You are not stupid. And you don’t even know how rehab will turn out before you even start it. My first orthopedist told me to my face that I should never play another snap of football. Then why are you sabotaging a project that could give jobs to those constituents? Because the environmental report came back with a lot of concerns, and we just have to pause to reevaluate. Projects like this one die in committee because some House member has an axe to grind. It’s Aurora’s project, right? And as CEO of Aurora, it’s really up to you to clear up any issues before Congress can release funding. Aurora will be just fine if the Esplanade doesn’t happen. Well, there you have it. But you, on the other hand, will be screwing over Jordan, your constituents, and the project that carries the name of the man who gave you his seat in Congress in the first place. You know what, Curtis? You seem a little tense. I say you and I, we work it out in the ring. Well, as much as I hate to admit it, Ric did make a couple of good points. Sam was in that bed because of me, and she’s gone because of me. And I don’t know how to live with that. How can I not feel responsible for Sam’s death? The only reason she was in that bed was because of me. It’s very human to feel like it’s your fault, but it’s also completely untrue. Lulu, you are not responsible for Sam’s death. There is one person who is. And that’s the murderer. I know that. It’s just so hard to silence that voice that keeps telling me that it was my fault. And then when I think about how Dante must see me, that voice just booms. Because Dante is really grieving right now. But you can’t assume that you know how he feels. But you could ask. Just like that? With the connection that the two of you have? Yeah. Just like that. Now, it may not be the best time to express the full breadth of your feelings for Dante. No kidding.
