And he wants me to have surgery because of the bullet that happened years ago. I told him I’d see him in three months. I mean, this stuff with your heart’s pretty serious. You think it’s a good idea waiting that long? Yeah. He doesn’t want to want to wait, but he says three months is fine. [ Breathes deeply ] I mean, look, Michael’s gonna be recovering. Maybe he’ll come back to his family, and then it gives us time to find out who firebombed my apartment. I mean, three months isn’t a lot of — a lot of time. It’s all I got. Hi. I told Dante that Cyrus was a suspect in Sam’s murder. Danny was yelling at Cyrus, saying that he knew he killed his mother. And Cyrus just kept insisting that he didn’t have anything to do with it. It was — The whole place was just frozen. You could have heard a pin drop. Did you end it? I didn’t have the chance. Jason showed up. Yeah, Jason is great at ending confrontations. He said to Cyrus, “If you ever come near my son again, I’ll kill you.” And the whole room witnessed it? Yeah. Why would Danny think that Cyrus murdered his mother? I don’t know, but he is convinced. He wasn’t asking Cyrus, “If?” He was asking him, “Why?” Well, then he heard it from someone. Yeah, he heard it from someone who knows that Cyrus is a suspect. Otherwise, he never would have trusted them. Well, we can’t speculate or guess who it was. We need to find out for sure. Look, I know I shouldn’t have told Dante about Cyrus, but he’s not just my partner, okay? He’s my friend. But it’s okay to ignore my orders? Yeah. If anything like this happened to Brook Lynn, I would want to know everything. And I would move heaven and earth to find out. I understand. That is why discipline is such an important part of this job. All right, somehow, I think — I think Danny knows, also. What? Did Dante tell him? No, no, he must have overheard us. Oh, okay. Well, that may be so, but you’re not going anywhere. I’ve already got one detective on leave. I can’t afford to lose another one. If you want to do something for Dante, help me put together this case to bring the monster that killed Sam to justice. That was always my plan. Okay, good. But in order for me to bring this monster to justice, I need for him to be alive when we get him. Hey, I got here as soon as I could. What’s going on? I’m gonna let Kristina fill you in on this since she witnessed things firsthand. What? What? Witness? There was an incident at Charlie’s last night. Danny was accusing Cyrus of killing Sam. And I’d like you to be honest — Is Danny onto something? Yeah. Yeah. Apparently, Cyrus Renault is a suspect in the investigation, but it’s just a theory at this point. The police are still investigating. There’s no proof, no motive. Obviously, this theory isn’t out in the open because I haven’t heard about it until now. Well, no. They don’t want anyone to know about it. How did Danny find out? From me. Elaine is one of the best P.I.s in the business. But she is old-school. What does “old-school” mean in the P.I. world? Well, she doesn’t rely on any technology during her investigations. She doesn’t even use her phone. She writes everything down on one of those little reporter’s notebooks. She’s meticulous about it. It’s actually very impressive. And what’s the story with Mavis? I mean, it has to be hard to blend in when you have a dog with you. Well, Mavis is a distraction. Most of the time, Elaine’s targets get so wrapped up playing with Mavis, they don’t realize that Elaine has been questioning them the entire time. They don’t realize they have just spilled their guts to a private investigator. ♪♪ [ Sighs ] Ooh. You rang? Yes, I did. ♪♪ Willow and I are getting ready for a custody fight. Oh, I’m familiar with that concept. And we need to find some dirt on Michael. You know, just in case we need the leverage. I’m familiar with that concept. But I doubt we’re gonna find anything because Michael never put a foot out of line during his marriage. He was devoted to Willow. Oh, not so familiar with that one. Yep. I wonder what it’s like. Well, you know what? That might have seemed very admirable of Michael at the time, but it certainly does nothing for Willow now. It would have been better if he’d cheated on her. Oh, Nina, you don’t mean that. No, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t. I’m just — I’m terrified that Willow is going to lose custody of her children, and just when she’s already reeling, she’s gonna find out that Drew isn’t the perfect hero she thinks he is. And I know Willow won’t be able to handle that. Nina, we both know something that you could do that in all likelihood, would get Willow away from Drew for good. Yeah. By telling her that Drew and I were sleeping together when he started pursuing her? That’s the something. I was gonna tell her. I was on the verge of telling her the whole entire ugly truth. But she started to say these amazing things to me, and then Tracy showed up. But the important thing is that Willow said that she needed me more than anyone else in her life. That if it wasn’t for me, she couldn’t get through this whole ordeal. Oh, that must have felt so good. Do you know how long I’ve waited for her to say anything like that to me? Yes, I do. And I’m so glad she finally did. Yeah. And if I was honest with her, and I told her that Drew and I were having sex, our relationship would never recover, and Willow would have felt all alone. And who knows who she would turn to next, right? Exactly. Yeah. Now, I know you’re gonna say that I should still tell her the truth. No. You know what, Nina? No. I’m not. I support whatever decision you make here, because right now, it’s — it’s obvious that Willow needs you much more than she needs the truth. ♪♪ Ric, what happened in the park wasn’t the end of the world. Avery and Donna didn’t even realize something was wrong. You’re sure about that, hmm? Yes. I was with the girls. They were fine. She doesn’t suffer fools. I doubt either Sasha or Michael is that dumb. The point is, she’s the family cook. And even in a place as huge as the Quartermaines’, I mean, she’s gonna hear all the dirt because people love to hang out in the kitchen. Yeah. It’s possible. After everything he’s been through, he still confides in her. I’ve seen that happen before. Mm. And I am betting that Sasha has heard plenty of things that can be useful. Oh, I don’t know. If Michael’s anything like his old man, he is careful. It sounds like a bit of a long shot. Well, just give me a little bit more time. [ Sighs ] People do desperate things when they’re grieving. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Yeah, well, I was desperate, that’s for sure. I mean, Anna was right to put me on leave… ’cause the PCPD doesn’t know that Cyrus is guilty, but I already had him convicted in my mind. Okay, just hold on. You were trying to find someone to blame for Sam’s death. We’re all doing that. We need to find the person responsible for Sam’s death. And if it is Cyrus, then Danny’s in a lot of danger. Well, I wouldn’t panic about Danny being in any danger. Jason threatened to kill Cyrus if he ever came near his son again. And Jason doesn’t make empty threats. No, he certainly doesn’t. [ Sighs ] I’d be surprised if Cyrus lasts even a week. ♪♪ I think you know why you’re here. No. We had a complaint from Martin Grey that you threatened his brother Cyrus at Charlie’s. And in case you didn’t know, that is a Class D felony. Okay. So I’m hoping that maybe Martin is exaggerating because he’s still angry with you or… Fine. ♪♪ You want to tell me what happened between you and Cyrus last night at Charlie’s? And I know that you went there to protect your son. But you should have left it at that. You should have just got Danny out of there and leave us to deal with Cyrus. You can’t go ’round doing… I walked in, and I saw Cyrus’ hand on my son’s shoulder, and Danny was afraid. Of course he was. So I made sure Cyrus knew never to go near my son again. Yes, you did. And a room full of people heard you do it. And I don’t care. I don’t care. I will protect my son no matter what. ♪♪ You know the phrase, um, “It takes two to tango”? Yeah. Well, it also takes two equally responsible idiots to get trapped on a roof. So while we’re freezing up here [Chuckles] Tracy’s probably getting ready to fire me because she was supposed to ride this morning, and I wasn’t there to get her horse ready. I’m sure she’ll understand once you explain. Yeah, maybe, once she’s done laughing at me… and I survive the cold. Hey, um… did you run up here just to get away from me? No. I was trying not to draw attention to myself, because I used the DA’s office to request documents from G.H. that I should not have and can’t leave with. And? And I didn’t want to get caught. Are you telling me we’re gonna freeze to death because of documents? I’m gonna make Sonny listen to me list in detail every single thing that he ever did to put his family in danger. Go on. And then I’m gonna force Sonny to admit that he’s not safe to be around, despite his precious security. Oh, I can attest to that. I was with him. I was standing right next to him in Puerto Rico when someone was taking shots at him. Wait, wait. Was — Was Avery on that trip? Yeah. She was, actually. She was just in the next room. Oh, that is wonderful! I mean, sorry. That’s not wonderful. No, no, no, no, I know what you meant. Okay. And finally — And I like the way you think. All right, now, finally… Mm-hmm? …I’m gonna get Sonny to admit that he feels guilty about Michael being so terribly hurt in that attack that was clearly meant for him. And that is when I’m going to break him. Well, look at you… [ Chuckles ] …you evil genius. Oh. I’ll take that as a compliment. ♪♪ [ Knock on door ] Sonny: Ava! Open up. We gotta talk — now! There were a lot of people at Charlie’s last night. It was hard to hear anything going on between Jason and Cyrus. All I know is that they had a conversation. That’s interesting ’cause other witnesses confirmed Martin Grey’s account of the incident. So obviously some people heard what they were talking about. Hmm. Well, then I suggest you talk to those other witnesses because I didn’t hear a word Jason said to Cyrus. Jason cannot get involved in this case against Cyrus. That is not gonna end well. Okay, this is on me. I’ll talk to him. No, I’ll do it. I can tell you that this investigation is ongoing, and that there is information that we are not yet ready to release to the public. But I can see that you’ve already made up your mind that Cyrus killed Sam. Okay. Just as I thought. Look, when I’m ready to bring the suspect in, I need the suspect to be alive. Jason Morgan, I’m arresting you for threatening the life of Cyrus Renault. Hey, Mavis. I just need a little more time. [ Mavis barks ] [ Gasps ] Oh, my God! Mavis! Where’s Mavis? I don’t know. What happened?! She just slipped out of her leash and took off. Oh, my God! Mommy’s coming, honey! ♪♪ Mavis, you little bitch! Get back here! [ Tires screeching, Elaine screaming ]
