita wanted her to speak her truth, but she had to do it with dignity. Eva admitted to Ted that she slept with Tomas. She told him that Kat doesn’t want to make up with her. Eva refused to grovel. After her conversation with Ted, she met with Martin. Martin told her that he wished Kat would watch her big mouth. Kat overheard him talk about her in the next booth. She heard Martin and Eva joke about Tomas’ sex accident. Martin and Eva discussed how their parents coddled Kat. After Martin left, Kat went to Eva’s booth to give her a piece of her mind. Kat hit Eva below the belt when she told her that she wished her mother never had her. She thought they would be living their best lives if she weren’t born. Martin was shocked to hear what Kat said to Eva. He demanded to know what happened.

Leslie went to the club and let Vernon know that she knew about his secret meetings at the hotel. She told him that she wasn’t blackmailing him. Leslie wanted to help each other. Vernon missed when they became friends. He wanted to know what she wanted. Leslie wanted to be front-and- at the Winterfest. Vernon refused to be bought, blackmailed and bullied. After being shot down, Leslie agreed to keep his secret. Anita arrived while they were talking and wanted to know about the secret they were talking about. Vernon tried to change the subject. Anita refused to be derailed. Vernon told her a half-truth. He let her know that Leslie wanted a bigger role at Winterfest. Leslie ran into Ted and opened up about Peaches. She begged him to use his connections to get Peaches into a drug trial. She didn’t care about the cost. He told her that her money wouldn’t help the situation, but she wanted him to try.

Ted and Shanice were talking at the hospital. Leslie walked in and saw them together. She was jealous watching them together. Leslie started crying and pulled Ted into a hug. She told him that Peaches had a health setback. Ted comforted her about Peaches. He left to check on one of his patients. Leslie changed her attitude and ripped into Shanice and Peaches doctor. Shanice warned Leslie that it wasn’t a good idea to lash out at people who were helping her. Leslie threatened to get Shanice fired. Shanice didn’t care about Leslie’s threat. Later on, Shanice and Ted talked about Leslie. She wondered what he saw in Leslie. Eva and Izaiah got to know each other. While they were talking, they ended up kissing each other. Leslie called to tell Eva about Peaches. Eva left to see her mother. Leslie told her that she wanted Ted to treat Peaches. She changed the subject and asked Eva about her date. Later on, Leslie saw Vernon sneaking out of Sharon’s room. She thought she had information on Vernon.

Jacob talked to Bill about the birth control message Naomi saw on Hayley’s phone. Bill told him the same explanation Hayley gave him about it. He wanted Jacob to focus on his own marriage. Bill got Jacob to admit that he and Naomi hit a rough patch. Kat saw Hayley at the club and went to her table. She wanted to help Hayley get accepted at the Fairmount Club if she dd a favor for her. Kat wondered how a homewrecking woman’s mind works. She wanted to put a stop to any plans Eva had to go after Tomas. Hayley advised her to repair her relationship with Tomas before Eva interfered. Later Kat decided to go after Tomas to work things out. Kat promised to work things out with Eva. He said he was cured from is problem. They went to celebrate. Andre decided to tell Dani about how far things went with Ashley before they left town. Dani understood so they agreed to work on having a mature relationship.

Leslie told Eva that Anita wanted her to help with Winterfest. She thought she could ignore the guest list and invite who she wanted at the party. Mona told Jan that she would never forgive Leslie for the things she did. Leslie saw them and wanted make things right with Mona through the Winterfest. Mona wasn’t ready to forgive her. Leslie got a call from Peaches. She panicked as she talked to Peaches. Jacob warned Izaiah to be wary of Eva. Hayley’s also interested in Izaiah. Once he was alone, she decided to flirt with him. She told Izaiah that they needed friends. He agreed with her. While they were talking, Randy informed her that it was time to get rid of Bill since Joey was getting suspicious. Naomi and Jacob met Bill and Hayley at the country club. While they were talking, Naomi brought up Dani and Andre’s honeymoon plans. They talked about Derek and Ashley breaking up, Jacob’s brother being in town, and Hayley wanting to have a baby. Hayley held her phone to show the pictures of her and Bill’s vacation home. Naomi saw a message on Hayley’s phone about her picking up her birth control pills. Hayley noticed that Naomi saw the message. She covered her ground by telling Bill that she wanted to get off her birth control pills. Leslie went to see Anita to offer her services at Winterfest. Anita said the event wasn’t looking for any more volunteers. She convinced Leslie to make a donation instead of helping. Later on, Anita and Nicole talked about Leslie helping at Winterfest. After their talk, Anita was convinced to let Leslie volunteer. Joey questioned Randy about his relationship with Hayley. Randy refused to tell Joey how he knew Hayley. Joey told Randy to keep whatever he was doing away from his door. He found Vanessa talking to a wealthy customer. She told him not to gamble. Joey was upset with her butting into his business. Vanessa asked if he felt responsible for what happened to Doug. Joey was upset the longer they kept talking. He ended up blurting out that he loved her.

Dani told Andre that he was why she canceled the shoot with Forrester Creations. She said he kept talking about the risk of the shoot. Andre agreed to tell Dani the truth. He said he didn’t want to look like he didn’t fit or ruin her comeback. Dani said she understood how he felt and canceled the trip. She said they should pick a place for their honeymoon since they were at the airport. They decided to go to Los Angeles even though they weren’t doing the shoot. Eva didn’t enjoy listening to Leslie and Ted talking. Jan told Eva that Leslie could only make progress with Ted if he allowed it. While Leslie and Ted were talking, she found out about Winterfest. She tried to get Ted to invite her to it, but he didn’t invite her. Eva tried to talk Leslie into thinking about other charities, but she realized Leslie was going to crash Anita’s event. Later on, Ted told Nicole that he wanted to ask Eva to Winterfest as his plus one. Nicole said it wouldn’t do well with Kat. Ted said she would have to deal with it. Derek got help from his co-workers Liam and Sherry. They helped Derek move out of Ashley’s apartment. When Derek and Sherry were alone, she told him he didn’t have to get through the tough time alone. She ended up kissing him. Derek pulled away from her and let her know that he was still in love with Ashley.

Ted tried to explain to Kat why he wanted to bond with Eva. Kat wasn’t interested in hearing about it. She felt like he was trying to make Eva her equal. Kat told him that Eva wasn’t a good person, and she definitely wasn’t her equal. She reminded him about the destruction that Eva and Leslie caused. Ted reminded her that he broke up the family. He didn’t blame Eva for destroying it. Ted assured her that Eva being in his life wouldn’t change anything with her. He said that he loved both of his daughters. Kat let him know that she would never love Eva and wouldn’t accept her as her sister. Eva tried to keep Leslie from assuming that she would get back together with Ted. Her plan didn’t work because she thought she would get Ted back. Jan showed up at the club and joined Eva and Leslie. Eva asked her to talk some sense into her mother about Ted. Jan wanted to give Leslie the benefit of the doubt when it concerned Ted. Dani and Andre were prepared to go to Forrester Creations when they received blessing from Anita and Vernon. Vernon admitted that he and Anita had reservations at first about them being together, but they supported them now. They supported them because Andre helped Dani get over Bill. Dani wanted to give Andre one more chance to back out of the photoshoot. He said he was all in, but he had to go to his apartment to get something. He wanted to meet her at the airport. Dani told him the trip was off. He wanted to know why she changed her mind. She wanted him to think about it, and he would realize why she didn’t want to go anymore.

Naomi helped Ashley pack Derek’s things. Ashley admitted that she wasn’t honest about her feelings for Andre. Derek was with Shanice and showed him that he could stand. She was impressed with his progress. Derek told her what happened with Ashley. Shanice wanted to push him to work harder so he could recover. After Derek finished with Shanice, he went to Ashley’s place. Naomi told him to get his things out of Ashley’s place. He gave Naomi the keys and asked her to give them to Ashley. Ashley was at the hospital, and Shanice told her that she knew what was going on with Derek. She couldn’t tell her because of HIPPA laws.

Kat was upset that Eva called Ted “dad.” She talked to Chelsea and Tomas about it. While they were talking, Eva showed up. Eva and Kat argued with each other. They threatened each other. After they finished arguing, Eva walked away. Tomas told Kat that she was the one in the wrong. He said Eva had a right to have a relationship with Ted. Tomas told Kat that her attitude wasn’t doing anything to help their relationship. While they were talking, Izaiah called and wanted to meet with Tomas. He agreed to meet with Izaiah. While Izaiah was waiting for Tomas, Eva showed up. She talked to him about wanting to have a relationship with Kat and the rest of Ted’s family. Chelsea tried to talk to Kat about Eva but it didn’t do any good. Kat said she would do whatever she had to do to keep Eva out of Ted’s life.

Smitty and Martin argued over Samantha. He told Martin that he would push everyone he loved away if he didn’t change his ways. Martin thought they should take the kids offline. Smitty didn’t agree with that and wanted him to reconsider letting her go back to ChelseaKat. Samantha was with June and hoped she would agree with her. June wasn’t on her side. Samantha asked if she could live with her. June loved the idea of Samantha living with her, but she didn’t think she was in a position to be a full-time mother. She told Samantha about her parents passing away and said it wasn’t too late to make things right with her parents. Later on, Samantha went home and apologized to her parents.

At the hospital, Shanice talked to Ted about Carlton. She wondered if he would be able to handle being partners with Carlton if he pursued Nicole. They started flirting with each other. Eva showed up and noticed something going on between them. A man needed to get surgery but didn’t have insurance. Eva suggested that Leslie would help the man because she knew what it was like to be in that situation. When Eva told Ted and Shanice that Leslie would help, Kat overheard Eva call Ted “dad.” Kat was upset and walked away. Nicole saw the incident and let Kat know that it was Ted’s situation to handle. Martin ripped into Kat for talking about sex in front of Samantha. He said the conversation made Samantha want to have sex with Nathan. Kat was shocked that Samantha did that. When Kat tried to explain herself, Martin didn’t want to hear it. He called her a bad influence and said Samantha wouldn’t be working for Chelsea Kat. When Martin got home, he told Samantha the news. Martin and Samantha got into a heated argument which led to her saying she was moving out.

Naomi and Jacob spent time together. While they were out, they saw Derek drinking. Naomi was upset that Jacob and Derek kept quiet about Derek’s secret. She left to comfort Ashley. While they were talking, Naomi asked Ashley about her feelings for Andre. Naomi warned Ashley not to do the same thing as Hayley and hurt Dani. Ashley texted Andre so they could talk. Dani and Andre talked about their relationship. She suggested that while they were doing the shoot for Forrester Creations, they get real wedding rings. Later on, Andre met with Ashley. She told him that she wanted to be with him. Andre told her that he was falling in love with Dani. Izaiah went to the casino to talk to Joey. While they were talking, it was revealed that Joey was divorced. Later on, Joey told Vanessa that no one needed to know about his connection with Izaiah. Izaiah met up with Jacob and found out their father had a heart attack and no one told him. Things became tense between them.

Ashley vented to Shanice about why Derek was in such a hurry to get married. Derek was at home and fell trying to stand from his wheelchair. Jan showed up letting him know that she was in his corner regardless of how many times Ashley questioned her feelings for Andre. Shanice called Derek and told him that he would regret it if he didn’t tell Ashley the truth soon. Derek didn’t notice that Ashley walked in while he was on the phone with Shanice. She was excited that he was standing until she realized that he didn’t learn to stand overnight. Ashley realized that he lied to her for weeks. They had a big argument about it. It occurred to her that he kept quiet about it for weeks. Ashley wondered if he was pretending to be paralyzed to keep her from Andre. She begged him to say something to make it better He couldn’t do it. Ashley realized that he’s not the man she thought he was. She took her engagement ring off her finger and walked out of the room.

Nicole, Dani, Andre and Ted were at the Fairmont Crest. They talked about the Winterfest. Bill was hosting the event. Ted was shocked that he was still on the guest list. Dani told Andre that his decision not to do the campaign meant she had to put her runway career on the backburner. They had a conversation about his parents dying. Losing his parents changed Andre forever. He became selfish when it came to love because of what happened to his parents. While they were talking. Andre had a change of heart and decided to do the campaign. He wanted to donate the money to a charity in honor of his late father. Dani wanted to set up a foundation in his father’s name so that someone deserving gets an award. The foundation would be a way for his father’s name to live on forever. Andre was overwhelmed by her suggestion. Nicole talked with Laura about the Winterfest. Laura wondered how she would feel if Ted invited Leslie to it. Nicole wouldn’t like it. She wasn’t sure if she had the problem with him dating Leslie or anyone. Eve and Leslie talked about Ted forgiving them. Leslie believed that she would get Ted back. She advised Eva not to wait on things to happen. Leslie told her that “Mr. Right” wouldn’t just walk up to you. Ted arrived at Orphey Gene’s and sat with Leslie and Eva. They talked about new beginnings.

Pamela talked to Andre about Dani turning down the modeling job with Forrester. She asked why Andre didn’t like having his picture taken when he’s a handsome man. Andre said he didn’t want to be a model. Pamela said it was Dani’s last chance at being a model which was why she was pushing him to do it. Hayley yelled at Randy for telling Joey that they were having an affair. Randy said he needed an excuse for why the two of them were seen together. He said it was the first thing that came to his mind. Hayley said she couldn’t believe having sex with his cousin was the first thing that came to mind. Randy said he didn’t tell Joey that they were related. He said Joey wasn’t going to tell Bill. She told Randy that she let Joey know he couldn’t get a girl like her. Hayley said despite the problems, she had her eyes on the prize. She wanted to spend her late husband’s money. Randy wanted to know who hurt her. Hayley said everyone did, but she learned to turn it into her advantage.

Bill told Dani that Caroline ripped into him for spending too much time with her. He said he planned to keep his distance from her for Hayley’s sake. Dani said she wanted him to MC the WinterFest the way he always did. She said they may be dysfunctional but he was still her family. Dani said he could bring Hayley. While they were talking, Hayley showed up. Dani left. Hayley was furious about Dani being there until she found out it was for a donation. Bill said Dani didn’t need the money when she was set for life. Joey and Vanessa had breakfast at the country club. People were shocked to see them together. Joey didn’t care who saw them together. He made a comment about being responsible for Doug’s death so he could keep her to himself. Vanessa wasn’t sure if he was joking or not. She said she wanted a bigger role in the organization. Joey said he had a job for her. He said he was going to put her in charge of his escort service.

Eva talked to Leslie about getting closer to Ted. Leslie let her know that she felt closer to Ted too. She warmed up to the idea of Ted speaking fondly of the woman she used to be. Eva realized that parents had a better relationship until she got pregnant. Leslie assured her that she didn’t do anything wrong. She fought tears as she informed Eva that she would do anything for her child once she becomes a mother. The tears flowed as Leslie told her that the world was against them, and they faced it together. They started crying as they began to understand each other better. Vernon made another suspicious call to someone. Anita was at her wit’s end when Vernon saved her by arranging for Laura to help her. Vernon left them alone to talk. Laura talked to Anita about her issues with her boyfriend, Dave. Vernon met with Sharon at a hotel. Derek realized that Ashley lied to him about her schedule and their wedding plans after talking to Shanice. He texted Jacob and Naomi who were in the middle of an argument about wanting children. They put their argument on hold to meet Derek at the hospital. While they were at the hospital, Derek pressured Ashley to set a wedding date. Once Ashley realized what was going on she became enraged. Naomi got upset too because Derek dragged her and Jacob into their situation. After Jacob and Naomi left, Derek and Ashley talked. He thought she would be happy about him wanting to set a date, but she was upset. She felt like he was trying to push her away. Jacob felt like Naomi took her anger at him out of Derek. Both couples are at a crossroads.

Leslie told Jan that she and Ted were getting closer. She told Jan that Ted suggested that they might be friends one day. Ted and Eva had breakfast together. He said he wanted to make up for lost time and wanted her to call him dad. Ted told her that she reminded him of the way Leslie used to be. He let her know that he was proud of her. Later on, Ted went to Nicole to apologize to her. He let her know that he would respect her decision if she went to the Winterfest with Carlton. After Ted talked to Nicole, he ran into Leslie. While they were talking, Ted told Leslie that he wanted Eva to call him dad. Leslie was touched that he wanted Eva to call him dad. They hugged each other. Nicole showed up and saw them hugging. Hayley and Bill talked about getting a second home, They found a house and made an offer. After the offer was accepted, Bill said he was putting the house in Hayley’s name. Later on at Orphey Gene’s, Hayley ran into Joey. They had a friendly conversation until Joey brought up her secret with Randy. Hayley was upset and said she wasn’t having an affair with Randy. She threatened to sue him and “Sammy.”Hayley walked away from him. Tomas, Kat, Chelsea, and Madison met up. He said he was tired of talking about his situation. When Chelsea made a joke about his penis, Madison was upset. Chelsea told Kat that she and Madison were having problems. Kat took Madison’s side. Tomas ran into Eva at the club and told her Izaiah was Jacob’s brother.

After Derek and Ashley went to the Halloween party, they ran into Andre at a restaurant. When Andre left, Derek and Ashley talked about the wedding. While they were talking, Ashley began to panic. At Orphey Gene’s, Tyrell heard Nathan talk about Samantha. Nathan said Samantha wanted him to take her virginity. Tyrell was upset and wanted to hit Nathan. Jessica thought Nathan was disgusting for talking about Samantha the way he did. Tyrell and Nathan got into an argument. After they finished arguing, Jessica told Tyrell that she didn’t care that he wasn’t popular. Samantha asked Nicole if she could move in with her. Nicole gave her advice about sex. Martin eavesdropped on their conversation and heard Samantha say she got the idea that sex would bring her closer to Nathan from Kat. Martin was furious that Samantha heard that from Kat. He was also upset about her wanting to move in with Nicole. Leslie ran into Ted at Uptown. Ted talked about Nicole to Leslie. She tried to come on to him while they were talking. Ted told her she was ruining their chance at being friends. Leslie said her plan to ruin him didn’t feel as good as she thought. They ended up talking about the past. Carlton apologized to Nicole for his behavior at the hospital. Nicole realized that she wasn’t ready to move on after all. She didn’t want to make any big decisions right now while her heart is still broken. Carlton thanked her for her honesty. She pulled him into a kiss. Dani and Vanessa were at the club. She advised Vanessa to get Joey out of her life. Vanessa refused to apologize for not just feeling grief and guilt. Dani was afraid that she was going to marry Joey. Vanessa said she had a different plan in mind. She doesn’t want to stand by his side. Vanessa wants to sit beside him on the throne.

Elon went to see Joey to call him out. He didn’t like that Joey ordered Malone to stay in town and on his payroll. Joey thought they needed to be smart about it because there were bigger entities at stake. They weren’t the only ones in danger. Joey talked about a big name who looks like an angel but hides his horns. He thought they could groom Jacob. Joey said it was a joke, but Elon didn’t think it was funny. He did seem willing to groom Izaiah. Martin and Smitty were upset to see Samantha with Nathan. Samantha said it wasn’t what it looked like. Martin and Smitty weren’t convinced when they spotted a condom on the floor. They told Nathan off. Samantha was humiliated. She told them that she was the age of consent and didn’t need permission to be with Nathan. Her fathers weren’t buying what she said. They took her electronics away and said they were disappointed in her. Smitty and Martin talked about their parenting skills. While she was upstairs, Samantha talked to Tyrell about what happened. Tyrell warned her that Nathan was trouble. She took his phone and texted Nathan so they could meet up.

Kat and Chelsea met at Uptown to talk about work. While they were working, Chelsea noticed that Kat kept looking at the door. Kat said she wanted to see Izaiah again. She said she wanted to keep him away from Eva for his own sake. Kat wanted to pay Eva back for what she’s done. Changing the subject, Kat told Chelsea how insatiable Tomas was. Samantha walked in and heard the conversation. Kat said sex changed the game. Samantha took note of what Kat said. When Kat and Chelsea noticed Samantha standing there, they changed the subject. They told Samantha that respect, consent, communication, and boundaries were important. Samantha said she was going to eat at school.

At the police station, Jacob and Chief Hawthorne were getting into it when Izaiah walked in. Izaiah enjoyed seeing Jacob getting yelled at. Chief Hawthorne yelled at Izaiah for wasting his life. Izaiah told them about his new job offer at the college. Jacob congratulated him. Izaiah debated on accepting his congratulations. Chief Hawthorne was upset and decided to walk away. At the hospital, Nicole and Carlton planned their date. Ted showed up and yelled at Nicole for having an affair before they were divorced. When Carlton tried to defend Nicole, Ted was furious. Nicole decided to put Ted in his place. Carlton started arguing with Ted. Nicole tried to stop him but it didn’t work. When things got worse with Carlton and Ted, Nicole said she wanted a man who treasured her. Ted threatened Carlton. Nicole told Ted to leave. She told Carlton that their date was off.

Dani and Nicole were at the club and noticed Leslie there. They wanted to ignore her so they talked about what was going on with their family. As long as Leslie didn’t bother them, they weren’t going to go after her at the club. Hayley saw Nicole and wanted to offer her condolences, but they didn’t want to be bothered with her. She sat down, and Leslie wanted to talk to her. Hayley didn’t want to talk to her. Leslie told her that she needed a friend who wasn’t afraid of Bill. She knew that Hayley and Bill were having problems and wanted to help her take Bill down. Hayley wanted her to stay out of her way, and she walked away from her. Nicole and Dani made a toast to moving on when they saw Leslie and Hayley together. She told Dani about Ted and Leslie hooking up again. She was disgusted by the news. Dani said she was free to be with anyone she wanted including Carlton.

Eva and Izaiah were getting to know each other when Kat arrived. The sisters started arguing and Izaiah was confused by it. Kat filled him in on the type of person Eva is. Hayley went to see Bill and told him about her run in with Leslie. Bill thought she was crazy and promised to get her kicked out of the club. Hayley pretended to be worried about him going after Leslie. Caroline walked in the office and asked Hayley if she found the number she was looking for. Bill wondered what number Hayley needed. June was surprised to see Samantha at Orphey Gene’s. Nathan showed up, and June wasn’t happy that he ghosted Samantha. He insisted that he didn’t ghost her. Nathan told her what happened. He put the moves on Samantha while June watched in the background. June interrupted them. She dropped a milkshake on him while he was telling her about taking her clothes off. June threw him out of the restaurant, and Samantha was upset with her. June told her that she did her a favor. Nathan was a liar who didn’t respect her. Hayley took a message for Bill and changed the subject. She talked to him about what happened to Tomas. Carlton went to see Nicole. Nicole told him that she might be ready for more than friendship with him. She didn’t want to be inappropriate with him. Carlton was happy to take things to the next level. Nicole asked him to go to dinner with her.
