Um, speaking of dates, you’ve been in Port Charles for a while, and as far as I know, you haven’t been on one single date. I’ve been busy. Lucas, I think it is great you care about Carly’s love life, but I want to talk about yours. Why? There’s nothing to talk about. That’s kind of the point. Look, the Brad debacle was, like, years ago. Don’t you think it’s time to get back on that horse? Is it just me or is your brother giving me the stink eye ever since we sat down? [ Chuckles ] Probably. I think he would prefer that we don’t get any closer. I think everybody would. And in spite of these nearly universal warnings, you’re still here. Yeah. I make my own decisions. And you’ve done so much for me already. But what you did for me in Germany, you know, that’s on another level. Well, what I remember from Germany was you taking over Michael’s care under extremely stressful circumstances and then, uh, a trip to the spa. That’s all you remember? No. See right there? I mean, first she accuses Cyrus of murder to his face, and now she’s trespassing in his apartment? Oh, my God. That girl is gonna get herself killed. I know a lot has changed, the name, for one, but I spent a lot of my childhood here. That sounds pretty great. It was. And whenever I’m here, I just imagine my dad and Aunt Bobbie sitting around telling stories about Aunt Ruby. Yeah. You know, after everybody goes home and it’s empty in here, I definitely feel closer to my grandma. It would mean the world to her and my dad to see you here. And it makes me wonder. Maybe I should have got a job here instead of at Deception, you know, be a part of the whole family-tradition thing. [ Chuckles ] Part of me always wanted to have that Kelly’s/Bobbie’s experience. I mean, he lives at the Quartermaines’. Maybe he overheard Chase and Dante talking about the investigation? Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I can’t believe he confronted Cyrus. Wait, wait! Come on! You are a kind woman with a really good heart. You’re a loving mother and a wonderful nurse. I am also someone who left her husband for his uncle and managed to hurt quite a few people along the way. So? You made a mistake. Everyone has made mistakes. You need to promise me this — that you’re not gonna let any of these people change the way that you see yourself. You’re amazing. And I am so proud to be your mother. So I want you to hold your head up high. I will do my best. That’s my girl. You need to back off Drew and Willow. I was. I have. Kristina: Did Lucky ever tell you our dads used to run a club together? He did not. Yeah. That’s why working together feels like… Like things have come full circle? Yes. Right. Ah. That’s exactly it. Mm-hmm. He’s a great guy, and, you know, he’s super cool under pressure, which is great because I am not. [ Chuckles ] You should’ve seen me this afternoon. Sounds — Is “intriguing” the right word? I’m not so sure. What I am sure of, though, is I was seconds away from punching out my sister’s mother if Elizabeth hadn’t saved me. There you go. Thank you. Yeah. She saves a lot of people. ♪♪ Why did you almost start throwing punches? Uh, well, um, I… I have a lot of anger wrapped up in Ava. She’s, um — She caused the accident which made me lose my daughter. Any friend of Lucky’s is someone I want to know. I am not self-involved. Then why did you bring the conversation back to your event instead of focusing on Trina? She was obviously upset. We were getting so close to nailing him, and now… He knows that people are onto him. We might be farther away than ever. [ Panting ] Uh, the burger. And…primavera. Excuse me, miss, I think that burger is mine. And I’m a vegetarian. I ordered the pasta. I am so sorry. Um… And what about you? Still waiting on a menu. Right. Um, just one sec. Um… Here you are. Uh, so, um, a lot of people in this, uh, family and town have assumed that I am the father — and I’m not. But for now, for certain reasons, it’s just easier to let everybody believe that I am. Your dad is really helping me by doing this. And I did that on one condition — that you know the truth. So only the three of us know? That’s it. The three of us. And it’s got to stay that way. So, we heard from Cyrus’ super that he let a young, blond, early-20s girl into Cyrus’ apartment because she claimed to be working with him at the mission. Hm. Well, I’m not the only blonde in Port Charles. He identified a photo of you. Well, how good was this photo? And I’m sorry. What’s the crime? How can it be trespassing if this person was let in by the super? Well, it is. It’s — It’s criminal trespassing, to be exact. And fraud. You’re very smart, Josslyn. I didn’t think I would need to have to explain this to you, but apparently I do. This little game that you’re playing is extremely dangerous, and it could cost you your life! Ah, yes. How could I forget? You can’t. Because I won’t ever let you. Because you framed me for drunk driving. [ Chuckles ] Not my finest hour. The only reason you are not in prison is because I chose not to pursue it. So now I need you not to pursue Drew and Willow. Can I just write you a check? No! Okay. You showed me generosity when I didn’t deserve it. I can do the same. What form will this “generosity” take? I will keep my observations to myself and my passions in check. You know you really have to do it. You can’t just “try.” I know. I don’t want my lack of discipline to… cause you any more loss. Thank you. Is that it? We’re even? If you keep your promise, we are. There has been a silver lining in all of this. We’ve gotten closer. And for the first time in my life, I feel like I… truly have a mother. [ Exhales sharply ] I can’t tell you how much that means to me. I spent so much time pushing you away, but now I could not have gotten through any of this without… my mom. Mariah Maximiliana Jones. Maxie’s fine. And I suppose you’re here to read me the riot act for stealing your father’s job. No. No? No. I mean, yes, I do believe you screwed my dad out of a job, but we are gonna put a pin in that and circle back to it later ’cause I have something more important to discuss with you. I love that my brother is looking out for me. But you don’t have to worry. Jack has been good to me. Carly, it’s one thing for you to get involved with a Mob boss or a hitman or a reformed serial killer — Okay, I don’t really understand how Jack could be a step down from that. Because he will ruin your life. How? By lying. Look at me and Brad. Brad lied to me for years, and it destroyed my family and my relationship. Call me an optimist, but I don’t think Jack is gonna steal someone else’s baby and try and pass it off as our own. But he will lie to you. Constantly. It’s his literal job. Carly, you can’t get into a relationship based on lies. Okay, no one’s talking about a relationship here. We have just been flirting and made out a couple times. You know, it is one thing for you to lie to me, but, Carly, for your own good… don’t lie to yourself. If I wanted to experience the family business, it would’ve been nice if I inherited the necessary skills! Come on. I think — I think you’re doing pretty good. Ugh… [ Sighs ] [ Sniffing ] What? No, no, no, no, no, no. Don’t do that. [ Chuckles ] Uh, sorry, everybody. Whew! How many pieces of toast were in there? [ Both laughing ] Where’s the cook, by the way? On a break! On a break? I told him I’d watch the toast! Well, you were watching the toast. I mean, you knew where it was. This is — This is a disaster. [ Both laughing ] No. Stop it. Stop laughing. What? This is — This is — This is bad. Okay. Ugh! [ Sniffs ] I think I have egg in my hair. [ Laughs ] I didn’t even serve eggs! You got ketchup on there, too. [ Both laughing ] Oh, no! This is bad! [ Laughs ] Ah… What? I haven’t — I haven’t laughed since Sam died. I’m sorry. No. There’s no need to be. I… I guess maybe it feels like if I’m laughing, I-I’m not grieving her and I’m moving away from her. And I don’t want to — I don’t want to move away from Sam. Sam would never want you to feel guilty about experiencing joy. She was a hell-raiser and an adventurer. When she was alive, she lived. Dante, you’ll always miss Sam, and part of you will always grieve her, but she wouldn’t want you to wallow in it forever. ♪♪ How did you end up running such a fine establishment? Well, I — I was actually managing it first. Uh, but then when my daughter died, my dad thought I could use the distraction and, y-you know… have somewhere to find a purpose again. And, uh I gotta say, it really helped. I think it’s great that you and your dad are so close. Yeah, he’s — he’s the best. I don’t know what I would do without him. The way that I see it is that I can’t control what other people do, but I can control how I react. And there was a couple of times in my life that I just carried a lot of fear around, and I would lose sleep worrying about what might happen. And that’s just not who I am anymore. I’m taking back control. Taking back control. Those are good words to live by. Cyrus might leave town before anybody gets a chance to — to bring him down. I mean, it’s the smart thing to do. And if he does that, any chance of getting justice for anybody goes with him. There’s got to be something we can do. I-I say we take whatever evidence we have to Anna, sooner rather than later, before it’s too late. All right. Let’s say that you’re right about Cyrus. I am right about Cyrus. Okay. Then you know how dangerous he is. Not only did you accuse him to his face of murder, but you now conned his super into getting into his apartment. Like I said, that could have been anyone. Okay, between the description that the super has now probably passed on to Cyrus and the story that you told him, you’ve now placed yourself directly in his crosshairs. If Cyrus thinks he’s free and clear, he might not come after you. But if he suspects that we’re closing in on him, then he’s gonna feel cornered, and that is when he is dangerous! Okay. Um, should I go or should I call Diane? Call Diane. I’m arresting you for trespassing. For your own damn good. Commissioner, before you arrest her, can I talk to her? Anna: Yes! Danny, I can tell you anything you want to know, except who the father is. I have to respect his privacy. The less you know, the better. Y-Yeah. I mean, I get it. Yeah. But I told the father, and he supports my raising it alone completely. I didn’t keep anything from him. Yeah. Okay. Okay? You good? You sure? Yeah. I mean… this is never a conversation I thought I’d have, but what you’re doing is so brave. It’s great that you’re helping a friend out, Dad. That’s what Mom always did. I got great parents. I’m lucky. You really are. And, anyway, I should go find Rocco and thank him for helping you find me. ♪♪ Thank you for — for helping me with Danny. I’m sure he understood better hearing it from you. Don’t thank me. You are the one doing me a huge favor. Well, I gotta get going. Uh, Jason, wait. If you are on your way to see Cyrus, don’t. That is the worst thing you can do for your son. It’s nothing. I think I know what it was. Yeah? The way you were talking about Drew. I think you’re finally seeing him the way I do. Wow. Yeah. That’s — That’s it. Exactly. Thank you. For everything. For trying with Drew, for opening your home to me and the kids. You don’t have to thank me. You’re my family. So were the Quartermaines and the Corinthoses. And now they hate me. And it’s made me realize that I need to trust the people who have proven that they still care about me, who have stayed by my side, like you. Always. I’ve also learned that I need to stop letting my emotions cloud my judgment. So I give you my blessing to reach out to Martin to look for dirt on Michael. Drew and Willow have alienated practically everybody in town, and you may have gotten me to step back, but you can’t silence everybody. I’ll have to figure out something else. I admire your resolve. And whatever you figure out, it is not gonna bode well for Willow and Drew. ♪♪ I’m not the biggest WSB fan. I mean, my dad chose that life over us, and it cost him his family. Well, I’m sorry you feel — Still talking. Clearly you want this life, though, so if you’re looking to just “have some fun” before you’re inevitably transferred, stay away from Carly. I don’t see how this is any of your concern. Well, it’s not, but I know Carly’s been through a lot lately. I’m aware. Great. Then you’ll take me seriously. Because if there’s one thing you and “Frisco Jones’ daughter” know all too well, it’s that it’s not fair for you to get involved with anyone, especially Carly, when you know your job won’t allow it. My drink’s on his tab. We can’t shut ourselves off because we’ve been hurt. And we can’t let the “what-ifs” scare us into hiding. Because then we miss out on all this amazing life to live. And I’m reminded over and over again that life is short. So what you’re saying is that I shouldn’t worry about my future relationships being as big of a disaster as my marriage to Brad was. Mm-hmm. Not just yours, but mine, too. Okay? Ha! Seriously. Let’s wait for some big disaster to happen, and then we can panic together. Hm. Fine. Thank you. [ Laughs ] ♪♪ I am now ready for that date. [ Laughs ] Thanks. Hey, am I forgiven yet? Oh, yeah. I forgave you a while ago. Can’t really stay mad at you when you bat those great eyelashes at me. What are you talking about? Oh, wow. You have really great eyelashes, too, Dante. [ Laughs ] Uh, thank you, I guess. I’ve never been complimented on my eyelashes before. How about you? Uh, no. Oh. Okay. Well, I guess it’s just us, then. Well, one, we’re Italian, right? And, two, handsome runs rampant in the old neighborhood. Commissioner, I want to talk to somebody right away. I want to file a complaint against Jason Morgan. Oh, for Pete’s sake. What is it this time? He threatened to kill my brother in a crowded bar. Calm down. Let’s just hear — No. With all due respect, I think I should talk to somebody else ’cause I am sick and tired of watching you go to any length you have to to protect Jason! Makes me wonder how long it’s gonna be before you’re literally his accomplice. Look. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I know how much you loved Dex. I cared for him, too. I know. If Cyrus is responsible, we are going to make him pay. When? As soon as possible. But Cyrus is dangerous. And you know Dex wouldn’t want you to put yourself in harm’s way. I need to do better than that by him. So please stop putting yourself in danger and let us handle it.

Excuse me. I saw how Danny looks at you. He idolizes you. If you kill Cyrus, you’re throwing that all away. You know that, right? I appreciate your concern. Look. I can’t stop you, obviously. But before you leave, ask yourself what’s more important — revenge or your son’s love and respect? ♪♪ [ Soft music playing ] Did you put this on? I — I did not. I swear. Ohh. And I believe you.
